OFX EPISODE 125: LEON KOFOED AND THE SPARTAN 3KM. Brought to you by Duonamic. When Spartan announced a 3km, we immediately thought about the rig master himself Leon Kofoed. We knew he would crush it, and amongst a stacked field, we finally got to see him do what he does best.
Enjoy. Hosted on Acast. If you've been taught to believe that emotional eating is something to feel shameful about, you're not alone. But the truth is: food is emotional! It can soothe, evoke memories, create connections, and even transport us to another time in our lives. You can eat for all sorts of reasons besides physical hunger: to console, to comfort, to cheer, to dull feelings, to distract. And that's okay, as long as you feel good afterward. But sometimes food isn't what you're really hungry for, and eating it doesn't make you feel any better. That's when you want to have non-food coping mechanisms. Kathrine Kofoed, an evidence-based nutritionist and ACE-certified health coach, struggled with emotional eating for years and beat herself up along the way. When she learned how to get honest with herself and ask the right questions, she found other means to support her when food wasn't the answer. Now, after repairing her own relationship with food, Kathrine's on a mission to help as many people as possible approach their habits with both mindfulness and compassion to get to the root cause of their emotional eating. In this episode, you'll learn: What emotional eating can teach you about your habits and life Identifying emotional eating triggers and ways to respond Non-food coping mechanisms to support you when food isn't the answer Three different emotional eater archetypes and how to determine yours The best tip that will help you reconnect to your body before eating Hopefully, this conversation will empower you to release the shame around emotional eating so that you can understand why you are turning to food and when non-food coping mechanisms might be a better option for you.

Her udkommer episoderne før du kommer under Sidemakker. Læs mere om din cykelpodcast Velo Guiden her: https://www.veloguiden.dk/

As the school gates reopen for another term, teachers are throwing their support behind new Covid-19 guidelines. The Ministry of Education has written to schools asking them to enforce mask wearing policies. Auckland Primary Principals Association President Wendy Kofoed told Mike Hosking mask-wearing is a small price to keep kids in the classroom. The Government has issued a strongly worded recommendation to schools to enforce mask-wearing for the first four weeks of Term 3. But it's stopped short of making masks compulsory nationally, instead leaving it to each school to decide for itself. Auckland Primary Principals Association President Wendy Kofoed told Heather du Plessis-Allan that in her experience parents are hugely supportive of students wearing masks. “This is just part of our school culture. And it's one of the reasons I think we've been able to minimise student and staff infections in our school.” LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week we focused on a topic of health and nutrition that many of us know all too well... emotional eating. Well we say it's time to break up with the old way of thinking, and introduce some habits that support out mental, emotional, and physical health- otherwise known as the trifecta! This week, learn about Kathrine's "wake up call" moment involving her family's health, inspiring her to devote her life and career to helping herself and others deal with the management and prevention of chronic diseases. There is so much more to health than what we put in our body. We touched on obsessions surrounding food and health restrictions, otherwise known as the term coined "orthorexia", emotional eating, toxic language, and how to ride the line of passion for fitness and health and a disordered lifestyle.
