The Stories-A History of Appalachia, One Story at a Time podcast is an absolute gem that I stumbled upon and I am so glad I did. As someone who is interested in history and has a connection to the Appalachian region, this podcast has been a wonderful find. It feels like listening to stories about my home and it adds a sense of familiarity and comfort. The hosts do an amazing job of bringing these stories to life and their passion for the subject matter is evident.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the wide range of stories that are covered. From tales of local legends to discussions about historical events, there is something for everyone here. The hosts provide context and background information before delving into each story, which helps to create a deeper understanding and connection to the topic. Additionally, the narrators' enthusiasm and enjoyment in telling these stories is infectious and makes for engaging listening.

Another great aspect of this podcast is the concise format. Each episode is around ten minutes long, making it perfect for those who want bite-sized doses of history. It's convenient to be able to listen to an episode during short breaks or while winding down before bed. While longer episodes might be appreciated occasionally, the shorter format works well for this particular podcast.

In terms of drawbacks, there isn't much to criticize. Some listeners might prefer longer episodes with more in-depth discussions, but considering the aim of this podcast is to share many stories from Appalachia's history, keeping it concise is understandable.

In conclusion, The Stories-A History of Appalachia, One Story at a Time podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in Appalachian history or simply enjoys hearing captivating stories from the past. The hosts' love for their subject matter truly shines through in each episode and makes for an enjoyable experience. Whether you have personal ties to the region or just appreciate fascinating tales from history, this podcast will keep you entertained while also educating you about this unique part of the United States.
