This stimulates innovation and accelerate visions of Utopia (which is not a uniform concept).We will experience leaps and bounds as social movements evolve and take shape. As Neptune has gone direct this December 7, conversations intensified on social media of who warrants sympathy in a crime and who does not. The event recently in New York City — still a shock as I write this, the assassination of United Health Care CEO who was gunned down in a midtown street early morning, simply doesn't happen! In spite of prattle about how dangerous cities like New York City are, this is not normal. It is Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto, symbol of irrevocable transformation in the sign of freedom and revolution. No one should be shot down, but the public response as to the news that the bullets were inscribed “deny, delay, depose” has connected to many who are sick of the US health system and its allegiance to profits. As Neptune has been in the sign in Pisces, it has intensified the feelings of victimization. The sense of not being understood, coupled with the seduction of social media as well as denial of subliminal messages. Conspiracy theories abound regardless of what camp you happen to be in politics, education or the legal system, you name it. So, am I singing “hallelujah” as Neptune makes this pass that will eventually take it into Aries? Well, we'll see. And I will post soon the astrology of the time of the shooting.Back to this this week: it opens with Mercury and Mars retrograde; communications tend to get snarled. You can't assume anything. It's really important to back up your files. Get your books and files in order. If you didn't do it before the retrograde, this is a great time to do it. Overall this week is opening with pretty good energy considering everything else that's going on. We're still in the waxing moon cycle. We're building energetically whatever it is. We are trying to launch, get off the ground, finish complete. And as long as we keep those retrogrades in mind and are doing our due diligence and moving, you know, mincingly forward or as with as much Intentionality as we possibly can, it can be a productive week. In Episode 81 astrologers, with Pride Month just around the corner, Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on newly established queer actress Sophia Bush and her girlfriend, soccer star Ashlyn Harris.  The two recently made their red carpet debut, so we thought we'd take a look at their synastry!   First, we dive into Sophia's birth chart and see a sensitive and nurturing Cancer Sun, but with a square from Mars and Saturn, there might be a harder and more confrontational side to her. A grand air trine sticks out the most, this makes her intellectual, charming, and very articulate.     Next, we look at Ashlyn's chart and see a Libra Sun, she is known for her fashion sense, this also makes her fair-minded, pro-justice, and partnership oriented.  We see a responsible and stable (albeit emotionally withdrawn) Capricorn Moon along with a positive Mercury aspect, making her a good listener and someone who can give practical advice.   Together, their synastry chart shows us mutual Sun/Mercury trines, telling us they evoke confidence in each other and speak the same language. A positive Uranus aspecting multiple relationship points tells us there is an emphasis on friendship, freedom, and openness. In Episode 78 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield work their way through the astrological synastry between actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. The two have been married since 2010, proving they do have some staying power!   First we look at John's chart and note immediate "trickster" energy thanks to his Gemini Rising (perfect for his character Jim on The Office!). We also find he is a New Moon in Libra baby, explaining his massive charm and likeability. With his Sun and Moon being in the fifth house of self-expression, his performance, confidence, leadership, and directorial talents are high on the list of his gifts.   Next we discuss Emily's chart and find a grand trine in water, making her supremely sensitive, imaginative and intuitive.  With Saturn aspecting her Sun and Moon, we understand her hard lessons in developing her intuition growing up (a stuttering problem being the main manifestation of this aspect).  We also see a Cancer Moon, giving her emotional fulfillment in having domestic routines.   Together, they have an insatiable Sun/Moon/Pluto conjunction. The attraction is immediate and develops deep roots of trust, making them excellent teammates, and also business partners. We also see a sweet, loving, supportive Venus/Moon contact. The Mercury/Mars opposition could denote loud disagreements but without other hard aspects, this might not be so bad. The Leo Full Moon (Jan. 25, 9:54 am PST, 05º14' Leo-Aquarius) is on Sabian symbol 6 Leo, An old-fashioned woman and an up to date girl. Celebrate what's unique about you and the beautiful artistic qualities you offer the world – but rein in the drama. [6:22] This is the Full Moon in a Lunar Phase Family Cycle that began on July 28, 2022, with a New Moon at 05º38' Leo. The First Quarter in this cycle was on April 27, 2023, the Last Quarter on Oct. 24, 2024. [7:18] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Jan. 22, the Moon in Gemini opposes Venus in Sagittarius (12:40 pm PST) and is VOC for just over sixty minutes, then enters Cancer (1:51 pm PST). Going after something you desire often means leaving your comfort zone. [9:04] On Jan. 24, the Moon in Cancer trines Neptune (2:58 pm PST), then is VOC for about 8 ½ hours, until the Moon enters Leo (11:36 pm PST).  [10:35] On Jan. 26, the Moon in Leo squares Uranus (1:19 pm PST) and begins a 21-hour VOC (!!!) period, before entering Virgo (Jan. 27, 11:11 am PST). This examines how being ourselves conflicts with belonging to a group. [12:05] The Sun in Aquarius squares Jupiter on Jan. 26 (11:19 pm PST) at 06º49' Aquarius-Taurus. Watch out for conflict between progress and need for financial certainty. [13:52] On Jan. 26 (11:35 pm PST), Uranus stations direct at 19°05' on the Sabian symbol 20 Taurus, Wind, clouds, and haste. Don't move too quickly or make impulsive decisions that can't be taken back. [15:52] Mercury conjoins Mars on Jan. 27 (6:59 am PST, 17º17' Capricorn). This is the third in a series of Mercury-Mars conjunctions. The first was on Oct. 29 and the second on Dec. 27, 2023. This combination supports mental acuity and courage to say what we need to say. [17:09] On Jan. 28 (1:06 pm PST), Mercury trines Uranus at 19°05' Capricorn-Taurus. This is an excellent aspect for opening our minds to the sudden inspiration that seems to come from nowhere. [18:27] Venus sextiles Saturn on Jan. 27 (10:03 pm PST) at 6°00' Capricorn-Pisces. Build something that you love. [19:07] On Jan. 28 (5:02 pm PST), Venus trines Jupiter at 06°59' Capricorn-Taurus. The heaviness on the planet right now reflects this Scorpio Lunar Eclipse and Pluto in direct motion squaring the nodal axis. This set up occurs with Saturn now also going direct @ 1* Pisces. Reality checks for all right now. That Lunar Eclipse this weekend is @ 5* Scorpio-Taurus and also highlights oppositions of the Mercury-Mars conjunction (Scorpio) to Jupiter (Taurus). The themes are: Power Over vs. Autonomy. My Resources vs. Shared Resources. Activated polarities of energies abound so as to provide a catharsis leading to initiating new ways forward. What are the new realities facing you? Find common ground and seek balance in relating with partners and colleagues. Finally, Jupiter in Taurus moves from new phase to crescent phase with Neptune in Pisces. This provides another transitional vibe from yang to yin, so, internal adjustments abound. Welcome to Eclipse season! Anxiety, defensiveness, and big emotions are included in this week's horoscope. We'll be feeling the affects of a Mars Square to Pluto throughout the week as it builds towards exactitude next week. On the second Mercury forms an opposition to Neptune, kicking up anxieties. Luckily, on the third Mercury forms a trine to Pluto, which will have a stabilizing and grounding impact.

Cerebral Mercury has entered his shadow period in preparation of his retrograde motion in his Virgo on 23/24 August (depending where on Earth you are). During this time there is a magical Grand Earth Trine forming in the skies, comprising of Mercury–Mars in Virgo, Jupiter–Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn! The whole period is triggered into action by a secretly seething Moon in Scorpio opposite a rather discombobulated Uranus in Taurus, forming a temperamental T-Square apexing at righteous Lilith in Leo and the fastidious Sun in Virgo... Another thing to observe is the crossover between Venus and Mercury retrograde periods; both highlighting areas we need to identify what we truly value, followed up with a tricky decision which could prompt a complete change of direction.
