Godwin was born and raised in Africa. He grew up in a home without electricity or water. When he was five years old, he hurt his right hip. He could not stand upright and had to use a stick to prop himself up. His parents didn't think he would be able to walk again.  He overcame all that, and won a full undergraduate scholarship to complete his degree in Physical Therapy.  When he graduated, he had the honor of traveling the world training Olympic gold medalists as FIFA Soccer World Champions.  He moved to the US after that to complete his master's degree in Health & Fitness.  Then he started designing fitness programs for overwhelmed high achieving entrepreneurs to accomplish their fitness goals. Algunos logros aquí o allá hacen que creamos que somos mejores que los demás y, al inflarse nuestro ego, tendemos a despreciar a los que creemos que son más débiles que nosotros. Quiero decirte que te pierdes mucho por no intentar por lo menos ser amistoso con los más débiles. Así como el león, te llevarías una sorpresa si lo intentaras.¿Cómo se les llama a las personas que se creen más que los demás? Orgullosos o soberbios. Y ¿sabes qué piensa Dios de ellos? Vuelve a leer el versículo de hoy. Eso mismo: ¡El Señor no los soporta! ¡Qué cosa más fea es contar con el desagrado de Dios! Ojalá nunca ocupemos el lugar de los orgullosos y los soberbios.¿Y sabes qué es lo opuesto al orgullo? La humildad. Alguien humilde no se cree mejor que nadie. Es amigo de todos y valora a todos. "Mordi e fuggi - Il romanzo delle BR" di Alessandro Bertante (Baldini+Castoldi) è un romanzo dal ritmo incalzante che racconta la storia di un ragazzo di vent'anni nella Milano a cavallo fra anni '60 e '70 che partecipa alla creazione delle Brigate Rosse. Un romanzo su uno dei periodi più controversi e cupi della storia italiana. La vicenda è narrata dal punto di vista del ragazzo, Alberto, di cui dunque si seguono i ragionamenti e le emozioni: dall'adesione alla rivoluzione armata alle riflessioni critiche. Un romanzo che trae spunto da una storia vera: in una nota finale lo scrittore precisa che Alberto Boscolo (nome di fantasia) lasciò la lotta armata nel giugno 1972, non fu mai incriminato e nessun brigatista rivelò la sua vera identità. Cosa che non fa neanche l'autore del romanzo. Nella seconda parte parliamo di "L'estate che resta", opera prima di Giulia Baldelli (Guanda). La storia di un amore, quasi un'ossessione amorosa, che inizia nell'infanzia e prosegue nella vita adulta. Protagonista è Giulia che a dieci anni incontra una bambina, Cristi, più piccola di lei di tre anni. Da subito Cristi sembra essere una calamita per Giulia, ma anche per un altro bambino Mattia. Cristi e Mattia frequentano il paesino dell'entroterra marchigiano in cui è ambientato il romanzo solo in estate, mentre Giulia ci vive tutto l'anno e aspetta l'estate per incontrare Cristi. Un triangolo, un amore nato nell'infanzia e destinato a segnare profondamente la vita di Giulia.
