In this episode of the **Jeep Talk Show**, host Tony sits down with Shane from **Genesis Offroad** for an in-depth interview on dual battery systems, power solutions, and keeping your Jeep reliable on and off the trail. Shane shares the origin story of Genesis Offroad—starting with his passion for Jeeps in 2008, launching the company in 2010 during tough economic times, and building high-quality, innovative parts right here in the USA. It all began when he couldn't find a solid dual battery setup for a high-electrical-demand build, so he created his own premium kit—and the rest is history! We dive deep into: - Why the factory auxiliary battery (that pesky little one under the fuse box) is a common pain point—and how Genesis solves it with options like stock relocation kits, stock replacement kits (using two full-size batteries), and full Gen 3 dual battery systems. - The **Gen 3 Power Hub**: Smart battery combining, automatic isolation to protect your cranking battery, bus bars for easy accessory wiring, manual boost switch for jumpstarting, and how it keeps everything running even if something fails. - Advantages of dual batteries: Power accessories (fridge, lights, winch, compressor) with the engine off without killing your starter battery, better winching performance by spreading load, faster restarts, and peace of mind in remote areas. - AGM vs. lead-acid batteries, capacity vs. cranking amps, why Group 25 batteries match or exceed stock performance in a cleaner package, and tips on battery rotation, mismatched batteries, and replacement strategies. - The **G-Screen** monitor: Tiny in-cab display showing voltages, link status (with color alerts: green/yellow/red), boost control, and even optional air pressure readout—no big screens needed! - The newer **Omega system**: Uses a REDARC DC-DC charger for full isolation (great for mixing AGM + lithium), Anderson plug for easy solar input, and Bluetooth app monitoring. - Solar compatibility, snorkel fitment tips (like a quick heat-gun tweak), and support for JL/JLU, JT Gladiator, JK, 392/diesel Wranglers, Toyotas, Broncos, and more—plus universal options. Shane and Amy run a faith-driven, customer-focused business delivering top-notch, American-made products to the off-road community. Whether you're overlanding, daily driving, or just hate dead batteries in inconvenient spots, this setup changes the game. 00:00 Show Introduction and Guest Background 01:19 Auxiliary Battery Issues and Start‑Stop Debate 03:26 Battery Relocation Kit and Installation Details 06:57 Dual‑Battery Kit Evolution and Custom Jeep Market Gap 12:49 Dual Battery System Overview and Operational Mechanics 15:50 Load Sharing, Winching Power, and Current Capacity 17:50 AGM Battery Benefits: Capacity, Ah Ratings, and Installation 21:38 Battery Size, Capacity, and Comparison (Group 25 vs H7) 23:35 Dual Battery System Operation, Boost Feature, and Backup 27:32 Battery Cycle Life, Failure Management & Switching Options 32:49 Dual‑battery system considerations and cost 36:29 Power hub identification and wiring overview 39:22 Benefits and safety advantages of dual batteries 41:01 Potential failures and emergency situations 41:21 Dual Battery Basics:Common Misconceptions, System Limits & Boost Operation 42:59 System Configurations, Start‑Stop and Battery Management 44:39 G‑Screen Monitoring Interface and Features 49:25 Omega DualBattery Kit: Bluetooth, Solar Integration & Vehicle Compatibility Overview 54:55 Installation, Website Resources, and Podcast Details 57:38 IT Support, Battery Tips, Social Media, and Closing Remarks Check out their full lineup, install videos, tech tips, and the "Overcharged" podcast at:

From Overcharged to Death Penalty: Luigi Mangione & Tyler Robinson Updates Breaking true crime developments are shaking two high-profile cases, with prosecutors and investigators moving decisively on both fronts. First, Luigi Mangione, accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, saw his controversial murder-one charge dismissed in New York. Prosecutors had originally pursued a terrorism-linked charge after Mangione shot Thompson in the back, but critics long argued this was an overreach. Under New York law, first-degree murder is tied to the victim's status, not premeditation, and prosecutors' attempt to frame the attack as a terrorist act was widely viewed as a stretch. While the top charge has been thrown out, Mangione still faces second-degree murder charges in New York and, more significantly, a federal murder case where the death penalty is already on the table. Crossing state lines to commit murder solidifies federal jurisdiction, and experts say the case should have been federal from the start. Mangione's fate now rests with the federal system, where conviction could mean death row. Meanwhile, shocking new details have emerged in the case of Tyler Robinson, accused of assassinating conservative political figure Charlie Kirk during a public event. Prosecutors outlined seven serious charges, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and firearm-related offenses. The aggravating factors cited were chilling: Robinson allegedly opened fire from 150 yards away in a crowded public space, putting numerous lives at risk, including children present at the scene. Prosecutors compared the setting to other high-profile assassination attempts, underscoring the public danger and trauma inflicted. Equally disturbing are the obstruction charges, which center on Robinson's attempts to silence his partner and erase incriminating text messages. Forensic investigators recovered those communications, which prosecutors described as eye-opening evidence of intent and cover-up. In a powerful press conference, Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray emphasized that this case strikes at the core of American values — the right to free speech and public discourse without fear of being murdered for one's beliefs. Comparing the assassination of Kirk to historic political violence, he warned of the chilling effect on democracy if such acts go unchecked. With a preliminary hearing scheduled, the government will now begin laying out its case in court, step by step, against Robinson. From Mangione's federal death penalty exposure to Robinson's calculated public attack, these true crime cases highlight the dangerous intersection of ideology, violence, and justice. Both cases will continue to dominate national headlines as courts determine the fate of two accused killers. #TrueCrime #CharlieKirk #TylerRobinson #LuigiMangione #BreakingNews #MurderTrial #DeathPenalty #FederalCase #JusticeSystem #CrimeNews Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Bongani Bingwa speaks to Khabazela as he dives into the lighter—and sometimes outrageous, moments lighting up social media this week. First up, a heartwarming clip of a Gogo passionately loving John Cena has gone viral, prompting reflection on the recent passing of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, and raising the timeless debate: Who is the ultimate wrestler of all time, and why? Then, in a more relatable moment, a trending post asks: Why do we all stare at the bill like it’s going to change? Khabazela and Bongani discuss bill shock, laugh over shared experiences, and ask listeners: What’s the most you’ve ever been overcharged without noticing? It’s a moment of levity that reminds us social media can both entertain and unite through the everyday absurd. 702 Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa is broadcast on 702, a Johannesburg based talk radio station. Wellington Water's boss says local councils have every right to be angry at them. Tory Whanau yesterday described her council's relationship with the organisation as “tense” at a special meeting, following revelations last week it wasn't getting value for ratepayers' money. Wellington Water CEO Pat Dougherty told Mike Hosking he and his staff are doing everything they can to find the issues and fix them. He says there's been a culture of putting too much trust in their contractors, and he wants a more tense and accountable relationship. The Upper Hutt Mayor says it was obvious the region's water agency was ripping off ratepayers for a long time. Report findings show a lack of oversight meant Wellington Water was paying nearly three times more to contractors for pipe work, compared with in other areas. Board Chair Nick Leggett says it means millions of ratepayer dollars wasted. Upper Hutt Mayor Wayne Guppy says Leggett must resign. He told Mike Hosking his council smelt a rat for years, but their concerns fell on deaf ears. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Louisiana Public Service Commission and the New Orleans City Council argue Entergy, the region's power company, owes $550 million in refunds to customers on top of the more $100 million it's already agreed to pay. These refunds stem from a long-running lawsuit that accuses Entergy of mismanaging the Grand Gulf nuclear plant in Mississippi. Davante Lewis, public service commissioner for Louisiana's third district, tells us why he believes Entergy is on the hook for reimbursement and why it's important to foster competition in the state's energy market. Primary elections are just around the corner and we're continuing to re-air our conversations with candidates running for governor. A few students at Northwest Rankin High School have been arrested and charged with felonies after a video circulated on social media of a guy playing with an air-soft toy gun at his vehicle the day prior. Need surgery but your $7,000 deductible is in the way? How about major dental care that your insurance doesn't even begin to adequately cover? The skyrocketing cost of treatment and rising insurance premiums are driving some Americans to seek affordable health care abroad. While the COVID pandemic slowed international travel, in 2019 nearly 2 million Americans sought health care abroad, a number that is projected to grow. Many medical tourists get high quality, affordable health care abroad. However, some have problems. It's essential to thoroughly research the risks and benefits before pursuing medical care in another country. That being said, how much could you save? And what's the experience like? To find out, we spoke to Michael Djavahery, a Los Angeles-based life coach, trainer, speaker, author, and master hypnotist. In this episode Michael shares his experiences, including how much money he saved, traveling to the Philippines and Malaysia, to be treated by highly-qualified, internationally accredited doctors and dentists. If the U.S. had Improved Medicare for All, would that have influenced Michael's decisions? Check out the Transcript and Show Notes for more!
