Scottie Scheffler finally got his first win of the season, and boy, was it an impressive one in his own backyard at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson.The LPGA was in Utah for the Black Desert Championship, an incredible backdrop for Haeren Ryu to claim her third victory on tour.The PGA Professional Championship this past week gave some for he game's best instructors and club pros the chance to play for a spot at the PGA Championship, and Alex was there to chat with some of the game's best as they punched their ticket. Alex was able to catch up with pros Ryan Lenahan, Rupe Taylor, and Bob Sowards after they had completed their final rounds.The PGA TOUR heads to the Truist Championship, moved away from Quail Hallow (which will host the PGA Championship next week). Andy is still being popped by the pub life in Scotland but recovered enough to join Brendan for a Wednesday morning recording to celebrate the PGA Tour's yearly stop at TPC Craig Ranch. This episode begins with a much-needed Blockie Minute ahead of the fourth and final round of the PGA Professional Championship. Mr. Block, the first round leader, has slipped down the leaderboard and needs a strong finish to qualify for Quail Hollow. Andy is still blacked out from Blockie content overseas and is wondering why the legend of Blockie is not growing internationally. The CJ Cup Byron Nelson begins on Thursday with a field full of Dallas residents and former champions of the event. Brendan sees this event as part of the Tour's venue problem, playing at an uninspiring course that should be soft after some rain this week. In Craig Ranch news, Lanny Wadkins is set to lead the renovation ahead of next year's tournament and is out and about doing press to discuss the project. After a week off for the Zurich, one-and-done picks return as this gambling podcast looks to get back on the right foot. Elsewhere on the schedule, the Champs Tour is also in Texas for the Insperity Invitational, and the LPGA will follow up its first major with a trip to Utah for the Black Desert Championship. Next, PJ shows off his new big letter hat from a trip to TPC River Highlands and Andy proposes a business idea for him to look into ahead of the Ryder Cup this fall. He was named Midwest Coach of the Year by the Golf Coaches Association five times.  In 2013 Mike was inducted into the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame. He has won the PGA Professional Championship three times. And that meant Alex got to ask questions of Jon Rahm, Ludwig Aberg, Brooks Koepka, and Scottie Scheffler. Alex and Michael look back on the week for Scottie, the disappointment for Rory, and the big win for Xander over Bryson DeChambeau (1:49).The PGA Championship includes 21 club professionals who qualified at the PGA Professional Championship, and Alex chats with the 2022 champion of that tournament, Jesse Mueller, from Valhalla as he prepared for his fourth Major Championship (26:30).Known as Barstool Trent or Luggage Guy Trent, Trent Ryan chats with Alex from behind the 10th hole at Valhalla and shares one of the best 19th hole answers Michael has ever heard (26:30).The LPGA was at Liberty National for the Mizuho Americas Open, where illness struck early in the week, and Nelly Korda struck at the end with her 6th win in 7 starts (29:48).The PGA Tour heads to Colonial for the Charles Schwab Challenge, and Alex thinks locals like Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Speith will look to make a splash (33:!4).Michael was all-in on Caitlin Clarks WNBA debut this week as the new season got off to a hot start, but not for her Indiana Fever, who continued have poor outings against some of the league's best teams (34:20).Alex was Tuned In to the series finale of "Young Sheldon" that included a lot of emotion and some finale cameos from "The Big Bang Theory" (37:04).The NHL Playoffs roll on, now without the guy's Boston Bruins who let us down again in May. There are 21 PGA of America Professionals from clubs in states across the country playing in the tournament. The Corebridge Financial Team includes Ben Polland, Director of Golf at Shooting Star in Jackson Hole, Wyo., — the winner of the 2024 PGA Professional Championship — and Michael Block, PGA Golf Professional at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, Calif. Block was one of the biggest stories in golf last year when he finished tied for 15th place at the 2023 PGA Championship. Rob and Phil also talked about a special career-exploration event called PGA WORKS Beyond the Green that took place near the 17th hole at Valhalla Golf Club. At this program, students had the chance to hear industry leaders discuss the wide range of employment opportunities available within the game of golf. In addition, Phil and Rob highlighted the completion of a $10 million renovation project at The Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, Calif.
