This weekend may be for the last time when Preakness 2025 is run at old Pimlico. It is the site for this week's Ron Flatter Racing Pod. Michael McCarthy, the trainer of Journalism, discusses the timeline since his colt finished second in the Kentucky Derby and how he looks at being the favorite for the Preakness. Trainer Jamie Osborne talks about the reasons he decided not to bring Heart of Honor from across the Atlantic to race in the Derby and why he chose the Preakness for this colt and his daughter Saffie to ride in the U.S. From 1/ST Racing, the outgoing managers of the Preakness, TV host and analyst Ron Nicoletti and executive vice president Mike Rogers discuss not only Saturday's classic but also the transition of the Preakness and the rest of the state's racing to the new Maryland Jockey Club. Paddock Prince handicapper David Levitch offers analysis of both the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan on Friday and the Preakness on Saturday, even offering advice based on the weather whether it is rain or shine. Co-host John Cherwa from the Los Angeles Times discusses the big fine incurred by jockey Júnior Alvarado for overuse of the riding crop on Sovereignty to win the Kentucky Derby. They also look at listener and reader feedback about the idea to expand the Triple Crown by one week. The Ron Flatter Racing Pod via Horse Racing Nation is available via free subscription from Apple, Firefox, iHeart and Spotify as well as HorseRacingNation.com.

HRRN's Trainer Talk presented by Fasig-Tipton featuring trainers Saffie Joseph Jr. in the first half, and Whit Beckman in the second.
Angela presents a bitesize biohack from the past featuring Roxanne Saffie, in which they discuss the importance of creating a future self and cultivating a strong self-image and identity. They provide three powerful questions that listeners can journal off to anchor themselves in their desired identity, emphasising the importance of clarity and making choices in alignment with one's values. TAKEAWAYS One of the first steps in creating a future self-image and identity is to identify your core values. This requires being honest with yourself and assessing whether your behaviours align with those values. Another important question to ask yourself is what you truly want. It's essential not to limit yourself and to approach this question without judgment. Understanding your core desires can help guide your decisions and actions. A key question to ask is how you are willing to show up every day to create the life you truly want to experience. This involves determining what you are willing to say yes to and what you are willing to say no to. Saying no is often more important than saying yes. It's easy to be overwhelmed by numerous opportunities and obligations, but filtering decisions through your core values can help you make clear choices. BEST MOMENTS "There are no shoulds that live in the heart. The heart doesn't mess around. It's a sharp yes or a sharp no." "Get into the relationship with your heart because the volume goes up and then that sharp yes and that sharp no becomes easier to operate from." "Your heart is the truth. The more you listen to your heart, the more you are getting dialled into your authentic self." "Saying no is so much more important than saying yes, because we're offered so many things all the time." Wanna know how to trust yourself more and create from a much deeper place within you? In this 2-part series, I sat down with Roxanne Saffaie (Writer, Entrepreneur, Speaker & Coach) as she interviewed me for her Black Belt Beauty Radio Podcast and we go all in on getting great at letting go, relying on self-trust to find abundance, the ease that comes from consistency and how it develops trust with others, discerning fear vs intuition when making decisions, how following your heart isn't always the path of least resistance but is the most rewarding, investing in the goal of you and the totality of who you are (internal & external), and much more. In this 2-part series, I sat down with Roxanne Saffaie (Writer, Entrepreneur, Speaker & Coach) as she interviewed me for her Black Belt Beauty Radio Podcast and we go all in on connecting the dots of different niches and how your character plays a massive role in any/all of them, how to operate all facets of life with integrity, differentiating between the heart and the ego, building awareness around the phrase “my truth”, transitioning between seasons of life by releasing the need to control or attach to previous identities, using SELF-awareness as a tool for change, not SELF-destruction, overcoming limitations on abundance and viewing a fuller perspective of it, and much more. Welcome to our amazing new Three Things Podcast with wonderful special guest Saffie Ng, top Hong Kong yoga instructor, model, nutrition coach and fitness trainer. www.instagram.com/saffiesaffie/. “Step right into your fear” is her philosophy and she lives her life around two questions: how to find happiness and what is her purpose? Describing her life as a roller-coaster of ups and downs, Saffie grew up as the youngest child in a traditional family bringing out a lifelong competitive streak. Developing an early love for extreme sports such as ice-climbing and rock-climbing, she had a catastrophic motorbike accident in a remote part of Indonesia in 2013. Defining her recovery as the longest, darkest time in her life, she felt trapped in her “mental cave” with suicidal thoughts, losing herself in the process. In our talk, Saffie shares how she prevailed after her severe injuries, after initially not being able to even look at her reflection and removing all the mirrors in her house. She will talk about how she rebuilt and recharged her life, both physically and mentally, and tell us how she found a new happiness today by turning everything around in her life. She will explain why our yesterdays should not shape our tomorrows, how far we can go in life and why fresh starts and new beginnings are always within our reach. Thanks for listening! If you would like more information about Three Things, the team or our guests, please contact us at hello@threethings.asia.

Saffie Joseph Jr. / Trainer, "Math Wizard" winner of 2019 Pennsylvania Derby
It's Pegasus Week at Gulfstream Park and we're excited to welcome in South Florida based trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. to talk about his rise towards the top of the South Florida trainers standings, his backstory, and much more! Then Jason recaps his Beemie Awards show from last Friday night on twitter.
Skin, many of us don't give it much thought, but just like the heart and lungs, skin is an important organ too. In fact, our skin has seven layers of ectodermal tissue and it protects our underlying bones, and muscles, as well as all those important internalorgans. It's kind of a big deal, so maybe that's why the global skincare market is $100 billion dollars and rising. Come along for an interesting discussion on skin and technology, and what the future may bring, and what it already has! Dr. Saffie-Siebert, CEO & Founder of Good Science Beauty, a division of the biotech company, SiSaf, will breakdown how to get results with beauty products. And we'll learn why the method utilized for delivering active ingredients is even more important than the ingredients themselves. This is why technology plays a critical role in the success of active ingredient beauty products. Unlike regular application techniques, Good Science Beauty products can actually decrease toxicity as active ingredients are control-released and specific areas can be targeted. Dr. Saffie-Siebert's tech company delivers a handful of specialized, technology-backed, patented cosmetic products. She'll discuss silicon-based drug delivery built on elemental silicon, lipid, and amino acids that she and her team refer to as ‘good silicon plus.' The technology-based application process is able to provide more successful results with similar base ingredients such assalicylic acid, etc. by delivering the active ingredients without drying out the skin, without compromising the skin. Thus, products can target blemishes without the negative residual effects produced by traditional cosmetic products. Dr. Saffie-Siebertwill also introduce a topic that might comes as a surprise to many—that sometimes ‘organic' and ‘natural' products are not as safe as synthetics. We'll gain insight into future developments in the application of hyaluronic acid for hydration, sunscreens for protection, as well compounds for skin brightening and rejuvenation. And the CEO scientist will discuss developing technology that may solve past problems of stability, solubility, and molecular size and thus open the door to impressive new products in the skincare industry.
