Building relationships with mentors and advocates can significantly impact career growth. It's important to have a voice and advocate for oneself in a corporate environment. Many individuals, especially women, struggle with imposter syndrome. To combat this, it's essential to focus on self-validation, seek help from mentors, and recognise that no subject is too complex to learn about. Failure is a part of growth. It's important to analyse what went wrong, learn from mistakes, and avoid repeating them. Recognising what is within one's control can help in managing setbacks effectively. Protecting personal time and mental space is vital for maintaining well-being and effectiveness as a leader. Establishing clear boundaries with both oneself and the team fosters a healthier work environment. BEST MOMENTS "Brave for me is doing exactly what I said before. It is asking for what you want. Like the effervescent bubbles in her sparkling wine, Emily Heintz believes that true quality always rises to the top. Emily is the visionary behind Sèchey, a dynamic platform that includes a luxury dealcoholized wine brand, a dry bottle shop in South Carolina, and a thriving DTC business offering a wide range of alcohol analogs. Sèchey also curated Target's non-alcoholic adult beverage set, bringing elevated options to the mass retailer's shelves. Sèchey's strategic direction and impressive momentum caught the attention of InvestBev, a private equity firm specializing in adult beverages. In August, InvestBev made an undisclosed investment in the company, with founder Brian Rosen praising Sèchey for having “gotten farther with less than anyone else we've seen.” In this episode, Emily joins us for a dive deep into her vision for Sèchey and the journey of building the brand. Framed around a series of true or false questions, Emily discusses the key factors driving the growth of the non-alcoholic beverage category, how Gen Z and Millennial lifestyles are shaping awareness and trial, and why she believes the founder's voice is the most essential tool in connecting with customers. Show notes: 0:25: Emily Heintz, Founder & CEO, Sèchey – Emily and Ray sample some of Sèchey's sparkling wine, before she discusses her inspiration to start the company, whether her lack of experience in beverages impacted the company early on and why NA wine has the biggest upside among alcohol analogs. She also talks about what's driving traffic in Sèchey's retail store, whether category growth is directly tied to negative health effects of alcohol, and the gap between millennials and Gen Z consumers' perception of wine. Emily also highlights Sèchey's partnership with Target, her perspective that the future of NA beverages isn't in liquor stores, why she's only somewhat concerned about lower quality options in the space, and why she believes that the first adult beverage for younger generations should be a non-alcoholic one. Brands in this episode: Sèchey, Athletic Brewing, Ghia, Kin Euphoric, Tost, Blind Tiger, Ritual Zero

Some people are blessed with wonderful talents. Others are given great wealth. Because of those gifts, these people receive a tremendous amount of honor in their lives. Wherever they go, they are the center of attention. And the people who are not blessed with those same gifts may feel a little shortchanged, wondering why they never get any recognition. We must never get fooled by the way people perceive things, or according to the way that people honor things. Our measure of value should only depend on the way that Hashem sees things. The Gemara tells us that Rav Yosef, the son of Rav Yehoshua ben Levi, passed away and then came back to life. When he came back, his father asked him what he saw in the upper world. Rav Yosef answered, he saw that the ones who received all the honor down here were not so important up there. And the ones who were considered not so important here, were very important there. Rashi explains, the people who were honored in this world because of their wealth were not getting any of that honor there, while the people who were poor and downtrodden here were getting all the honor there. The Mabit and others explain, Rav Yosef was referring to Torah scholars who receive a tremendous amount of honor in this world, but do not use their full potential. In the next world they are going to be low, while people who push themselves to their limits in Torah, who may not have achieved success in their studies, are going to be on top in the next world. There are people who are blessed with very sharp minds or photographic memories. Because of those gifts, with a regular amount of learning, they are able to acquire a wealth of knowledge and because of it, they receive a great deal of honor. Hashem does not reward people for what He gives them. He rewards them for the efforts that they make. Another person who learns day and night, but has a hard time understanding or retaining his Torah will most likely get no honor in this world. In fact, he may even be shamed. But because he tries his hardest, he is going to be from those who are honored for all eternity. In this world, we are unable to recognize true value. We give honor based on results. In the World to Come, however, honor is given to those who worked hardest in Torah mitzvot. You could have a rabbi who people go to for blessings, who is always given the honor of being mesader kiddushin at every wedding he attends. He is called HaGaon Ha'adir HaGadol. Yet, there could be someone else who nobody knows about, who struggles day-in and day-out, trying to figure out simple peshat in the Gemara. But he works harder than the first rabbi. In Olam Ha-Ba, he's going to be on a higher level. Of course, if the first rabbi who was gifted works hard to fulfill his potential, he is going to receive honor in both worlds. Moshe Rabbenu was born with tremendous gifts, but he still worked extremely hard to fulfill his potential, and that is how he became the great eved Hashem that Hashem described him as. A man who decided to retire at an advanced age wanted to spend his days learning Torah. He began learning every single day, but after six months, only managed to finish one page of Gemara. He went to the Chafetz Chaim in a bitter state, asking the rabbi if he should bother continuing to learn with such little progress. The Chafetz Chaim said to him, “You learned a hundred pages in six months, and you're asking me if you should continue?” The man said, "No, rabbi, just one page." The Chafetz Chaim then opened the Avot de-Rabbi Natan, which says that one time with difficulty is better than a hundred times without difficulty. This does not only apply to a person's level of intellect. If someone struggles in parnasa, or in raising children, or in health, yet he pushes himself to do his best in Torah, he is going to be from the most important ones in the next world. This world is short. That world is forever. Hashem is the fairest judge. Everybody has equal opportunity to become great. As long as we put in the effort, we will rise to the top.

This dynamic duo has been working together for several years, and the proof of their combined powers is unmistakable. Her Patreon has grown into a massive following and become a powerhouse business of its own. In 2023, Libby launched her own Patreon to share best practices for brand management and how to slay at social media, stepping out into her own light as an influencer! But while the social media influencer version of Erika is what you may see, behind that persona is a tremendous amount of hard work and hustle. She's the co-owner of award-winning Potomac, MD based medspa Moksha Aesthetics with another well-respected trainer & KOL, Hania Khorshidi. Recently, Libby finally turned over the reins to the Moksha brand to someone else, freeing up more time to focus on Erika's many endeavors! In addition to Patreon and Moksha, Erika co-founded Aesthetic Intel with her longtime mentor and friend, Waseem Garbia, PA-C, another big name in the Aesthetic industry. Who hasn't heard of the Injector's Club consultation pads? This invaluable resource was the jumping off point for Erika and fellow industry veteran, injector and KOL, Shakira Cabrera, MPAS, PA-C, to start the Injector's Club. Their joint venture not only supplies helpful tools like consultation pads and anatomy boards, but they frequently train on business building & injecting. No surprise, Libby is behind the curtain of both of these companies, masterminding a social media and brand strategy that has resulted in national recognition in a very short time. When Erika's not involved in one of her businesses, she can be found touring all over the country speaking on behalf of companies taking the stage at conferences, advising manufacturers on product plans, and doing hands-on training. Libby is her constant sounding board and confident, and together they have a unique balance of tough love and unwavering support that is the epitome of straightening another woman's crown. As Erika's star grows, Libby's role has shifted to a talent manager- making sure Erika's contracts, projects, compensation and schedule are the right fit for her brand and her role as a wife and a mom.
