Today on the show Steven and Shaun discuss the breaking news that popular website AppleVis has been saved from closure thanks to Be My Eyes.In a statement issued to Double Tap, the company explains their decision to assist in keeping the site for blind Apple users open, and how they intend to help grow the service with the assistance of the blind and low vision community. You can hear the full statement on air read by Laura. Also, Steven questions the desire for more blind people to run major blindness organizations, suggesting that we should focus on the best person for the job and not just employ someone for their blindness. In this episode of Double Tap, hosts Steven Scott and Shaun Preece cover a variety of topics, starting with an update on Seleste glasses and big news for YouTube users of third-party apps. The discussion begins with Seleste Glasses, focusing on the company's decision to drop the Wi-Fi component in their next iteration for better battery life and a slimmer design, leading to the dropping of real-time video. However, an email from the CEO of Seleste sent to Double Tap clarifies that real-time video streaming might still be possible through Bluetooth, similar to Meta Ray bands streaming to Instagram. The conversation explores the technical challenges of streaming clear, uninterrupted video feeds wirelessly, which is crucial for applications like Aira. Next, the hosts discuss YouTube's enforcement of third-party apps that block ads, highlighting the importance of advertisements in supporting creators and the platform. They express concerns about apps like Accessible YouTube Downloader Pro, which bypass ads, potentially violating YouTube's terms of service. The discussion emphasizes the need for these apps to comply with YouTube's policies to ensure creators are compensated for their work. Listener emails add further debate to the episode, covering topics from the importance of learning Braille and touch typing to personal experiences with self-consciousness due to physical appearance. A listener correction about the first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant's location sparks a light-hearted moment.

So excited to be in the LIVE studio with my cousin Zee on to share about how he overcame addiction and God launched him into full-time music and pastoral ministry. SHOW NOTES Zachariah Radcliffe, also known as Zee, is a 24-year-old minister who was born and raised in San Jose, California. Zee grew up in the city-shaking church of Victory Outreach San Jose, and at the age of 9, his parents became directors of the church's Women's Recovery Home. Zee had a front-row seat in watching broken lives be healed and transformed by the power of God. At the age of 15, Zee found himself battling a drug addiction that began in his freshman year of high school. Zee knew he had to decide to either answer the call of God, or let his drug addiction take over. Zee chose to leave everything He'd known to move to Manteca, California in hopes of a fresh start. He moved in with his Uncle and Aunt; Ben and Valerie Lucero. Zee was radically transformed in the midst of a tremendous revival called "The Awakening". After giving his life to the Lord Zee started to write songs and minister through music at different churches and outreaches. At 17 years old, Zee released his debut album called "Platinum". Zee had been a member of Christian Worship Center church from the time he first moved to Manteca, but in 2015 he enrolled at "Christian Worship Center Academy" bible college to grow in God's word. Zee then graduated in 2018 with a bachelors degree in theology and was ordained as a Pastor under Bishop Steve Perea. Zee is married to his first love Seleste Radcliffe who shares the same passion to do God's will. Together, they have two beautiful daughters named Winter Psalm Radcliffe and Summer Adeline Radcliffe. Zee and Seleste continue to preach the gospel and minister through music all across the world. Zee has now published three albums ( Platinum - 2014, Death of the Giants - 2016, Joseph Dreams - 2018 ) Zee and Seleste's mission is to see souls saved and lives transformed through music and the word of God. This episode we do have just one special guest but TWO :) Dey, a mother to Adam who has Autism and Seleste, a mother to Genesis who has a dual diagnosis of Autism and Down Syndrome. Us three moms collaborate on what our diagnosis' mean, how we maneuver through the struggles and triumphs in motherhood, and share our personal experiences of being super moms to our babies, and we learn something more about one another's special child. It's so wonderful to be able to share World Down Syndrome Day with the Autistic community. Because at the end of the day, no matter what diagnosis (or no diagnosis) we are all moms just trying to do our best and we can't be our best without this kind of support, right? (This episode is dedicated to Everett Molino (15) who passed 3/15/23. Everett has Autism & we want to sincerely send our condolences to his family during this tragic time.

WAIT, you haven’t even finished it?Steve in OH made a bet with Matt and claims to have paid up. However, Matt has no idea what you are talking about.Don in CA is grieving the loss of his son and is struggling with the lack of resources for atheists. Religions have a privileged position in society but they often provide false comfort in platitudes like “God needs another angel”. That minimizes the one and only life we know we have. Check out secular therapy project and grief beyond belief.John in CA asks about the fairness of trans women fighting in ciswomen’s events, like MMA. People say trans women just dominate cis women in sport but we don’t have this epidemic that is represented in media. There are a lot of performance factors, weight class, divisions, etc. It is fair that trans women compete in sports.Seleste in FL argues that the fabric of reality is made out of a crystal that has memory and emotions. Something smaller than an atom is not a crystal and rainbows don't come from crystals. Now water is made of crystals? Atoms and quarks are made of crystals too?? Holy crap.Buzz in WA thinks Matt was wrong in saying nothing exists out of time, arguing that photons exist out of time. Photons move at the speed of light, that denotes time. What difference does this make? Try calling a physics show.Arnie in WA is an ex-mormon and asks if he is guilty of the no true scotsman fallacy when he gets upset that other “mormon” callers say they believe in hell. You can define what is a mormon but the fallacy is excluding someone from that label based on unrelated things. For example, no true Mormon lives in Canada or no real christian murders people.Lastly, Scott in Mexico asks how to tell the difference if someone is mistaken or lying when they tell me they are a trans person. It’s akin to sexual preference or left handedness in that we can’t just outright tell if someone is lying. Most people don’t lie about these things but its’ pretty uncommon. We haven’t had examples of people lying about their gender identity in top level sports. That’s all for this week. Check out more from Katy at youtube.com/c/KatyMontgomerie Stay safe, get vaccinated, continue to wear masks, and we’ll see ya next week!

CSO Insight Study Results are Troubling – Has the Canary Died Yet? Seleste Lunsford, Chief Research Officer of CSO Insights discusses the startling results of their latest World-Class Sales Performance Study: All that Glitters is Not Gold, with Funnel Radio host Jim Obermayer. Lunsford talks about how the respondents in the study reported increases in quota attainment and revenue last year, however, key metrics show a decrease in adherence to sales best practices from previous studies. The authors of the study state that there is possibly a misleading nature of sales effectiveness metrics collected from the nearly 1,000 sales organizations. Is this a canary in the coal mine scenario? The survey shows that world-class sales organizations have systems driving performance that smaller organizations lack. Why is the report so important this year? What was the triggering event that prompted the study? Is this study generally only about companies with large ticket products and services? What are the most startling results? What are the sales effectiveness metrics that alarmed you? Does the study tell the reader what to do about the failures? Subscribe to Modern Marketing Engine Apple Podcasts |Stitcher |Google Play | Google Podcasts Great content marketing is about more than just publishing content. Your content has got to stand out - it's got to be truly great. On this episode of the Modern Marketing Engine, Bernie hosts Stephanie Stahl, the General Manager of the Content Marketing Institute. She says that the companies that do content marketing really well are those that are providing the best content, content that is aimed at connecting with audiences emotionally about things that really matter to them. Listen to this episode to learn how brands are doing great content marketing, why webinars are still very effective, what isn’t working for content marketing, and why having a clear picture of your audience's content consumption preferences is one of the most important things to understand. As GM of the Content Marketing Institute, Stephanie brings a wealth of experience to this topic, so be sure you listen! How Does Great Content Marketing Work Differently For B2C and B2B? Content marketing has evolved over the years and has traditionally required differing approaches for B2C and B2B. Today, both require a similar philosophical approach because both are aimed at attracting an engaged and loyal audience - and in both cases, the challenge is that there is so much content out there, it’s hard to create truly great content that overcomes the noise. The answer is to create truly great content all the time. Consistency is key. Brands that are doing successful content marketing are showing their personality, speaking directly to their target audience as people, and appealing to the human desire to see the greater good served. Listen to Stephanie’s description of great content marketing and use it as a benchmark for assessing your own content marketing strategy. Are you building the trust you need to build? Are you speaking to your customer avatar in the right way and using the right methods? Webinars Are Still A Winner For B2B Content Marketing Webinars have long been a mainstay as an effective tool for great content marketing. Stephanie says they are still working extremely well for many brands, though the format and approach have changed in many ways over the years. Webinars are a great way for prospective customers to spend an hour taking a deep dive into an important topic to learn something valuable that makes a connection to the brand delivering the webinar. Research shows this to be true, as does Stephanie’s experience. In her gut, she knows that webinars are still very powerful for content marketing. Is your organization conducting webinars? Why or why not? Does Your Content Marketing Include A Variety Of Types Of Content? Content marketing isn’t just about getting attention - it’s about earning trust and credibility with your audience. That means you need to learn the formats and channels that best suit your audience. How are you going to do that? You need to explore all the channels of content that your audience uses. We refer to this as the “Omnichannel approach.” In most cases, your ideal audience will not be focused on only one form of content. Publish many types of content and then assess what is most effective in reaching and engaging your audience. Stephanie points out that content marketers must study what’s effective with their particular audience. Are the channels you’re using the best ones for your audience? Is what you’re publishing resonating with your audience? It’s the only way to ensure you’re spending your time in the most productive content creating practices. You'll also hear about the Content Marketing Institute’s annual event - Content Marketing World coming up in September and how you can get a $100 discount to attend this year's event. Bernie is speaking yet again at CMW. This year he is partnering with Seleste Lunsford, Chief Research Officer at CSO Insights, the research division of Miller Heiman Group.
