Welcome, welcome friend. Today I want to talk to you about email list building; specifically the importance of it and how it impacts your business growth. Now, if you’re anything like I was in the beginning stages of when the She Did It Her Way podcast first launched in 2015, I heard of list building but didn’t quite fully buy into it. I actually thought, “I can build a business without an email list” and honestly, that was me trying to opt-out of trying to figure out “how do I even get started?”So if you don’t have an email list yet or you’re just starting out, this episode (and the next two episodes to come) will be super helpful on your journey of list building. First, let’s talk about what is an email list and why is it important to your business…Your email list is your direct contact with your audience. It is how you can interact, engage, serve up value to them. This is how you intentionally nurture them. You nurture your email list the exact way you may nurture a child, you take care of them and continue to provide them with resources and value. Building an email list is crucial because it is the best way to build a relationship with your audience so you can build the ‘know, like and trust’ factor, which is important when you go to offer them something, whether it is your offer or an affiliate partnership. The more subscribers, the more people on your list, specifically the right people on your list, the more your business can grow. The reason why I say “the right people” is because you can have a list of 300 subscribers that are your ideal client and those that you can help, it could essentially perform better than someone who has a list of 1,000 subscribers but aren’t your ideal customer or someone that you want to work with. This is key because it can be easy to assume that just because you have a larger list, it is better but what matters most is having the right people on your list. Email List Building StrategyThere are many ways to build your email list. Ultimately the purpose of building your email list is that you can offer something. For example, if you have a paid blogging course you’ll want to create an opt-in that is related to your paid blogging course. So maybe your opt-in is a free downloadable guide, a webinar, a cheat sheet, a checklist, or a course. Something that correlates with your paid offer.If you don’t have an offer yet, don’t let that stop you from creating opt-ins and building your email list. You can use that time to nurture them, to serve value, and educate them. Expect to create multiple opt-ins to see which one your audience resonates with the most. We’ll talk about the process of creating your freebie in the next episode. How to Get StartedI recommend building your freebie first, before signing up for your email provider. Why? Because building your first freebie doesn’t cost you anything except your time and energy. You can use a free Canva account to create it.Decide an email provider to house your subscribers and communicate with them. There are many service providers out there like Mailchimp, ConvertKit, and Podia. Spend time researching each one before making the decision.When it comes to the tech side of things, carve out 30 minutes every day to spend learning about the platform and using it. This was a major shift for me when I started to build my email list. For so long I procrastinated building my list because in my mind I thought it was this massive undertaking. However, once I started to get familiar with the tech and began spending 30 minutes a day or even a few times a week working inside the platform, I focused more on the time I was spending just being in the tech rather than specific about what I wanted to get out of my time. This Podcast Is Episode Number 0395, And It's About Eight Things Your Construction Invoice Needs To Get Paid Faster Without proper tracking and matching of income and expenses, most construction companies never know if they made a profit until the job is over. Due to your work's nature, as construction contractors provide services on a per-job operation, issuing invoices make it all the more challenging and complicated than it has to be. The good news is that it doesn't have to stay that way.    What should you include on your invoices to get paid faster? Even if you've been running your business for a while, you might be missing other information that you should include. So here is a step-by-step guide on what to include on your invoices.   1. Make your invoice look professional. Add your logo and use professional fonts, styling, and colors that complement your brand. Modern accounting software platforms allow you to set up invoice templates, saving you reinventing the wheel each time.  2. Label your invoice clearly. Make sure that you display the word 'invoice' clearly at the top of the document. If relevant, it may also need the terms "tax invoice." It should also have a unique identification number for your records. You need to have a reference for all your invoices and make sure that there are no duplicates. For the identification number, you can use a sequence that gradually increases and add letters before the number to indicate a specific client. Again, most modern accounting software platforms will do this automatically, but it pays to check you've got it set up correctly.  3. Add company information. Add the details of your construction company and the company or client you're invoicing. This includes: your company's name, address, and contact information your customer's company name and address, including a contact's name to ensure that it reaches the right person (if you're invoicing another company) your customer's name, address, and contact number (if you're invoicing an individual) your registered office address and company registration number (if you're a limited company) 4. Write a clear description of the products or services. The description of the products or services that you're charging for doesn't have to be extended. However, it would help if you made sure that it is detailed enough for your client to know what they're paying for. Aside from the description, you should also indicate the quantity and the price. 5. Add important dates. You should add the date you provided the product or service (supply date) and the date you created the invoice. Add the invoice date at the top of the document together with your name/ company name, address, and contact details. Meanwhile, the supply date could be added together with the description of what services you provided. 6. Add up the costs. Aside from indicating the individual service's cost and the description, you also have to put the total amount that must be paid. If you've agreed to give a discount or there's a special promo, you must also clearly indicate it on the invoice and subtract it from the total. If applicable, you must include the V.A.T. amount on your invoice too. 7. Indicate payment terms. Although you likely have agreed on specific payment terms with the client beforehand, it is still recommended to note the terms on the invoice.  For instance, if you expect to get paid within a certain number of days, you can remind the customer by adding this information to the invoice. Furthermore, you should note how exactly the client makes the payment. Add your bank details or other payment information. 8. Add payment options. Online invoices on modern platforms allow you to include payment options to help you get paid faster. Adding a "Pay Now" button that allows your customers to pay immediately via credit card, debit card, or automated clearinghouses like PayPal and Stripe is proven to speed up the payment process. Want money in your bank quicker? It's a no brainer! Final thoughts There are many accounting and invoicing software platforms and invoice templates out there that you can use. As a reminder, billing your clients depends on your signed contract, and sending invoices is based on this agreement's details. Jessie Czebotar returns to the program to continue to help us understand how the shadowy ruling elite operate. She explains the massive family trust that holds the majority of the world's assets to be used as they determine. She also explains how the trust is funded and how patriots around the world, led by President Trump, have cut off their access to those funds. The Good People have been around a long time. A really long time. Think of a long time, then multiply that by a really long time. You’re getting close. Today we are celebrating one year of the In No Hurry Podcast! What a year it has been. Those of you who have supported this show since its inception, I truly cannot thank you enough! There are worlds and creatures unknown to us, lurking in the deep waters of sea, river and lake. In this episode we explore one of the Good Folk who is known to dwell on both land, and in the dark, deep lakes of Ireland: The Water Horse, also known as the Lake Horse. Many of our Ancestors have witnessed a Water Horse lurking far out in the middle of a lake, often silently watching the activities of nearby Humans or stealthily stalking them. Others still have seen Water Horses graze peacefully on grass bordering the Lake. We share a tale of one such Water Horse who did not appreciate being disturbed by nearby fishermen and angrily chasing them before returning its their watery home. Some particularly courageous/reckless/desperate people have even captured a Water Horse and made use of its immense size and strength to help with manual labour tasks. In a candid video from a 2020 election speech in Pennsylvania, Joe Biden sounded incoherent and couldn't get out one clear sentence before Biden campaign handlers moved in.  Biden wasn't sure what day the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation vote was scheduled and showed once again that even with limited campaign appearances, he can't handle the job.  If Biden can't handle campaigning against President Trump, how can Biden handle the job of actually being president? Halloween: that one night when most anything can happen. President Trump hit a home run in the final presidential debate before Election Day.  The debate held in Nashville, TN and moderated by NBC News' Kristen Welker showcased Trump's grasp of the issues as he laid into Joe Biden over the Hunter Biden email scandal that is exploding with new information and a firsthand witness in Tony Bobulinski.
