Sweety also gives up Mansell's name to Lonnie, instructing him that Mansell must be killed while Sweety himself gets the painting for him. Sweety tricks Mansell into going to the meeting alone, although Sandy (Adelaide Clemens) is revealed to have taken the painting to sell it. In the present day, Carolyn (Aunjanue Ellis) sees an ambulance take Sweety's body away from the destroyed tavern. She and Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) visit a grieving Trennell (Joseph Anthony Byrd), who confesses to having taken Sweety's gun off the jukebox. Raylan then visits Sandy (Adelaide Clemens), who refuses to testify against Mansell (Boyd Holbrook). However, she is shocked when Raylan informs her that they found the gun that Mansell used to kill the Judge, Rose, and Sweety, with Sandy unaware of the latter's death. Sandy decides to visit Skender (Alexander Pobutsky) at the hospital to reconcile, but panics once he calls her "a dead woman." Carolyn arrives home to find Mansell waiting for her. He starts talking about his childhood in Oklahoma, partly about how his mother had sex with many men from the Glenn Pool Oil Reserve. Angry, he waited until a man left and killed his mother. He also points out that his story may be false, suggesting his mother actually died in a tornado. She threatens to back off as her lawyer, but he holds her at gunpoint. The following day, Raylan finds that Downey (Marin Ireland) is actually in Mansell's book, which explains why she allowed him to go. Bryl (Norbert Leo Butz) also admits to Raylan that he has framed criminals due to insufficient evidence, but he also provides him with Mansell's murder weapon. Ahsoka (Season 1, Episode 1 & 2) Out of 10 Beskar Plot Armors Darryl: 5.5/10 Brian: 5.38/10 Episode One Title: "Part One: Master and Apprentice" Directed by: Dave Filoni Written by: Dave Filoni Aired: August 22, 2023 Summary: Baylan Skoll, a former Jedi now working as a mercenary, and his apprentice, Shin Hati, assault a New Republic cruiser carrying Lady Morgan Elsbeth, who had previously been captured by Ahsoka Tano.[a] The pair rescue Lady Elsbeth, who informs Skoll that Ahsoka is searching for Thrawn. Ahsoka and Huyang obtain a star map to the location of Grand Admiral Thrawn and potentially Ezra Bridger before being informed of Lady Elsbeth's escape. Regrouping with the fleet, Ahsoka meets with General Hera Syndulla, whereupon Huyang reveals that the star map is still locked. Syndulla advises Ahsoka to obtain Sabine Wren's help unlocking the map. Just as Wren opens the map, she is confronted by Shin, who steals the map and stabs Wren during a duel. Episode Two Title: "Part Two: Toil and Trouble" Directed by: Steph Green Written by: Dave Filoni Aired: August 22, 2023 Summary: Wren recovers and informs Ahsoka of her findings, and also traces the droids that attacked her to Elsbeth's factories on Corellia. Seeking the star map, Ahsoka and Syndulla travel to the Corellian shipyards in time to see a massive hyperdrive built for Elsbeth's ship to travel to Thrawn's location in a neighboring galaxy—the transport carrying the hyperdrive escapes, but not before Chopper attaches a tracking device. After arresting the shipyard workers as spies for the Empire, Ahsoka is contacted by Wren who is ready to become her Padawan again and find Bridger. I first did this on the episode "Road Map to Madness" where that order kicks in in reverse on the 3rd track, then we had the episodes "the Virus That didn't Leave" for a COVID ep, "the Greatest Team-Ups of All Time" a Team Ups ep, "the Millionaire's Holiday" for a loungy ep, "Search for the Open Gate" had ska songs by non-ska artists, "Back in the Day..." was chock full of '90s Covers, and "the Television Adaption" was all TV them covers! And to top it all off "Dig That Crazy Beat" was a reverse order to the "Road Map to Madness" episode... why did I do this? A joke? A challenge? Who knows. Why did I do it again here? We'll tell you all about it as we look at Showcase Presents Brave and the Bold: Batman Team Ups Volume Two.Welcome to the Classy Comics Podcast where we search for the best comics in the universe. From Boise, Idaho here's your host, Adam Graham.I love a good team up book and DC was kind of the leader in getting those started. They had the original monthly team up between Batman and Superman in World's Finest. In the Silver Age they took Brave and the Bold, what had been a series with a colored past and various formats – more recently a tryout book like Showcase Presents, and the featured team ups between various superheroes. Batman team ups begin to dominate, and then with Issue Seventy-Four it became an exclusive Batman team up book. I am reviewing this using Showcase Presents the Brave and the Bold: Batman Team Ups Volume Two, but there have been some more modern collections from DC called Brave and the Bold: The Bronze Age Omnibus and then just plain Brave and the Bold. Bronze Age, the one that's the Omnibus takes Issue Seventy-Four and goes all the way up to Issue 121, while the Brave and the Bold goes from Seventy-Four to Ninety-One.Now while these stories are set in where many define the Bronze Age to be – they were written in the 1970s and the art reflects a lot of that '70s artistic style, particularly in this collection. You have art by Ross Andru and then Nick Cardy, they fully invested into the 1970s style. However, a lot of the stories have a Silver Age feel to them. At this point the comics were changing – there was more of a focus on being a little more grown up, not talking down to kids; and Marvel had captured the imagination of a lot of older kids by – while still being fairly family friendly by modern standards – also being a bit more grown up. DC is trying to do this, and there's a sense of trying to be a bit more mature, but there's still this underlying layer of goofiness that comes off so often. And it's not like the intentional goofiness of the '60s stories, so there can be some of these that are just a bit awkward. That said, we're going to take a look at the first few issues. I won't cover every single team up. Someone not particularly impressive either as good or bad.Most of these – with one exception…all of these actually are written by Bob Haney – the art is by various people: Nick Cardy is on most of the ones that we cover here. Issue Eighty-Eight was a notable, ‘Count Ten and Die' because it had Wildcat, i.e. Ted Grant, a former boxer meeting up with Batman, and Batman bringing him out of retirement both as a boxer/boxing coach and eventually as Wildcat. And it's a fun adventure that involves Batman and Wildcat having to contend with the Soviet propaganda machine. I enjoyed that one pretty well. IIssue Ninety is another one of those stories which really is not so much a Bronze Age story as it is a Silver Age story with a bronze coat of paint. Adam Strange is the guest character and I love Adam Strange. He is this character who was on earth and hit by a Zeta beam that took him across the galaxy, and he goes to this planet Rann where he is a hero who manages to save the day. And he's continually being shot back and forth between Rann and Earth by the Zeta beam. Anyway, the Zeta beam sends Adam Strange into the future,

BUT WHY?! We don't really answer that, but we sure do ask a lot of questions!
