El técnico de senderos y experto en montaña Xan Ramírez nos invita a descubrir una ruta maravillosa recorriendo la costa del Concello lucense de O Vicedo, un recorrido que combina naturaleza, historia y vistas impresionantes. La ruta comienza en la playa de San Román, un punto accesible y con todos los servicios necesarios, donde se puede aparcar fácilmente para iniciar el recorrido. Desde allí, caminaremos bordeando la costa, en un paseo de aproximadamente 11 kilómetros que nos llevará por playas, miradores y pequeños pueblos costeros, siempre con el mar Cantábrico como espectacular compañero de viaje. Uno de los grandes atractivos de esta ruta es su riqueza histórica. A lo largo del camino, podremos descubrir el yacimiento vikingo de Os Moutillós, un vestigio que demuestra que no solo Catoira tiene huellas vikingas en Galicia. Además, la ruta cuenta con más de 20 paneles interpretativos que nos ayudan a comprender mejor la fauna, flora y patrimonio de la zona. Entre los puntos destacados se encuentra el miradorio de Tixozo, desde donde las vistas abarcan hasta Asturias, y la pintoresca isla de Coelleira, conocida por su antiguo convento y su aura misteriosa. También pasaremos por la playa de Siloi, equipada con barbacoas y mesitas, perfecta para un descanso rodeado de naturaleza. La ruta continúa hasta llegar a la playa de Caolín, una joya escondida de aguas cristalinas y arena fina, ideal para aquellos que buscan un lugar tranquilo y poco concurrido. Finaliza en la zona urbana de O Vicedo, donde se encuentran servicios y establecimientos que permiten disfrutar de una comida tras el paseo. Xan Ramírez destaca que la carretera hasta esta zona ha mejorado mucho, haciendo el acceso sencillo y cómodo, y subraya que la ruta es ideal para quienes buscan una experiencia sin complicaciones, apta para todos los niveles. Además, esta ruta forma parte de las “caminos naturales” del Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, donde se pueden descargar mapas y folletos para planificar la excursión. Con un clima fresco ideal para estos días de verano, esta propuesta invita a descubrir uno de los rincones más bellos y auténticos de la costa lucense, a solo una hora de distancia para quienes estén en las proximidades.
