The process of curating this final entry in the series has been anything but smooth—starting and stopping more times than I'd like to admit. Normally, I prefer to have everything in place and finish a set in one go, but the lack of standout releases made this a real challenge. That's not to say there aren't any gems in this mix. Quite the opposite—through persistence and digging deep across DJ services, Beatport, and even Spotify, I uncovered tracks that truly move me. And if they move me, I know they'll bring my followers to the dancefloor. Party Favorz doesn't stop until the job is done. This set features several updated throwbacks, many of which are making waves on DJ charts, while others may have flown under the radar—until now. As always, Party Favorz is here to bring the best to light. Highlights include: Diplo's rework of Gala's '90s Eurodance anthem "Freed From Desire." David Timothy's fresh take on Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms." Tommy MC's reimagining of Jody Watley's '80s classic "Don't You Want Me." Stuart Ojelay's heavenly spin on Danny Tenaglia's "Music Is the Answer." Stone Van Brooken's faithful update of Faithless' "Insomnia." Block & Crown's transformation of The Fugees' "Ready or Not" into a House anthem. TLC's celebratory House remix of their hit "Creep" for CrazySexyCool's 30th anniversary. Cosmic Dawn's Afro House remix of Everything But the Girl's "Missing." Most of these reworks remain true to the original while modernizing them for today's dancefloors. Exceptions like TLC's "Creep" lean heavily into reinvention, but it works beautifully. The trend of revamping classics continues with notable remakes, such as: Ava Max's rendition of "Forever Young." Ku De Ta's "Dance I Said," sampling Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It." Alesso & John Alto's update of Yes' "Owner of a Lonely Heart." Matt Sassari & Hugel's faithful revival of Sonique's "It Feels So Good," featuring a new vocalist. Jax Jones, Azteck, and Norma Jean Martine's fresh take on the Rihanna riff from Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie." It seems the trend of revamping tracks from yesteryear—be it from parents' record collections or early CD libraries—is here to stay. When done right, these reworks breathe new life into the dancefloor. Clocking in at just over three hours, this set blends fresh, new releases with timeless reworks, making it a strong contender for your end-of-year holiday parties. And the fun doesn't stop here—our Top Dance Songs of the Year set drops in a few weeks,
With four new projects on the horizon after last year's release of Electribe 101's second album after 30 years, it was time to catch up with Billie Ray Martin. Her seminal hit was 'Your Loving Arms', a top ten hit in the UK, a massive club hit worldwide, and a song that remains one of the great dance anthems. Her story reads like a Hollywood movie, full of twists and turns. It even contains the obligatory 'singer looks for band' advert which leads to Electribe 101. But when a second album is rejected the band splits, Billie Ray Martin goes solo, and the album is forgotten for 30 years until it's released last year.In this DEEP DIVE interview with Billie Ray Martin, she talks about her humble working-class beginnings growing up in the Reeperbahn district of Hamburg, moving to Berlin where she gains experience on-stage in bands, and her first impressions of when she first moved to London. There she became a vocalist for S'Express, talks about that now-legendary advert that led to Electribe 101, the missiles that were thrown when supporting Depeche Mode, the moment she knew 'Your Loving Arms' would be a massive success, and the brilliant 'lost' album of Electribe 101 - 'Electribal Soul' that was released last year.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/pop-the-history-makers-with-steve-blame/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Hosted on Acast. This era marked a significant transformation, introducing Classic House Tracks that are still admired today. As we moved into the mid-90s, the interplay between Hip Hop and House Music began to fade, each genre charting its distinct path. However, the era was far from mundane; the budding Trance genre started teasing the mainstream, artists like Opus III and Josh Wink paving the way. Legends like Oakenfold and Rollo & Sister Bliss were creating waves with big room House tracks, setting the stage for their eventual renowned status. Old School House Music during this time was filled with Soulful House legends like MAW, Frankie Knuckles, and David Morales. Commercial House music was flourishing with remixers like Love To Infinity, StoneBridge, Brothers In Rhythm, and Roger Sanchez. Underground sensations like Junior Vasquez, Tony Moran, and Armand Van Helden were crafting Big Room tracks that would soon conquer the club scene. Unveiling this series is akin to opening a musical time capsule, filled with the Best 90s House Remixes that once ruled the dance floors but have since vanished from the collective memory. For instance, the "Beautiful People" mixed by C.J. became a timeless hit for Barbara Tucker. Aretha Franklin's "A Deeper Love," remixed by C + C Music Factory, symbolizes the era's profound emotions. Tracks like the Love To Infinity's Classic Paradise Club Mix of Judy Cheeks' "As Long As You're Good To Me" or the MAW Style Mix of "Everybody Be Somebody" by Ruffneck feat. Yavahn represent the artistic brilliance of the time. Junior Vasquez's Soundfactory Mix of "Your Loving Arms" by Billie Ray Martin captures the innovative spirit of the 90s Club Anthems. The Ultimate 90s House Classics series is not just a collection; it's a heartfelt tribute to an incredible era that shaped today's music landscape. It revives the 90s Club Anthems, like the Junior Vasquez 10.31 Mix of "Keep In Touch (Body To Body)" by Shades Of Love, which once pulsated through speakers around the world. Volume two of the Ultimate 90s House Classics from 1994-1995 is arriving soon. Until then, let these Old School House Music tracks transport you back to a time when dance floors were alive with energy and passion. Until the next time...ENJOY! Starting off with the quintessential Eurodance hit, "Barbie Girl" by Aqua, this compilation will take you back to the time when catchy lyrics and infectious beats were all the rage. Regardless of personal opinions about its merits, there's no denying the impact this track had on the Eurodance scene. Similarly, tracks from Vengaboys, like "We Like To Party" and "Boom Boom Boom," encapsulated the era's sound with their distinct Ibiza beat and memorable hooks, earning their place on both dance and pop charts globally. This collection also includes Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone," a track that perfectly captured the spirit of late 90s heartache against a backdrop of pulsating beats. With its undeniable Eurodance and Techno influences, this track became a comforting anthem for many during times of emotional turmoil. Moving slightly into the realm of Trance, we have the early millennium hit "Toca's Miracle" by Fragma, and N-Trance's genre-bending "Set You Free," blending Drum & Bass, Freestyle, and Trance. Duke's "So In Love," a significant house music staple with Eurodance elements, is also a noteworthy inclusion in this volume. Tracks like Rozalla's "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" and Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms" offer a seamless blend of House and Eurodance, demonstrating the genre's versatility. Abigail's remakes of "Losing My Religion" and "Constant Craving" further illustrate this fusion, combining familiar tunes with a Eurodance and Trance twist for an enticing dancefloor experience. No Eurodance compilation would be complete without Nicki French's dancefloor-filling rendition of Bonnie Tyler's classic "Total Eclipse of the Heart," an exceptional blend of Hi-NRG and Eurodance. Likewise, Livin' Joy's hits "Dreamer" and "Don't Stop Movin'," provide a winning fusion of House and Eurodance. With the third volume of the Ultimate Eurodance Collection, dive into the nostalgic memories of the 90s Eurodance and Techno era, filled with classic tunes that transcended genre boundaries. Stay tuned for the final installment of this journey, and as always... ENJOY! Album : The Ultimate Eurodance Collection vol. 3 Genre : Euro-dance, Hi-NRG, Techno Year : 2020 Total Time : 01:52:30 1. Party Favorz is back with volume 3 of the Ultimate Eurodance Collection, which features the biggest Eurodance tracks of the late 80's through the 90's. It's only in this particular series that a song like "Barbie Girl" by Aqua could be even remotely considered a classic. I've always detested this song, yet here we are. The same could be said for anything Vengaboys because all of their tracks were virtually identical. They utilized the same Ibiza beat that was hot at the time, and maintained few innocuous lyrics, but were catchy as hell. It's this formula that propelled them to the top of the dance charts and many pop charts across the globe. I stuck with "We Like To Party," which went on to be the theme song for Six Flags and "Boom Boom Boom" and left out the annoying "Up and Down." They had several earlier hits but those three are what crossed-over in the North America. Another track that follows the same formula is "Better Off Alone," which actually spoke to me. I was head over heels in love with this guy named Pete at the time. We had a bitter split and when I'd hear that song, it felt like I was a sympathetic character in some John Hughes 80's flick. Some of these songs border on trance with Fragma's "Toca's Miracle" leading the way from the early millennium. N-Trance's massive "Set You Free" was an introduction to Drum & Bass with a bit of Freestyle and Trance thrown in making this song really stand out. Duke's "So In Love" is a massive house music staple with overtones of Eurodance but is nevertheless a personal favorite, thus its inclusion. Rozalla's "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good) and Billy Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms" are a natural fit here even if the latter was naturally house. I've also included the early Abigail classic remakes of "Losing My Religion" and "Constant Craving," which were on a small label imprint but had a massive impact by bridging commercial Trance and Eurodance with familiar songs originally sung by other artists (REM and K.D. Lang). Speaking of which, no set would be complete without the epic Bonnie Tyler classic "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Nicki French who transformed the powerful ballad into a massive floor-filler combining elements of Hi-NRG and Eurodance. Equally, Livin' Joy's "Dreamer" and "Don't Stop Movin'" (the latter featured here) effectively combined house music and Eurodance for crossover appeal from the dancefloor to radio. There's a lot of happy memories to unpack in volume 3 and there shouldn't be anything that you aren't already intimately familiar with. PARTY FAVORZ ANNUAL FUNDRAISER I want to give a MASSIVE shout out to Anthony S., Glenn A., and Raul G. for their much needed donations. Still, that leaves me short $175. Folks, you don't need to donate a massive amount of money to help Party Favorz reach our goal of $500. The recommended amounts when you land on the donation page are just that. There's a box at the end that allows you to enter ANY AMOUNT of your choosing and that you can afford. I realize that not everyone is a walking ATM and definitely appreciate the support I receive from subscriptions but there's just not enough money there for me to cover my annual hosting costs. If all you can afford is $5 — I'll happily accept it. Whatever it takes to help me keep Party Favorz going for at least another year. I promise, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back tomorrow with the 4th and final installment of the Ultimate Eurodance Collection. Until then...ENJOY! It's nothing short of an earth-shattering tribute that dives deep into the prodigious career of this industry titan. Volume 2 is particularly focused on the late '80s through the present day, capturing the essence of Junior Vasquez's meteoric rise during the '90s and early millennium. Two anthems demand your attention. Barbara Tucker's "Love's On Time" starts as a as a spoken word motherly advice backed by a gospel choir before building into a massive, gay anthem, encapsulating the hope that love arrives just when you need it. On the other hand, Jennifer Holliday's "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" is the quintessential gay anthem, combining Holliday's sky-high vocals with a message of defiant resilience—echoing sentiments deeply rooted in the LGBTQ+ community. Junior's mastery transforms these tracks, not merely remixing them, but elevating them into unforgettable experiences. This volume also serves up Junior's unforgettable reimaginings for the incomparable Mary J. Blige and Billie Ray Martin. His version of "Your Child" takes Blige's soulful vocals to new heights, while "Your Loving Arms" completely redefines the original, turning it into a dancefloor anthem that has stood the test of time. Of course, it would be a disservice not to mention his work with the infallible Whitney Houston, an artist who needs no introduction. Both "Greatest Love of All" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" are transformed into uplifiting dance hits that honor the late diva while ensuring that her voice still reigns supreme on the dancefloor. And then we have Kristine W and her track "Feel What You Want," another example of how Junior has the exceptional ability to inject his own DNA into a song while respecting the essence of the original. Let's not forget his self-referential "If Madonna Calls," a track that put him on the outs with the DIVA who eventually sidelined him in favor of other DJs in our legacy series, and Nelly Furtado's "I'm Like A Bird," which Junior turned from a quicklypop song into a massive dance club hit. Finally, Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" receives a Pride-worthy remix from Junior, perfectly capturing the spirit of the original while giving it an injection of pure dance energy. If you haven't caught on yet, Junior Vasquez was the ultimate purveyor of gay anthems to our community and we are forever indedbted to him. In creating this second volume, our intent was to showcase the range and diversity of Junior Vasquez's decades-long career. From working with divas to music legends and under...

Lord, during this time of prayer we lift up to you all of our wounded, hurting, saddened and persecuted bothers and sisters. At the same time Lord protect Your servants gathered in these moments so that we are one in the spirit and unified to push back the darkness and spread the Good News of the Kingdom of God is here! Lord, we ask that You keep us off the radar of the enemy and stop any of his foul deeds or plans to harm us in any way and to try to stop us from fulfilling our Mission. Lord, that the enemy's forces be caught up in total confusion, dis- aray and fall on their own swords of destruction! We rebuke the enemy in the name and authority of Yeshua! Thank You, Lord for putting Your Hedge of protection around us so that the enemy cannot hear or see what You have given us for such a time as this! First, Lord, we intercede for all of our wounded soldiers in Your Army! Lord, with the balm of Gilead we bind up the wounds of those who suffered physically mentally or spiritually from all the evils of sexual perversity and sexual abuse to- ward women and our youth. Especially we pray for our youth, young boys and girls whose innocence and purity have stolen from them. Restore them, Lord and have member of Your Army witness and display true love or a father & mother! Give encouragement and boldness of Faith for those serving the wounded by teaching, instructing and guiding in the ways of the Kingdom of Shalom/Peace. A peace that can only be grasped by allegiance and Faith in the Love You have given us through our Messiah and King, Yeshua, Your Son. Father pour out Your comfort on all those who are mourning the loss of loved ones, especially those who live in and near and see violence, especially in our cities, like Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore and so many other cities, where racial strife, the curse of poverty and lack of family life abound. Comfort those families who have lost a father, mother, children friends, brothers or sisters because of the lawlessness that pervades our communities and cities! Lord protect and give encouragement to those who respond to such tragedy as our law enforcement and firemen and EMTs who respond to the calls for help. Lord put an end to the racial tension and other forms of bigotry and prejudice! Thank You, Lord for the expression of Love through the hug and handshake and other means of communication that bring forth peace and reconciliation by the Presence of the Holy Spirit! Today we are also united with our brothers and sister in Israel as they remember the holocaust of 70 years ago. That the scars of memories of their experience of the evil toward their people be healed and that they know Yeshua, the true Messiah. That we also do not forget we play a role in keeping the world and better and safe place. Lord, we remember all who have fallen through our military and law enforcement in their moments of service. We pray for all those who have been wounded and gave their lives to defend and protect the citizens of this nation. Lord, we are united now to protect and encourage everyone who needs a loving hand to get through their moments of sorrow, grief, and separation from those they love and cherish. Surround them with Your Loving Arms now and into eternity! Lord, we also pray for those who have been wrongly treated by those who are corrupt in our government and its different systems, like the Justice system. We seek Your guidance in how to nourish, and heal all those suffering in this very moment whether it be physically, mentally or spiritually. Lord, give us a heart like Yours to be ever mindful of the needs of others.
Today we're talking about the Peace of God that axes umpire in your heart and guards your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.God gives you his Fruit of Peace. This Peace Comes from Living in Vital Union with Christ Jesus. The LORD Jesus Christ says to you who are weary with heavy burdens, and feeling overwhelmed: Come to Me and I will causeyou to rest in My Presence. I will Ease and Relieve and Refresh your soul. (Matthew 11:28).For the yoke of the world is sin, and its wages are death. (Romans 3:23) but my yoke is Light, for I AM gentle and humble in heart, so you will find relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet for your soul. (Jeremiah 6: 16) For my yoke is love, gracious and full of mercy, comfortable and pleasant is My Peace, making My Burden My burden is light and easy to bear. (Matthew 11:29-30)Jesus Christ tells you: I AM the Prince of Peace, My Peace I leave with you; My Own Peace I have given and bequeath to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Stop allowing yourself to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourself to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled. For I have given you My Own Pace, Do Not Be Afraid or Worried. Your Life is Most Precious in My Site. (John 14:27)You Need My Peace Continue, Every Moment of the Day Just As You Need Me throughout the Day. When Things Are Going Good, There's a Tendency to Forget I AM with you and that you are Totally Dependent on Me. For it is no longer you who lives, but I AM living in you; and the life that you now live you live by faith, My Divine Persuasion. (Galatians 2:20)You are no longer your own, you were bought with A Precious Price, the Blood of Jesus Christ Himself. So even when you are faithless, I AM Faithful to you. (2 Timothy 2:13)I am who stirs you to come boldly to the throne of grace, to receive mercy for your failures and grace for your time of needs. (Hebrews 4:16) I know you need My Peace That Surpasses All Understanding, to guard your heart and mind in this chaotic fallen world. So I graciously give to you my glorious gift of peace, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God. Then you experience personally for yourself God's peace, which transcends all understanding that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)Listen, there is Never a Moment in Your Life you are Not Dependent Upon God. When you Realize it is He Who has Made you and Not you yourself. Your a Lamb in the Pasture of the Good Shepherd Who Laid Down His Life for you.-Ps 23:1-7, Ps 100:3When you are Experiencing Difficult Times in your Life, Make your FIRST Response: LORD, Help me! Tell Him Your Troubles, Listen and Watch for His Answers, Let His Peace Act as Umpire in your Heart and Mind, in All Decisions.-Col 3:15God is Always with you Whether you are Aware of His Presence or Not. You can Call Out to Him at Any Moment and Know He is with you; He Never Leaves you.-Heb 13:5Father, today I just want to thank You for Your Peace that passes all understanding. We live in a world full of stress, anxiety and chaos; so I am thankful that Your Piece Garrisons and Mounts Guard over My Mind and Heart and Gives Me Peace in My Life.Lord, We are dependent upon you, and need Your Peace so That We Do Not Give in to Feelings of Anxiety and worry throughout the Day. I asked that you empower us byYour Spirit in us, to manifest Your Fruit of Peace in and Through us, so we having our minds renewed in Your Peace are able to Trust Completely in You.Father draw us into Your Presence and wrap Your Loving Arms around us, empowering us to Trust You Fully and to Rest in Your Capable Arms.I asked Father that you develop the habit of bringing our concerns and worries about every circumstance and in everything to You, through prayer.I Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, I make my petitions (definite requests), with thanksgiving to You, continuely making my wants known to You. (Philippians 4:6)Be honest with God about how you feel. He already knows all about it. He can handle your anger, complaints and disappointments. He understands you to the fullest. He is aware of your human frailties (Psalms 103:14) then he is touch by the feelings of your infirmities. (Hebrews 4:15)Lord thank you for being my Life and my Salvation; Whom Shall I Fear? You Lord are My strength, of whom shall I be afraid? The Lord, You have said that You would never leave me nor for sake. Therefore, I believe in my heart and I say with my mouth without any doubt or fear that You are my Helper, and My Encourager. For Greater are You in me than he who is in the work.I am delivered from this present evil world. I am seated with you Lord Christ in the heavenly places. I reside in the Kingdom of God's dear Son. The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Galatians 1:4, Ephesians 2:6, Colossians 1:13, Romans 8:2)Thank you, for Your Peace. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Her first big break came with the group Electribe 101 whose Talking With Myself is considered a classic in all its various incarnations. The original version released in 1988 still holds up to this day but got a makeover by none other than Frankie Knuckles in 1990. However, it wasn't until 1998 when a new set of remixes by Canny (one a Trance mix and the other a Chill mix) both won the hearts and minds of club-goers and the electronic music community. By the mid-90s Electribe 101 had broken up while negotiating a new record contract and Billie ultimately went solo and was signed to Sire/Warner in the US. The resulting album was the mesmerizing Deadline For My Memories coupled with Kristine W's Land of the Living (released around the same time in 1996 in the US) held a very special place in my musical heart, even to this day. That album contained many songs that were slated for the second Electribe 101 album including Your Loving Arms, which went on to massive success at radio and in the clubs. It's unclear as to why Billie Ray left Warner records but it may have had something to do with her not being allowed to record in a Memphis studio, a lifelong dream of hers. From there, Billie Ray has controlled her destiny releasing material on her own labels or in collaboration with other artists. Musically, she swings from electronic and house to circuit and deep house. With unmatched vocal skills that are perfectly suited for the Stax influence of artists like Aretha Franklin, you can see just how easily it translates into the aforementioned genres. While the mix I've created in her honor comes nowhere close to her output over the years, it's a good start. This time, we unearth lesser-known tales and unheard vibes from a decade that, much like the collapse of the Soviet Union, marked the end of old orders and the burgeoning of the new. So, without further ado, let's delve into some unforgettable tracks that framed club culture, influenced lifestyle, and are still absolute bangers. Deee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart (Ultimix) Emanating from the artistic hub that was New York City, Deee-Lite's "Groove Is In The Heart" blasted through the airwaves, gaining traction in 1990. While Nelson Mandela was freed that same year, signaling the end of apartheid, "Groove Is In The Heart" became an anthem for personal liberation on dance floors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J22gr56fl4 Livin' Joy - Dreamer (Junior Vasquez Sound Factory Mix) It was 1994, the year the U.S. hosted its first FIFA World Cup, when Livin' Joy dropped "Dreamer," capturing the blissful ignorance and idealism coursing through society. Junior Vasquez's Sound Factory Mix added a touch of urbane sophistication to this naive optimism. Billie Ray Martin - Your Loving Arms (Soundfactory Vocal Mix) "Your Loving Arms" by Billie Ray Martin wove its musical threads into the fabric of 1995. As the Dayton Agreement was being signed, bringing a tenuous peace to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Martin's soulful rendition stood as a testament to the healing power of music, amplified by the Junior Vasquez Soundfactory Vocal Mix. Bizarre Inc. feat. Angie Brown - I'm Gonna Get You (Original Flavour Mix) If there was a single word to describe 1992, it would be 'transformational', from Bill Clinton's electoral victory to the commercial release of the first Nicotine patch. "I'm Gonna Get You" by Bizarre Inc. featuring Angie Brown, invigorated clubs, proving that house could be as politically assertive as it was catchy. Tori Amos - Professional Widow (Armand Van Helden's Star Trunk Mix) Fast forward to 1996, the year that saw the introduction of the DVD format. Armand Van Helden transformed Tori Amos's "Professional Widow" into a garage house phenomenon, highlighting how technology and art could marry into something ground-breaking. Inner City - Good Life (Magic Juan's Mix) In 1988, right at the threshold of the 90s, Inner City released "Good Life." This track embodied the universal desire for happiness and freedom, perfectly encapsulated in Magic Juan's Mix. The song has become a staple in 90s Classic House Music and frequently sampled. https://www.youtube.com/watch?
Moving along to the 4th installment of the BPM Edition 2009 v1, you'll notice that the mix picks up where the 3rd one left off. It starts off with some deep and dark progressive tunes before we jump back into the electro. You might also want to take note of two remakes in this mix. First up is "Send Me An Angel" by Lovematic feat. Sharon May Linn. This is a remake of the 80's classic by Real Life. There are a variety of mixes that accompany this set and one even mimics the original while updating the synth riff for today's floors. While it's not bad, I had a hard time swallowing it given the female voice as opposed to the original male vocals. It's hard to listen to a remake of such a massive classic as this without cringing. Digging into the mixes I finally settled on the Fratty & Burra Club Mix which retains the original melody but uses it in ways never considered before. For that, I applaud their originality and slapped on four stars to show my approval. Then we have a remake of "Your Loving Arms" by Jose Amnesia vs. Karen Overton. Of course the original was done by Billie Ray Martin in the mid-nineties. This song has deep meaning to me and once again I was skeptical. After listening to it, I was completely immersed in the song with its trance-like synths swirling around my head. While nothing will ever match the magic of the original, this sure comes close. As for Billie Ray, I've got a new mix of the very same song that I'll probably drop in on next week's "Winter Edition". I understand she's working on some new material scheduled for release later this year. I also have another 90's classic remake slated for the final volume and will go into detail about that on Friday. I also wanted to mention the Ting Tings latest offering. "Fruit Machine" must be like their gazillionth single from their "We Started Nothing" debut. Jam-packed with all sorts of electro-pop goodness, each song has been remixed to great effect by some of today's hottest producers. I don't just love the remixes, but the album as well. Before all is said and done, we may end up with another batch of mixes for "We Walk". Currently, they are scheduled to write and record a new album in Paris and Berlin. If they can keep this up, they deserve every bit of success that has come their way. Outstanding! You may also be scratching your head and wondering "what is that bleached bottled blond thinking?" Lily Allen's "Fear" was already on take one. Glad you asked. I absolutely adore this song. Wideboys and Stonebridge did a fabulous job of re-creating what was a rather ho-hum pop song and transforming it into something meaningful. Th lyrics alone are worth the price of admission but coupled with these awesome dancefloor interpretations, bring the song to life. While I don't expect this song to become some worldwide dance hit, every once in a while there's a song that just demands attention, and this is one such moment. "I want to be rich and I want lots of money I don't care about clever I don't care about funny I want loads of clothes and fuckloads of diamonds I heard people die while they are trying to find them I'll take my clothes off and it will be shameless 'Cuz everyone knows that's how you get famous I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror I'm on the right track yeah I'm on to a winner I don't know what's right and what's real anymore I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore When do you think it will all become clear? 'Cuz I'm being taken over by The Fear Life's about film stars and less about mothers It's all about fast cars cussing each other But it doesn't matter cause I'm packing plastic and that's what makes my life so fucking fantastic And I am a weapon of massive consumption and its not my fault it's how I'm programmed to function I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror I'm on the right track yeah we're on to a winner I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
