We wrap up our epic 4-day Disneyland adventure with a jam-packed finale full of iconic attractions, creative eats, and unforgettable vibes. We kick things off by blasting into Hyperspace Mountain and conquering the classic Matterhorn Bobsleds before fueling up with a legendary Disneyland breakfast chimichanga from Ship to Shore Marketplace. Our Downtown Disney detour leads to a shopping spree and a wild bite of the viral Pickle Corn Dog at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. Then it's back to Ballast Point for a midday refresh before diving deep into Disneyland's Food & Wine Festival. We break down standout dishes like the sirloin Gruyère mac, musubi fried rice, and spicy shrimp papas locas, plus sweet and savory hits from Peppers Cali-Ente and Golden Dreams. After that, it's off to Lamplight Lounge for drinks, bites, and a much-needed break—including the fan-favorite 2319 mocktail and loaded potato skins. The evening shifts to lounge hopping with stops at Broken Spell and Trader Sam's, where we try tiki cocktails, pork gyoza, and poke bowls. We hop aboard the Disneyland Monorail back to Tomorrowland, soak up the nighttime magic with popcorn, Dapper Dans, and shopping, and then wrap up with a Blue Bayou dinner—complete with crab cakes, filet mignon, and a refreshing mint julep. Before calling it a night, we experience Mickey's Mic Magic, and we hit Radiator Springs Racers, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion, before reflecting on the highlights of our entire Disneyland trip.If you've been following along, don't miss this big finish—and if you haven't, go back and catch Days 1–3 to hear the full magic unfold!MEI-Travel – Expertise. Send us a textWhat happens when the world's most famous mouse couple calls it quits? Aaron and Aaron tackle this hilariously complex hypothetical scenario by dividing up the most valuable asset in this animated divorce: Disneyland itself.Armed with shots of tequila and guided by special guest mediator Eli, the hosts transform into rival attorneys representing Mickey and Minnie in increasingly specific negotiations. Their property division follows an unexpected guiding principle: Mickey embodies "fun and excitement" while Minnie represents "elegance and fashion." This distinction drives their decisions about who deserves what throughout the park. The negotiations get surprisingly heated over dining locations, with Plaza Inn and Blue Bayou becoming particularly contentious properties. When dividing Disneyland's lands, Mickey claims Main Street, Tomorrowland, and Frontierland, while Minnie receives New Orleans Square, Fantasyland, and Adventureland. The castle becomes shared property, with careful stipulations about princess appearances and parade routes.Character custody arrangements follow naturally from their established personas—Mickey keeps his pals Goofy, Donald and Pluto, while Minnie gets Daisy and Clarabelle. The hosts demonstrate impressive Disney knowledge throughout, referencing everything from merchandise trends to restaurant atmospheres with the precision of true park enthusiasts.Join us for this tequila-enhanced thought experiment that reveals how deeply Disney characters have embedded themselves in our cultural imagination, and subscribe to hear more uniquely entertaining Disney discussions! Here's who we are and what is in store for you

Welcome aboard, mateys! We set sail to Disneyland Paris to take a pirate's plunge of Adventureland. Here we experience a unique version of Pirates of the Caribbean, where a very different approach to the narrative has been taken. With it lies not just an amazing gift shop at the exit, but a tropical restaurant that rivals the very popular Blue Bayou. We also maroon ourselves on Adventure Isle, home to the stories of Swiss Family Robinson, Treasure Island, and Peter Pan. We climb treehouses, explore caves, board ships and swing across bridges. All of this is brought to life for you via our Disney Insights Pirates of the Caribbean Interactive Journey, which I'll not only share some backstory on, but share with you how you can have a 7 Day Free Trial. We had the pleasure of interviewing Åsa Orbison over Zoom video!Originally from Stockholm, Sweden Åsa Orbison had a fondness for music at a young age, where she attended music school in Sweden. Into adulthood, she then transitioned into working in marketing, but later came to the realization that music was always something she ultimately gravitated to and wanted to pursue. Åsa decided to make the move to America when she found love with now husband Roy Orbison Jr! She came back to her musical roots when working together with her husband (whom she collaborated with on her new album). As a huge feat, Åsa received a platinum record award for singing backup vocals on her father-in-law, Roy Orbison's ‘Unchained Melodies” in 2019. The “Blue Bayou” album is Åsa's first album and passion project, recorded at Roy Orbison Jr's "Pretty Woman Studio", Nashville A Team member Wayne Moss' “Cinderella Studio” and Jack Clement's “The Cowboy Arms Hotel And Recording Spa”. "Blue Bayou” album is a stunning representation of Åsa's Jazz/Pop soft, breathy singing style with her top singles "Blue Bayou”, ”Green Eyes” “Unchained Melody”, & “Satin Doll”.Åsa resides in Malibu, California with her 4 adorable children and husband Roy Orbison Jr. In her free time, she enjoys music, running, Pilates and hiking. Åsa is also passionate about supporting causes that are close to her heart including, Music Cares, Operation Smile and BabytoBaby. We want to hear from you! Today on Too Opinionated, Åsa Orbison, musician and daughter-in- law of legendary music artist Roy Orbison drops in for a visit. Best known for being on the popular Bravo series Below Deck: Mediterranean Season, the beautiful Swedish siren is excited to launch her new music endeavor! She most recently released her cover of the hit single “Blue Bayou” on June 15, 2024, produced by her husband Roy Orbison Jr (musician, author/publisher/producer) who rearranged the hit song written by his father, Roy Orbison, in 1963 (and famously covered by Linda Ronstadt in 1977). Åsa's immense talent does not go unnoticed, giving Blue Bayou an updated jazzy feel with a Scandinavian touch. Next, you can listen to her new single ‘Love Is Strange'– a duet with her husband with Wayne Moss on guitar (the man behind the legendary riff on Dolly Parton's ‘Jolene' & Roy Orbison's ‘Pretty Woman') – which recently released on Thursday, July 23rd, followed by ‘Baby I'm Yours' on and finally, a full-length album this September. She is thrilled to share her brand-new songs with the world! Åsa received a platinum record award for singing backup vocals on her father-in-law, Roy Orbison's ‘Unchained Melodies” in 2019. Join Erik and Tage this week as they are joined by James and Lynn as they discuss if they are Disney optimists or pessimists, attractions they would like to be evacuated from, attractions they would like to see restaurants attached to, and the former attractions they would bring back. Support the podcast by going to https://www.thehubcrawl.com/support. Question 1: Are you a Disney optimist or pessimist? And what part of that attraction? Question 3: People love immersive dining like Blue Bayou in Disneyland and San Ángel Inn Restaurante in Epcot's Mexico pavilion. What attraction would you like to see a restaurant attached to it? Question 4: If you could have any former attraction return what would it be and why? Bonus Question: What has been your best value meal in/around the parks in your recent memory? This can be sit-down experience, quick service, an armload of churros. Whatever sticks in your head!

Louisiana gives us a little bit of everything:- 'Homefront' is the pinnacle of 90s action who's only problem is that it was made in 2013, 'The Skeleton Key' asks big questions like "Why isn't Kate Hudson ever wearing a bra?" and then "Blue Bayou" plays a game of 'How much bad news can you fit in to one movie'. All this sets up what might be the hardest debate we've had on The USofAMovie Podcast Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Blue Bayou is a fine dining restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. The first of its kind in any Disney park. It sets an atmosphere of dining alfresco in the evening while boats pass through the bayou on their way to seek adventure. San Angel Inn is exactly the same thing but with Mexican food and a decidedly worse attraction. Will San Angel Inn win out because if you get the wrong table in Blue Bayou where you are meant to be dining outside you could see right outside to see sunny southern California? Or will Blue Bayou win because it did it first and it's in a better ride? Listen to find out. Image courtesy of www.disnerland.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ronald Dominique confessed to raping and murdering 23 boys and men between the ages of 16 and 46 between 1997 and 2006 across six Louisiana parishes. When he was caught, investigators were shocked by... how harmless and unintelligent he seemed. How did THIS guy do what he did for so long? In part, he was able to do what he did because he targeted the poorest members of one of the poorest area of the nation. Law enforcement where and when he was killing didn't have much of a budget to dedicate enough resources to finding him, and also, the people he killed weren't people, typically, who kept regular social schedules. Police had a hard time, over and over, figuring out exactly where victims had been right before the died. Ronald was NOT a criminal mastermind. Not be a long stretch. He just figured out a simple con to get guys to tie themselves up so he could do what he wanted to do to them, and he got away with it because those guys typically lived high risk lifestyles in an area full of hard times and few resources. Despite how dark this subject is, I actually find a lot of humor to lighten it up because in addition to being a serial killer, AND an idiot, Ronnie Joe was also a Patti Labelle impersonator, a dude who had some super interesting rationalizations for why he had to do what he did, and a man with, apparently, the tightest, most fragile butthole on the planet.
