In this Podcast: How to continue living this summer confidently How to break up with societal pressures to lose weight How to shift your mindset to take care of yourself in a positive way, and not get caught up in comparison Let's talk about Hot Girl Summer - A lot of things have changed this past year, we've been through a lot, and some people may not be feeling so confident. - I want to help you feel confident in your skin this summer. You don't need to wait until you reach your goal to enjoy your life. - Some of J.Go's clients have said “no” to life because they weren't feeling confident. They've said “no” to vacations, social outings, dating, being in photos. They've been missing out on life, choosing to cover up, hide, and avoid mirrors. - Life is too short for any of it. Life is too short to allow our size to dictate how we live our lives. Take Action + Give Yourself Grace - You have to work at being confident every single day - You need to actively fight for that most confident self. You need to allow, hear, and lift up the highest thoughts about yourself. - Actively call out the inner mean girl that's trying to hold you back and keep you small. - You deserve to put yourself first NOW. And not when you've reached a goal weight. - A lot of people have gained weight, managed their mental health, and undergone so much stress and trauma this year. You got through it all. Be proud of yourself and celebrate yourself for working through that and continuing to grow through hard seasons. When The Judgement Comes... - It's ok to have hard and messy days, they are the in between parts of your journey - Don't put yourself down, openly love and embrace them - When you're not feeling great about yourself try acknowledging those feelings. Write them down and ask, “Is this really true?” and “Does it even matter?” - Pause and focus on body acceptance. How do I feel about myself? What do I love about my body? What do I love about me? - Other people's judgement is really just their reflection. If you want to feel confident in your skin unconditionally, Listen Up: Don't allow other people's projections to affect how you live your life. Who they think you are has nothing to do with who you can become. Don't Wait - Your confidence cannot be tied to your weight. Your weight changes so much, it's inevitable. But you have the power to embrace yourself unconditionally, so when these changes do happen, you're not changing how you feel about yourself and your self worth. - Recognize that your confidence goes beyond the sizes and shapes of where you are in your life. You're allowed to change, but I don't want your self worth to be fully dependent on that size. - You don't have to wait until you're a certain size to do things your most confident self would want. What would she be doing? How would she be talking to herself? What would she be wearing? - Do something small this week that your most confident self would thank you for. Little small changes are what create long-term lifestyle change. They reprogram your brain to stop putting yourself down and lifting yourself up. Challenge: Commit to a #goconfident, and tag J.Go in your Instagram stories this week. First 5 who share will get something special from J.Go. The Go Retreat: J.Go is hosting the Go Retreat, Sept 17-19, a women's Beach Retreat in Charleston. Attendees will leave with a vision of what they want for their life and feeling empowered to accomplish their goals. Do you feel like you need a more supportive environment? That you want to meet more supportive people? Are you feeling a calling to create change in your life but you don't know where to start - you need to be here at this event! www.jgofitlife.com/retreat Share your biggest takeaway from this episode with Jordan @jgofitlife

Gizelle Bryant steps Behind The Rope. The Real Housewives of Potomac, Season Six. How did we get here? Gizelle is here to answer that question and chat about all we can expect this season on RHOP. Gizelle first chats about how this season is different for her than the past five. Then we break down all of her co-stars - her current relationships with and storylines we can expect from Candiace Dillard, Wendy Osefo, Karen Huger, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby plus newcomer Mia Thornton. Gizelle addresses all the on-line chatter about her “always being at the center of the drama” and the on-line chatter that Robyn is loyal to her to a fault. Gizelle also explains the “lighter mood” on RHOP due to the absence of the central Season Five storyline involving Monique Samuels. Of course, we discuss her on-again, off-again, currently off relationship with Pastor Jamal Bryant. On that note, we chat about Gizelle's self described “Hot Single Girl Summer”, her desire to date, current relationship status and “type” of man who would be ideal. Switching gears, we chat about “Bravo's Chat Room” - what being part of that show was like, the current status of the show, Kate Chastain's unclear exit from the show (especially since she was a Producer), and Kate Chastain's comments that working with both Hannah Berner and Porsha Williams was less than desirable. Finally, Gizelle explains how she wants to be remembered from this current Season Six, chats about how RHOP is no longer the Housewives Franchise to be underestimated and describes just what is next for this RHOP Lady Boss who refuses to slow down! Oh, and in the last few minutes, Gizelle cannot let us go without a special "shout out" to Miss Ramona Singer!@gizellebryant@behindvelvetrope@davidyontefBonus Episodes Available at - https://www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetropeBrought to you by APPLE LEISURE GROUP - https://www.applevacations.com/BTVR ($75 Off Your Stay at Live Aqua in Cancun or Punta Cana - Enter Promo Code “SAND75”)Brought to you by CHOPSAVER - https://www.chopsaver.com (15% Off - Use Code “Velvet”) Merch Available at - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/behind-the-velvet-rope?ref_id=13198 See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

PART TWO of my interview with 'Hot and Heavy' star Kristin Keadle! I die of embarrassment after Kristin tells me she was able to go into EARLY RETIREMENT after selling her "beach shack" bridal shop. And this girl has ALREADY come out of retirement to start another successful business! Plus Kristin dishes on the insaaane amount of gatekeeping in the "body positive" community and how she was body shamed for "not being fat enough" (??) by other plus-sized women!! Show sponsored by horizonfibroids.com and rothys.com/frase.
Do y'all remember when AJ and I reviewed TLC's 'Hot and Heavy' the show about mixed weight couples?? AJ did an impression of Kristin and we called her bridal shop a "rinky dink shack." (I'm cringing.) Turns out, Kristin thought it was hilarious and asked to be on our show!! In Part 1 of this 2-part interview, she joins TSFS to talk about how that bridal shop made her a millionaire, her incredible story of being an SA survivor, and her journey with weight gain and loss. This show is sponsored by: BallstonBID. Check out QFest on May 15.

"GODS OF WAR!!!! may your hammer be mighty." Welcome back to another episode of CINEMASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and since February is the month of love we're going to present four movies we have a love affair with, kicking off with Ron's pick: the 2007 Lonely Island (and perhaps more so Adam Sandburg) vehicle, 'Hot Rod'. Hot Rod is an underdog tale about a young 'boy' that wants to be a stung man just like his deceased dad and clearly has some issues with his new step father, Frank. But to earn Frank's love and respect, he must first beat his ass in a fight! Problem is, Frank (played by Ian McShane) has a sick heart and needs $50,000 to afford a heart transplant. Thankfully for him, Rod, along with his intrepid crew, are up to the task of earning the dough and helping Frank get better....and Rod can once again go back to trying to kick his ass.A silly movie to be sure, but you need to listen to this show to understand just how underrated a movie it really is.
Mallory of @realhousepinsoc joins Mandy to chat about Bravo and give some hot takes, including why she finds this season of RHOC to be riveting. She tells Mandy about life in the OC, how she became an unlikely rabbit owner, and they discuss which animals remind them of their late moms. At 32:00 minutes in they begin to chat Bravo, going in depth about this season of RHOC, then discussing RHOSLC (1:16:18), RHOA (1:38:40), and RHOD (1:45:35), and a little Vanderpump talk at the end. Plus, a hilarious story about Mandy’s dad and their childhood pet rabbit. It's another movie favourite from my childhood, a run through of Tim Burton's funny and scary and horny ghost with the most in the form of Michael Keaton's title character. But what's his real name? No, not Betelguese. Michael. Who could have been cast, what's a scat got to do with it? What's a BeetleMoose? Why is there a full run through of terrible talking horse comedy 'Hot To Trot', a movie with an inflatable sex horse in the middle of this episode.?! Feel sleepy, get comfortable, stick it on and find out. Then sleep. Enjoy.

Yes, that’s right. After our special 2020 awards show last week, we’re kicking off the start of the new year with our MMA hot takes and predictions ahead of a (hopefully) packed year of fights in 2021.Taking our inspiration from our pre-fight eatery of choice, the legendary Nando’s, we’ve put together our personal list of way-too-early predictions, one for each level of the famous Nando’s Peri-Ometer (which, incidentally the UK government seems to have adopted for its COVID threat level scale), as we offer our predictions, one for each grade of Nando’s heat level. So, you can expect a couple of “Mild” prediction takes from the pair of us, before we start to crank up the heat (and stretch the bounds of plausibility) as we go up the scale with ever-more outlandish predictions for the year. Will any of them actually come true in 2021? Watch this space! We even chuck in our 2021 UFC champion predictions, as we offer our lists of who we think will be holding each of the undisputed UFC titles on Jan. 1, 2022.This one was a lot of fun to record. We hope you’ll enjoy it, too.And finally, as we’ve mentioned on the show, there’s big news for the show as we get set to kick things up a gear in 2021. So do us a favour and get subscribed to our YouTube channel. It’s basically just been an archive for our old shows up to this point, but we’re going to be going big on YouTube this year, and we’d love it if you could join us, by subscribing today to help give us a running start when we launch properly on there in the coming weeks. We start with the news of Robinson Cano being suspended for 2021 after a positive PED test and what that means to the team and the payroll. We also talk about where Steve Cohen should throw all of his money this offseason. We also play our own version of 'Hot or Not' in which we talk about some of the second-tier free agents and decipher if they are fits for the Mets. Then we break down the Mets' signing of right-hander Sam McWilliams to an MLB contract. We give you some background on McWilliams and info on what to expect and why the Mets signed a guy who has never thrown a Major League pitch. To finish things off, we talk about some of our favorite Steve Cohen tweets from the past week before remembering some guys as always. This week, these two idiots talk to comedian, writer, actor, mystic chick and Mandy Patinkin fan Sarah Taylor. Because Sarah leads full moon circles and reiki healing sessions, we start the school day off in astrology/astronomy and learn first of all, which is which and also what the dark side of the moon is besides an album that you start when you hear the third lion's roar in The Wizard Of Oz. We then hop, skip and jump over to English class to do a deep dive on some Shakespeare and his love for some whores in this house. Did you know that WAP actually stands for William Ass shakes-PEARE?? True story. For Recess we go old school with a game of MASH where we learn that Sarah once loved Scott Bao but not anymore because now he's a Fuckboi Ass Hat. Another true story. Because Sarah once starred in the show 'Hot in Cleveland', we head on over to Geography class and play a game all about Cleveland where we learn that the Cuyahoga river has been on fire not ONCE... not TWICE... not THREE TIMES... BUT THIRTEEN TIMES!!!! Hey, Cleveland. Hi. What you got going on over there? We are worried about you. Before the last school bell rings we head on over to drama class where Ms. Kelly is holding auditions for the school musical and Lindsey and Sarah are forced to sing songs from 'CATS' and 'Annie' and we learn how racist "Thoroughly Modern Millie' is. Yet another true story. Will Sarah take home the graduation cap? Will Kelly show us who's in charge since Charles is now out of the picture?
