Today we are joined by the man, the myth, the legend Killah Priest. Brooklyn rapper Killah Priest has spent his lengthy, respected career making intensely spiritual music that connects Gnostic religious philosophy with the contemporary Black struggle. He made his first appearances on several Wu-Tang Clan side and solo projects, including albums by Gravediggaz, Ol' Dirty Bastard, and Genius/GZA, leading to the signing of his group Sunz of Man and the release of his acclaimed debut album, 1998's Heavy Mental. After leaving the major-label system, he went independent with 2001's Priesthood, and became an integral member of supergroups the HRSMN (aka the Four Horsemen) and Black Market Militia. He's continued releasing ambitious, metaphor-heavy solo albums such as 2007's The Offering and 2013's The Psychic World of Walter Reed, and produced some of the most experimental, spiritually advanced work of his career with later works such as 2020's Rocket to Nebula. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville, Killah Priest (Walter Reed) became infatuated with hip-hop as a child, listening to old-school and new-school acts alike. He also was influenced by local figures Genius and Onyx's DJ Suave, who would often play local parties. Killah Priest began working on his rhyming and eventually earned a considerable reputation in his neighborhood, but instead of furthering his musical career, he took a sabbatical to educate himself, primarily about religion and history, which had a major impact on his songwriting. Priest made his return to rap in 1994, appearing on several Wu-Tang projects including Gravediggaz' 6 Feet Deep, Ol' Dirty Bastard's Return to the 36 Chambers, and Genius/GZA's seminal Liquid Swords. All of his cameos were noteworthy, but his role on Liquid Swords -- especially "B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth)," essentially a Priest solo track -- earned special attention. By the end of 1996, his own group, Sunz of Man, was off the ground, having become the first act signed to Wu-Tang Records. In 1997, GZA suggested to Geffen that they should sign Priest, and the label took his advice. Priest worked on his debut solo album with True Master and 4th Disciple, two producers who were also associated with Wu-Tang. The resulting album, Heavy Mental, was dense with religious imagery and filled with evocative sounds. It received excellent reviews upon its March 1998 release and was a respectable commercial success, debuting at number 24 on the Billboard 200. Priest issued his second album, View from Masada, in May 2000, further bolstering his status as one of the most compelling solo artists in the extended Wu-Tang family (even though, at the time, he was disconnected from the crew). Although View from Masada was well-received, it failed to do well commercially, and he was dropped from his label. While many rappers let go from a major-label either vanish or take years to resurface, Priest wasted no time and established his own imprint. July 2001's Priesthood, involving no Wu-Tang input whatsoever, was produced by Luminati and Nirocist, and released on the MC's Proverbs imprint. July 2003's Black August, however, came out on Recon. Although he certainly wasn't silent after this -- Black Market Militia (featuring Tragedy Khadafi and Hell Razah), the HRSMN (featuring Ras Kass, Kurupt, and Canibus), and Sunz of Man were ongoing concerns -- a few years passed before Priest's next solo album. March 2007's The Offering appeared on the Traffic-distributed Good Hands Records. His release schedule picked up considerably -- Behind the Stained Glass, Black August Revisited, and Beautiful Minds, the latter a full-length collaboration with Chief Kamachi, were all released in 2008. The Exorcist, Elizabeth, and several mixtapes appeared in 2009. The 3 Day Theory, featuring guest appearances by several emcees including Cappadonna, Ill Bill, and the Last Emperor, was released by Man Bites Dog in 2010. Following several delays, Killah Priest returned in 2013 with the ambitious double-CD The Psychic World of Walter Reed, a reunion of sorts with the Wu-Tang family, featuring guest rhymes and production by GZA, RZA, Inspectah Deck, and Ghostface Killah, as well as an appearance by George Clinton. The more sci-fi-themed Planet of the Gods appeared in 2015, and Priest formed the group Moon Crickets with Toronto-based rapper Lord Fury and DJ Mercilless. The Infinite Universe, with Vendetta Kingz, was released in 2016, and the mixtapes Don't Sit on the Speakers, Vol. 1 (with 4th Disciple) and The Untold Story of Walter Reed, Pt. 2 appeared in 2017. A 2020 mixtape with frequent collaborator Jordan River Banks, Journey to the Planet of the Gods preceded one of Priest's deepest, most abstract releases, Rocket to Nebula, an often-beatless record filled with reversed samples and ambient textures. A proper album with Banks, The Third Eye in Technicolor, closed out the year. The cinematic Lord Sun Heavy Mental 1.1 appeared in March of 2021.Show Notes:Killah Priest | Official WebsiteKillah Priest TV | YoutubeKillah Priest | InstagramKillah Priest | TwitterKillah Priest Discography | DiscogsGhostface Killah | TwitterRZA | TwitterNature Knows No Color-Line: Research into the Negro Ancestry in the White Race by J.A. The Sunz sweep the Nuggets and Joker gets ejected, all other series are tied 2-2, and Luka has some issues with the front office. The anime spring season is winding down giving a lot of closure in these last episodes except 86-86 which ends with Fido having a flashback of its life before blowing up seems like the last episode will have some conflict involved. Takamechi saves Daken and stands up for himself in Tokyo Revengers while Deku plans a Christmas party. The guys shift to music talking about Llyod Banks' album The Course of the Inevitable which is pretty amazing.

MAKEBA MOONCYCLE I’m not a female MC! I'm a MC for life! Traveling around the universe looking for a way to release, inside there's a fire when set free comes peace! Makeba has been writing and performing since she was a child. Did she always know that she wanted to be an MC? Did she know that her writings and poetry would open a door to being a lyricist or a MC? No, Makeba looked at writing as a way to escape and the universe led her to connect with people in each stage of her life. From dancing lessons, piano lessons and being exposed to hard work and entrepreneurs helped her on my journey. Makeba believes that life experiences will shape your decisions and directions some right some wrong. All of these turns introduced her to a life, a world and to people that have prepared me for important moments. Her love for dance took her to clubs where she met LinQue. Makeba's love for helping others led her to the BlackWatch movement and X Clan and Sonny Carson. Makeba's loyalty to friends led her to helping in business which led her to MC Lyte. Which led her to finding talented artists and producers who eventually became family. Putting others and supporting their dreams before her own became part of an instinctive nature that taught her many things. Makeba said she was thankful to the people that inspired me even though she was afraid to show her skills, this fear brought on by her fear of loss. Makeba's first experiences in a professional recording studio was with X Clan, ISIS and Queen Mother Rage. She was able to road manage for ISIS, Queen Mother Rage, YZ and X Clan. When out with X Clan she only assisted Professor X and the road manager Walter. Hands on training was better than any book or instruction manual. Makeba found that she had an ear for talent, especially great producers. Makeba said that she learned a lot from those experiences which showed her how to work and maneuver within the music business. The first professional song Makeba recorded besides backgrounds and hooks was on MC Lyte's album Ain't No Other on the song Hard Copy produced by Backspin. Her MC name at this time was Kink Ez because she had locks and her hair locked up fast giving her antennas to the universe. Recording with Lyte and LinQue was amazing and lit a fire in her that could not be extinguished. Before the song a strong friendship/sisterhood was formed along with a management company called Duke Da Moon. Our dream was to manage LinQue and the other artists. At this time Makeba was focused on running the company, not music. While managing several artists she formed a group called Afrodeeziacs with Asia Minor, the group's demo was produced by Down Low productions own Self and Goldie. While looking for tracks for LinQue's album with Ruffhouse she met a production team called Friendly Fee Amelia and Kevin Moore. After leaving Duke Da Moon she began to record solo tracks with Friendly Fee the first being H20 with many more after that. Makeba recorded many songs and Friendly Fee put out her first single as Makeba Mooncycle called Desert Storm that was picked for a New MC's compilation on Rhino Records called Phat Beats and Bra Straps. Then another single called Ahhh featuring the COINS by this time Friendly Fee changed their name to Masters of the Art. With Masters of the Art, Makeba had written and recorded an extensive catalogue of songs. While performing in Washington DC she met promoters from Africa who said they wanted her to come and perform. Makeba performed on the FESTAM Tour of West Africa in Dakar, Senegal opening up for African artists in big venues and she performed day and night at smaller venues and schools. Armed only with a distribution deal from Orpheus/EMI, which did not pan out because they wanted her to pay for features she quickly parted ways. Still working hardmanaging herself and others Makeba quickly built a loyal fanbase and saw a string of releases. She is currently writing a book based on her experiences within the music business. Makeba’s catalogue of music includes the singles Lunchroom Classics and WE, duets with Talib Kweli produced by J. Rawls, An EP released on Buka Entertainment/Lone Catalysts called The Gibbous. We Can't be Touched produced by DJ Tony Touch and Ray Rolls, Doin our Thang produced by Joe Loops both with Sunz of Man, Crazy Love, a European release with Nona Hendryx, and Fire produced by Arabian Knight, a song with Royal Fam's Timbo King off of Wu Tang Records. After Duke Da Moon Makeba started her own management company called Must Maintain Entertainment, and was known as the hook up lady who served as a consultant for various artists such as Mood, Hi Tech, Talib Kweli, AZ, Skanks The Rap Martyr (Problem Child), P Funk, and The Rose Family. Makeba has also lent her voice to television, doing voice-overs for an Italian Adidas commercial that featured the late "Just Got Paid" Johnny Kemp and the late Jam Master Jay of Run DMC who produced the music for the commercial. She also used her voice over talents for two Sugar Golden Crisps commercials. Makeba also recorded and performed the theme song for BET Comic View’s 10th anniversary show, and appeared on the PBS television series Between the Lions. Makeba worked with many artists and producers trying to mark her spot in Hip Hop history. She has many releases on the way, the first being The Gibbous 2020 a twenty year anniversary celebration of the original release with new songs. Can You Feel Me a single off the Sunz of Anarchy Sicktape Volume one brought to us by Skanks The Rap Martyr and Anarchy Records. She will also be releasing a Mixtape called Featuring with Anarchy Records and an album name at the moment called Just A Part Of Me! She is still moving and as she says "Don't Stop, Don't Quit!

Killah Priest joins TruthSeekah in this episode of The TruthSeekah Podcast as they discuss esoteric symbolism, the anunnaki, magical Egypt and Hollywood.Killah Priest made his first appearances on such Wu-Tang side and solo projects as Gravediggaz' 6 Feet Deep, Ol' Dirty Bastard's Return to the 36 Chambers, and Genius/GZA's seminal Liquid Swords. His contributions to those releases — especially Liquid Swords' “B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth),” essentially a Priest solo track — paved the way for the release of the MC's acclaimed debut album, 1998's Heavy Mental, and a lengthy and respected career in the hip-hop underground. In addition to his prolific solo work, he was an integral member of the groups Sunz of Man, the HRSMEN (aka the Four Horsemen), and Black Market Militia.Born in Brooklyn and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville, Killah Priest (born Walter Reed) became infatuated with hip-hop as a child, listening to old school and new school acts alike. He also was influenced by local figures Genius and Onyx's DJ Suave, who would often play local parties. Killah Priest began working on his rhyming and eventually earned a considerable reputation in his neighborhood, but instead of furthering his musical career, he took a sabbatical to educate himself, primarily about religion and history. The sabbatical had a major impact on his songwriting.View From MasadaPriest made his return to rap in 1995, appearing on several Wu-Tang projects. All of his cameos were noteworthy, but his role on Liquid Swords earned special attention. By the end of 1996, his own side project, Sunz of Man, was off the ground. While many rappers dropped form a major label either vanish or take years to resurface, Priest wasted no time and established his own label. July 2001's Priesthood, involving no Wu-Tang input whatsoever, was produced by Luminati and Nirocist and released on the MC's Proverbs imprint. July 2003's Black August, however, came out on Recon. Although he certainly wasn't silent after this — Black Market Militia (featuring Tragedy Khadafi and Hell Razah), the Horsemen (featuring Ras Kass, Kurupt, and Canibus), and Sunz of Man were ongoing concerns — a few years passed before Priest's next solo album, March 2007's The Offering. He then switched to the Traffic label, where his release schedule picked up a bit. Behind the Stained Glass and Beautiful Minds, the latter a full-length collaboration with Chief Kamachi, were both released in 2008. Elizabeth and The 3 Day Theory (a Man Bites Dog release), two of his deepest and most idiosyncratic releases, were issued, respectively, in 2009 and 2010.TruthSeekah's New Book Spirit Realm: Angels Demons, Spirits and the Sovereignty of God (Foreword by Jordan Maxwell) https://amzn.to/31g9ydRTruthSeekahs Guided Meditation | The Throneroom Visualization https://www.TruthSeekah.com/MeditationsHelp Keep The TruthSeekah Podcast On The Air!⭐️ Become A Patron And Support TruthSeekah

Jorge Luis Borges Acevedo. (Buenos Aires, 24 de agosto de 1899 - Ginebra, Suiza, 14 de junio de 1986). Poeta, ensayista y escritor argentino.
In this episode, Strength And Conditioning Coach for UFC Middleweight King Israel Adesanya discusses preparing for his rise to Global Superstardom. How did he do it?* Practice your skills* Strength And Conditioning * Study* PlanThat fourth step, planning has to be the most important of all. You obviously need to be a great athlete to succeed and build a career in sport, however how Israel & Sunz took this to the next level was to visualize every next step in Israel's career. Not just blindly saying "I will fight in the UFC one day" but planning out what fight was next and creating the priority scale to ensure that he was not only a great fighter but ready for what kind of person he needed to be to succeed as a UFC Superstar.Thank YOU for tuning in to another episode of The Elite Development Podcast! “Just be true to yourself and who you are. That’s it. The simplest things in life are usually the hardest. And that saying is so simple… Are you doing what you’re meant to be doing? Are you doing it for you? And is there purpose and intention behind it?” - Coach SunzCoach Sunz is a high-performance strength and condition coach to many of the best athletes in the world including, Israel Adesanya, Sonny Bill William, Quade Cooper, Tom Abercrombie and many others. Coach Sunz has an unwavering and unashamed vision and mission to be the greatest coach of all time, full stop. In this podcast interview TruthSeekah speaks with Chron Heaven Razah Smith Wu Tang Clan affiliate about his journey from Hell To Heaven Razah. During his transformation Chron suffered a brain aneurysm back in 2010. As a result of this tragedy, Hell Razah has spent the last 7 years slowly recovering from this near-fatal incident, which left him in a coma and unable to use the left side of his body. As Razah has been struggling to learn how to walk, talk, and rhyme again, filmmaker Frank Meyer has been documenting his journey every step of the way. Chron Heaven Razah Smith's story is an emotional rollercoaster that lets us know that healing is possible. At the point of our brokenness we can choose to be either victim or victor. We can get better or bitter and Chron's story lets us know that there is hope for the hopeless. Instead of asking why and blaming God Chron knew that he had to reach out in prayer and supplication to draw close to the spirit of Christ that has never left or forsaken him. Tough time don't last, but tough people always do and over the course of time Chron Heaven Razah Smith became a living testimony that God is still in the business of restoration. Chron explains that during his near-death experience he came into the presence of Christ and was told that it wasn't his time. He was told that he has a message to deliver and how many will come to knowledge of God through his story. Chron has Risen from Hell to Heaven and uses his music a bridge to bring people out of the depths of darkness and depression into the marvelous light of Christ's love. It was through the prayers and support from fans that motivated Chron to grow stronger and regain faith that he would one day be able to grab the mic again and share with the masses which the Risen Documentary recorded amazingly. In this interview TruthSeekah and Chron even get a little deep in speaking about Biblical mysteries and angelology. Chron shares his fascination with UFOs and his personal experiences with Killah Priest as they both have encountered these heavenly vehicles on multiple occasions. Charon has recently dropped his latest project Equilibrium that is jam packed with all of the beautiful spirituality that we have come to love from Heaven Razah and Sunz of Man. Hell Razah of Sunz of Man joins the archive
Sunz of man founder Hell Razah stops by GTR and breaks down the origins of Sunz of Man, The Wu tang Dynasty, his near death Experience and what he has coming up for the people.
With the likes of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith leading the boycott of the 88th Oscars, the Boom Bap Radio crew prepped a show wrought with lofty thoughts of racial inclusion, justice and a Chris Rock monologue. Taped just hours before the Academy was set to handout its top award to a thespian who was so white and hours after Hillary Clinton primary win in South Carolina, Masta Talka, the C.O. and Angry Engineer and Masta Talka were ready to tally votes for Democratic front-runner and looked forward to the GOP primaries. But what’s a celebration without a little music? The crew first shouted out that delusional Tom, Dr. Ben Carson and his attempt to lure the Hip Hop community into the Bubble. The BBR trio then wished good health to DMX, estimated how much 50 Cent and Kanye West were actually worth and mourned with the likes of Sunz of Man, EW&F, Public Enemy and Poor Righteous Teachers. What’s wrong baby, is you hangry? – It’s Boom Bap Radio.
