如xyz.cc  2. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/isuperman/message

Fuel Your Marketing Podcast with Arti Sharma| Marketing Podcast for CEO's, Business Owners, Entrepreneurs and Modern Marketer

One of the trends we've seen in 2023 is the use of AMPs or Accelerated Mobile Pages. They provide a seamless experience to users which can lead to higher conversion rates and sales for businesses. However, there are also some downsides you need to consider before applying them to your business. In this episode, Arti Sharma wraps up the 2023 SEO series by talking about AMPs or Accelerated Mobile Pages. She shares the pros and cons of using them to help you make the right decision if you should hop on this trend for your business. Listen and learn in this episode!   KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS EPISODE Accelerated Mobile Page (AMP) is an open-source framework developed by Google Developers that allows web developers to create fast loading lightweight versions of web pages for mobile devices. Why businesses are using AMPs? AMPs are designed to load quickly and provide a smooth, seamless user experience on mobile devices, which can improve user engagement rates.  Faster loading times tend to rank higher in search results, so implementing AMP can improve a website's ranking and visibility. AMPs are eligible to be displayed in the top stories at the top of Google search results, which can increase the visibility and credibility of a website.  Improved user experience and faster loading time lead to a better experience, which can lead to better conversions and sales.   Some downsides of using AMPs: Limited functionality Reduced control over the site's appearance May impact SEO negatively if not done properly (according to some experts) Creating separate versions of pages may lead to content duplication and potential penalties from search engines Privacy concerns   Make the right decision by weighing the pros and cons of AMPs and analyzing what is the right fit for your business.

Bustle Digital Group might not seem like a natural home for The Outline, the website once described as "a New Yorker for millennials." And that's the point, said Josh Topolsky, founder of The Outline. After its acquisition by Bustle, he now serves as the parent company's editor-in-chief of culture and innovation, overseeing The Outline, Mic and Inverse. "The opposites thing is actually part of the attraction and why it makes sense," said Topolsky. "We had this conversation about should media businesses exist where everything isn't trying to get to 40 million uniques. Let's figure out what those different brands are and build them to the right size, and find the right brands that want to advertise on them, find the right audiences that want to come and visit them. And the collection of those things makes the overall business stronger." This week on the Digiday Podcast, Topolsky discussed Bustle Digital Group's newly launched tech news site, Input; his previous declaration on the Digiday Podcast that "everything about digital media is insanely boring" and how history is repeating itself as publishers rely heavily on traffic from Google's open source Accelerated Mobile Pages.

Firstly let's take a look at Twitter. It's no secret that Twitter has struggled with revenue and growth over the past few years. Even the introduction of ads has not really helped, as it's far too easy to skip past them in the platform. Monetization has been a struggle, and now there's a lot of talk about a takeover in the pipeline. Salesforce, Microsoft and Disney have all expressed some interest in buying Twitter, but none of these companies want it as badly as Google do - and here's why. Google has not had any real success with it's own social platform, Google+, I think we even called it the living dead in a previous video. We said that the best course of action for Google would be just buying a successful one. You know, just casually buying a social network - Google certainly has the funds to do it. It looks as though Google is intending to use Twitter to revitalize engagement on Youtube. Recent updates to the Youtube platform such as the new “community” features show that google is testing different ways of getting more activity engagement. An integration between Twitter and Youtube makes a lot of sense. Twitter would be the perfect place to share video content, and Youtube would finally have the engaging social features that would see video platform buzzing with life - the way that videos do on Facebook. What this means for you, is that you should be looking to get video content up on YouTube ASAP, as there may soon be a lot of opportunity in this space. At the very least, create your Youtube and Twitter accounts so that you are ready, and begin brainstorming your awesome content. Next let's look at AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages. [Cutaway - chris on postie bike with web pages flying out the back like mail?] We said before in a previous video, that you didn't need to worry about AMP until you saw them appearing in search. Well guess what - in the last 2 weeks they've been appearing for all sorts of search results, and always - right at the top. It's time to start taking this seriously - AMP are officially happening and it looks like Google is giving a big boost to those who are using it. The other advantage of AMP is that they are lightning fast and highly relevant for mobile - this obviously will have a positive effect on bounce rates and engagement when being used on a phone. Considering that mobile usage has well-and-truly overtaken desktop usage, everyone should now be optimizing for mobile. The problem we have found with AMP is it's not easy to setup. Simple platforms like Wordpress have a few Plugins for AMP, but they are far from foolproof - it really does require the help of a developer at this early stage. Especially if you are wanting to do AMP on a large website or ecommerce store And before we wrap thing up we wanted to take a quick look at Facebook's awesome new product called “Facebook at Work”. This is a new development, that allows you to create a private social network for your company, with all of the facebook features we know and love. The Facebook feed, comments, Messenger, video chat and everything else is all now available for your company to use as a collaboration tool. The advantage of this is that almost everyone knows how to use Facebook, so it's going to be a no brainer for your staff to start using this. Also, you don't need to create a new account to connect to a Facebook @ work group. And that's all we have time for today! As you know the team at MeMedia are always here to help. If you need any assistance creating content for Youtube, or any other type of marketing give us a call. Also if you need assistance with web development such as setting up AMP on your website - we can help with that too! Thanks for listening Australia. We'll see you next week.

Léonie Watson does many things: she worked on overhauling the UK government's digital services, is on the W3C advisory board, acts as co-chair of the W3C web platform working group, is an advisor for Google's Accelerated Mobile Pages project, and also runs the Inclusive Design 24 conference. She also happens to be visually impaired. The show begins with how she went from drama school towards a career as a web programmer, and how she become a strong advocate for improving accessibility in web standards. Léonie stresses that anyone can get involved in the decisions that power the web by contributing to the W3C's public conversations at GitHub. She details the lifecycle of a proposal, and highlights how considerations such as accessibility, security, and privacy are built-in. While existing standards are well-conceived for realms such as SVG, HTML, or ARIA, there are still new frontiers to work towards every year, particularly with API-driven interfaces. Léonie mentions how the interfaces for the "Internet of things" still need to make progress to ensure those devices are usable by all. There are several tools to help software developers build more accessible systems. Chrome's Dev Tools, for example, have a suite of checks you can run on a website to grade its accessibility. Platforms such as Axe or Tenon can run automated tests as part of a CI flow to maintain high quality code before it ships. For Léonie, it's important for designers, developers, and product managers not to be overwhelmed by all the requirements and allow perfect to be the enemy of good. Even attempting inclusive design advances technology towards a much better place. The conversation continues with some discussion on Léonie's work with TetraLogical, a consultancy focused on accessibility in emerging technologies, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and WebXR. By setting a standard for inclusive design principles, Léonie hopes that organizations can incorporate accessibility as yet another aspect of good design, beyond just the bare minimums required by tech specs and test suites. Links from this episode Nomensa and The Paciello Group are two agencies Léonie Watson worked at. Their focus is on better UX for web accessibility. She's since founded TetraLogical, which focuses on accessibility issues in emerging technologies like VR, AR, and WebXR. GitHub.com/W3C is the central meeting point for many of the discussions on web standards tink.uk is Léonie's blog, focused on accessibility in web standards Inclusive Design Principles is a set of guidelines on how to go above and beyond in making your site accessible Axe is an accessibility engine for automated web UI testing. No one wants to wait around for a website to load. If you want customers to buy from you online, you need to give them what they want quickly. Google understands this better than anyone. That’s why they created AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages. AMP is a technology that allows Google to serve up from its cache a trimmed down version of your mobile pages, thus massively reducing load times. Not surprisingly, using AMP can increase conversions and reduce bounce rates. In this episode, you’re going to get the low down on AMP from Google’s very own Developer Advocate, Ben Morrs. Ben and I will be deep diving into the technical aspects of AMP with plenty of insider tips on how to get the most out of it for your website. Ben will also be making his case for why nearly every website should implement AMP. He’ll be revealing the best way to get it up and running on WordPress. If you get any traffic at all via mobile, this episode is going to provide immense value. This is a rare opportunity to hear some best practices from someone with inside knowledge of how Google operates.

We have committed to throwing a FREE Marketing School Live Event in Los Angeles, once Marketing School reaches 1M downloads in a 30 day period. Take action: Rate, review, subscribe, and SHARE. Check the progress here! TIME-STAMPED SHOW NOTES: [00:27] Today's Topic:  Does AMP Still Help With SEO? [00:42] AMP stands for Accelerated Mobile Pages. [00:55] AMP helps speed up your page loads on mobile devices. [01:25] Google is caching, which is why it loads so quickly. [01:45] It strips a lot of stuff away to increase speed, so you lose out on a lot of conversions. [02:12] AMP helps somewhat in SEO. [02:22] In the United States, AMP doesn't help with traffic. [02:45] In places like Brazil, the traffic increases. [03:05] If you are targeting less developed regions, AMP will still help you with SEO. [03:28] However, we can't give a definitive answer. [04:05] By building on top of Google products, you risk losing control of your site. [04:36] That's it for today! [05:15] We hit our goal of 1 Million downloads! So, we will be throwing a free event in Los Angeles this June. Check out this website if you would like to attend. Hey everyone and welcome to responsive design weekly podcast episode 44! Well a whole lot of awesome has been happening since I last spoke with you over the…. well what ever you’re using to listen to me right now. I was lucky enough to head over for the Adobe Max conference which was three days of some great keynote speakers and some awesome new product demonstrations. Adobe are doing a great job at listening to what you and I want as web designers and developers and seem to be really honing in on making their tools as collaborative as possible. Like with all great conferences it’s he people that made the conference. I got to meet a load of people from Adobe including the some of the amazing team working on Comet. Comet is….. Jay Messinger was there as well, he helped set up the whole open device lab movement which you can benefit from. ODL is….. https://opendevicelab.com/ I also caught up with Brad Frost while I was there and he introduced me to a great guy Dan Rose. Dan runs the website Photoshop Etiquette which you would all go and check out. If you don’t use photoshop go and check it out and share it with your designer friends, and if you do use it then please please please heed the advice. I’m going to get Dan on the podcast in the next few weeks to talk about the responsive workflow, especially through photoshop and get him to share his experiences. I also met a guy, David Blatner, who works on a lot of illustrator and Indesign stuff. We talked about books and bringing books into browsers to make the content universally available. This really struck a chord with me as I’ve been working on taking a PDF version of an old books and make it available for everyone online (and offline). There’s a bunch of great examples of books being made freely available online including: AMP is a thing. Accelerated Mobile Pages - something that came out of google. Makes things faster, we love that Forces you… FORCES, to include Javascript in the head of the document and doesn’t work it it doesn’t load. Requires you to use on AMP HTML elements, so image elements have to be AMP-ImG. They have outlawed a bunch of other HTML elements which just seems wrong. To me it seems like going back to developing two versions of your content, one for m. sites and one for your regular site. Except now it’s one version for everyone except google, and AMP for googles fast news. Focus on making your site really really quick. Good points is its not that hard to set up. I managed it on the RWD.is site in around on hour. It’s not styled, but it has the template that is required but there downsides are…. no images no styles The URL must have a query string with the CMS I’m using. It’s kind of like using RSS, except you’re restricted from using the HTML that you would usually drop into an RSS feed and forced to use their own Google do do a lot of great things though. Like on Chrome on Android if you have
