Angie shares insights into her creative process, highlighting the importance of vulnerability and expressing truth in storytelling.4. Through her novel, Angie explores deep historical and cultural insights, challenging romanticized versions of history and emphasizing the need for critical thinking.5. Looking ahead, Angie provides a glimpse into her next project, a story about Geronimo and the Apache community, promising another fascinating exploration of history and wisdom.Key Quote from Angie:"I think you get to these points when you're writing and you're working as an artist where you have a small moment where you're like, I wonder if I should not write that. I want to write that, but I wonder if other people read this, should I not write that? Should I not share that, be, like, that vulnerable? And you said that in your beginning, so you have to and in choosing vulnerability, which I did, you learn a deeper version of yourself. Yeah. You end up, you're expressing truth now. You're not expressing an illusion."Don't miss this insightful conversation with Angie Elita Newell, available on all major podcast platforms. Remember, embracing diverse perspectives and telling untold stories can pave the way for a more enlightened world.https://www.instagram.com/GreenleafBookGrhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/greenleaf-book-group/Tune in next time as we continue our creative journey around the globe. MaryEllen Weber is an SDI Member and a spiritual director, and she has written a children's book which was recently published by Growing Awake Books. It's called “Finding God in All I See, Finding God in You and Me". MaryEllen and I had a conversation about the inspiration for this book, and what it was like to write and publish it. For us grownups, MaryEllen asks us this - When you were a child, what did you think about God? Where did you think God lived? What did you think God was like? Where did you think you could find God? Chances are, you experienced God in many ways without realizing it, because the places you were taught to look for God were limited. What if someone in your life had taught you to find God everywhere and in everyone, including yourself? MaryEllen Weber has an MA in Transforming Spirituality from Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry. As a spiritual director, she accompanies people with their inner work of transformation through spiritual growth groups, labyrinth and SoulCollage® workshops, retreats and individual spiritual direction. MaryEllen lives near Seattle with her husband, Jim, and Grandmother Willow. --- Engage 2022 is SDI's first “hybrid” annual conference. That means it will be experienced in-person in Santa Fe as well as digitally, through live apps and recordings. Engage 2022 is about deep listening and the lasting change it can create, it is about engaging with our shadow to find light, and it is about bridge building in the service of love– fostering engagement. Keynote Presenters include Dr. Cornel West, Valarie Kaur, Father Greg Boyle, and more. Register now for SDI's 2022 Annual Conference, at sdicompanions.org.

Please join me as Neon Trees front man Tyler Glenn and award-winning pianist and composer Paul Cardall return to Mormon Stories Podcast to premiere a new music video: "I Know It Hurts", from Paul Cardall's memoir-style album "The Broken Miracle." We would welcome your questions for Tyler and Paul during this live Q&A.   “I Know It Hurts” was co-written by Cardall and Glenn after they met several years ago at the famed LOVELOUD Festival, where they were both performing. Glenn is co-founder of the festival, alongside Imagine Dragon’s Dan Reynolds.   “Before writing this song, Tyler and I discussed at length the challenges we all feel that result from trauma,” Cardall explains. “In my case, though my heart transplant was a beautifully orchestrated miracle, it was still the grand finale to a lot of years of medical trauma. It triggered anxiety and depression. For everyone who is suffering, not necessarily physically, but because they are different or feel like an outsider, I want to say to them, ‘I know it hurts.’ This song acknowledges that you are not alone. This song validates our feelings in a way that says, ‘keep going, keep fighting, we understand.’”   Glenn adds,   “I wanted the lyric and performance of this song to convey a sense of understanding how it feels to get through a trauma or heartache. So much of life for many is the search for a sense of belonging, a sense of self-worth. This song feels more like an acknowledgement of that, and I hope it brings a feeling of being seen and comforted. I hope those in pain from whatever it may be, feel a sense of validation.”   The video, directed by Rob Norbutt, is in stark black and white, the simplicity of which amplifies the power of the message:   You’ve been floating out in space You just wanted to believe There were tears upon your face And your body felt no ease Dear God is there not more Cuz it’s cold on the church floor   Cardall’s new album is more than a colorful collection of 19 emotionally-charged songs. The Broken Miracle is a musical memoir, a personal manifesto that celebrates a life filled with nearly unfathomable tragedy and heady triumph. An enthusiastic collaborator, Cardall welcomes an all-star cast of creative partners on The Broken Miracle. The title track was penned with Christian music veteran Matt Hammitt and Carter Forge, and is sung by Hammitt. “Broken Machine” features singer/songwriter Rachael Yamagata’s vocals on the tune Cardall co-wrote with Yamagata and Trevor Price. In addition to Glenn, the project also includes appearances by Ty Herndon, J. Daniel, and Akelee; while pop star David Archuleta sings the power-ballad “My Heart Beats for You.” His collaboration with Thompson Square on “All I See is Snow” was declared “ the Christmas song of the pandemic.”   Cardall’s evolution as an artist continues with the release of The Broken Miracle, a title inspired by his true-to-life story of being born with a congenital heart defect, which nearly took his life numerous times. Cardall received a heart transplant 10 years ago and continues to thrive as a father, husband, and artist. The Broken Miracle will also be released as a biographical fiction novel written by J.D. Netto. The book will be released February 2.

Okay, so it has been over a year since part 2 of the Essential Kylie series was released but the reason has been the difficulty in finding quality remixes of her singles from the late 90's and early 2000's. This is where my good friend Rob (aka Division 4) stepped in and helped me out enormously. He generously gave me some of his personal and private remixes that he had done of Kylie and I am extremely grateful for his generosity. This edition is dedicated to him. A big shout out also to DJ Argonaut from Melbourne. This 3rd edition covers Kylie's album releases 'Impossible Princess'; 'Light Years'; 'Fever'; 'Body Language'; 'X' and her self titled album 'Kylie Minogue'. "Where Is The Feeling" marked a move into a smoother, house phase of her musical sound, while "Some Kind Of Bliss" highlighted an indie sound. "Spinning Around" was a massive hit which established the sexy playful side of her and her music as did "Kids", her collaboration with Robbie Williams. Even though she had had some success in the USA with "Locomotion", her single "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" went to number 1 in nearly every country it was released in and the music video was provocative and something completely new for Kylie. "Love At First Sight" was another huge hit and she was on a role. "Slow", "Red Blooded Woman" and "Wow" brought her to the close of the naughties and set her up to launch into the 2010's. Stand Out mixes come from Division 4, Argonaut, Barry Harris and David Morales to name a few so, Enjoy yourself. Anthony 1/ "WHERE IS THE FEELING" (David Morales Club Mix) 2/ "KIDS" (Division 4 Remix) ft. “Suburbicon,” a twisted collaboration between director George Clooney and the Coen Brothers, is a satiric poke in the eye to the idea of an idyllic 50s American suburbia. This pitch black comedy stars Matt Damon and Julianne Moore in a violent tale of murder and racism. We’re proud to present the new issue from DISCOPOLIS. It’s Twenty Fifteen and it will be your guide to the upcoming year. As you know we’ve been working on a new different taste since our Summer 2013 release so you’ll still have the classic Nu Disco within the first mix but the future Deep House within the second one. THE NU MIX starts with one of the artist of our beloved Duke Dumont’s label Blasé Boys Club, ‘Go Deep’ by Jax Jones, who was featured on Duke’s previous hit ‘I Got U’. We have Bondax’s tropical vibes with ‘All I See’, one of the Nu Disco tracks of the Summer. The 2 Bears (Joe Goddard & Raf Rundell) are about to release their new album and we need to show you how it’s gonna sound so you can find their new fabulous single ‘Not This Time’ here (which has a excellent video too, check it out). It’s important to highlight one of the songs of the past season, ‘Colourblind’ by Les Loups, a classy but catchy track. James Curds brings classic sounds from House and he remixes ‘Whenever’ by Hotlane and presents his new track ‘Say The Words To You’ for those who love late 90s house basslines. Then we’ll go back to 80s with The Young Punx & Louis La Roche and the retouch Mitch Murder made for Kiesza’s ‘Hideaway’. At the end of the mix the sounds get relaxed again with Walter Sobcek x Oxford, the amazing remix Yathzel made for Pekin Duk’s ‘High’, Keljet for Ji Nilsson’s ‘Heartbreakfree’, one of the best tracks of the year and the remixer to watch, Kygo, retouching Ed Sheeran’s ‘I See Fire’. THE FUTURE MIX is for being played very loud with the best Hi-Fi System you have in your house. Chase & Status produced the first track, ‘Your Love’ by Moko and when you hear it you will know the 90s have never died. But this is only the beginning because with the second one we’re going even harder. As we said before, we loooove Blasé Boys Club and its headman Duke Dumont so here you are the banger ‘Won’t Look Back’. If this song is not the first one of the mix it’s only because you couldn’t be ready without warming up. You will find some old friends like Blonde, Kiesza again but this time remixed by Billon, Gorgon City with ‘Unmissable’, The Magician with ‘Sunlight’, MØ remixed by Kant or Le Youth & Javeon’s ‘Feel Your Love’. But if the only thing you want to do is get crazy with the maddest basslines then check ’90’s Baby’ by Redlight, ‘You Got To’ by the legend guys Groove Armada, the remix Grant Nelson made for Sam Smith’s ‘I’m Not The Only One’ or one of the acts who was featured in our first release back in 2009, Treasure Fingers teaming up with Bosco with the smash ‘Names’. Don’t miss up Kulkid, one of the artists to watch this year. He touches Coolio’s ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ and turns it into a golden dancefloor track. But he’s not the only one doing magic with his remixes, Nico & Vinz’s ‘Am I Wrong’ gets revisited by TS7 (with free download from his Soundcloud page) and bring us the best possible finale. THE NU MIX JAX JONES - Go Deep BONDAX - All I See TOMAS BARFOD feat. NINA K - Busy Baby (Oliver Nelson Remix) THE 2 BEARS - Not This Time GOLDEN COAST - Break My Fall (Rainer + Grimm Remix) CHARLI XCX - Boom Clap (Aeroplane Remix) THE SUBS feat. British duo Bondax is Adam Kaye and George Townsend. These house music producers started out in 2012 with the surprise single "Baby I Got That" followed by many more dance floor-friendly tracks, including my favorite "Gold." Strangely enough, it's now 2016 and still Bondax haven't released a proper record. I met with Adam in his hotel room before a DJ gig. He was sipping on a smoothie while he waited for the car that would take him to the club. Why haven't Bondax released a proper record? When was the last time the tour manager caught Adam and George having a spontaneous dance party in the hotel room? What's the story behind my favorite Bondax track "Gold"? What do Adam and George talk about in the wee hours of the morning when they are all alone? Where the hell was George? These are all questions I asked Adam (and more.) Listen to our chat! Contemporary soul singer Christopher Williams was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. The nephew of jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald decided to become a singer after sitting with his aunt Ella, Frank Sinatra and Count Basie after a show. With talent in his genes and the desire to be a great recording artist, Christopher Williams emerged during the late 1980s, as a recording artist for Geffen Records. He released his debut album, entitled “Adventures in Paradise”, in 1989. The singles “Talk To Myself” and “Promises, Promises” reached the R&B Top 10 charts, and Christopher’s soulful, powerful voice made him stand out among his peers. In 1991, he landed his first acting role portraying Kareem Akbar, appearing alongside Wesley Snipes and Ice-T in the pop culture movie hit, New Jack City. His single from the soundtrack of the same name, “Dreamin’” turned gold and became a #1 single on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks charts. His 1992 Uptown Records album “Changes” featured the hits “All I See”, "Every Little Thing" and "Come Go with Me." The album peaked at sixty-three on the U.S. Billboard 200 and reached the twelfth spot on the R&B Albums chart. In 1995 the album “Changes” was followed up by “Not a Perfect Man” on Giant Records. This album brought a new direction for Williams; his first album as sole Executive Producer uses elements of reggae, R&B, hip-hop and country. In 2001, after a six year hiatus the album “Real Men Do” was released on the indie label Renegade, receiving rave reviews from Ebony Magazine and many other notable publications.

The Josh Podcast podcast Show: The Anti-Podcast podcast on God and Man

Is faith in God similar to a belief in the supernatural?  Do Christianity and the Bible shed any light on paranormal experiences? Josh and Dan discuss their personal religious beliefs and theories on ghosts and God. They share real encounters they had with the parnormal on their missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS or Mormon).    *** Josh asks Dan to speak about ants the next time he's on – and he isn't joking. *** Music provided by The Shore. The Josh Podcast podcast Show: The Anti-Podcast podcast on God and Man

Josh and Dr. Rolph discuss a supernatural experience they shared after a Philadelphia-based wedding in 2005. Dr. Rolph offers accounts of other events that are claimed to have occurred in the same location by others. Josh briefly shares how the event affected his faith, a topic they will explore more fully in a later episode. Dr. Rolph spends some time explaining his personal connection to folklore and then details the central location to our family stories in Rolph Hollow, pronounced "Holler" in the local dialect. A few stories are shared, such as a "headless horseman" sighting with no known connection to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. He establishes the credibility of the Rolph family in that era and provides background to the "Red Eyed Monster" story that will be shared in Episode 5, or part 3 of this series. The singles “Talk To Myself” and “Promises, Promises” reached the R&B Top 10, and Christopher's powerful voice helped him stand out among his peers. It would become Christopher's biggest hit, reaching number one on the R&B chart. His next album, 1992's Changes, produced more hits with “All I See”, “Every Little Thing U Do”, and a cover of the Teddy Pendergrass classic “Come Go With Me”. Changes would be followed up with Not a Perfect Man in 1995 and Real Men Do in 2001. Since then, he's been appearing in plays such as “Men Cry in the Dark”.
