The company plans its largest drilling campaign to date in 2025, with 60,000 meters of drilling fully funded by its US$40 million cash position. The newly discovered Ramp Zone has yielded impressive early results, including intercepts of 57 meters at 8.11 g/t gold equivalent (including 18 meters at 20 g/t) and 15 meters at 20 g/t gold equivalent. The zone is characterized by a "reduced" mineral assemblage with high-grade gold associated with bismuth and tellurium, a signature distinct from the upper portions of the deposit.A strategic advantage of the Ramp Zone is its location, starting approximately 1,000 meters below surface at the exact elevation where a future access tunnel would be constructed. This positioning enables gravity-assisted mining, potentially reducing operational costs by allowing ore to be dropped down shoots rather than hauled up by trucks. The project shows similarities to the adjacent Marmato mine owned by Aris Mining, which hosts 6.3 million ounces at 2.5 g/t gold. Early indications suggest the Ramp Zone could deliver higher grades due to favorable host rock characteristics and vein overprinting.CEO Ari Sussman envisions Guayabales becoming a major gold camp, with potential for multiple deposits across a 5x5km area. The company aims to define at least 10 million ounces of high-grade gold capable of producing over 400,000 ounces annually. Including the adjacent Marmato mine, Sussman sees potential for the broader area to ultimately host 30 million ounces of gold. The project benefits from its location in Colombia's mining-friendly coffee region, with access to inexpensive hydropower, skilled labor, and established infrastructure. The permitting process is streamlined, requiring only 10 months by law. While Collective Mining is positioning itself as a potential takeover target for major gold producers, the company is simultaneously preparing to develop the project independently if necessary. This includes advancing ESG initiatives and sustainability work to reduce lead time for any future development. The investment thesis is strengthened by the project's location in an emerging gold district, strong financial position, and experienced management team with a track record of success through Continental Gold. With the current scarcity of major gold discoveries globally, Collective Mining represents a significant opportunity in the gold sector.View Collective Mining's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/collective-miningSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

The discussion centered on their projects, strategy, and Sussman's perspectives on the mining industry. The conversation primarily focused on the Apollo project, which Collective Mining discovered in 2022. Sussman described a mineralized system measuring 600 by 400 meters and extending 1.2 kilometers vertically. Of particular interest is the high-grade mineralization identified from surface, including an oxide zone in the top 30 meters. Sussman highlighted initial metallurgical test work results, citing favorable recovery rates for multiple metals: 93-96% for gold, similar rates for copper, around 75% for silver, and 70% for tungsten. The project's location appears to be strategically advantageous, situated on elevated terrain near the Pan-American highway. Sussman suggested this could provide logistical benefits for potential future operations. While Apollo is the company's flagship project, Sussman also mentioned other prospects within their portfolio, including the Trap target and the Plutus target, described as a copper-gold porphyry prospect.Regarding the broader context of operating in Colombia, Sussman spoke positively about the country as a mining jurisdiction. He noted that environmental permits are typically processed within 10 months and highlighted the region's long history of mining activity. Community relations appear to be a priority for Collective Mining, with Sussman discussing their partnership with the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation. This alliance, according to Sussman, focuses on water management and promoting coexistence between agriculture and mining. The interview also touched on market considerations. Sussman acknowledged challenges faced by junior mining companies in the Canadian market and explained the company's decision to list on a U.S. exchange. He outlined Collective Mining's strategy, stating their goal to position the company for a potential acquisition within 3-4 years. This strategy involves targets such as defining a resource of 10+ million ounces gold equivalent and demonstrating production potential of 400,000 ounces per year or more.Sussman offered his perspective on current trends in the mining industry, including merger and acquisition activity among major companies. While much of the discussion focused on the potential of their projects, Sussman also acknowledged the risks inherent in mineral exploration and development. He mentioned challenges related to managing relationships with local small-scale miners and maintaining community support. This interview provides a window into Collective Mining's projects and strategy, as well as the Executive Chairman's views on the broader mining industry. It's important for viewers to note that the information presented reflects the company's perspective at the time of the interview. As with any mining exploration company, future results may differ from current expectations. For those interested in the mining sector, this interview offers one company's approach to mineral exploration in Colombia. Exploring French and American Oak Whiskey Jypsi's newest release - Explorer - seeks to show how the core identities of French and American oak species affect flavor in whiskey. They take the consumer on a world tour, stopping both in Eric Church's backyard (North Carolinian American white oak near to where Church grew up) and French oak from the Tronçais forest.  Neither wood is entirely new to American whiskey drinkers (especially white oak...it's what almost everyone uses as a new cask, right?), and French oak has been used enough to have a passing familiarity. The difference here is how Ari and the Whiskey Jypsi team use the wood - and, most importantly, the use of new French oak rather than ex-wine casks or other used cooperage. By toasting and charring staves and inserting them to finish the whiskey - using the entirety of the stave, not just the thin layer that's been charred on the inside of a cask - much more flavor is extracted.  Note: I said flavor. Not oakiness. For all the wood exploration in this release, woodiness and tannins are not among the explorations. And thank heavens for that.  The story is intriguing - blend the influence of Tronçais forest's wood, formerly overseen by the Duke of Bourbon and the origin point for the troubadour tradition, with American oak from the home of the country artist behind the blend. As a plus, at least in media kits, we got small pieces of each wood type to smell and see, a sensory experience that greatly helped me in discerning which note was from which wood.  Ultimately, though, it comes down to the product at hand. After all, anyone can write a good story - it takes skill to translate that through the art of blending into a good whiskey. Enter: Ari Sussman, frequent friend of the podcast and all-around good source of whiskey knowledge.  Thanks everyone for listening, and thank you to Ari for returning to the Whiskey Ring! _________________________________________________________ If you haven't joined the Patreon community yet, please consider doing so at patreon.com/whiskeyinmyweddingring If you haven't yet, please follow Whiskey in my Wedding Ring and the Whiskey Ring Podcast on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and subscribe to the newsletter on the website.  Whiskey JYPSI Whiskey JYPSI Website Whiskey JYPSI on Instagram Whiskey JYPSI on Facebook Whiskey JYPSI on Twitter Thanks to our Lead Sponsor, Black Button Distillery  Black Button Distilling Website Black Button Distilling on Facebook Black Button Distilling on Instagram

The company is advancing the Guayabales project where grassroots discoveries named Apollo and Olympus are evolving, and drilling new targets Trap, X & Tower, and Plutus.Drill results to date have been promising, with long intercepts of high-grade mineralization being returned from the discoveries over a 4.5 km trend that remains largely untested. At Olympus, the scale and grade of the mineralization point to the potential for a multi-million-ounce deposit in the making.Collective Mining is well-funded to aggressively unlock this potential after recently closing an upsized $18.9M financing with a strategic investor. These funds will be deployed into a 40,000-metre drill program in 2024, designed to demonstrate the scale of the porphyry system and identify the best locations for future infrastructure. The company is taking a district-scale approach before honing in on delineating a maiden resource estimate. The company also places a strong emphasis on sustainability and working proactively with local communities. Through partnerships with government agencies, Collective Mining has helped to train and graduate 280 women in various industries to foster a more diversified local economy. This approach not only de-risks the project from an ESG perspective but helps to lay the groundwork for obtaining the social license for future development. The company is now at an inflection point with the closing of the recent financing and commencement of the large-scale drill program. Investors can look forward to a steady flow of news and catalysts as drilling advances the three known discoveries and tests new high-priority targets. The strong treasury and backing of key shareholders allows Collective Mining to deliver on its plans without needing to return to market in the near-term.In conclusion, Collective Mining offers investors a unique opportunity to participate in the creation of value through exploration success. The combination of a well-funded aggressive drill program, prospective land package, experienced and aligned management team, and sustainability focus all point to the potential for the company to delineate a significant gold-copper deposit. Despite the challenging market conditions for junior explorers, Collective Mining has been able to attract capital and deliver results, which bodes well for the company's ability to execute its plans and create value for shareholders. With a modest market capitalization relative to the potential scale of the discovery at hand, Collective Mining is an attractive speculative investment for investors looking for exposure to the next big discovery.View Collective Mining's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/collective-miningSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Interview with Ari Sussman, Executive Chairman of Collective Mining Ltd.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/collective-mining-tsxcnl-advancing-district-scale-copper-gold-discovery-3932Recording date: 23rd November 2023Funded for Aggressive Drilling at High-Grade Apollo and Copper Targets in ColombiaCanadian junior explorer Collective Mining is actively drilling their Guayabales project in Colombia, aiming to expand the recently discovered Apollo gold-copper system and test new copper porphyry targets along trend. With a robust cash balance of $20M as of September 2023 and low $1M monthly burn rate, the company anticipates their exploration budget will fund up to 20 months of drilling activity. Significant assays pending from Apollo illustrate resource growth potential and visual mineralization has already expanded its strike length. In addition to Apollo follow-up, the focus is rigorously drill testing the Trap discovery showing comparable early indicators to Apollo such as thick mineralized intercepts, intense hydrothermal alteration and a known 1.5 km strike length. Assay results will inform immediate next steps and expansion drilling at Trap.Collective Mining's executive chairman Ari Sussman still sees extensive running room for new discoveries in Colombia and considers it one of the most promising global jurisdictions for explorers thanks to permitting taking just 10 months versus 12 years in the US.The company also continues generating and advancing grassroots targets across the wider project based on methodical data analysis, aiming to replicate the exploration success they had discovering and outlining Continental Gold's Buriticá deposit, the largest gold mine now operating in Colombia. With metals supply issues and rising demand due to global conflicts and energy transition requirements, Sussman believes now marks the critical time to continue aggressively exploring copper and precious metals projects. As markets eventually recover, funded front-runners like Collective Mining with active discovery drilling stand to emerge as consolidators.—View Collective Mining's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/collective-miningSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Interview with Ari Sussman, Executive Chairman of Collective MiningOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/collective-mining-cnl-previous-2b-sale-shows-way-for-new-venture-2880Recording date: 14th September 2023Collective Mining is focused on making large-scale copper-gold discoveries at its Guayabales project in Colombia. The company has intersected high-grade mineralizationstarting at surface, with impressive bulk tonnage potential. In a recent interview, Executive Chairman Ari Sussman explained why Collective's share price has strongly outperformed peers despite weak markets. The project contains a porphyry system overprinted by high-grade gold-silver veins, yielding exceptional grades over long intervals. Five of six initial targets have resulted in discoveries. With approximately $23 million in cash, Collective is fully funded for two years of drilling at its current pace. While additional rigs could accelerate the program, the company is taking a prudent approach given tight equity markets. The aim is to systematically test and expand the multiple zones at Guayabales.According to Sussman, the deposit shows all the hallmarks of a future mine based on drill results improving with depth and scale. Once the system is fully defined, the company will shift focus to infill drilling and formal economic studies.Given Sussman's track record of success in Colombia, including the $2 billion takeover of Continental Gold in 2020, Collective is positioned to create significant value at Guayabales. The company offers leverage to further high-grade results as drilling continues to delineate a potentially world-class copper-gold district. With approx. 45% insider ownership and minimal institutional presence, Collective has room to broaden its share registry over time. The current share price does not reflect the project's outstanding early potential. But systematic exploration and positive results could attract increasing investor interest in a recovering market.—View Collective Mining's Company Profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/collective-miningSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Purchase your sample kit here for the virtual private Riachi tasting by June 10th to ensure delivery!  _________________ Please welcome back returning guest Ari Sussman to talk about Whiskey JYPSI and Outsiders Spirits!  Heard of Eric Church? Maybe the Jack Daniel's Eric Church Single Barrel special release? Maybe you're just a fan of his music (though if you're listening to this podcast I kind of doubt you missed the Jack Daniel's release).  It was easy to brand that initial partnership as another celebrity slapping their name on a label to drive sales and publicity (though, I should note, I didn't think it was a bad release). There are so many whiskies and spirits like that nowadays it's hard to keep track. And trust me, I asked Ari about that.  But what if you had a celebrity who was also a true whiskey lover - one who wanted to do something truly new and different, even if it meant producing a whiskey without their name anywhere on the label?  That seems like what we have here. Whiskey JYPSI is, at its core, a cross-border international blend (itself an incredibly rare occurrence) that reaches back to the days of global giants like Schenley and Seagrams. Bending the 70/21/9 mashbill into a ratio of whiskies instead of a grain bill, this is something new and special, something that will be a marker in the industry.  And Eric Church's name isn't on anything but the press release.  I was skeptical, I admit, of whether they could pull this off, but I must say I'm impressed.  Listen for answers about creating a non-celebrity celebrity whiskey, blending across the border, and how to imbue the term "JYPSI" (or Gypsy/Romani) with a positive, non-derogatory respect.  ______________________________________________________ Before we jump into the interview just a few quick notes: The first WRP barrel pick is coming! Neil Giraldo was born in 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. Immersed in the culture of his beloved Sicilian ancestry, his parents Anthony and Angela Giraldo instilled the love of music at a young age, giving Neil his first guitar at the age of six, with the hopes that he and his sister, Priscilla, who played the accordion, could entertain family and friends with songs from the old country after church on Sundays. As Neil got older, his mentor, Uncle Tim, introduced him to revolutionary bands like The Yardbirds, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, and all the other great guitar-driven rock ‘n' roll bands of the 1960s. Finding new and innovative ways to shadow path his way into songs, Neil developed a discipline early on of not just playing along to his favorite artists but creating different parts for himself within those tracks. At the same time, the budding guitar artist also became proficient on piano by continuously practicing along to Chuck Berry (Johnnie Johnson), Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis records. His interest in percussion instruments soon followed, practicing the drums to Simon & Garfunkel albums he explored how different rhythms could alter the complexion of songs. These practices and disciplines created the foundation for his future success as an innovative record producer and musician. Giraldo began his professional career in 1978 as a key member of the Rick Derringer band after competing against 200 other guitarists for the position. It wasn't long before Rick discovered Giraldo's piano playing prowess and quickly put those skills to work in the studio for the recording Guitars and Women. In the spring of 1979, Mike Chapman introduced Giraldo to an up-and-coming singer named Pat Benatar who had recently signed to Chrysalis Records. While impressed with the young vocalist, Chapman felt she needed a musical partner who could facilitate the creation of a sound both identifiable and powerful. Over the years Neil has produced some of their biggest hits including “Love is a Battlefield” and “We Belong.” With a back catalog of more than 100 songs written and more than 45 million records sold, Giraldo has written, produced, arranged, and recorded for Pat Benatar, John Waite, Rick Springfield, Kenny Loggins, Steve Forbert, The Del Lords, Beth Hart, The Coors, and others, which include many Grammy-nominated and Grammy-winning hits. Today, Giraldo's career is as dynamic and diverse as ever. He is in the process of completing two books – one an autobiographical novel, one a motivational book on the psychology of creating. He is further expanding his Bel Chiasso entertainment company, which is developing a variety of television, film and Broadway theater projects. On May 16th 2016 Neil founded Three Chord Bourbon to celebrate creativity, community, and tradition by bringing together the award-winning musician and producer's love of whiskey and music with his passion for conversations with family and friends. Inspired by the simplicity yet infinite expressions of the three chord progression — the foundation of the blues — Neil collaborated with master blender and distiller, Ari Sussman, to bring together notes of a variety of bourbons and create a distinctive taste in whiskey that balances simplicity and complexity in perfect harmony. Neil has utilized this new platform to assist emerging musicians via Three Chord Musical Ambassador program.
