My talk with Eric Harburn of BOOM! Studios covers on his adventures at 2022's San Diego Comic-Con, specifically his first Hall H experience, which was a doozy. We discuss how Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, Ron Garney, and the rest of the creative team work together to get BRZRKR out. We also talk about the first moves on the development of Something Is Killing the Children, the reasons behind his promotion to executive editor, and not being frightened of ending a series when the time is right.

The month of July has come and gone, and as we look back on it we can say that it was a pretty strange and wild month across the board. But as the dog days of summer trek onward, so does this show, with plenty of big convention announcements and dub casts for the roll call of the season - and even some extra bits that show that Crunchyroll is just doing way, way, WAY too much for us to keep track of. There will also be some harsh and profane words spoken about a *certain* individual. Comic-Con has come and gone, how did yall feel about it, because Marvel came to play, while DC is still just trying to figure itself out? Star Trek laid on the nostalgia, and Keanu pulled no punches. Meanwhile, that KoToR Remake isn't coming out anytime soon.
Keanu Reeves' comic book BRZRKR is getting an anime adaptation. Alex questions if One Piece really will end in 3 years. Will One Punch Man season 3 really not having any Saitama. Jozy is reading the Konosuba light novels and is extremely impressed about how close the anime sticks to the source material. This and much more on todays episode.
Square Enix launches the English version of Manga Up, The Simpsons to parody Death Note, and Junji Ito wins the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards! Also, Bang Dream holds auditions for new band members, the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist sequel film drops next month, and Keanu Reeves' BRZRKR to be done by Production I.G! Meanwhile in Japan, a joke delays a flight for 50 minutes, the Crotch Cup raises awareness for groin itch, and a mangaka retires because he can't draw breasts anymore?! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/animejamsession/support

Probably best known for his work with Mark Waid on Captain America, Ron Garney couldn't be more different than the star spangled Sentinel of Liberty. He's a certified badass that had to wake up the day after our interview for some 5:00 Jujutsu. Maybe that's why his Hulk and Wolverine were among the most savage ever drawn. And perhaps that's why he was hand-chosen by Keanu Reeves to draw his first comic, BRZRKR. Ron even did some costume design illustration for major feature films like I Am Legend and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. The man's legit... and worth a listen. You can follow Ron on Instagram here, on Twitter here and Facebook here.________________________________________Check out a video version of this episode on our YouTube channel: youtube.com/dollarbinbandits.If you liked this podcast, please rate, review, and subscribe on Apple Podcasts. This week Ben falls victim to daylight savings. Ant thinks kids need to toughen up, but Steve admits he's allergic to weather. No such thing as seasons or moderate weather in New York. Google is hogging our podcast for themselves instead of putting it out for everyone on their platform. Steve makes a giant Brazilian coffee for the show and will undoubtedly be up all night. PG-13 Steve adds bitcoins to the virtual cursing jar and let's the guys know he bought stickers for everyone with Ethereum. Shout out Black Widow and Wonder Woman. RIP Biggie Smalls. The guys look at the photos sent in from the listeners of all the cereal flexes. It's National Pi Day! KFC isn't chicken and Subway can't legally call their bread, bread. Colonel Sanders was hiding while all the other chicken sangwiches duked it out. Anthony's movie voice makes Steve want Chick-fil-a on a Sunday. Dave Thomas would not approve the new jalapeño popper if he were still with us. What can you cook with Ben & Jerry's, a glade plugin, a package of markers and a lighter? Find out next time on Supermarket Stakeout! Potatoes are back at Taco Bell! Shout out LPG's! Bruh... Minari was an experience and the guys need to see it. Eggplant parm for everyone! Steve reviews Cherry aka the live action Spider-Verse. Avatar passes Endgame in all-time box office and Zoe Saldana keeps Marvel fans from rioting. Ben brokers a deal for Steve to watch Hamilton if he watches some classics in return. Zack Snyder's Justice League is upon us and Ben is getting HYPE! Batman has come a long way since having nipples. Ang Lee puts tigers on the map, opening the door for more opportunities in Hollywood. Ben is a big fan of the Rocky movies and Steve thinks the son should've taken his mothers last name. Shout out Creed 3! Netflix didn't have parents that taught them the importance of sharing and it shows. New TMNT game looks awesome and has reignited a fire in the guys hearts for old school arcade games. New Matrix movie coming out and the transition from the first three to the new one is welcomed. Keanu Reeves is half man half god in his new comic book BRZRKR. John Wick adjace. The guys are pulling for A-rod and JLO. Steve has an eventful 15 minutes when leaving the house. Ant treats himself to some Lululemon boxer briefs. Steve gets roasted and burnt to a crisp in this weeks Friendly Fire!
The Doctor and Picard meet again, for the first time! For real! We mean it! Also, we review James Bond: Agent of Spectre #1, Resident Alien: Your Ride is Here #4, Crimson Flower #2, and BRZRKR #1.
