Vingadores part 8. Spin-off. Desvio. Adendo.
Fred Davidson, President and CEO of Impact Silver (TSX.V:IPT – OTCQB:ISVLF), joins me to outline the key takeaways from the Q2 financial and operations, and provides an update on the current production and exploration upside at the Zacualpan Silver-Gold District, as well as the recently acquired Plomosas Zinc-Lead-Silver Mine in Chihuahua, Mexico. We kick things off with deeper dive into the Zacualpan Silver-Gold District where the Company has 4 underground mines and 1 open-pit mine all feeding into the Guadalupe processing plant. Fred outlines the flexibility that their operations team in turning on or off mines based on metals pricing trends, and that they've improved on the metallurgy and gold recoveries at their Alacran Mine, so they are now mining from it once again. Next we look into the ramping up of zinc, lead, and silver production from Plomosas Mine, and that most of substantial development and refurbishment work that was needed to upgrade the mine, and portable mining equipment and vehicles, has been completed. Fred outlines that at 14% zinc and 8% lead grades, Plomosas is one of the higher-grade zinc mines in operation, and in a sense, that carries the operations and they get all the silver for free. The Q2 numbers were a bit of a one-off quarter, in that now that they are producing they had to write down all the prior costs of refurbishment this period, but that there should be steady ramp up in revenues and cashflows in Q3 and Q4 with that now behind them. Overall revenue in Q2 2024 was $7.7 million, representing a significant 40% increase over Q2 2023 revenue of $5.5 million. Revenue in Q2 2024 includes $1.8 million from the Plomosas high-grade zinc mine up from $1.0 million in Q1 2024. The Plomosas high-grade zinc mine (acquired in April 2023) was brought online in late 2023 and therefore, year-over-year comparisons do not include any revenue or operating costs recorded in Q2 2023. Meanwhile, revenue at the Zacualpan silver-lead-zinc project increased to $5.9 million in Q2 2024 from $5.4 in Q2 2023 despite lower production on a year-over-year basis, owing mostly to stronger silver prices. After recapping the current operations we discussed the 20,000 meters drilled in the first half the year, with about the same amount planned for the second half of the year. Fred discusses the exploration upside and the growth potential at both the Zacualpan Silver-Gold District and Plomosas Zinc-Lead-Silver District. Additionally, Fred recaps some new targets around Carlos Pacheco and some deeper copper – gold district targets that they'll be exploring further out into next year. If you have any follow up questions for Fred about Impact Silver then please email me at Shad@kereport.com. In full disclosure, Shad is a shareholder of Impact Silver at the time of this recording. Click here to visit the Impact Silver website and read over the recent news out of the Company.

Explosive change is in the air in Excalibur #98! CORRECTION: Will keeps saying 'Madame Ape' which is very wrong -- he should have said 'Ape X.' Three more Squadron Supreme issues, and it's growing on the 'sops. There's a brainwashing machine in play and it's giving the Squadron some Clockwork Orange creepiness. We like. Plus there's guilt and death and betrayal and just to keep things interesting, another 10 or so characters added. We like these more than we did the first three, maybe because the exposition is finished? Plus we grieve the recent deaths of comics greats Kevin O'Neill, Carlos Pacheco and Kevin Conroy (voice of Batman in BTAS and ... everything). On this week's episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!: We are so excited to be able to share our interview with comic creator Richard Pace. If you visited the Hero Initiative table at Planet Comicon last spring, you would have had the chance to meet Richard. We were delighted to be his hosts that weekend, and are more delighted to have him sit in with us to talk about comics. We were nearly 20 minutes into our conversation before we figured we should press RECORD so we could let you in on the wonderful conversation. Between last week's podcast recording and the recording of this episode, the comic industry was hit hard with the loss of three titans - artists Kevin O'Neill and Carlos Pacheco, and voice actor Kevin Conroy. If any of their creative work ever inspired or moved you, consider dropping a buck into the next Hero Initiative bucket you see. We didn't forget to watch Andor this week! We just ran out of time to talk about it. We'll catch up with the two episodes, plus we might have some thoughts to share about the new Black Panther movie. As always, we have our Pick 3 choices sponsored by our friends at Clint's Comics. We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you've been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or by email. We want to hear from you! As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show. The Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! is proudly sponsored by Clint's Comics. Clint's is located at 3941 Main in Kansas City, Missouri, and is open Monday through Saturday. Whether it is new comics, trade paperbacks, action figures, statues, posters, or T-shirts, the friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you find whatever it is that you need. You should also know that Clint's Comics has the most extensive collection of back issues in the metro area. If you need to find a particular book to finish the run of a title, head on down to Clint's or check out their website at clintscomics.com. Tell them that the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! sent you.
Episode 20 - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Movie Review This week we both took a trip out to our local theaters, and saw Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on its record-breaking opening weekend. Few sequels have ever faced so daunting a challenge as this film, as the loss of Chadwick Boseman to cancer two years ago left a hole that for a long time it seemed would be impossible to continue on without. How did they do, both in terms of honoring Boseman and in terms of making a movie worthy of his memory. We'll talk about it, the short answer is pretty well. Pretty damn well indeed. This week on The World’s Greatest Comic Book Podcast™, we remember Leslie Phillips, Garry Roberts, Kevin O’Neill, Carlos Pacheco, Gallagher, and Kevin Conroy. All Jon and Steven want to do is talk about "Wakanda Forever". But losing the voice of Batman and celebrated artist Carlos Pacheco in the same week took precedence. They discuss how "Batman: the Animated Series" did everything right and set the template for four additional series over the next 15 years, how the Arkham video games extended Kevin's take on the Dark Knight for a new generation and how his acting on a Saturday morning cartoon showed more range and subtlety than most Hollywood blockbuster takes on the character. Plus, how Pacheco's art was always a welcome surprise on any Marvel or DC character and yes, some discussion on the second Black Panther movie. [EP305]
