We start with a quick report from a local nerd convention, where Kevin met up with some heroes of 1970s kids TV: Our old friends Wesley Eure and Kathy Coleman from Land of the Lost, our new friends Doug and Emmy Jo from The New Zoo Revue... and the legendary Sid Krofft. (We're still sort of freaking out about that last one...) Then Kevin and the Mayor of Chickentown look at the prime time TV shows that debuted half a century ago, in the year 1974. It's a short list (there were just three networks, kids), but it includes some long-running classics like Happy Days, Good Times, Little House on the Prairie, and Rockford Files. It also includes some short-lived shows that few remember, even if their casts included future stars like Jodie Foster, Penny Marshall, and Mark Hamill. And if you're looking for a show about Swedish immigrants in 1850s Minnesota starring Kurt Russell, the android from Logan's Run, and Bobby Brady's brother... we've got you covered there too. The Idol is the worst, Sami Sheen: Sex Worker, Drew Crime: Michigan version, Demi Lovato's pronouns, Gen Z is ruining concerts, NCAA's "Hot Girl" problem, and KISS Meets Phantom of the Park. Drew leads us off with an unusual topic... The Beatles. Thanks to AI for all the help. TMZ Live is worse (and more watchable) without Harvey and "Gary Dell'Abate". Kendall Jenner decided to wear basically nothing while dining with Hailey Bieber and Lori Harvey. Drew wants to go to dinner with dudes' dongs hanging out. Max's The Idol is a terrible show. There was a line in the last episode that is so bad Drew won't even repeat it. Lily-Rose Depp can't stop making out with her girlfriend that is named 070 Shake. Janelle Monáe is using her massive boobs again to sell her album. Good move! Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen's daughter is on OnlyFans. She claims she's a "sex worker", but she doesn't have sex or show her nipples. Michigan insurance costs are going up even though certain politicians told us they would go down. Sports: Jane Doe #4 & #5 accuse pitcher Trevor Bauer of sexual assault. The Detroit Tigers still suck. Why does Sammy Sosa look different? Drew Crime: We learn of the true crime Michigan story of Jenny Webb. What is Kevin Adell doing with a water tower? And why does Trudi still have a miniature version of it? Gen Z is killing the concert industry by not buying booze. Taylor Swift finally saw what Drew did in Matty Healy. Serena Williams' 5-year-old daughter owns multiple sports teams. The pronouns Demi Lovato made us use for her got exhausting... for HER... because of us. Ezra Miller walked the red carpet like a superhero. Politricks: Hillary Clinton still won't go away as she breaks her silence about Donald Trump's indictment. Jake Tapper did not want to see b-roll of people singing Happy Birthday to Trump at a restaurant. The Rattletrap was nowhere to be found. Ryan Seacrest may replace Pat Sajak as host of Wheel of Fortune. A 63-year-old driver in Argentina had the worst driving test score possibly ever. Marc watches When Elevators and Escalators Attack... but only likes the Escalator parts. Columbian children are tougher than you, but their airplanes are terrible. The NCAA has a "hot girl problem". Starring the Cavinder Twins. US Olympian Tori Bowie was afraid of hospitals and died during childbirth at home. The Starbucks regional manager that was fired after non-paying customers tried using a bathroom has won $25M. Despite being married to a billionaire, Elizabeth Holmes will not be able to afford $250/month in restitution when she is released from prison. Joe Biden doesn't want to discuss the Ukraine and China deals of the past. The Big Guy says it's malarkey. A Bonerliner sent along this scene from KISS Meets Phantom of the Park. We check with Gordon G. G. Gebert on the film and it's reception. We re-live when Joe Namath tossed a touchdown to Bobby Brady. Following the sad news of the recent passing of actor and stuntman George Wilbur, who portrayed Michael Myers in both HALLOWEEN 4 and HALLOWEEN 6, My Haunted Head takes a look at HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS. The film was a return to form and gave long-suffering Halloween fans what they wanted - the continuation of the Myers/Loomis/Strode storyline. How well does the film stand up to the previous Halloween films? What happened to Laurie Strode? What does TV's Bobby Brady have to do with Halloween? Just in time for the 20th anniversary of HERE COMES THE ZOO — we finally convince former Local H (and Triplefastaction) drummer Brian St. Clair to do the show. On this episode we talk to the bird-watching legend about recording with Jack Douglas, Bobby Brady, the correct way to pronounce Cheap Trick, Rod Stewart's dick pics, selling Misfits records to Gabe, the break up of Triplefast, being one of the best drummers to ever come out of Chicago, and Brian comes clean about the great Rights Of The Accused poop mystery.
What do one 72 two 75's two 76's and one 79 have in common? They are the release years of the six movies we are reviewing today. Starting off today professor McGonagall and Chappy from iron eagle star in (Travels with my Aunt 1972.) This is directed by the mighty George Cukor, and I don't really know what to say about this except that it belongs on any classic 70's movie shelf. Let's just say that a dull branch manager finds out that his Aunt is super rad, and that of course Maggie Smith rules. Next up Glenda Jackson and Susannah York role play as a defense mechanism to deal with their oppressive employer in (Maids 1975) Whoa Sussannah was the lead in Images 1972 with Odo from DS9, probably should of mentioned that in the pod, oh well, we try. Moving on we have (The naked civil servant.) Here we have the wand maker Ollivander playing rad writer Quentin quisp. Quisp was OUT in the extremely dark times, film is great, see it now, and see us if you can't get a copy. Also the guy who objects about the size of the exhaust port in Star Wars is in this as well as Gimli the Dwarf. Next is (The mighty Bluebird 1976.) Here we have Cukor directing again, but it's rather weird, we try to figure it out but I don't know if we do. We ain't classic movie historians (bless them) but we do our best. This adaptation of a French fairy tale has Jane Fonda, Cicely Tyson, Elizabeth Taylor, and Bobby Brady's brother. It should be way better than it is. It is very trippy. Onto The (7 percent solution 1976) guess this one's a bit forgettable since I forgot I'd seen it. Some weird stuff here where Sherlock and frued team up to fight crime and do drugs. Robert Duvall, Alan Arkin and an under used Vanessa Redgrave are here in this. Tell us what you think? Finally today we review Sydney Pollack's (The electric horseman 1979) I remember being intrigued as kid by the electric part, in a hungry for sci fi, just post Star Wars world, but the electric part is more than a bit of a letdown. Adult me has a different take on this Redford and Fonda looking great in tight jeans gem. Want to know more, just press play. Thanks for listening. Tell your friends.

Bobby Brady graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 34. The power of modern computers has always fascinated me. From the old desktops I used in elementary school, to the powerful handheld smart phones of today; computers truly are magical. I first experienced writing code while in the US Navy. While simple, the code my platoon wrote helped guide Unmanned Underwater Vehicles to locate mines in the ocean. The power of this technology had me asking questions and the Nashville Software School has been there to provide answers. I look forward to my career as a Software Developer.
We’re celebrating the holidays and closing out 2019 with one of our all-time favorite Christmas specials: A Very Brady Christmas, a 1988 TV movie that reunited all of the original cast that matters. If you’ve seen this special, you may be wondering what’s gay about this family holiday outing. Some stuff, we say, but perhaps most subtly the use of racecar-driving as a metaphor for Bobby Brady’s reckless homosexual lifestyle. Just go with us on this one. If you like “Kahnversations,” please leave a rating or review on our iTunes page! __________________________________ So many inspiring podcasts out there allow us to hear all about how well-established stars got to where they are today. But those actors are so faaaaaaar away from where so many of us are today! Wouldn’t it be great to hear from the guy who just booked his first pilot? Or the kid finally doing a studio pic after a bunch of low budget indies? Or the woman who’s been a series regular a few times but is only now becoming a name? What about the guy who’s been on a show for years and you know his face but what’shisnameagain? Or that actress who is now a freakin’ showrunner???? How’d THEY do it, right? How did they transition from relative obscurity, bartending and bottle service, to buying that house in the hills? We’re producing “Kahnversations,” a podcast that provides access to THOSE people -- your immediate predecessors -- so that you can learn from them while their battle scars are still fresh. In “Kahnversations,” our own Ryan Bailey interviews some of Lesly Kahn & Company’s working actors, directors, and writers in order to learn how they got started in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds. (They also dish out some crazy stories!) Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their paths, processes, and experiences. You might even hear a bit about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers.
