The script has often looked the same for the Giants- get down early, stay the course, make adjustments and out chess the opposition. The defense shutout Aaron Rodgers in the second half. More injuries were sustained but when it mattered most players like Xavier McKinney and Kayvon Thibodeaux stepped up. Shaun is now ready to fully commit to a 10 win team while Paul will wait with bated breath to see if this game goes down as benchmark moment in the Joe Schoen/Brian Daboll era. Les, Kurt, and Jason are back after an extended break of dealing with many personal and professional ups and downs. But to make it up to the faithful listeners, the guys decided to jump back into the grind with a very special BONUS episode about Jackee, the 1989 pilot for a spinoff of 227! But first, the guys debate whether it's Evan possible that Blac Chyna earned 240 million last year on OnlyFans. Then it's time to watch the pilot (at 1.25 speed for Jason!). Sure, Sandra is more likable since she's running an Italian restaurant out of her apartment, but it sucks that her new job working in the porn industry is cut short so she can work at a combination gym and nail salon (these are actual details!). With a wardrobe from Chess King, a surly receptionist, and a cameo from Pearl, it's a wonder that this wasn't picked up to series!   Facebook : lifetimeofhallmark Instagram : lifetimeofhallmarkpodcast Theme song generously donated by purple-planet.com

I first met Joe, or as we call him "D", in the Fall of 2003 at the Mill Pond School. Joe was the in-house room supervisor at the time and quickly became a mentor to me at the Mill Pond School due to his ability to connect with and lead the youths we worked with. Joe shares his incredible story from being a youth/young adult who experienced challenges to becoming an adult who is advocating, leading, and inspiring youths in communities throughout Springfield, MA. 00:00: Episode Introduction and "Roll Call" Joe discusses the leadership challenges brought on by the pandemic; focusing on balancing work, distance learning, and family. Joe also shares the tremendous impact that Ed Tharion has had on him during a formative time in his life. Joe discusses the importance of leading "in the trenches" vs. leading from the safety of "a bubble". "I'm going to give you as much love as you need, but I'm going to provide the structure that you need as well." 33:45: From "Latchkey Kid" to Leader Joe shares stories from challenges he faced as a youth/young adult in Springfield and how those challenges shaped who he is today as a leader and as a person. We learn about how experiences at the Mill Pond School helped Joe mature into a community leader who is passionate about helping youths, young adults, and adults overcome and thrive! "To panic during chaos, does not make it better!" 54:54: "Steel Sharpens Steel" - Community Leadership in Action Joe discusses community initiatives that he has led; including the "Walking School Bus" for Springfield youths, Fitness Training for young adults/adults, and his Sunday Afternoon Men's Group - Steel Sharpens Steel "If you don't empty the trash can, it will empty itself" - It is important for men to find an outlet so negative emotions/feelings/experiences aren't buried. 74:15: "Finish the Drill" and Episode Closure We wrap up the episode with some rapid fire/rapid response questions with Joe. My guest today is an active participant in the Cool Retired Women’s Club private Facebook group! She is from Canada and currently lives in California with her husband, Daniel. Linda Green Dupre has created an active and involved life since retiring…she wrote a book titled A Rescued Journey, has hosted a radio show, and now works with her husband in an after-school program for young kids called Chess King. An intro to her book identifies her mindset.  She wrote: Let's face it, in this life, each and every one of us, you included, will suffer hardships. However, hardships do not define you. It's how you deal with them when you are going through them, how you recover, and how you can move past them and help others that's important.  I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment …our attitude is our choice.  We each face hardships and our choice is to build a condo in victimhood, or choose to find the Good in the experience and move forward in a happy, joyful life! During this interview, Linda exclaimed, “RETIRED?!?!? That’s not me!” I think you’ll agree, she is much too young-minded, active, enthusiastic and motivated to accept any old-fashioned idea of retirement.  This woman is re-fired! Chris Cuomo (@ChrisCuomo) grew up in the political and media crossfire. He knows how to mix it up with the world’s most powerful people in politics and media. And in the last week, the Emmy-award-winning journalist has found himself in the middle of the headlines like never before. The controversial host of CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time and SiriusXM’s Let’s Get After It sat down exclusively with Paul Rieckhoff (@PaulRieckhoff) for an extended interview about the state of affairs in America, the White House assaults on the media, Trump’s attacks on him personally, and the recent incident that dominated headlines worldwide. (48:40) Chris was a co-anchor of 20/20 and an anchor on Good Morning America. But he’s really breaking news journalist. He’s not just an anchor behind a desk. He’s the kind of guy that gets out into the field. With the people. Chris has been all around the world, covering the biggest and toughest stories from Iraq and Afghanistan to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. And Cuomo talks candidly about the last few weeks under the media microscope and in the nasty crosshairs of Trump’s Twitter account. He also shares stories of his Italian-American upbringing, parenthood, fishing, fitness and his very first car (it’s unforgettable one). Chris Cuomo is a guy millions know from TV. But he’s also a father of three, a man of faith, and a dude who loves sports and working out. This episode will reveal a personal side of the Chris Cuomo that you’ve never heard before. And Paul Rieckhoff does what he does best. Asking probing questions of his guests and framing up the big picture of what’s happening in America. And ripping through the most important stories you may have missed or need to know more about. The Army veteran and renowned activist examines how Trump’s tone has become insidiously invasive and contagious. And how on the one-year anniversary of Senator John McCain’s death, that toxic tone is in direct contrast with leaders like John McCain, George Washington and Stephen Colbert. Rieckhoff also explores the violent and breaking news out of Afghanistan, digs into a tragic political fight that’s hurting Gold Star families, and rips into why a focus on Greenland is sucking attention away from the American Marine veteran and journalist, Austin Tice, who was taken prisoner in Syria 7 years ago this month. And with football season coming soon, Rieckhoff analyzes the political importance of Vince McMahon’s new XFL football league. It’s a news-making episode of Angry Americans that is possible with help from our friends at Mizzen+Main (@MizzenAndMain). Mizzen+Main is an American company from Texas that makes the most comfortable dress shirts on Earth. Made from performance fabrics, these are shirts every man in America should have. When GamerDude was growing up, there was no internet to "hang out" on, or to shop on, or to meet people on. The "hang out" was the shopping mall.  Shopping malls popped up all across the country and, as it turns out, had many of the same stores coast-to-coast. GamerDude talks about the main stores he remembers, from the large "anchor" stores like Sears, JC Penney, and Macy's, to the smaller chains.  The malls had clothing stores, like Casual Corner and Chess King, and shoe stores, like Kinney and Thom McAn. You could find books at B. Dalton and Waldenbooks, and electronics and software at Electronics Boutique and Software Etc.  Before Yankee Candle, there was Wicks and Sticks, and through it all, Spencer's Gifts is still around.  GamerDude also talks about the food court, where you could find Hot Sam's pretzels and Hickory Farm and the deliciousness of Orange Julius. And, he remembers the relative "fanciness" of The Ground Round. He also remembers the arcades; malls, both big and small, had arcades for the kids to hang out in, and the larger arcades would get the new release games before anyone else. It was the mall arcades where you could find the large, sit-down versions of games like Star Wars and pilot your own X-Wing fighter.  GamerDude remembers what it was like to hang out in the arcade with friends, or to walk through the mall with a date. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know someone, and one that is lost to the way the world has changed.

Dan Rossetti is the President of Prodigy Sports Recruiting, and an expert in what it takes to get hired in the sports industry. Check out this episode and learn what it takes to stand out to employers for sports jobs.Hi everybody, I'm Brian Clapp Director of Content for WorkinSports.com and this is the Work in Sports podcast. When I was younger I had this idea about being discovered. You read these clickbait stories of famous people being discovered just walking around town. Ashton Kutcher was ambling through the mall in Iowa when a talent scout discovered him.Jennifer Lawrence was walking with her family in Union square while vacationing in New York and a talent scout discovered her. When I was young I thought of these moments a lot… like my time was coming, I'd be discovered soon.Truth is I was kind of chubby, kind of short and had a lot of freckles and braces.I mean, back then I was… now I'm tall and strapping…back then I was chubby. The point is, I was consumed by this idea of something great happening TO me, just by being somewhere. The lottery ticket of life was going to be bestowed upon me as I walked through Chess King at the Leominster Mall, picking out some horrendous outfit, or at least looking significantly intrigued as if I was playing a role to some camera that didn't exist. You day dream and think someone may be watching… right now… time for Blue Steel! You laugh, because you did, or still do the same thing. We all do.People do this with their careers too. I'll be discovered after college, by someone great doing something I deserve to do and they'll pay me, LOTS!In the early months of this podcast I had on sports recruiter Dan Rosetti, Dan is incredible, he is the President of Prodigy Sports Recruiting and one of the true greats in this industry along with his co-workers Mark Gress and Scott Carmichael. But here's what happened when I released that episode – I was flooded, and I imagine Dan was too – with requests of people who wanted Dan to find them a job. It didn't matter what the job was, or what their skills were…they just wanted Dan to discover them.Sorry people, that's not how the world works. You need a plan. You need a skill set. You need to build your brand. You need experience. Then someone like Dan can take you to another level. He can't make you desirable to employers, that's on you…only you can do that. Here's the other thing that happened during that interview – Dan dropped some incredible knowledge and insight about what makes people successful in their sports careers and he would know better than anyone. So let's go back in time and listen to Dan Rossetti, president of Prodigy sports and one of the most insightful people in the industry.
