In deze aflevering bespreekt Mark de gezellige sitcom Who's the Boss?. ¿Què Pasa, New York? Mornings, on WXTV, Univision 41, Nueva York! But also, that's a refrain from arguably the most commercially viable song from John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band's “Some Time In New York City”. So why wasn't the semi-title track a single? Why didn't it lead off the album; not enough racial epithets in the title? And who in the love of Danza decided “Angela” - a heart-wrenching tribute to Judith Light - belongs on ANY Lennon comp? So many preguntas! Què Pasa, indeed! Fortunately/Maybe (#Oasisish) it's time for part two of the highly anticipated CHICAGO STYLE deep-dish of one of the most derided solo Beatles albums this side of “The Family Way” soundtrack! And as if this 2LP set isn't long enough - the Giles Martin deluxe remix is slated to include the full 117 minute version of “Au” - the UBP's very own Cap'n Jamrag and Lt. Scumbag (#PossibleForestGumpReference), to answer these, and more!
Chicago's own Amy Landecker called in on September 22, 2017 to talk about an all-new season (season 4) of her critically-acclaimed and Emmy-Award winning Amazon Prime series Transparent.ABOUT AMY LANDECKERLandecker is best known for playing the first-born child in Transparent, Amazon Video's groundbreaking series about a transgender woman and her chaotic yet lovable family. She stars opposite Jeffrey Tambor, Jay Duplass, Judith Light and Gaby Hoffman. Additionally, Landecker made her directorial debut on Transparent: The Lost Sessions, a 10-episode off shoot of comedic shorts for Funny or Die using Soloway's world of Pfeffermans and the cast of characters surrounding the often dysfunctional family.Transparent‘s fourth season takes the Pfefferman family on a “spiritual and political journey as they dig deep into their family's history.” That includes a trip to Israel, where Maura is chosen to speak at a conference and makes a “startling discovery.”On the big screen, Landecker has completed production on A Kid Like Jake, an independent drama also starring Claire Danes and Jim Parsons, which is based on a celebrated Lincoln Center play about a couple trying to raise a 4-year-old-son who prefers to dress up as a princess instead of G.I. Joe. She most recently appeared opposite Salma Hayek and John Lithgow in Beatriz At Dinner.
Even though this delicious film came out seven months ago, somehow Kelly did not get spoiled on the actual meat of “The Menu.” And, don't worry, we won't spoil you here. But we do spoil you in this episode!Anya Taylor-Joy is delightful as pretentious foodie Nicholas Hoult's “dinner date.” Ralph Fiennes shines as Chef Slowik as he prepares his best dish ever. Not the one you expect.Judith Light and Reed Birney are totally wrong about the fish. John Leguizamo as the movie should have made a better movie. And Hong Chau is superb as Elsa. We're down for the milk snow. Maybe not for the algae. And definitely not for the s'mores. Weird, right? When Judith Light became an actor, she swore she'd never do a soap opera or a sitcom. She didn't see it as serious acting. But her roles as Karen Wolek on the soap One Life to Live and Angela Bower on the sitcom Who's the Boss? forever changed her views on those genres, and made her a star. In this episode, she tells Guy how, after early success on TV, she struggled to find her way back on to the stage. She also discusses how she learned to believe in her abilities, leading to several Emmy and Tony Award winning performances.Links from the show:"One Life to Live" courtroom sceneJudith as Angela Bower in "Who's the Boss"Judith winning a Tony Award for "The Assembled Parties"Judith as Marie LombardiHand in My Pocket from "Transparent"See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
