Shaun joins the show to assist in the deep dive into Jackson mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba's campaign finance reports, we stayed up late last night going through who all the donors were, how they potentially benefitted from their campaign donations and much, much more. Kingfish even calls in later in the 2nd hour to discuss his thoughts on this topic and the disaster going on at Thalia Mara Hall.
Let's take a look at Chokwe Antar Lumumba's campaign finance reports and look at all the alleged corruption and expose him for taking $25,000 from an "accused/alleged" racist (we got the receipts), we report you decide!!
State Rep. Fred Shanks & my regular co-host Shaun Yurtkuran join the show today as we discuss a new bill Fred is getting ready to introduce that would force elected officials to temporarily step down (with pay) if they've been charged with a felony in conjunction with the use of their office. This is in response to Hinds County D.A Jody Owens being the alleged ring leader in a massive corruption and bribery scandal with Jackson mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba and multiple city council members, lobbyist and more. We also discussed school choice and more.
Jackson's Mayor, Chokwe Antar Lumumba, indicted on federal corruption charges and revisiting the various ways Donald John's businesses raked in $2.4 billion during his first four years as President as he is poised to repeat the process, with even more hotels being utilized for the process of mass deportations.
We open up the show with a sad story about me running over a black cat on hey 49 on the way to the radio station this morning, this some how led to us discussing old TV Land style television shows for the first 20 minutes of the show. We then pivoted to discussing the Menendez Brothers potentially getting released from prison after new evidence suggest that they were sexually abused by their father and that is what led them to killing their parents back in 1989. They have been in prison for 34 years!! We ended up discussing term limits in Mississippi after I mentioned that I voted for Jennifer Branning for supreme court justice and one of the main reasons why is it's time to retire some of these old, lifelong politicians like Jim Kitchens. We have a major update on the potential indictments dropping on Chokwe Antar Lumumba, Jody Owens & Aaron Banks over the convention center hotel drama. We closed out the show discussing Kamala Harris's disaster of a town hall on CNN
Jackson, Mississippi mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba blame the state of Mississippi for the city of Jackson losing Costco & Topgolf locations to the city of Ridgeland, which is absolutely false and as comical as anything he's ever said
Jackson mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba says the city will start arresting and perp walking litter bugs
1. Jackson, Mississippi had 3 mass shootings in less than 24 hours with a total of 12 people being shot including a 16 years old, a 8 year old and a man killed. Why is there little to no media coverage of this, could it be because the shooters weren't white? 2. Lindsey Beckham with Mom's For Liberty calls in to discuss some important legislation that will die if it doesn't come out of committee today. 3. Jackson mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba says the city will start arresting and perp walking litter bugs 4. Joe Biden denies making Easter Sunday share the day with Transgender day of visibility, even though the white house released a proclamation with his name all over it. 5. Left-wing nut jobs on X tried to start a hashtag last night called "TrumpIsHiding because he didn't post on Truth social for a few hours. So let me get this straight, when he talk they hate him, when he doesn't talk they also hate him? We play a sound bite of the msm claiming "The walls are closing in" on him dating back to 2015.
Former Jackson Police Department top cop & Clinton P.D. Detective Anthony Fox's manslaughter verdict has been overturned and there will NOT be a new trial. Anthony is a free man despite the Hinds County D.A. (Jody Owens), Jackson, Mississippi mayor (Chokwe Antar Lumumba) as well as the entire corrupt "Free The Land" industrial complex being against him. I also breakdown the double homicide that happened in Brandon, Ms. Tuesday morning. It's now been confirmed as a drive-by shooting and is the third homicide in the last 3 days in Brandon.
Ep #625 Of The Clay Edwards Show On 103.9 WYAB (10/30/23) 1. Bud Light and The UFC have teamed up in a 6-7 year $100 million dollar deal for Bud Light to the official beer sponsor of the UFC. Some folks on out side think it's UFC bending the knee to lefties and I couldn't disagree more! 2. We discuss the outbreaks of fights at Madison Central High School (and some others) here lately, what's the cause and is it as bad it sounds? 3. We take a look at the story of a 24 year old, smoking hot school teacher being arrested for making a 16 year old male student's dreams come true. Why is there a double standard on this topic? I know if the roles were reversed we'd all be mad as hell but when it's a boy student we all tend to laugh at it. 5. Apparently the city of Jackson can't pay it's bills, we speculate on the reasons why. 6. Black southern mayors like Latoya Cantrell in New Orleans and Chokwe Antar Lumumba in Jackson use a lot of police for their personal security at the expense of the citizens in these areas own safety and at a high cost to the city. Meanwhile they want to replace real cops with social workers for our protection and not their own. Check out my website at Www.ClayEdwardsShow.Com for all things Clay

Ep #552 Of The Clay Edwards Show On 103.9 WYAB (07/13/23) The first few minutes of the show today was me kinda rambling till I found what I was looking for, then I think it turned into one of the best show's I've ever done without a guest or co-host. 1. Did you know that if you're into fitness and being in good shape, train for MMA, lift weights, etc. that you're now considered a far-right extremist according to MSNBC 2. Men follow other men they either fear or look up to, men don't respect men they don't fear or look up to!! 3. Discipline will take you way farther in life than motivation 4. We discuss some Jackson, Mississippi drama with an AXE by a burglar he tried to stop from breaking into a South Jackson church on Terry Rd. Also, a 17 year old kid kills a 32 year old man in South Jackson last night, we break that down and I give my thoughts on it all. 5. After the Mississippi A.G. Lynn Fitch pimp slapped Hinds County D.A. Jody Owens Monday afternoon with it's brief in the Anthony Fox appeal case he files a brief of his own angrily disagreeing with her. Combine that w/ federal Judge Wingate equally pimp slapping the Jackson, Mississippi mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba over the JXN water debacle and then the mayor, city council and paid agitators that came to his courtroom for the emergency hearing on the matter it's safe to say that the evil cabal of criminals that have been running Hinds County & Jackson for the last few years time could be coming to an end. Ep #550 Of The Clay Edwards Show W/ Therese Apel On 103.9 WYAB (07/11/23) 1. Former Jackson Police Officer Anthony Fox got a HUGE victory on his appeal when the state A.G. released a recommendation that his guilty verdict should be reversed and thrown out because there was never any evidence that suggest he was guilty. This is a massive victory for him and a huge and frankly, an embarrassing defeat for Hinds County D.A. Jody Owens, his staff and the Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi (Chokwe Antar Lumumba) 2. Speaking of embarrassing defeats and the mayor of Jackson, Chokwe Antar Lumumba was pimp slapped by federal court judge Henry Wingate over the Jackson water situation. He was told to basically sit down and shut up and that he would not have any say so over which contractors were selected to fix Jackson's water infrastructure. 2.8.2023 #RolandMartinUnfiltered: Miss. GOP want to take over Jackson; Tucker Carlson hates diverse Biden judges;BC-U names head coach The Republican-controlled Mississippi House passed a bill to create a new court district in part of the capital city of Jackson with judges who would be appointed rather than elected. So yes, a primarily white entity will appoint judges for one of the blackest cities in America. Jackson's mayor, Chokwe Antar Lumumba, is here to explain how this will affect his community. Republicans are having a fit over Biden's judicial appointments. Some believe Biden is discriminating against those who do not vote for Democrats. We'll recap last night's State of the Union with New York Representative Yvette Clarke. I'll get her thoughts on what Biden said about police reform, medicare, social security and big pharma. Water pressure was restored this Monday to the city of Jackson, Mississippi — but that doesn't mean the water from the taps is drinkable. The tap water is swimming with contaminants, putting the city under a "boil water" notice since late July. The city's crisis of crumbling infrastructure caused by decades of underfunding could also take decades to address. We check in with Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba on how the city is recovering and what's next for its residents.
NOTE: During this interview, Melissa Harris-Perry asked Mayor Lumumba about lead levels that have been documented in the city's water in recent years. Lumumba answered, saying “no, the tests that have registered are tests that have seen high turbidity in the water.” While it is true that the City's water has been found to have elevated turbidity (cloudiness or lack of clarity), tests have also shown that the water contains detectable levels of lead. The Takeaway reached out to the mayor's office to clarify and we will update this page when we get a response.
Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with Bill Barr saying in a stunning interview that Donald Trump probably committed a serious crime. Joy and her panel discuss how today we learned much more about the many classified documents Trump stole and stashed at Mar-a-Lago. Plus, we revisit President Biden's searing and completely accurate warning about the threat posed by Trump and his violent, election-denying followers in the president's prime time Thursday speech. Next, the mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, Chokwe Antar Lumumba, joins us on day five of a national disgrace--the state capital where the water is not safe to drink, and citizens are being advised to keep their mouths closed when taking a shower. Finally, Joy and her guests agree: Serena Williams won the week! All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
9.1.2022 #RolandMartinUnfiltered: Jackson Water Crisis, $325M lawsuit against AT&T, BLM's Future, Blacks & Racism, Jamarion Robinson The water crisis in Mississippi's state capitol continues. Tonight, Roland talks to Chokwe Antar Lumumba, the mayor of Jackson, to find out how much longer the city will be with little to no water. Jamarion Robinson was shot at least 59 times by two Georgia officers in 2016. His mother's initial lawsuit got thrown out. But a federal appeals court ruled a lawsuit against the officers who killed him could move forward because sovereign immunity did not extend to shooting an unconscious suspect. Jamarion's mother and her attorney will give us an update. AT&T gets hit with a $325 million lawsuit by a Georgia businessman who accuses the media company of stealing his business plan. We'll talk to the two black men who are taking on AT&T. Black Lives Matter Grassroots is looking toward the future. I'll be speaking with one of the organization's leaders who is reclaiming the name and the Black Lives Matter mission. How much progress have we made when it comes to reducing racism? The Pew Research Center just released a new study, and many Black Americans believe key U.S. institutions need rebuilding to ensure fair treatment. We'll break that down. It ended up being one of my favorite shows, we had 4 or 5 great calls from people representing all different walks of life. 2. Benny Thompson calls out Chokwe Antar Lumumba for not having a plan together for fixing the JXN water issue. 3. Ep #322 Of The Clay Edwards Show On 103.9 WYAB 1. Former Jackson, Mississippi police officer (current Clinton Police Officer) Anthony Fox was found guilty of culpable negligence manslaughter in a clown court ran by Judge Wooten. This was nothing more than a social justice human sacrifice to the God's of WOKEISM, orchestrated by George Soros funded Hinds County D.A. Jody Owens and the Chokwe Antar Lumumba administration. 2. I go to war with some callers that take offense to suggesting that Jackson politicians love their criminal base more than they do law abiding citizens. Between them prosecuting good police officers for murders they did not commit to suing the state of Mississippi to eliminate high speed pursuits..... The facts are not up for debate!! 3. A caller tries to make the argument that Rankin and Madison county have more sex offenders / criminals than JXN. It was a great call because he made my point about the criminal justice systems in Rankin and Madison county Vs. JXN and Hinds county for me. Those counties actually arrest and PROSECUTE their criminals The Clay Edwards Show Podcast is brought to you by my own personal business, "Auto Armour By Clay Edwards". Ep #318 Of The Clay Edwards Show On 103.9 WYAB 1. Jackson homicides are on a record breaking pace again this year, we're currently sitting at 84 this year (86 same day in history last year). There have been 12 homicides in the last 11 days in Jackson. 2. 911 is not responding to calls in the Capitol City Improvement District (CCID) and blaming it on the Capitol Police, even giving 911 callers another number to call if they answer the phone at all. They both have jurisdiction in the CCID so this is nothing more than a political game being played by Jackson Mayor, Chokwe Antar Lumumba and JPD Chief James Davis to skirt the blame or responsibility. 3. Angry Normies: I read a text from a concerned black citizen in Jackson & a facebook / nextdoor post from a fondren resident (I assume a white liberal). Both of which are fed up with this current administration & city council in Jackson. 4. Local businessman & very successful restaurant owner Jeff E. Good pens a very concerning facebook post calling out the mayor & city leaders over the lack of transparency concerning the city of Jackson's water woes, the misinformation on boil water notices & honestly just not telling people how bad the situation at the treatment plant really is. 5. Therese Apel W/ Www.DarkhorsePressNow.Com calls in from the Hinds County Courthouse with an update on the Anthony Fox trial, Fox is the former JPD officer being charged with murder as part of a woke political witch by Hinds County D.A. Jody Owens & the Lumumba administration. 6. Friday night was packed out with live entertainment by Mississippi's very own Chad Wesley (who co-hosted last weeks show & podcast with me and is available here as Episode #10) and Outlaw country superstar Frank Foster. Clay talked about what Jackson is capable of when it's do-nothing mayor (Chokwe Antar Lumumba) will just get out of the way and let the adults take care of business. Clay also discusses his disgust with the current pro & college sports climate of being overly WOKE and how not watching sports has helped him free up so much time that he's started a podcast and now has a live radio show. We discuss the situation with Shelley Luther's salon in Dallas, TX as well as Jackson, MS mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba's executive order suspending what he claims are open carry laws.
Jackson, Mississippi Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba has a vision that distinguishes him from most elected officials in the United States, even from most progressive elected officials. He is not afraid of the world radical, in fact he relishes discussions about what it means to go to the root of challenging issues, to identify the sources of injustice, and to address them. Mayor Lumumba comes from an activist family, his father, Chokwe Lumumba, was a legendary figure in Jackson and nationally, a brilliant lawyer, and organizer with the Republic of New Afrika and other groups on behalf of communities that have been let down by both major parties. The senior Lumumba warned against imagining that answers would come from distant political figures. He believed in building from the grassroots up. Eventually, he was elected mayor of Jackson in 2013, a victory that drew national attention because of what it said about the opening up of American politics, especially in the south. He was described as America’s most revolutionary mayor. When he died less than a year after taking office, his son ran to replace him, and lost. That defeat did not dissuade Chokwe Antar Lumumba, he kept speaking up, organizing, and campaigning. In 2017, running on a people’s platform and an agenda of social justice, economic democracy, he won the mayoralty by a landslide, taking 94% of the general election vote. He promised to make Jackson the most radical city on the planet. As mayor, he has stood up to Donald Trump, and he has taken on national issues, but his primary focus has been on the grassroots work of delivering services, people-powered budgeting, and community empowerment. Chokwe Antar Lumumba, the mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, is our guest this week on Next Left. It's Friday, so that means it's panel time. Democratic presidential candidates are traversing Iowa this week with lively summer bus tours, stopping with their families at the Iowa State Fair and eating fried butter and fried Oreos, and speaking at the Des Moines Register Political Soapbox and the annual Democratic Wing Ding fundraiser. So, right now Real Clear Politics has Joe Biden up by nine points over Elizabeth Warren, followed by Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg. Is there any sense of momentum on the ground that either confirms these numbers or provides a different perspective? Have the shootings in Gilroy, California; El Paso, Texas; and Dayton, Ohio, changed the focus of discussion for these candidates? The man accused of carrying out last weekend's deadly mass shooting at a Walmart in the Texas border city of El Paso confessed to officers while he was surrendering and later explained that he had been targeting Mexicans, authorities say. The death toll is 22. Just hours after that attack, another man wielding a powerful firearm unleashed more horror, this time at a strip of bars and restaurants in Dayton, Ohio. Police said that in about 30 seconds, the shooter killed nine people and injured 27 more. Police in Dayton are still trying to determine his motive. On July 28, three people were killed, including two children, and 12 others wounded in a shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California. Santino William Legan, 19, was the shooter. In April, 19-year-old John Earnest opened fire at the Poway synagogue in San Diego, California, killing one person and injuring three others. Last October, 46-year-old Robert Gregory Bowers opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, killing 11 people and injuring six others. The deputy director of national intelligence is resigning. Sue Gordon is leaving a vacuum at the top of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), resigning at the same time as her boss, DNI Dan Coats, who announced his resignation last month. Gordon spent more than 25 years at the CIA before becoming the second-in-command at the ODNI. US President Donald Trump praised her as a great professional in a tweet. She and Coats are leaving on August 15. But did Trump push her out? What's going on here?US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents rounded up nearly 700 suspected undocumented immigrants Wednesday in what's being called the biggest single-state immigration raid in US history. Agents who raided food processing plants in six Mississippi cities took 680 people into custody. The acting director of ICE says they'll go before an immigration judge to see if they should be allowed to stay in the US. The Southern Poverty Law Center says children had their parents ripped away from them parents during the first week of school. Chokwe Antar Lumumba, the mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, called the raids "dehumanizing and ineffective" and is asking churches in the city to become immigrant sanctuaries. Trump is still insisting that Americans are not paying for the steep tariffs he has imposed on China. Economists and trade analysts say otherwise. Talking at the White House, Trump again expressed optimism about striking a deal with China to end the ongoing trade war with the US. More meetings between negotiators are expected next month. Trump said the US has been "hurt by China" for decades. What's the truth?GUESTS: Bob Schlehuber — Producer for By Any Means Necessary and Sputnik news analyst. In episode 1 of this special "Let's Talk Jackson Politics" series of interviews, Donna Ladd speaks with former Jackson Police Department Chief Lee Vance, now running for Hinds County Sheriff. Vance is probably the best known challenger to Sheriff Victor Mason, the incumbent running to retain his seat. Vance spent 30 years with the Jackson Police Department after growing up on Wood Street in Jackson. "I started school when schools were still segregated, went to Mary C. Jones Elementary School." Although he retired just months into the Chokwe Antar Lumumba mayoral administration, he's been endorsed by the major in the sheriff's race.

It's yet the latest installment in our ongoing series on the Left and electoral politics. Dan's guest is Chokwe Antar Lumumba, the mayor of Jackson, Mississippi. Last year, Mayor Lumumba pledged to make Jackson "the most radical city on the planet." Lumumba, who comes out of a decades-old revolutionary black nationalist movement, is serious about that. But he also faces challenges: Jackson is a majority black city which, like many such cities, has much of its wealth appropriated by its largely white suburbs. The human and infrastructural needs are enormous, and the tax base is thin. This is precisely why so many on the Left have found what's going on in Jackson to be so interesting, and why Dan was eager to invite the mayor onto the show. Thanks to Verso Books.
