In this insightful video, we delve into the concept of circumstantial evidence by drawing a parallel to a vast field of lava rock. Just as a barren lava field indicates a past volcanic eruption without witnessing the event, circumstantial evidence allows us to infer facts in criminal cases without direct observation. We explore how circumstantial evidence plays a pivotal role in the justice system, often leading to convictions even in the absence of direct proof. Cases like the Bryan Kohberger trial, Rex Heuermann, Richard Allen, Karen Read, Diddy, and many more where circumstantial evidence may prove the silver bullet. Understanding the weight and application of circumstantial evidence is essential, as many criminal convictions rely heavily on it. By examining these cases and others, we shed light on how seemingly indirect evidence pieces together to form compelling narratives in the courtroom. #CircumstantialEvidence #TrueCrime #CrimeInvestigation #CriminalJustice #CourtroomDrama #LegalInference #IndirectEvidence #EvidenceMatters #JusticeSystem #ForensicScience #DNAEvidence #CrimeSceneAnalysis #LegalCases #HighProfileTrials #BryanKohberger #KohbergerTrial #ChrisDawson #DawsonTrial #UnsolvedMysteries #ColdCase #CrimeNews #MurderTrial #Prosecution #DefenseStrategy #CrimeForensics #LegalAnalysis #CrimeSceneInvestigation #TrueCrimeCommunity #JusticeForVictims #CrimeDocumentary #CriminalBehavior #CourtroomEvidence #LawAndOrder #CrimeResearch #CrimeFacts #LegalExperts #CrimeTheories #CrimeSolving #CrimeSceneForensics=======================================Order a copy of Deceived or She Knew No Fear and get the book signed for free! https://www.ProfilingEvil.comDONATE to Profiling Evil: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=T54JX76RZ455SSUPPORT our Podcasts: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1213394/support

In the seventeenth episode of "Divine Guidance," Duane Sherif teaches how circumstantial evidence is a secondary witness to God's leading. While the Holy Spirit primarily leads us, God often uses our circumstances to confirm His will and direction. We should consider them as supporting evidence that the Holy Spirit is already communicating to us internally.Using the example of the prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 17, God used circumstances to guide Elijah's steps. When the brook Cherith dried up, it was a sign for Elijah to prepare for change. However, Elijah didn't move until he heard directly from God to go to Zarephath, demonstrating the balance between circumstantial evidence and direct divine instruction.Believers should be attentive to the Holy Spirit's internal leading and the external circumstances that God may use. When we truly follow God's will, there will often be supernatural manifestations in our circumstances, such as provision, open doors, or miraculous events. This balanced approach helps believers to discern God's guidance more effectively in their daily lives.

Our story this time is an Edgar Wallace mystery called Circumstantial Evidence, which was originally published in 1929 along with seven of his other works in a collection called Circumstantial Evidence and Other Stories. The story is set in England in the 1920s and is about a young woman who is accused of murder when her wealthy uncle dies in mysterious circumstances. The evidence against her is all circumstantial, but as the lawyer characters are quick to point out, that kind of evidence is often the hardest to refute. Is she guilty or innocent and what will happen when her case goes to trial? Listen to the episode to find out. Edgar Wallace's writing has very much fallen out of fashion now, but stories like this one are a reminder of why he was so popular in his day. It's a gripping tale which showcases his narrative skill and knowledge of the law. Wallace was born in 1875, the product of a liaison between two actors at an after-show party. He left school at the age of twelve, but went on to became a prolific writer, whose output included 170 novels, 18 plays and 957 short stories. He died suddenly in 1932 while working on the screenplay for the original King Kong movie. More than 160 films have been made of his work, so this Back of the Bookshelf offering is part of a long tradition. It's narrated by C.J. Carter-Stephenson with music by Kevin MacLeod as usual (music licenced under Creative Commons: by attribution 3.0 licence). We hope you enjoy it.

Today we're talking about cold case investigation with J Warner Wallace, he's a famous cold case homicide detective who had his cases featured on television for a decade. Interestingly, he also was once a 35 year old atheist cop who applied his knowledge of solving cold cases to the Bible and then became a Christian.  A police officer who's law enforcement skills led him to faith?  Now that's an interesting story. The first twenty minutes or so are about cold case investigations: how to build a case to convince a jury, how to work with a DA, and how to prioritize your cases.  In the second half of the interview we transition to Jim's personal story of investigating Christianity like a cold case detective and being transformed from vocal atheist to believing Christian.  And don't miss what he says at the end of interview about working in a job full of skeptics as a new believer. Again, the religious stuff kicks in about 22 minutes in (and it's really interesting!) but please don't miss one of the most famous cold case detectives in the country talking about his work.Resources:Cold Case Christianity website: coldcasechristianity.comThe Thin Blue Life website: www.thethinbluelife.comMusic is by Chris HaugenHey Chaplain Podcast Episode 065Tags:Cold Cases, Book, Career, Case Building, Circumstantial Evidence, Court, Cumulative Evidence, Evidence, Faith, Homicide, Interviews, Juries, Police, Psychology, Television, Truth, Writing, Los Angeles, Torrance, CaliforniaSubscribe/Follow here: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/hey-chaplain/id1570155168 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2CGK9A3BmbFEUEnx3fYZOY Email us at: heychaplain44@gmail.comThanks for Listening!
