POPULARITY
Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner welcoming you to this episode of Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, that numbers 341. This is the first episode that I've put together since putting together my Hundredth episode for episode 339. Yes, you heard me correctly, 339. If this is your first time here, I should explain that my hosting duties are shared in a more-or-less every other weekly tradeoff with show creator and executive producer Marc Hershon. Last week for episode 340, Mr. Hershon brought you a "Chats" episode in which was featured special guest, Dr. London Smith of The Jock Doc Podcast. It's a very entertaining episode that you could check out at your earliest convenience by going to our homesite, www.succotashshow.com, where you can find the entire archive of shows going back to March of 2011.…Or, I guess you could just use whatever podcast streaming service you are currently listening to us on and go back a week…that would probably work too. This week in Epi341 I've got clips from the soundcasts known as The Bancroft Brothers Animation Podcast, Willy Shaker", and The Hollywood Experience. this installment is sponsored by our longtime fake sponsor Henderson's Pants and their Klept-O-Matic Trousers. (If you listened to Epi340 you will have heard a NEW advert from those aformentioned fictional freeloaders…which was quite enjoyable to hear.…So THAT's cool. Anyway, here is the clippage in store this time around… CLIPS The Bancroft Brothers Animation Podcast Twin animators Tom and Tony Bancroft get together and talk about their Disney Animation past, the present animation business, and the future of animation. Interviews with talented artists, inspirational words, and wild speculation will help you grow as a person - or not. Our clip is from Oct 21st, 2022, and features guest Henry Selick, the director of "A Nightmare Before Christmas" talking with the Bancrofts in HALLOWEEN MONTH! Willy ShakersFrom the show's description: "A soundcast where I talk about how much I love Willy. I hope if you listen you will love Willy too. No, Please get your mind out of the gutter, I mean William Shakespeare. So put the kettle on, grab yourself a cuppa and get your Willy out with me." I've selected a snippet from the first episode, which dropped at the beginning of this year, on January 5th, 2023. It's entitled "Much Ado About Nothing Act One: Good News Everybody!" We join host Billy Armstrong as he introduces us to the cast. The Hollywood Experience I clipped this soundcast originally for Episode 294, titled "Celebrity Adjacent" which dropped a bit over a year ago on March 1st, 2022. The host is actor, producer, and director Adrian Paul, who has over 200 hours of television and more than 35 film credits to his name. He talks with other actors, comic book creators, martial arts masters, showrunners, stunt professionals, and many others who have helped shape some of the most famous action films and TV shows in pop culture history. Joining him is co-host Ethan Dettenmaier, our old friend from Combat Radio. Our clip is from Episode #52 from January 16th, 2023, and features an interview with Claudia Christian (Babylon 5). And that brings Episode 341 almost completely to a close. I do hope you'll find something enjoyable in what I brought to you. It is my goal to provide at least 3 clips for the show I do every 2 weeks and sometimes it is surprisingly difficult to be in the mood to listen to folks I've never heard speak before. Sometimes, I just want to listen to one of my favorite soundcasts and that does become a bit of a tradeoff as far as time is concerned. Also, sometimes I am not in the mood for comedy. Funny thing, that. I love comedy and comedians, but burnout is real. All in all, I do think that listening to various strangers have conversations over the years has essentially made me a better listener. There's not enough space in my brain at the moment to remember if I have pointed that "better listener" thing out on the show before but…if I have…I can only apologize and say that it's just a true thing. I've had a lot of practice listening. Maybe, one day I will listen to YOU talking on a soundcast…and perhaps I will enjoy what I am hearing so much, I will try to find a clip from your soundcast to feature here on Succotas"…assuming that by the time you have your soundcast recorded, edited and published that "Succotash" is still a thing. I don't see why it wouldn't be…it's just that time is a very real thing, and it appears to be nothing if not finite. On that note, tune in next week for Epi342 where I imagine Marc Hershon will have something really neat for you to listen to. Thank you for listening, Be decent to each other, go to www.tysonsaner.com to find links to the rest of the stuff I have put out into the universe, and until I talk at you again please remember that there might be people in your life that would appreciate a suggestion of what to listen to on their own personal journey of soundcast listenership, and if you do think of us as a possible suggestion for them, we will always appreciate it if you could please pass the Succotash… — Tyson Saner
First off, season's greetings and thank you to our announcer Bill Heywatt, our engineer, Joe Paulino, our booth assistant Kenny Durgis, and Succotash musical director Scott Carvey, and of course, our co-host Tyson Saner with whom it is my esteemed pleasure to share the every-other-weekly hosting duties on this here soundcast. We couldn't do it without our talented, hard-working crew – all working for peanuts. Literally, peanuts. That's all we can afford since we have no paying sponsors. (You can Venmo us a donation, if you like. For whatever amount you'd like. One dollar. Two. FIVE bucks? More? It's totally up to you, but if you Venmo it to me, Marc Hershon, @Hershco – h-e-r-s-h-c-o – it will be used for offsetting our production and hosting costs. I can also kick Tyson a few bucks. So we won't say no to Venmo!) I mentioned Tyson Saner and if you happened to miss last week's Epi333, he was in rare form. Fresh off some well-earned vacation time over Thanksgiving, he served up a quartet of clips from such shows as Tough Drafts; The Crazy Life; Barnes, Brenner & Fitzgerald, and The Bitter Sound with old pal of the show Davian Dent. You can still grab yourself a big handful of Succotash Episode 333 wherever finer soundcasts are streamed and/or downloaded, including Apple & Google Podcasts, Spotify, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Audible, iHeart Radio, YouTube, Amazon Music, PodBay, Podchaser, and at our SuccotashShow.com homesite, where we have that episodes and all of the other ones dating back almost 12 year in the Succotash archives. As for this week, my “Season's Clippings!” episode, I'm featuring a fivesome of fine feathered clips from the soundcasts Hey, Riddle, Riddle; Jordan Klepper Fingers the Conspiracy, Man Thinkers, our old friends over at The Salty Language Podcast AND an old friend with a new show, Fandom! The Podcast! In addition, we're putting aside those freebie spots from Henderson's Pants this week, to bring you word about something truly new, unique, and wonderful. It's our own Bill Heywatt offering his master class…on running master classes. CLIPS Fandom! The PodcastI had pretty much pulled all the clips together for this episode and was getting ready to record when I happened to have a text exchange with a couple of old friends of mine from my sketch comedy days in North Hollywood with a group called Fries On The Side. Kenny Stevenson and Dorien Davies have been special guests on Succotash WAY back in Episode 20(!) Anyway, we were texting about something or another and Kenny mentioned that he and another old chum, Alex Enriquez, had just started a new soundcast. Kenny used to co-host a sports soundcast called Knuckle Sanwich – great title – but that had been down for a while. So he and Alex have started a new show – right up my alley as they cover a lot of super-nerdy pop culture territory – and I just got this clip in under the wire for this episode. Their show is called Fandom! The Podcast, from the Fan Controlled Network, and their most recent episode talks a lot about the new Willow streaming show on Disney+. Jordan Klepper Fingers the ConspiracyOne of the best forces for pseudo-journalism goodness has got to be Jordan Klepper, who's been a fixture on Comedy Central's The Daily Show for years. He's got a six-episode limited-run soundcast under the Comedy Central banner called Jordan Klepper Fingers The Conspiracy, where he digs deep into some of the wildest MAGA theories he's heard and, according to the show's description, “traces their origins with journalists, experts, and anyone who might have a lead on when JFK Jr. is coming back. The soundcast offers an opportunity to better understand some of the most extravagant stories Americans tell themselves.” In Epi5 of the series, Jordan wades deep into the history and mystery that is “Hunter Biden's Laptop.” We have a sample… Hey Riddle RiddleI'll be the first to admit this, but some soundcasts get past me. Maybe I'm not paying attention or maybe it's because there are a couple hundred THOUSAND of them out there now. But I'm really ashamed to ‘fess up to missing Hey Riddle Riddle, mainly because it's hosted by a trio of improv and sketch performers and those are MY people. Adal Rifai, Erin Keif, and John Patrick Coan are Chicago-based and they've been doing Hey Riddle Riddle for at least 4 years now. Out of the Headgum Studios, their homesite only has shows through their 4th anniversary show, which dropped this past August 27th. But there are still fresh installments coming out, available on Apple Podcasts, etc. What is Hey Riddle Riddle, for those of you who are like me and in the dark? Their show's description on Apple Podcasts reads, “Riddles! Puzzles! WhoDunnits! Adal Rifai, Erin Keif and John Patrick Coan, three of Chicago's most overrated improvisers, are on the case to solve every riddle, puzzle, brainteaser, and head-scratcher known to humanity. Some riddles are almost impossible, some are absolutely improbable, and some simply have not aged well. And if you don't like riddles, don't worry! This podcast is barely about them!” I bring you a pull from their 4th season finale episode where they get into guessing movie title mashups. The Salty Language PodcastIf you've been a listener to this soundcast for any appreciable length of time, you know that both Tyson and I do have our favorites out there in Soundcastland. So we occasionally show them a bit more love than some of the other shows we feature. Tyson just played a bit last episode from our chum Davian Dent from England. I often talk with Jabs AKA Jason McNamara in Australia. And other folks like Hunter Block from Anti Social Show, Ethan Dettenmeier of Combat Radio, Ed Wallick from the hiatus'ed Don't Quit Your Daycast, and Travis Clark from, originally, Tiny Odd Conversations. A few shows retweet OUR tweets religiously – like The Jock Doc Podcast and I Shake My Head with Lisa and Sam. So I want to do them a solid and recognize their place in our Soundcast Society, too, which is why we're featuring a clip from a recent installment of The Salty Language Podcast. Hosted by Tony and Bryan, this show has been around probably as long as Succotash. Sluggin' out the episodes one after the other. The show's simple description on their homesite reads, “A soundcast about pop culture, living life, and anything else in our tiny brains.” This clip is about one of the guys having made it to his first in-person medical checkup since COVID started. Man ThinkersIt's hard to tell if the attitude of the hardcore male chauvinist is on the run or just biding its time. I'd like to think that kind of backwards attitude that men have towards women is being eclipsed by something more forward-thinking. Whatever the case, it's a way of thinking that soundcasters are having fun ripping on in a variety of ways. One of those is an iHeart Radio production, a show called Man Thinkers, featuring George Collins and Dan Finklestein. Here is how the show is described over on Apple Podcasts: “Man Thinkers is a podcast where the facts...are up for debate. For decades, the lamestream media has prevented real men from sharing their knowledge. On Man Thinkers, there are no degrees and no rules. The hosts aren't impressed by run-of-the-mill ‘experts.' Man Thinkers is a new space populated by iconoclastic thinkers, academic renegades, and media personalities that sound unlike anything else. Cable news is for the old and social media has become too toxic to trust. George and Dan courageously have the tough conversations that mainstream media won't touch. Man Thinkers is a safe space from safe spaces, nothing is off limits.” In a recent episode that dropped back on November 24th of this year, George and Dan had two women on the show: Liz Plank and Monica Padman. Lis is a Canadian journalist, author, and soundcast host. Monica is an actor, podcast producer and co-host – you've heard her on here before when we've clipped Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. The Man Thinkers had them on to talk about women freezing their eggs. Here's how part of the conversation went… That's it for the clips this week. If you've got a comedy soundcast and you'd like us to feature a clip, you don't have to wait for us to wade through those hundreds of thousands of shows to find you – you can make your own 3-5 minute clip and upload it directly to us at http://hightail.com/u/Succotash! That's gonna do it for Epi334 but if you want to hear what's coming up next, just hang arounds this feed until next week when Tyson Saner shows up with Episode 335 and lays it on you. Tyson's next episode is our Christmas present to you, as a matter of fact. And MY next show will be that after-Christmas great buy you get immediately after. Have yourself a fantastic holiday season. And remember, if som jolly fat guy in a red suit with white trim should happen to pop up next to your bed one night soon and whisper into your ear, “Have you heard anything good lately?”, it just might be Santa Claus wanting to find something decent to listen to on his way back to the North Pole, so won't you please pass him some milk, cookies, and Succotash? — Marc Hershon

Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner. Welcome to the soundcast known as Succotash Shut-In: The Soundcast Stimulus Package. It's Season 4, Episode 232, and I've got some clips for you from three soundcasts I've been listening to recently, namely Sam Pancake Presents the Monday Afternoon Movie, Puppet Tears: Puppetry Shop Talk, and Good For You with Whitney Cummings. There's also going to be a reading from "TrumPoetry.com" and a spot from our other original fake sponsor Henderson's Pants and their brand new Holiday Pants. By the way, Epi231 featured bloopers from 5 soundcasts which were Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, A Paranormal Chicks, Roll Out!, Who Back When, and Voyage to the Stars. It was a very entertaining episode hosted by Marc Hershon with whom I alternate hosting duties with weekly. You can find it in the same place you found this soundcast or any of the other options available for soundcast listening including, but not limited to: Apple or Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, iHeart Radio, the Laughable app, etc. There's also the homesite at www.succotashshow.com or at succotash.libsyn.com where you can find all the shows dating back to 2011. As I'm recording this, it's early December of 2020, a year that has been possibly the worst year in recent memory since…like 2016? That was pretty bad. 2014 wasn't great either come to think of it. And 2012 everybody was talking about the "end of the world…" Actually, I remember 2012 having some bright spots. It's the year I met Ethan Dettenmaier of Combat Radio and, as a result, I met many other guests of Combat Radio including Marc Hershon who was at that time the host of a show called Succotash, The Comedy Podcast Podcast, which subsequently became Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast and then, eventually, Succotash Shut-In which you are listening to now. I also met Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness of Chillpak Hollywood Hour of whom this program has featured clips and with whom this show and many of it' contributors have collaborated with over the years. In fact I took part in a 28-hour "Mayan Marathon" that Chillpak held live on the internet counting down the hours until the impending apocalypse. I remember taking photos in realtime as a way to commemorate the occasion… if there was, in fact, a world after said apocalypse where my iPad 2 had both survived intact but also had a charge…That was a really good time… 2012 was also the year I met Hunter Block on Twitter. We became friends and, as of October of 2016, co-hosts of a soundcast called Anti Social Show which is still releasing episodes as time moves steadily on. So, there are a couple of bright spots from 2012 and 2016… I guess what I'm getting at is that all years have their bright spots in some way or another for someone or another and it is important to remember that when things get really dark. In 2020 I got to spend most of my time with a special little guy named Jareth as he entered his toddler stage. I consider these recent memories to be of truly the happiest moments I have ever had in this life that I've had so far. I don't think I could be more grateful for these bright spots than I am…but I can always try. Anyway, thank you for listening…or reading if this is the episode blog. CLIPS Puppet Tears: Puppetry Shop Talk The soundcast Puppet Tears feature hosts Adam Kreutinger and Cameron Garrity having in-depth interviews with the world's most passionate puppeteers. On March 27th of last year - 2019 or "Pre-pandemic as it's become known - Ryan Dillon stopped by for a jam-packed episode of the show. OUr featured clip is from their chat with this Muppet performer on Sesame Street, perhaps best known for performing Elmo since 2013. Good For You Comedian Whitney Cummings interviews guests (friends, comics, celebs, experts, weirdos) every week. Known for her standup comedy specials for HBO and Netflix, Comedy Central Roasts, multiple television series and films, Whitney has a lot of questions for a lot of different kinds of people. She also has opinions. And a robot. Epi57 from November of this year featured guest Meghan Tainor and, in our featured clip she and WHitney strained to remember Milli Vanilli and whatever became of them…with varying degrees of accuracy. Sam Pancake Presents the Monday Afternoon MovieActor/comedian Sam Pancake sits down with friends famous and funny to discuss the surreal, silly and nonetheless star-studded made-for-TV movies of the 1970s. It's a loving look at baffling not-quite-feature-length flicks that often aren't on DVD and have largely been lost to time. IN November of last month Sam welcomed comedian Dave Holmes on to talk about The Night Stalker - not th eTV series but teh 1972 TV movie that served as the pilot for the show starring Darren McGavin which was to follow. It influenced generations of subsequent paranormal-themed TV shows, but does it hold up today? Not so much, says Holmes, who objects to this take on vampire horror being so decidedly unsexy and overstuffed with middle-aged white dudes. And here we are again, together at the end of the show…wondering what the future will bring. Well, there are more soundcasts out there to listen to and share with you for one thing. If all goes well, COVID-19 will be eradicated, or at the very least manageable, treatable, preventable…rather than what it seems to be which is "inevitable". It is the Xmas season right now as anyone with an active radio can't avoid noticing…So many holiday tunes out there. Many people don't know this but I actually wrote a Christmas song called "For Christmas" waaaay back in 2014 for a charity Christmas album. It has lyrics but so far only the instrumental has been produced and distributed. It's a long story as to why the lyrics were never recorded… mostly having to do with technical limitations on the part of the producer… er, me. …Well, I guess that isn't really a long story per se. Anyway, the song is still available in the form it currently exists in, and I'll provide a link: https://www.amazon.com/For-Christmas/dp/B00PJUHQJE I do think it is about time I recorded a version with words… but then everything is about time, isn't it?…ok, maybe not everything. You can also check out the show archive at SuccotashShow.com to find all the episodes throughout the years, presenting what HAS to be around a thousand different soundcasts from various places around the world and the internet as we know (or knew) it. Maybe YOU are in the archive… maybe you will be someday? Who knows? In the meantime we can always use your help in the form of rating and reviewing the show… and also sharing the show. Because sharing is caring… unles it's COVID-19, DON'T SHARE THAT!!…But, sharing US is what we mean when we gently ask: Won't you please…Pass The Succotash? — Tyson Saner

Just a family affair with the Stidham's. Mike Stidham and the Monkey Boy chat it up with Mike's older Brother, Robert, who suffered a stroke at a young age, rendering him 'disabled'. Despite having difficulty walking on his own, Robert went on the get his Master's Degree, and worked as a Physical Therapist for years. Robert lives in Mesa, Arizona and is the 'Dark Sheep' of the family, as he is a devout Mormon. :)Also joining the conversation is Mike's younger sister, Shanti. She is quite possibly the sweetest person on the planet and works as a Social Worker in Portland, Oregon. She has also been married to a woman for over a decade. SAAAAY WHAAAAA????....A Liberal Lesbian from Oregon, and a Conservative Mormon from Arizona. We talk about the world as we know it during a pandemic, offer some opinions as to why our country is so polarized, about re-opening of the economy, movies, books, and food.
Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner, your host, and that means you are my parasite...and we have a symbiotic relationship, don't we? Yup, that sounds as stupid out loud as it looks on paper...or on the screen of a computer or device. It's early in the morning at the moment as I am writing this and I wonder how many other soundcasters are working on their soundcasts right now instead of sleeping or fishing or doing a paper route (if those things still exist – I know I had a few of them "back in the day") And is route pronounced to rhyme with "gout" or "boot"? It's probably either depending on where you are from or what you grew up hearing. Also, is "either" pronounced to rhyme with "breather" or "hi there"? I imagine the same scenario applies as before with the word "route". Either (or either) way, your route (or route) has led you here to us at Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast and I am grateful for that. Welcome. I'm sorry this episode was a bit late. I usually aim for release on Fridays but I have only 1-3 nights per week I can work on the show and last week we had a power outage inflicted on us by Pacific Gas and Electric or PG&E as we say out here. Yes, I said "inflicted" because it was purposely done by the company to help prevent fires during a windstorm we were having in California. There are folks who are probably still without power 5 days on from the event and I consider myself fortunate that it was only slightly more than 24 hours with no power in my proverbial neck of the woods. Anyway, I've managed to put together some semblance of a show for you...And, in this episode I've got clips from "Stuff You Should Know", "Mostly Swinging", "Two Old Queens", "The Margaret Cho", "How Did This Get Played" and "Athletico Mince". I've also got selected reading from our 100% FAKE SPONSOR with a 100% real website that is TrumPoetry.com and a special presentation of so many of our Burst O' Durst segments from political humorist and Raging Moderate Will Durst that I'm calling it our Block O' Durst. SO... without further yammering from me, let's get to the content created by people far more talented than I. CLIPS Stuff You Should KnowHosted by Josh Clark and Charles W. "Chuck" Bryant, if you've ever wanted to know about champagne, satanism, the Stonewall Uprising, chaos theory, LSD, El Nino, true crime and Rosa Parks then look no further. Josh and Chuck have you covered. Our clip is from the episode from September 5th, 2019: What's the deal with MSG? Mostly Swinging There really isn't a description for this show on its page but from listening to the first episode I can say that Jazz and Jazz standards are discussed and recordings of performances of Jazz standards are played in the episode. The first song played as a segment in the first episode is "Blue Skies" by Irving Berlin, sung by Don Most who has loved music that swings from a very young age and who's album of music - also titled "Mostly Swinging" - can be found on iTunes. Ethan Dettenmaier of Combat Radio who founded BrigadeRadioOne.org is the co-host of this episode. Two Old QueensThey're old! They're queens! There's two of them! It's Two Old Queens! Join Mark Rennie and John Flynn as they search for the gayest movie ever made, using a byzantine ranking system, their own hard opinions, and some inevitable controversies from a stacked lineup of guests to come! Our clip is from September 18, 2019: Beetlejuice with Niccole Thurman, wherein the Group discusses their hunt for "The Gayest Movie Ever" and the "Top 5" they've come up with so far... How Did This Get Played?Heather Anne Campbell and Nick Wiger love video games. Together, they're playing the very worst and weirdest games ever made with their funniest friends to get down to this fundamental question: How Did This Get Played? The clip we share is from August of this year entitled "Night Trap with Christine Nangle". Athletico Mince This soundcast, featuring hosts Bob Mortimer and Andy Dawson, was recommended by longtime FOS (Friend Of Succotash) Davian Dent of the soundcasts Strange Times and The Bitter Sound. OUr clip is pulled from their Epi85, in which Peter makes a hospital visit, Mark invites Steve 'round, they discuss biscuit etiquette, Roy launches a new game, Dyche motivates, and there is a new Crime Files. The Margaret Cho Through Margaret Cho's iconic work in comedy, fashion, music, and activism, she's developed deep, lasting friendships with - well - a bunch of famous people, while never losing her desire to search for and support the next big thing. Our featured clip is from the October 7th episode just a few weeks ago. Margaret talks with managing editor of Yahoo! music, Lyndsey Parker. Although the clip itself features an excerpt from Margaret's interview with Ronald McDonkey. Well, there it is. Another show gone and here we are together at the end of it. Will you be here at the end of show 200 to say "goodbye" to us for a while? Tweet us at @succotashshow with your answer. I'm serious. Also seriously, anything can happen between now and episode 200. We could get a real, paying sponsor for instance. A soundcaster can dream, can't he? In the meantime, hug your loved ones because, as Kanye West and Adam Levine said: "Nothin's ever promised tomorrow today And I heard 'em say (nothin's ever promised tomorrow today) but we'll find a way (And nothing lasts forever but be honest babe, it hurts but it may be the only way)" So, until the next episode this has been Tyson Saner ,asking on behalf of Marc Hershon, Bill Heywatt, Joe Paulino, Will Durst, and Scott Carvey, if you enjoy this program and the ones that came before it, please share it with others. Perhaps by way of leaving a review on iTunes or Apple podcasts...or Stitcher...or anywhere you can leave a review would be appreciated... also, retweeting our links on Twitter is a big help and would be much appreciated. Those are just some of the ways you can show your support of us in a way that doesn't cost you a dime, and it's at least partially what we mean when we ask you to (Please) Pass The Succotash. — Tyson Saner

Saluton, estas mi Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner welcoming you to Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast...the soundcast that features clips from other soundcasts that have something to do with comedy. I swear to you. That is to say that all of the soundcasts featured in nearly every episode of Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast will be comedy-related in some way. I cannot stress that enough. Or maybe I can and/or have. It's hard to tell without feedback. Did I mention there are clips? We've got clips from Ear Biscuits, Science Fiction Rating System, Am I An Asshole?, Comedy Pop-Up Podcast, The Kevin and Bean Show from KROQ, and Hello From The Magic Tavern! We've also got a double Burst o' Durst from raging moderate Will Durst, another reading from TrumPoetry.com, and there may or may not be time for a Henderson's Pants ad... Let's find out, shall we? THE CLIPS Science Fiction Rating System Join Sam, Alex & Chris as they rank every science fiction film EVER. Three films an episode are discussed and added to the ranking, until they run out of films. (See the current list at sciencefictionratingsystem.com!) From July of this year, they are into thier second year running celebrating Bug Week, this time with the help of some GIANT ANTS. In a wide ranging episode we dissect the film itself, and also get into projection techniques, an in depth ant quiz, the wonder of a Victorian man in Hollywood and much, much more! Ear BiscuitsJoin Rhett and Link, hosts of the popular daily YouTube show Good Mythical Morning and authors of the New York Times bestseller "Book of Mythicality" in a candid weekly conversation for your Internetainment. In a clip from the spisode entitled "When Is Fun Too Dangerous?", Rhett and Link sit down to discuss when fun stops being worth the risk, dangerous hobbies they use to partake in, and the time Rhett almost went down with the "SS Merle" on this week's Ear Biscuits. The Kevin & Bean Show on KROQ The soundcast of The Kevin & Bean Show is made up of bits and segments from The Kevin & Bean Show. In this episode, that includes not just guest Bert Kreischer but "What's Happening?", Afro Line, Bean Makes Us Guess, and Extreme Commuting. Are the remnants and roll-ends of terrestrial radio the stuff of soundcasts? Listen and decide for yourself. Am I An Asshole?Comedians @JackieViscusi & @RosieGu + a special guest dig deep w/their resident therapist to analyze their asshole tendencies. In the episode from back in the beginning of this year sub-titled "For Being A Straight White Male?" (You have to do the math yourself there, and connected the title of the show to the sub-title to get the full message, see?), Jackie, Rosie, and guest comedian Jono Zalay touch on Women's Marches. Black Lives Matter. Gay rights. Are straight white dudes just hanging out and waving their privileged dicks around or do they actually want to help? Their special guest & comedian Jono, and their therapist, Jen, try to work it all out. Hello From The Magic TavernQuick background: Arnie Niekamp fell through a dimensional portal behind a Burger King into the fantastical land of Foon. He's still getting a slight WiFi signal, so he uploads a weekly podcast from the tavern the Vermilion Minotaur where he interviews wizards, monsters and adventurers. It's a major discovery! In our clip from Helo from The Magic Tavern (consistently in the Top 100 comedy soundcasts on iTunes), from way back in 2015, Arnie and his pals Chunt and Usidore meet a new guest: A common, dirty traveler named Tom. (Arnie hopes to hear what life outside of Hogface is like from someone who has traveled across Foon.) Comedy Pop-Up Podcast Live from the CPU Studios in beautiful Los Angeles, this is the official soundcast of Comedy Pop-Up, normally hosted by comedian Ron G. Join them as they interview some of the top comics in the business and create another outlet for some of the best in the industry. Our clip is from Epi42 from just earlier THIS month, guest-hosted by Paul Antonio and featuring guests Brent Sullivan and Vinny Fasline. And there you have it. September is nearly over and Halloween is just around the corner. In fact if you would like a headstart on Halloween why not pick up one or more editions of "Combat Radio Halloween The Album" available from cdbaby? You can pick them up by going to store.cdbaby.com , typing "Combat Radio" into the search field and clicking on any of the album icons adorned with very distinct shades of black with yellow lettering. If the image of the headless horseman holding aloft a flaming pumpkin to presumably hurl at some poor soul isn't enough of a tip-off that you're in the right place, the white skull peering from behind the red shield with the black cross that is Combat Radio's logo should be a dead giveaway... If you'd like specifically to buy this year's edition...this year being 2018...you can go to https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/combatradio8. The funds generated by album sales go to benefit social services, homeless children and other causes that have been adopted by the central figure of Combat Radio and an old pal of Succotash, Ethan Dettenmaier. I would also recommend checking out a track called "The Haunted Tour" from the 3rd annual "Combat Radio Halloween The Album" because it's something yours truly put together with the assistance of my co-host from Anti Social Show, Hunter Block, and we're frankly pleased with the way it turned out. So until next time, I bid you a fond farewell and thank you for spending some of your time with us here at Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. I hope it was entertaining and informative, and I hope that if you did enjoy yourself here that you might find the time to tell others about this program so that it might assist them in their own personal "I'd like to listen to a comedy soundcast but I'm not sure where to start" journey. That, after all, is the simplest way you could grant our most humble of requests that can be summed up in the four words: "Please, Pass The Succotash". - Tyson Saner
It's an extra-long extra-vaganza of an episode! So many things!
