The global persecution of Christians is one of today's most underreported human rights crises. To this lost world, there is little to no distinction made between biblically born again Christians and members of cult and fringe groups like the Roman Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witness and Seventh Day Adventists. To them, it's all the same, it's all Christianity. So for the sake of our discussion today, we will label all of it as “professing Christianity”. That said, there is a verifiable rise on Christians in Israel at the hands of radical Orthodox Jews, and it grows worse by the day. In our story today, we see a Roman Catholic nun kicked to the ground by Orthodox Jews, and this is just the tip of the end times iceberg.“As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.” Romans 11:28 (KJB)On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, the attacker was not some nameless shadow from a vague “troubled region.” Israeli police arrested a 36-year-old Jewish suspect, and AP reported that the assailant seen in the video was wearing tzitzit, the fringes worn by observant Jewish men. AP also noted that Christian leaders and organizations have been warning of a growing trend of violence and harassment against Christian clergy and pilgrims, often by ultra-Orthodox Jewish youth. There it is. Not rumor, not propaganda, not replacement theology hysteria. A documented pattern. The Rossing Center's reporting on attacks against Christians in Israel and East Jerusalem says that in known 2024 cases, the perpetrators were Jewish individuals, “primarily young men from ultra-Orthodox and national-religious circles,” driven by a mix of nationalist fervor and religious extremism, especially among ultra-Orthodox nationalist groups. The 2024 report documented 111 incidents, including physical attacks, attacks on church properties, harassment, and defacement, while coverage of the report noted that most victims were clergy or people wearing visible Christian symbols. The Rossing Center's 2025 report says the harassment and violence are continuing to escalate across Israel and East Jerusalem. Your King James Bible clearly says that this lost world is preparing itself to receive Antichrist in the coming “strong delusion”. Today we bring you everything you need to know about the Jews, Christians, cults and the scripture of truth.

It's Monday, March 30th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian archbishop to Trump:  “Give us weapons” to “eradicate” Islamic terrorists Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama of Abuja, Nigeria called on the Trump administration to provide intelligence and weapons to the Nigerian government to help combat the brutal persecution of the country's Christians at the hands of Islamic terrorists, reports LifeSiteNews.com. During a March 20th press briefing hosted by Aid to the Church in Need as, Archbishop Kaigama praised Trump for being the first world leader to “clearly and unequivocally” declare that Nigerian Christians are being persecuted, reports EWTN. The archbishop emphasized, however, that Trump's remarks and his administration's December bombing in Nigeria have only emboldened Islamist terror groups, such as Boko Haram, to carry out more attacks on Christians. He called on the 47th president to share intelligence with and provide weapons to the Nigerian government to help them put an end to the persecution for good. Kaigama said, “I was glad when I heard Donald Trump say, ‘We are going to go to Nigeria; we are going to put an end to Boko Haram. At Christmas, we received a gift — a bomb that fell on Nigerian soil — and, truth be told, I could not say whether it did any good. “That incident, coupled with Donald Trump's words, has greatly inflamed the passions of the Islamists in that territory. The number of attacks, the number of kidnappings carried out by Boko Haram and other groups, has been rising ever since.” Islamic persecution of Christians in Nigeria tied to sharia law Persecution of Christians in Nigeria began to spike after 1999, when 12 northern states adopted Sharia law. The rise of the terrorist group Boko Haram in 2009 marked a dramatic escalation in the attacks. Famously, the group kidnapped hundreds of schoolgirls in 2014; 87 of them are still listed as “missing.” From 2009 to 2022, over 50,000 Christians were killed in the country. A 2024 report found that more than 8,000 Nigerian Christians were killed and thousands more were abducted in 2023 alone, making it the bloodiest year on record for Islamic attacks against Christians in the country. Sportscaster Stephen Smith calls out hypocritical Democrats Stephen A. Smith, the ESPN sportscaster, speaks the truth when he ventures into the political world. This time, he chastised Democrats for hypocritically complaining about President Donald Trump's willingness to do something about the growing Iranian threat. Listen. SMITH: “You got a lot of nerve to be in the face of the American people saying for numerous administration, ‘Iran is a problem. They have to be dealt with.'  And then this man deals with them, and then all of a sudden, you complaining about him now. It doesn't really make sense. It's a lack of consistency.” BILL CLINTON: “I am formally announcing my intention to cut off all trade and investment with Iran.” GEORGE W. BUSH: “Our second goal is to prevent regimes that sponsored terror from threatening America or our friends and allies.  Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror while an unelected few repress the Iranian people's hope for freedom.” BARACK OBAMA: “I strongly believe that our national security interest now depends upon preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.” JOE BIDEN: “Well, I can say to you, Iran will never get a nuclear weapon on my watch, as they say.” DONALD TRUMP:  “As President of the United States, I would never allow the world's number one state sponsor of terror to obtain a nuclear weapon. I said that for a long time, and I didn't.” 3,500 U.S. Troops arrive in Middle East as Iran war strikes intensify More than 3,500 U.S. troops, including the U.S.S. Tripoli with about 2,500 Marines, arrived in the Middle East, officials announced Saturday, as strikes in the Iran war intensified, reports CBS News. It's the most updated of the amphibious warships, known as a "big deck," which allows more room for F-35 Stealth Fighter Jets, Ospreys and other aircraft. The ship had previously been based in Japan when the order to deploy to the Middle East came almost two weeks ago. Corey Lewandowski out at Department of Homeland Security Corey Lewandowski, a special government employee who served as a top adviser to former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, no longer has a role with the DHS, reports NewsNation.com. Last week, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee called for an investigation, saying that almost immediately after entering the agency, Lewandowski “exercised outsized influence over DHS far beyond what a special government employee is authorized to do.” Lewandowski was the campaign manager for President Trump in 2016. Plus, according to the September 2021 report of conservative media outlet American Greatness, he had an extramarital affair with the married South Dakota governor Kristi Noem, for whom he had long been a political advisor. Exodus 20:14 says, “You shall not commit adultery.” War Secretary Pete Hegseth reforms Chaplain Corps War Secretary Pete Hegseth says his latest reforms will allow the Chaplain Corps to fulfill its mission of being the spiritual backbone of America's military, reports The Western Journal. HEGSETH: “In previous administrations, our Chaplain Corps was infected by political correctness and secular humanism. The core functions of the Chaplain Corps were changed and watered down until they were viewed by many as nothing more than therapists. Faith and virtue were traded for self-help and self-care. “The crucible of combat tests more than the body. It tests conviction, character and spirit. The military's Chaplain Corps serves as spiritual and moral backbone of our nation's armed forces. Chaplains help forge spiritual readiness across the force, and that matters because in combat, in crisis, and in loss, a war fighter needs more than a coping mechanism. “They need truth, ‘big T' truth. They need conviction. They need a shepherd. Spiritual health is equally important to a service member's physical and emotional health.” According to a War Department news release, the number of faith codes used in the service has been winnowed down to 31. In 2017, the Pentagon issued a list of 221 groups that qualified as a religious group. Oddly enough, the list included witches and atheists, according to Stars and Stripes. Hegseth said, “It was impractical and unusable, and many codes were never used at all.” He noted that 82% of service members, who identify as being religious, used six of the codes. The War Secretary added that the chaplains will display their religious insignia on their uniforms instead of their ranks. He said, “A chaplain is first and foremost a chaplain, and an officer second. This change is a visual representation of that fact.” Christian stewardess gave her life for passengers on sinking ship And finally, on March 30th, 1899, the steamship Stella, carrying 147 passengers and 43 crew. struck some rocks in a fog while sailing to Guernsey, the second largest island in the Channel Islands in the English Channel. Mary Rogers, a cheerful, kind, and hard-working stewardess, supervised the escape of a large number of women and relinquished her own life vest to the last of them and gave up her place in the lifeboat. Four lifeboats were successfully launched and one capsized. Raising her hands to Heaven, Mary Rogers yelled, “Lord, have me!” as the ship sank beneath her within eight minutes. John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.” Or, in this case, absolute strangers. "I hate these moths." "I hate that guy." "I hate you, Mom!"We use the word "hate" casually these days, it's flippant, attached to immediate emotions. But when Jesus uses the word "hate" in John 15, He's talking about something far deeper and far more serious than Michael Scott hating Toby from The Office. Why does the world hate Jesus? And why will it hate us?The answer isn't comfortable, but it's essential: Jesus is divisive. Not because He's aggressive, vindictive, or engaging in rage-inducing clickbait. He's divisive because He's the light of the world. And when light exposes darkness, people don't always respond well. From the very beginning, before creation itself, Jesus has been divisive. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" (John 1:5). Following Jesus is a choice between light and darkness. There's no middle ground. You're either with Him or against Him.Because Jesus divides, He also exposes us for who we really are, fallen humans desperately in need of a Saviour. "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin" (v. 22). The light exposes those living in darkness. But here's the shocking part: We've been chosen by the divisive Son of God to be divisive ourselves. Just as Jesus is divisive, so are His followers. It comes with the territory of being a Christian.Joel shows what worldly hate looks like, and then contrasts it with the spiritual disgust Jesus describes. The hatred Jesus talks about isn't just dislike or frustration. It's eternal separation from the Father. But there's hope. Jesus hasn't left us alone. He's given us the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth who testifies about Jesus and empowers us to be witnesses. The same Spirit who convicts the world of sin dwells in every believer.Yet Jesus is clear: If they persecuted Him, they'll persecute us. You might be labeled a bigot, ridiculed at work, kicked out of friendship groups, or worse. Christians around the world face threats, violence, even death. But persecution isn't the goal, victimhood isn't the goal. We've been chosen for this. The encouragement? Live radically obedient lives. Let people reject you because of who Jesus is, not because of you. Abide in Him. Allow the Spirit to do the exposing. And remember: Being hated for following Jesus is a far lighter burden than the knowledge that people you love could be going to hell.Jesus has already won. The darkness has not and will not ever overcome the light that is our Lord Jesus.Series: Revealing Jesus (John 13-17) Speaker: Joel Scripture: John 15:18-16:4

Violence against Christians in Nigeria has sparked sudden international attention and debate, with some referring to the ongoing crisis as genocide. In September, news commentator Bill Maher stated that “Islamists and Boko Haram [militants] were systematically killing Christians in Nigeria, attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.” More recently, U.S. President Donald Trump declared Nigeria “a country of particular concern” and warned of military intervention if the Nigerian government failed to protect its Christian population. However, Nigerian authorities deny the claims that followers of Jesus are being deliberately targeted and that a genocide is underway. In this powerful episode of the Closer to the Fire podcast, Rev. Yunusa Nmadu, the CEO of Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria, joins host Greg Musselman to explore the facts behind the headlines. During the interview, they address the ongoing suffering of believers in Nigeria and examine whether the repeated acts of brutal violence – and the resulting large number of fatalities – amount to genocide. Biden Pardons & Autopen Controversy The discussion centers on claims that President Joe Biden improperly delegated or failed to personally authorize thousands of pardons and commutations at the end of his presidency. Cruz argues that under the Constitution, only the President can personally make pardon decisions, and if staffers used an autopen without Biden’s direct involvement, those pardons are “null and void.” The conversation highlights concerns about Biden’s alleged disengagement, potential misuse of authority by White House staff, and the legal battles that could arise if the Department of Justice revisits these pardons. Persecution of Christians in Nigeria Cruz introduces legislation addressing severe religious persecution in Nigeria, where extremist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS-West Africa have killed tens of thousands of Christians, attacked churches, and kidnapped priests. The proposed bill, the Nigeria Religious Freedom Accountability Act of 2025, would classify Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern,” impose sanctions on complicit Nigerian officials, and reinforce designations against jihadist groups. Cruz frames this as part of his long-standing advocacy for global religious freedom and draws parallels to past cases, such as Sudan’s imprisonment of Miriam Ibrahim for her Christian faith. Today, Jim and Greg each offer three key examples where the press is failing the public.First, Jim sounds the alarm on the national debt and the media's refusal to grapple with the long-term consequences of unsustainable entitlement spending. With Democrats now opposing cuts proposed by DOGE, the press is fixated on the political drama while ignoring the looming fiscal disaster. Meanwhile, Greg blasts the media for siding with illegals in deportation cases while downplaying or completely ignoring the violent crimes committed by individuals living in the U.S. illegally.Next, Jim flags the lack of serious reporting on China's growing aggression in the South China Sea, warning that the threat is real but getting very little coverage or condemnation. Greg turns to California, where wildfire victims are still waiting on government permits to rebuild their homes, just as he and Jim predicted would happen months ago. Finally, Jim asks why more Americans aren't demanding that U.S. colleges prioritize American students over international applicants. It's Thursday, April 10th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Sharp rise in persecution of Christians in Pakistan A new report from Human Rights Focus Pakistan documented a sharp rise in victimization rates against religious minorities in Pakistan during the first three months of this year.  Religious minorities, including Christians, faced more attacks, murders, blasphemy charges, abductions, forced conversions, and forced marriages.  Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern, said, “Pakistan's latest wave of atrocities against Christians in 2025 is not an aberration — it's a grotesque culmination of centuries of state-sanctioned brutality and indifference.” As of January, at least 20 Christians have been imprisoned for their faith in the Islamic country. Pakistan is ranked eighth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian.   Barcelona, Spain looking to close 17 Evangelical churches Evangelical Focus reports that 17 Evangelical churches are facing the threat of closure in Barcelona, Spain. This comes as the local government plans urban development that will affect buildings that churches own or rent. The Evangelical Council of Catalonia warns this could leave thousands of believers without a place to worship. Guillem Correa, the executive director of the group, said, “We understand that the case affects freedom of worship, and what characterizes the exercise of this right is that people can meet in the place of worship throughout the week. Without this, there is no religious freedom and no community life.” Man guilty of targeting churches with fake bombs In the United States, a federal jury returned a guilty verdict last Thursday for a 45-year-old man convicted of targeting churches. Zimnako Salah left fake bombs at churches in Arizona and California in 2023. Authorities discovered he was also building an actual bomb. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said, “This Department of Justice has no tolerance for anyone who targets religious Americans for their faith. The perpetrator of this abhorrent hate crime against Christians will face severe punishment.” Psalm 5:4-6 says, “For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with You. The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.” Trump's 90-day pause on tariffs except China President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on tariffs for imports from most nations yesterday.  Trump's baseline tariff of 10% remains in place. Meanwhile, much of the additional “reciprocal” tariffs are on hold as countries negotiate with the United States. CNBC carried Trump's remarks on the White House lawn to reporters. TRUMP: “Last year, China made $1 trillion off trade with the United States. That's not right. And now I've reversed it for a short period of time, but we're making now $2 billion a day. Somebody had to do it. “Charles Schwab was here a little while ago, one of the great financial people. He said he's been waiting for 40 years for somebody to do what I did over the last month, and if you didn't do it, you wouldn't have a country. It wouldn't be sustainable. “So, I'm honored to have done it. Nothing is over yet, but we have tremendous amount of spirit from other countries, including China. China wants to make a deal. They just don't know how quite to go about it. They're proud people. President Xi is a proud man. I know him very well, and they don't know quite how to go about it, but they'll figure it out. They want to make a deal. “We have many other countries, as you know. Many more than 75. They're all calling, ‘How do we do this?' They all want to make a deal. I did a 90-day pause for the people that didn't retaliate, because I told them, ‘If you retaliate, we're going to double it.'  And that's what I did with China, because they did retaliate.” Indeed, China was the one country which is not getting relief. Trump said he would raise tariffs on imports from China to 125%. TRUMP: “They will be fair deals for everybody, but they weren't fair to the United States. They were sucking us dry, and you can't do that. We have $36 trillion of debt for a reason.  People took advantage of our country, and they ripped us off for decades.” Stocks surge U.S. stock markets surged in response to Trump's 90-day pause on tariffs.  The S&P 500 rose 8.5% yesterday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up over 7%, and the Nasdaq Composite surged 11%. Big tech companies led much of the stock market rally. Nvidia stock was up 15%. Tesla was up 17%. And Apple, Amazon, and Meta were up about 10%.  Lowe's closes on Resurrection Sunday Lowe's is closing its stores nationwide for this coming Resurrection Sunday.  The home improvement chain will close its 1,700 locations on April 20 and give its 300,000 employees a paid day off.   Lowe's CEO Marvin Ellison said, “In recognition of our teams' continued hard work, we are pleased to provide a well-deserved day off so they can spend Easter with their loved ones.” It's the sixth year in a row that Lowe's has done this.  Send a thank you note to Marvin Ellison to let him know you appreciate that. Send it to: Marvin Ellison, Lowe's, 1000 Lowe's Blvd, Mooresville, NC 28117. 66% of U.S. adults have made a personal commitment to Jesus And finally, George Barna released its State of the Church 2025 report.  The study found 66% of U.S. adults say they have made a personal commitment to Jesus that is still important in their life today, That's up from 54% in 2021 but similar to what it was 20 years ago. This growth was fueled by young people, especially young men.  Sixty to seventy percent of men from the Gen Z and Millennial cohorts said they have made a personal commitment to follow Jesus that is still important today. However, many who made these commitments don't necessarily identify as Christian, indicating a patchwork of religious beliefs and identities.  Lamentations 3:40-41 reminds us, “Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the LORD; let us lift our hearts and hands to God in Heaven.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, April 10th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe for free by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. It's Tuesday, April 8th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Horrific Muslim persecution of Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa The Gatestone Institute's International Policy Center has released its report on the persecution of Christians in Africa.   The report claims that the West is ignoring the carnage playing out in Sub-Sahara Africa, and that Muslim “Jihadists are murdering, raping, torturing, kidnapping, enslaving, and, in some instances, burning people alive — across Africa, and now in Syria.” The newly-installed Syrian government and the al-Qaeda-affiliated HTS terrorists, are still conducting door-to-door purges, massacring religious minorities in cruel, sadistic ways. Reliable reports indicate they have massacred 7,000 Christians and Alawites, a sect of Islam. And the death toll is still rising. Jihad is spreading in at least twelve African nations. Muslim jihadists beheaded 70 Christians in the Congo in February. Church leaders are targeted, abducted, tortured, and murdered. Christian villages have been burned down. Plus, pastors, priests and lay Christians have been abducted by the Islamist Allied Democratic Forces. More than 16.2 million Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa have been driven from their homes by jihadist violence and conflict. Women and girls are abducted, forced into "marriage," forced to convert to Islam, raped, and subjected to forced labor. Some are forced to act as suicide bombers or human shields at the hands of jihadis. Boko Haram and the Islamic State West African Province regularly attack, abduct, and murder Christians in Cameroon located in Central Africa. Churches have been set on fire and church leaders and seminary students kidnapped. Plus, the report claims that no Christian is safe in Burkina Faso, a country in West Africa.  Hundreds of churches there have been closed. The Muslim-run nation of Libya, in North Africa on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, countenances widespread slavery, forced labor, and human trafficking. Sharia law is strictly upheld. For a Muslim to convert to Christianity is a crime punishable by death. Any Libyan woman suspected of associating with Christians faces house arrest, sexual assault, forced marriage, or even death. Nigeria remains the worst example of Jihadist murder and mayhem. Tens of thousands of Christians have been murdered and thousands of women and girls have been abducted and subjected to sexual violence. But, do keep in mind what Jesus said in Matthew 16:18. He declared, “On this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” British Christian nurse in trouble for referring to confused man as man More outrageousness from the United Kingdom. A nurse has lost her job with the National Health Service because she was caught referring to a pedophile transgender person as a “Mister.” Nurse Jennifer Melle, age 40, was fired from her job in Carshalton, Surrey, after having to endure the patient hurling racial slurs at her. She added, “I am devastated to have been suspended. … Despite being the one placed at risk, I am the one being punished. The message I have received is clear: I am expected to tolerate racism, deny biological reality, and suppress my deeply-held Christian beliefs." Appearing on Free Speech Nation, she shared her Biblical convictions. MELLE: “I thank Jesus for giving me the courageous spirit, standing on the Word of God. According to the Word of God, Genesis 1:27 said, ‘God created a male and female.' I just stood by it. I said, ‘Well, I'm a Christian woman, and I love the Lord, and I know beyond male and female is an abomination to the Lord. And I can't do that.'” Represented by the Christian Legal Centre, Andrea Williams, its chief executive, criticized the National Health Service for allegedly focusing on trans ideology instead of protecting its staff from racial and physical abuse. U.S.-China tariff war heats up The tit-for-tat tariff war with China is heating up.   On Friday, China announced a 34% tariff on U.S. imports as an answer to President Trump's 34% reciprocal tariff. Yesterday, the U.S. president announced an additional tariff of 50% effective tomorrow, unless China backs down, reports CBS News. Aboard Air Force One on Sunday night, President Trump did not pull any punches. TRUMP: “When you look at the trade deficit that we have with certain countries, way over a billion [dollars] per country. With China, it's a trillion dollars. And we have to solve our trade deficit with China. We have a trillion dollar trade deficit with China. Hundreds of billions of dollars a year we lose with China. And unless we solve that problem, I'm not going to make a deal. “Now, I'm willing to deal with China, but they have to solve their surplus. We have a tremendous deficit problem with China. They have a surplus of at least a trillion dollars a year. And I want that solved. No other President has taken it on.” New Yorkers need “good moral character” before carrying handgun The U.S. Supreme Court let stand a New York law that requires residents to demonstrate “good moral character” before they are permitted to carry a handgun. The law requires applicants to have “the essential character, temperament and judgement necessary to be entrusted with a weapon and to use it only in a manner that does not endanger oneself or others.” Stocks, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq down U.S. stocks are down over the last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 4,000 points, 11% down for the year.   And the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite was down by about 2,000 points, settling around 15,570 points on Monday evening. The Nasdaq is down 19% on the year, about where it was in November 2021.  Court awards 7,000 sexual abuse victims $4 billion in Los Angeles While the state-controlled foster care system is supposed to protect children, the unaccountable system, made up of sinful men and women, has become the predator. Last week, the courts awarded a record $4 billion against the Los Angeles County's juvenile detention and foster care system. The settlement was the largest of this kind, distributed to 7,000 plaintiffs — victims of unspeakable sexual abuse. L.A. officials have issued concerns that the fine might bankrupt the county.  The rise of America's “assassination culture” The Network of Contagion Research Institute and Rutgers University's Social Perception Lab have issued a report concerned with a rising “assassination culture” in the United States.  Especially troubling is the view that 31% of respondents stated it would be at least somewhat justifiable to murder Elon Musk.  And 38% said it would be at least somewhat justifiable to murder President Donald Trump. Among those who identify left of center, 48% to 55% would justify these assassinations. 22 million watched House of David finale And finally, the producers of the Amazon-released program, House of David, announced over the weekend, that the season finale had achieved #1 on Prime. WatchWonderProject took to Instagram with a message: “All glory to God!” Thus far, the program has brought in 22 million viewers. Of Amazon's new releases in 2025, House of David has taken the top position, holding its own in the top 10 for 38 days. Producer and writer for House of David, Jon Erwin, previously produced Christian films like October Baby, I Can Only Imagine, and American Underdog. The studio has announced a forthcoming Season 2. I am pleased to deliver to you Episode 174 where I report on President Trump's address to the joint session of Congress, the beginning of Ramadan, the history of the Temple Mount, the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Jude 33 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. President Donald Trump's speech on Tuesday evening resonated deeply with people of faith, as he reaffirmed his commitment to religious liberty, family values, and policies that align with conservative principles. His address emphasized the importance of protecting American traditions, defending religious freedoms, and ensuring that faith remains central to the nation's moral and cultural fabric. Religious Liberty: Trump pledged to protect religious institutions and individuals from government overreach, reaffirming support for faith-based organizations.Family & Traditional Values: Emphasized strong families, pro-life policies, and resisting cultural shifts away from traditional values.National Security & Christian Communities: Highlighted victories against ISIS and reinforced commitment to protecting persecuted Christians globally.Economic Empowerment for Faith-Based Groups: Advocated fair trade and deregulation to strengthen faith-based charities, churches, and businesses.  It's clear by the agenda that has been set before the American people by our commander in chief that we, the faith community, have a lot to celebrate - but also a lot of work to do.We have an administration that will work with us, celebrate, and even champion our values. It is also evident that our nation is still greatly divided, and therefore, we have the significant responsibility to pray for our leaders and pray for our nation.

It's Thursday, January 16th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Top 10 worst countries for persecution of Christians Open Doors US released their 2025 World Watch List yesterday. The report covers the 50 worst countries for the persecution of Christians. The ten worst countries are North Korea, Somalia, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Eritrea, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan. Once again, North Korea tops the list for a 23rd year in a row. The report found 380 million Christians face high levels of persecution. That's one in seven believers worldwide. From October 2023 to September 2024, 4,476 Christians were killed for their faith, 4,744 Christians were detained, arrested, or sentenced for their faith, and 209,771 Christians were forced to leave their homes.   Hebrews 13:3 says, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.” Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage exchange Israel and Hamas reportedly agreed to a ceasefire yesterday brokered by America, Egypt, and Qatar.  If successfully completed, the agreement would end 15 months of fighting.  The deal would begin with Hamas releasing 33 hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned in Israel. The agreement also involves more humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. Both President Joe Biden's administration and President-elect Donald Trump's team cooperated in making the agreement.  Biden removes Cuba from list of state sponsors of terrorism In other international news, President Biden announced that the United States would remove Cuba from its list of state sponsors of terrorism. It's one of Biden's last official acts before Trump takes office next Monday. However, the Trump administration may reverse the decision.  At this moment, Cuba has promised to release 553 prisoners, likely including people imprisoned during anti-government protests in 2021.  The agreement was brokered by the Catholic Church to secure the release of political prisoners.  Vatican's approval of sexual perversion Speaking of the Catholic Church, the Vatican approved a document in favor of sexually perverted lifestyles. The Italian Bishops' Conference published the document last Friday.  The provisions allow candidates for priesthood to have “homosexual tendencies.” However, priests are still required to live in celibacy.  Proverbs 25:26 says, “Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.” Biden awarded Pope Francis Presidential Medal of Freedom President Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom with distinction to Pope Francis on Saturday.  It's the highest civilian award of the United States, and it's the first time Biden awarded the medal “with distinction.” The White House praised Pope Francis as being “unlike any who came before.” However, Fox News notes, “Francis, 88, has pushed to open the Church to the modern world since he took the helm in 2013. He has drawn criticism from some U.S. Catholics for his support of … positions that are contrary to Church teachings.” Marco Rubio: Emphasizing “national interest above all else is not isolationism.” Yesterday, Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, whom Trump has nominated to be his Secretary of State, outlined his vision before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, reports CBS News. RUBIO: “We are once again called to create a free world out of the chaos. And this will not be easy. And it will be impossible without a strong and a confident America that engages in the world, putting our core national interests once again above all else. In Moscow, in Tehran, in Pyongyang, dictators, rogue states now sow chaos and instability and align with and they fund radical terror groups. And then they hide behind their veto power at the United Nations Security Council or the threats of nuclear war. “The post war global order is not just obsolete. It is now a weapon being used against us. Placing our core national interest above all else is not isolationism. It is the common sense realization that a foreign policy centered in our national interest is not some outdated relic.” Ted Cruz asked Trump's Attorney General, Pam Bondi, pick whether she would be fair In addition, Pam Bondi, the former Florida Attorney General, also appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee   She  vowed to end the weaponization of the Justice Department, saying her focus will be on reducing crime and upholding the law, reports CBS News. Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas opened his time this way. CRUZ: “I don't know that there is a more important position in this new administration than the position to which you have been nominated, Attorney General of the United States. Perhaps the most tragic legacy of the Biden-Harris administration has been the politicization and the weaponization of the United States Department of Justice. Joe Biden publicly mused and allowed the New York Times to report it, calling on Merrick Garland: ‘Why will he not prosecute Trump more quickly?'  Merrick Garland, sadly, he sat in that chair and promised to be apolitical, and he broke that promise almost the instant he walked into the Department of Justice. “If you look on the west pediment of the Supreme Court of the United States, just above the entrance, there's a simple, yet profound, four word phrase: ‘Equal justice under law.'  We have seen over the last four years a Department of Justice that systematically targeted the political opponents of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and that systematically protected his friends and allies. I don't think there's an institution in America who has lost more respect from the American people than the FBI has in the last four years. “So, I want to start with just a very simple question, if you, [Pam Bondi], are confirmed as Attorney General, will you pledge to fairly and faithfully uphold the law regardless of party?” BONDI: “So help me, God!” CRUZ: “Amen. I want to be clear for folks at home, I don't want a Republican Department of Justice. I don't want a Democrat Department of Justice. I want a Department of Justice that follows the law, and I think the American people do too. That shouldn't be too much to expect.” Trump plans to create the External Revenue Service President-elect Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he plans to create a new agency to collect tariffs from foreign sources. He began by criticizing the Internal Revenue Service on Truth Social. He wrote, “For far too long, we have relied on taxing our Great People using the Internal Revenue Service.  … Through soft and pathetically weak Trade agreements, the American Economy has delivered growth and prosperity to the World, while taxing ourselves.”  Trump went on to say, “It is time for that to change. I am today announcing that I will create the EXTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE to collect our Tariffs, Duties, and all Revenue that come from Foreign sources.” 935 languages still need a Bible translation And finally, Wycliffe Global Alliance has published their 2024 Global Scripture Access Report. The report notes that there are 7,396 languages in the world spoken by at least 7.45 billion people. Currently, 756 languages have full Bibles, an increase of 20 languages from 2023. About 10% of all languages now have full Bibles, accounting for 6 billion people.   Additionally, the number of languages needing Bible translation to start is 985, down 283 from 2023. The total number of languages with at least some portion of Scripture has reached 3,756. That's about half of all languages and accounts for 7.3 billion people.  Isaiah 52:7 says, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.'” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, January 16th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.
