This past Sunday was the 9 month mark since Israel was attacked by Hamas. This is obviously much longer than the 6 day war of 1967 and even more tragic than America's 9-11 attack. Nonetheless, Israel continues in its efforts to defeat Hamas while attempts to establish a cease-fire have failed. --With more on this issue as well as his call to stand with Israel, Crosstalk welcomed Pastor Jim Scudder, Jr. Pastor Scudder is pastor of Quentin Road Baptist Church in Lake Zurich, Illinois. He's an author and is speaker on the program In Grace which airs on WVCY Television, VCY.tv, on the VCY America Radio Network and other facilities across the country. Pastor Scudder has a passion for souls and a desire to teach others about our Savior's love.--Discussion began with Pastor Scudder talking about the length of the battle with Hamas, the 120 individuals who remain as hostages and the world's reaction at this point in time. While it's true that immediately after the Hamas attack there was great sympathy toward Israel, now it's turned in the other direction as antisemitism, both in America and abroad, continues to increase. --While we should fight the evil of antisemitism, is God using it to call Jews back to their homeland for the wrap-up of history-- This program answers that question while pointing out what all of us need to remember- Salvation is available to everyone and the Gospel is the answer. Let's share that Gospel, while standing as individuals and churches, with the people through whom our scriptures were written and our Savior was born.

The Final Gospel For The First TimeBy Tammy Lacock What does it mean when Warren Litzman says people are hearing the Final Gospel for the first time?  Well, first we must define what is the Final Gospel. It can be found in over 146 verses throughout the New Testament but most consistently in Paul's epistles because it was revealed to him directly by Christ Himself. The Final Gospel is synonymous with the Grace Gospel because it is by the death and resurrection of Christ that we were led into what we now live in, the Dispensation of Grace. We are no longer under the law of the Old Testament, which states that we must do something to please God. In Grace, by faith in Christ alone as our Savior, we are blameless before God. The moment we believe, we are born again, a new creation, with Christ as our new life. No longer are we identified by our past (our former sin-nature); our new life is Christ. There is no separation between us and Christ. We are joined in one Spirit with Christ and, therefore, children of our Heavenly Father. It is the Final Gospel because in this Dispensation of Grace which we now live in, believers are on our way to the rapture and on our way to our Heavenly Father's house. We must be born again to enter in! This Final Gospel was revealed to Warren for the first time after many years of ministry. In 1960, when he was staying at the Peachtree hotel In Atlanta, his Bible opened up to Paul's epistles and “like neon letters,” he saw verse after verse with the “In Christ,” “In Him,” “In you,” and "In whom” position. The Holy Spirit dropped into his soul this revelation knowledge. It opened up a whole new world to him, and he's been sharing this truth to anyone and everyone who will listen ever since....to the ends of the earth!  “And that he might reconcile both onto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you who were afar off, and to them that were nigh” (Eph. 2:16-17, KJV) Warren Litzman focuses on Ephesians 2:16-17. What does it mean to be “reconciled both unto God in one body by the cross?”  Paul declared that ALL, both Israel (the Jews) and Gentiles, are under this Dispensation of Grace, and both can be saved by just believing in Jesus as Savior. By the cross, all might be saved. When Jesus came to this earth, He came as the Messiah to save Israel. They rejected Him. However, when He went back to Heaven, He gave the Final Grace Gospel to the Apostle Paul which included both Jews and Gentiles, that ALL by believing would be born again and become children of God.  “Having slain the enmity” in verse 16 speaks of the reconciliation of Jews and Gentiles into one body, the Body of Christ. Paul said “in Christ,” there are no Jews, no Gentiles, no Greeks, no females, no males, no other identity other than Christ. Christ is all and is in all! We are not separate from Christ, and we are not separate from each other. As believers, we are born again and are children of God! The Holy Spirit is revealing this Final Gospel to many for the first time. People are hearing it and passing it onto others in this final hour. It is happening and it must reach every last person before Christ returns!

It was so wonderful to chat with Grace of Maker Mountain Fabrics about hew sewing shed. What is a sewing shed you ask? Well, for Grace, it is her workspace - a separate structure she built on her property to run her business from. But it is also a symbol of all the things she hopes and works hard for in her business. The shed is literally a physical representation to the dedication Grace has to her business and her commitment to the work she does - also to the confident decision she made to invest in herself. For Grace the decision to build the shed was a "now or never" moment. I spoke with her about how she felt facing this large investment, what her motivation was, how she overcame the fear and what's happened since she has had the shed! This episode addresses something all business owners will face at one point or another: having to decide to go all in or stay status quo. In Grace's case, building her sewing shed meant saying yes to her business and its future. I'm excited for you to hear from Grace about how this investment of time, effort and money was a family affair and a true commitment to her business. My father told me, “music is a waste of a good mind” and I've spent my entire life proving him wrong. -Linda Marks When she was about 3 years old, Linda Marks toddled over to the piano and started to play. She didn't talk very much…it was the piano that set her free. Ever since that day, this exceptional woman has been singing and writing songs from her heart. What's really interesting about her life story is that she is also a pioneer in heart centered psychotherapy. A graduate of Yale and the Sloan School at MIT, Linda developed EKP: Emotional-Kinesthetic Psychotherapy, she is the author of two landmark books: Living With Vision: Reclaiming the Power of the Heart and Healing the War Between the Genders: The Power of the Soul Centered Relationship. The heart is at the center of everything Linda Marks does, including her music. Now in a very exciting “next chapter” of her life, she is finally able to dive into her music with both feet. Linda's latest album is titled In Grace and features songs of the heart, and social consciousness. In this interview, she reveals a tragic childhood where every talent, hope and dream was dashed, the demands of single parenthood, and the joy of reclaiming what brings her joy. If you have faced hardship and need a role model, this is the interview for you.      @BWME    #storybehindhersuccess    #16LifeLessons    #mydoveproductions

History • HE BROUGHT THEM OUT TO BRING THEM IN, that is he brought them out of slavery in Egypt, he made his presence physically known, he fed them with manna everyday and cared for them for 40 years, now he’s going to bring them into the best land that has everything they could want or desire a land that was rich, a fertile land a land that would provide all they needed. Newfrontiers - Together on a globe mission Verse 1 The move from Acacia grove to the banks of the Jordan river Verse 2 to 4 Instructions for crossing the Jordan Verse 5 Purify yourselves, perpetration for seeing the miraculous Heard what God did for their ancestors Now see what God will do for them Verse 6 Making sure the ark of the covenant is in the right place The ark symbolises the presence of God with then It contained the 2 tablets with the ten commandments and Aaron's Staff What’s next? For Joshua? Verse 7 & 8 • God appointed leader he was there when they came out of Egypt • He went through the Red Sea • He went to spy the land • He had served Moses and unknown servant • He was a man of God Full of faith • Joshua was to have the same recognition as Moses received from God • Joshua had clear instructions as to what God intended to happen • God chose this time to show to the people that Joshua was Gods mans appointed for this time • We can see why God had said to Joshua be bold and very courageous he needed to be, • God asked him to do things that would take courage For the People - Verse 9 to 13 • Camped by the river in Springtime • The river was now in flood • Not the time to cross • God was about to show himself to be great among the people • They were to listen to the words of the Lord their God – Sometimes we can forget to Listen to our God or chose to ignore him as we think we know better. • This is how you will know that God is among you (Physical Evidence) • Clear instruction and guidance Verse 14 to 17 The people went to cross the Jordan In flood and impossible to cross Miraculous follows obedience Not an insignificant miracle Presence of God necessary for the miraculous Everyone crosses on dry ground Obstacles are Gods opportunities to show us his love and grace and his mighty power to Gods Heart is to do you good to work out in you his work of Love and Grace beyond our human understanding Sometimes he has to take us out to bring us in I mean by that he brings us to places where we have to make a decision to leave behind and to move into a new place god has for us The familiar is always more comfortable, why does it have to change? Hebrews 13 v 20-21 A great shepherd of the sheep – God equipping us with everything good for doing his will and working in us what is pleasing to him In verse 9 the writer says this “it is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace”( esv) Questions 1) the people of God were told to purify themselves and they would see God do wonderful things, why was this important to do? 2) They were told to to follow the instructions because they had not been this way before, how is this relevant to us? 3) the Jordan river was in flood why did God choose this time for them to cross, what does it say about God? what does it say about the people? What does it teach us? 4) Hebrews 13 we find the writing asking God to equip us with everything Good to do his will and that our hearts will be strengthened in In Grace. Are there any areas in which you need either equipping or strengthening? Share and pray for one another.

9 Things We Learned About Phones From a Teenager

High school is pretty much how you remember it, but the mean girls don't have to look you in the eyes anymore. There has been a lot of back and forth about how teenagers do and don't use social media recently. The conclusions? Don't generalize. Ask teenagers what they think. Listen. So, because phone behavior is endlessly fascinating to the New Tech City team, we decided to do just that. On this week's episode, 16-year-old Grace was kind enough to keep an audio diary of everything she does on her phone. Hear her navigate through endless app alerts, group messaging drama, clueless grown-ups, that bizarre old technology of email and even how she handles a sext request. Grace has some pretty good advice all around, even if you don't know any teens: 1. Cyberbullying is, more often than not, minor burns. “Of course people say like snotty things...or someone will unfollow someone on Instagram or something like that, but its not, like, awful awful like ‘Go kill yourself.'” 2. Not every picture goes on Snapchat or Instagram. (Jackie Snow)   In fact, some get locked away. Grace uses the Photo Vault app, which puts pics behind a passcode. It's free and can be downloaded here. 3. Anonymous Apps like Whisper and Yik Yak? Way over. 'Yaks,' as they are called, can only be seen by people in the same geographic location, like a few miles around a school for instance.  (Jackie Snow)   Grace did do a little Yakking on Yik Yak, but once too many people joined in on the anonymous posting, "it was just bizarre." Like Tamagotchi and hairbands in Central New Jersey, anonymous apps have come in and out of style. 4.  There's always one kid making everyone jealous. In Grace's town, getting a phone at the end of elementary school or beginning of middle school is the norm. But: “There is always, like, one kid who gets it super early.”  5. Sexting is not widespread (or, at least, not taken seriously). (Courtesy of Grace)   6. There is still paper in school. Typing on a tiny keyboard does not improve handwriting. (Courtesy of Grace) Besides essays (which are typed, 12-point font, and double-spaced) Grace's assignments have her writing out her work by hand. 7. There's a trick to recharging your phone faster during class. Putting your phone on airplane mode before plugging it in speeds up charge times. You might not be able to get Internet or texts, but if you're in a rush, this is the way to go. This video by CNET last year showed a phone charging a whole four minutes sooner in airplane mode. Turning it off completely would go even faster. But then, you know, your phone is off. 8. Acronyms: so LOL. Despite articles like this warning parents about all the acronyms kids use, Grace said it's not the case. Out of the list, she says she only sees “THOT” and “420.” “These rest are made up or weirdos use,” Grace said. She's got some new ones though that she and friends make up as they go along.  9. Trust your kids. This is the most important. Grace advises parents to respect their kids' phones, unless they have reason to believe their child needs help. “Not every kid is sexting. Your kid is probably not sexting. Don't go through their phones, that's not good... even if you have good intentions, it's going to backfire.” It really is probably more innocent than you think.
