The second release from my little baby is finally here, and I couldn't be prouder. After the Shuttered debut, I knew the next step would be a bit harder in solidifying the identity and the direction of the label. It represents everything I believe, musically speaking: an obsessive attention to details, emotional depth, an authentic sonic vision. "In This World" captures a sense of belonging, introspection, and openness to the world around me. It's a track I feel deeply connected to, marking an important step in the new born label's journey: a space for vision, emotion, and sonic identity. Made of light and shadow, suspended harmonies, and details that reveal themselves listen after listen this track was born from a desire to tell something about me, where I am now, in my time when everything moves so fast. I wanted to slow down, breathe, and let the sounds have room to live. https://www.beatport.com/track/in-this-world/20210794

Who Were The Comedian Harmonists? The True Story Behind Broadway's Harmony
“Who Were The Comedian Harmonists? The True Story Behind Broadway's Harmony” is a podcast produced by Harmony: A New Musical and Broadway News. Songs In This Episode: “Stars In The Night” from Harmony: A New Musical "In This World" from Harmony: A New Musical Guests In This Episode (in order of appearance): Blake Roman, "Chopin" in Harmony Jan Grübler, Historian Bruce Sussman, Co-Writer of Harmony Beryn Hammil, Ursula's daughter from second marriage Mentioned In This Episode: "Ich hab' für dich 'nen Blumentopf bestellt" "My Little Green Cactus" Watch the Comedian Harmonists perform together Learn More About The Comedian Harmonists: www.thecomedianharmonists.com Learn More About Harmony A New Musical: www.harmonyanewmusical.com In 1927, a young man in Germany placed an ad in the local paper: “Attention. Rare opportunity. Tenor, Bass (professional singer not over 25), musically talented, nice-sounding voices, for unique ensemble. Kindly give days and times when available [for rehearsals, etc.]” Out of that two-line ad, came one of the most celebrated music acts of the 20th century: the Comedian Harmonists. The internationally renowned vocal group made over 200 recordings, performed in over 150 concerts around the world and appeared in numerous films. They played the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Coliseum and Radio City Music Hall. And yet, for most, the name “Comedian Harmonists” doesn't ring a bell. How could that be? Well, the Comedian Harmonists rose to fame in the late 1920s and early 1930s in Germany — and half of its members were Jewish. Because of this, the Nazi regime designated the work of the Comedian Harmonists “degenerate art” and much of it was destroyed. Lost to history. But…not all of it. The little that there was inspired writer Bruce Sussman to dig into the story of the Comedian Harmonists and, with his artistic partner Barry Manilow, create a musical uncovering their music, artistry and stories for the world to know and remember. “Harmony” officially opened on Broadway November 13, 2023 at the Ethel Barrymore Theater . And yet, there is only so much history one can fit into a Broadway musical. As Bruce said… “I just needed to simplify, pair it down.” “There were so many things that I could have done, but I had to make choices. As Sondheim famously wrote, the choice may be wrong, but the choosing is right.” Harmony closed on February 4, 2024 but the lost history it resurrected is worth a closer look. In this podcast, “Who Were The Comedian Harmonists? The True Story Behind Broadway's Harmony”, we're digging deeper into the true story of the Comedian Harmonists. I'm your host, Ruthie Fierberg, executive editor of Broadway News. Over the course of this series, we'll dive into the full history of the Comedian Harmonists — it's more complicated than you think. We'll learn the details about each of the six famous singers — where they grew up, their musical specialty, their personal lives and what happened after their time with the group. Plus, you'll hear from creatives and cast members about using this history to create “Harmony” onstage. Join us. There's a lot to uncover. From El Capitan in Yosemite to Tham Luang Nang Non cave in northern Thailand and Meru Peak in the Indian Himalayas, Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin (her partner in filmmaking and in life) have captured the imagination of audiences worldwide with intimate, non-fiction portrayals of outdoor athletes pushing themselves to extremes. Free Solo, their 2018 film, won the Academy Award for Best Documentary. Their first scripted project, Nyad, boasts Oscar-nominated performances from Annette Benning and Jodie Foster. The film that blew Chai's mind? Michael Winterbottom's 2002 In This World, which blurs the lines of fiction and documentary to convey the story of an Afghani boy's journey from a Pakistani refugee camp to London. She joins Cooper and Tabitha to explore the finer points of Winterbottom's film and dives into questions of truth vs fiction, the nuances of working with real-life characters, and how the relationships she cultivates with her participants are essential to her filmmaking craft. A genre-bending debut with a fiercely political heart, A Haunting in Hialeah Gardens (Dutton, 2023) explores the weight of the devil's bargain, following the lengths one man will go to for the promise of freedom. Hugo Contreras's world in Miami has shrunk. Since his wife died, Hugo's debt from her medical bills has become insurmountable. He shuffles between his efficiency apartment, La Carreta (his favorite place for a cafecito), and a botanica in a strip mall where he works as the resident babaláwo. One day, Hugo's nemesis calls. Alexi Ramirez is a debt collector who has been hounding Hugo for years, and Hugo assumes this call is just more of the same. Except this time Alexi is calling because he needs spiritual help. His house is haunted. Alexi proposes a deal: If Hugo can successfully cleanse his home before Noche Buena, Alexi will forgive Hugo's debt. Hugo reluctantly accepts, but there's one issue: Despite being a babaláwo, he doesn't believe in spirits. Hugo plans to do what he's done with dozens of clients before: use sleight of hand and amateur psychology to convince Alexi the spirits have departed. But when the job turns out to be more than Hugo bargained for, Hugo's old tricks don't work. Memories of his past--his childhood in the Bolivian silver mines and a fraught crossing into the United States as a boy--collide with Alexi's demons in an explosive climax. Equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking, A Haunting in Hialeah Gardens explores questions of visibility, migration, and what we owe--to ourselves, our families, and our histories. Raul Palma is a second generation Cuban American, born and raised in Miami. His short story collection In This World of Ultraviolet Light won the 2021 Don Belton prize. Today's meditation comes from The Book Of First Samuel in The Old Testament and from the writings of Albert Schweitzer, with music by In This World.Passage: Whenever the tormenting spirit troubled Saul, David would play the harp, the evil spirit would go away, and Saul would feel better. —1 Samuel 16:23Perspective: There are two means of refuge from the misery of life — music and cats. ―Albert SchweitzerMusic: “Ancient Scrolls” by In This WorldNarrator: Ryan Phipps
What if BEING generous results in GETTING the most valuable commodity in the world? What if giving what you cannot keep gains what you can not EARN? (Thank you Jim Elliott.)A valuable thing IN THIS WORLD is PRAYER. Perhaps it is the most valuable thing. It connects the needs and ache and despair of this world to another world. It asks of God to come and help us. It is certainly priceless to know we are not alone here and that God is with us and for us.Here's the insight for today's podcast. The result of the Corinthians generosity has resulted in the receiving group returning something even MORE VALUABLE: their prayers for the Corinthians. It is something you cannot buy anywhere. Please pray for me. Pray for this podcast. It is a treasure I could never purchase. After you pray, please share, like, comment, subscribe on YouTube, FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, or apple podcasts. bewithme.us
La music story du jour c'est celle de Moby… Moby c'est l'un de ces noms qui ont marqué l'histoire des musiques électroniques. On lui doit des hits comme « Porcelain », « Natural Blues » ou encore « In This World ». Mais Moby c'est surtout un New Yorkais pur sucre, vegan, 100% écolo et l'incarnation qu'on peut être DJ, producteur et être engagé politiquement. Il le prouve encore une fois avec le single « Rescue Me »
Karakalpaksha worship song - "In This World".3gp / Каракалпакская поклонения Песня - "В этом мире".3gp // КОР.

In this workshop you will learn how to articulate powerful and creative affirmations. In a broad sense, we are affirming something all the time, but the truth is, some of us know what that is and some of us don't. We may be regularly affirming the limits of our day. If you answered with a resounding ‘yes' (or even a ‘maybe?'), then this episode is for you!As empaths and HSPs, it's easy to feel like we don't quite fit into the world around us since society simply isn't designed to value sensitivity. And that, my friend, is exactly why this episode is so important. In it we cover:What it means to be “in” this world instead of “of” this world and why it matters,How to embrace who you truly are,The reason so many empaths and HSPs feel different,Why being wired differently doesn't make you weird,And more!Support the show (https://buymeacoffee.com/empathup)

“IN THIS WORLD, THERE IS ALWAYS DANGER FOR THOSE WHO ARE AFRAID OF IT.” George Bernard Shaw Have you ever stopped and took the time to analyze why you want the things you want? Sure, it would be nice to get that nice car and the house on the hill. But is that something you really want, or is it something you think will provide a particular outcome? I know that’s a bit deep, but just walk with me for a second. What if the titles, goals, achievements, and attention were all just a means to an end? With that being said, wouldn’t it be good to know what exactly that “end” really is? There is so much noise in the world today. There are so many media outlets literally bombarding us with news. The news cycle can be daunting. We barely have time to process information, before we are hit with more. In Psalm 91, we are encouraged to know, that He will surely deliver us from the pestilence and the noise around us. Sometimes it is not as much the virus that is alarming, rather, it is the constant noise around us that can rattle our senses. We must become rooted and grounded in our identity in Christ. If we don’t truly know who we are, we will never truly appreciate and activate what we have. The goodness of Christ in the New Covenant and the blessings that it affords us, are not based on works or ritual. Everything we have is based on our identity in Christ Jesus. We are who the Father says we are, no matter what may be going on around us. In First John 4:17, it says,” Herein is our love made perfect, that we might have boldness in the day of trouble, because as He is, so are we in this present world.” This is where our boldness comes from. As Jesus is, so are we, IN THIS WORLD! Your identity is secured in this present world. Everything God has for you He means for you to be able to access NOW! Don’t allow yourself to be robbed of who you are in Christ Jesus.
The first person harmed by anger is oneself. The Buddha said that harming others in anger is like thrusting a burning torch at another person, but doing it upwind, so that the flames blow and scorch our own face. In this episode we look at an antidote to anger, the practice of loving kindness. Lovingkindness is the intention that wishes another to be happy. A prayer of loving kindness is “May you be happy, may you be free [from suffering]”. In this episode we meditated on loving kindness in three rounds as an antidote to our own anger. First loving kindness to ourselves, recognizing the anger harms us terribly. Secondly, will you choose someone that we normally have intermittent anger towards at the moment and weTo think about the ways that this person suffers and wish them to be happy and free. Finally, we generated loving kindness towards all living beings and imagined we sent out rays of light to each living being bringing them happiness and freedom from hatred. We imagined a world beyond hatred, where all wars have ceased and all people practice lovingkindness towards one another. Being mindful of our own anger and trying to quell it before it manifest through lovingkindness is our mindfulness practice for the week. Ah, so happily we live, Without hate among those with hate. Among people who hate We live without hate. (197)* —Buddha, The Dhammpada References Buddha. The Dhammapada: The Buddha’s Path of Wisdom. Translated by Acharya Buddharakkhita. It’s a lovely, wonderful story. Special Guest: Nicholas Wolterstorff .
Most of the time, we hear stories of success and rapid fame out of the music industry. It's rare to hear the behind-the-scenes perspective of how that artist got there and the sacrifices they had to make for a worthy cause. Today, I am speaking with a young up-and-coming artist that you need to know about. Joel Vaughn is on the rise, but his path to the music industry was anything but straightforward or easy. He's going to give you the inside scoop on what it takes to sign to a label, produce a record, and then deal with the ebb and flow of fame and recognition. Joel started out by leading worship in just about every church in the Texas panhandle. While he enjoyed it and was clearly good at leading worship, Joel couldn't deny the doors that were opening up in the music industry. Taking a leap of faith, Joel moved his family to Nashville to record music. In 2016, everything was coming up roses. He had a hit song appear on Dude Perfect, and all signs pointed to another strong year after landing a record deal. However, just because you land a record deal doesn't mean everything lands perfectly. Listen this week as Joel shares the sacrifices, side jobs, and struggles that Joel faced as he made the transition to music. If you ever wanted to know how musicians make ends meet, Joel will clue you in. Above it all, Joel keeps his eyes on the mission—to make great music that will lead people to Jesus. Along the way, he will have to wrestle his pride, take a few hard knocks, and realize that everyone making Christian music is working together towards the same goal. It's really an inspiring story from an artist you will want to support. More in this episode: Joel shares who he is, and the background that has led him to the music world. Lessons learned on the church worship team gave Joel deep roots in writing music. Why Joel is pursuing music full-time. God clearly opened doors for Joel to be signed to Christian record labels. How a one song deal for Dude Perfect exploded Joel's career. 2017 was the year of silence. The songs that put Joel on the map were “In This World,” “Wide Awake,” and “As You Are.” It's a struggle to stand out in the music industry. Behind the scenes of someone in the record industry. How Indy Artists make things happen financially. Everyone in Nashville wishes the best for the others in the industry. The ministry is the reason! You have boldness and access with confidence His Throne of Grace. So Tell Him Your Troubles Candidly; He Already Knows about the. And You Will Find That He Will Give You Mercy for Your Failures, and Good Help in His Perfect Timing by His Grace. (Hebrews 4:16)
Teaching Saints that they have to confess sins is bad doctrine! There are some who believe that you not only have to confess your sin to be saved, but you must confess sin on an ongoing basis to remain “clean.” If you hang around church folk long enough, you will hear talk of a “1st John cleaning of your robe of righteousness.” Many of these folks are well meaning – their hearts are in the right place. But here’s where the concept of ongoing confession falls flat – let’s look at the text: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) I really think this is one of those passages of Scripture that dealt with something situational that, in turn, has had a doctrine developed around it. Think about this – there is nowhere else in the New Testament that confession is part of repentance. Moreover, there is no place where either Jesus or Paul required a confession from anyone. If you don’t know that you’re a sinner then you won’t see the need for a savior because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved (Romans 10:9-10) In order to be saved, we must repent of our sin, believe in our hearts Jesus died for our sins, and confess Him as Lord. That’s it. So if we confess our sin (once), he cleanses us from unrighteousness (eternally). This lines up with 2 Corinthians 5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Now, if our righteousness is in Him, it is because we are in Him (John 15:4-7). The Bible says that in Him, there is no sin (1 John 3:5). If God cleans it, it is clean - period! As Jesus IS so ARE we IN THIS WORLD (1 John 4:17). If Jesus is clean, so are we! There is no sin in Him and we must be clean to abide in a sinless environment! The Bible tells us that the devil is the accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10) and that his aim is to steal from us, kill us, and destroy us. The bible also tells us on numerous occasions that our words have power (Proverbs 18:21). So what you release from your mouth has the ability to empower and embolden the devil to use what you say against you. Sadly, satan uses religion and its adherents to coerce a confession from you – and, if you don’t know your rights as a Kingdom Citizen, you may confess something you ought not. Don’t believe me? Just ask Job (Job 3:24)! Confession, as it’s taught by adherents to religion gives the devil ammunition to do his dirt against you. This can manifest in the worst kind of confession – confession of sin to other people. The go-to Scripture for this is James 5:16 – but I’m going to tell you something that’ll help you: We are to confess our FAULTS, not our SINS. What do you mean, preacher? Simply this – that if I have a fault, such as an anger management issue, I should tell someone. This way I have someone to pray with me because they know my fault. Now, if my anger management issue leads me to punch someone in the face because of a traffic altercation, I have let my fault lead me into sin. If I tell the wrong person about this, they can easily use this as a lever against me. See my point? Moreover, the Bible tells us that we are to have no more consciousness of sin (Hebrews 10:2) and God, Himself, said He would remember our sins no more (Hebrews 8:12, 10:17). In other words, we don’t have to confess that which we are to have no consciousness of! So, if God forgets it, who are we to remember it? Here’s where the rubber meets the road: if there is a requirement to confess sin, then those folks who tell someone who lost their child or their job or their home, that “it had to have been because of some unconfessed or hidden sin in your life…” are correct. Heaven forbid! And, sadly,
Night Shadows - Stewart Best & Larry Taylor - "The Liars of Christianity & the Lies They Tell" http://the-portal.proboards.com/thread/1374/liars-christianity-lies-tell-all#ixzz4euCBVgA7*** The show was Randy's "To Free America" and was very wide-ranging and covered a number of topics, and it centered down on FAKE CHRISTIANITY, and it's FAKE SALVATION MESSAGE. It is all in the Bible folks and the Bible is a real and true PARANORMAL BOOK given to us from another dimension. It tells us that humanity is under some sort of veil that does not allow us to see what is really beyond our small time-space continuum. It is this OTHER UNSEEN DIMENSION that is the underpinning of everything in our existence. It is simply INVISIBLE to us, but the Bible is mistaken to be a RELIGIOUS BOOK, when in fact, it DEMOLISHES ALL RELIGIONS, PHILOSOPHIES, ISMS and takes one on an incredible journey into a paranormal world, unlike anything one can imagine. Listen carefully and learn the REAL TRUTH behind all that there is IN THIS WORLD.

Isaiah 61:1-3 This is the work of Christ Those verses address our engagement with God. The following is what happens after that transformation. The Leadership Center recruits and trains missionaries to minister in urban settings. This usually involves being undone and redone, and coming face to face with ignorances. Most of our days start off with “I don't know what I'm doing” Urban Missions Training participants work in our neighborhood, in our businesses, next to missionaries and Narrow Gate participants. We are come next to serious problems, like family members of our employees being murdered. This is overwhelming. Our neighborhood has about 2000 unemployed people (just under 50%). Jason talked to WashU students about economic development. This requires addressing pain, compassion, sacrifice, ministry. This vision requires different expectations about life, different understanding and expression of the Gospel, different way of functioning as a business and non-profit. Doctrine is very important, but it should affect your actions. Align your practice with your theology. Separate ourselves from the patterns of the world and the patterns of our forefathers to seek God's design. Living in Shared Resources – Sun Ministries missionaries are unpaid. This is not a commune. The environment is shared, items are shared, we supply needs from the same pot of money. We get this vision from Acts 2, and from the teachings of Jesus and the Gospel of the Kingdom. This actually inspires a greater sense of concern for your responsibilities, space, shared items, etc. Songs Heath McNease – Til We Have Faces https://heathmcnease.bandcamp.com/track/til-we-have-faces Shaun Groves – Jesus https://soundcloud.com/shaungroves/jesus?in=shaungroves/sets/twilight This episode originally broadcast live on June 5, 2015 on KXEN 1010AM in St. Louis, MO For more info: www.sunministries.org Theme music: “The Resistance” by Josh Garrels (www.joshgarrels.com) licensed by Marmoset Music (www.marmosetmusic.com) Additional music: “In This World” by Enter the Worship Circle. In the book of 1 John, the Apostle John was refuting the infiltration of bad doctrine. The Gnostics were telling people they didn’t have to confess their sin to be saved, when we know that is incorrect. Today, I want to talk about a Forced or a Coerced Confession. There are some who believe that you not only have to confess your sin to be saved, but you must confess sin on an ongoing basis to remain “clean.” If you hang around church folk long enough, you will hear talk of a “1st John cleaning of your robe of righteousness.” Many of these folks are well meaning - their hearts are in the right place. But here’s where the concept of ongoing confession falls flat - let’s look at the text: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) I really think this is one of those passages of Scripture that dealt with something situational that, in turn, has had a doctrine developed around it. Think about this - there is nowhere else in the New Testament that confession is part of repentance. As Jesus IS so ARE we IN THIS WORLD (1 John 4:17) The Bible tells us that the devil is the accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10) and that his aim is to steal from us, kill us, and destroy us. The bible also tells us on numerous occasions that our words have power (Proverbs 18:21). So what you release from your mouth has the ability to empower and embolden the devil to use what you say against you. Sadly, satan uses religion and its adherents to coerce a confession from you - and, if you don’t know your rights as a Kingdom Citizen, you may confess something you ought not. Don’t believe me? Just ask Job (Job 3:24)! Confession, as it’s taught by adherents to religion gives the devil ammunition to do his dirt against you. This can manifest in the worst kind of confession - confession of sin to other people. The go-to Scripture for this is James 5:16 - but I’m going to tell you something that’ll help you: We are to confess our FAULTS, not our SINS. What do you mean, preacher? Simply this - that if I have a fault, such as an anger management issue, I should tell someone. Here’s where the rubber meets the road: if there is a requirement to confess sin, then those folks who tell someone who lost their child or their job or their home, that “it had to have been because of some unconfessed or hidden sin in your li...

Join us as we welcome the force known as Thelemic Waves (you can call him Darin)! Tarot reader and "professional occultist", Darin will regale us w/stories about secret societies, living in LA as a child and his many years with the Tarot. In his own words (and really, what more can be said, other than there will be live readings):IN A WORLD WHERE MAGICK CAN BE BOTH SCIENCE & FICTION… IN A WORLD WHERE POETRY IS RELIGION AND RELIGION IS POETRY & LAUGHTER IS THE MIRACLE OF THE MASS… IN A WORLD WHERE GODS ROAM THE HALLS IN THEIR DIRTY UNDERWEAR AND SOCKS… IN A WORLD WHERE MOVIE TRAILERS ARE VOICED OVER IN LOUD BOOMING BASS… IN THIS WORLD THERE ARISES A MINOR MAGICIAN TO HIS COFFEE POT EVERY MORNING. IN THIS WORLD, A LONE MAGISTER SURFS THELEMIC WAVES. Focusing strictly on Tarot, I received my first deck of the cards at 14. Since then I’ve been studying & using them with great clarity. Also an initiate of several magickal orders (sometimes called “secret societies”), I’ve learned how the full lexicon of occult symbolism & philosophy is rooted into & related to the tarot. I find this side of the work has greatly enhanced my understanding of the tarot system. I have, like a lot of people my age (which happens to be 41 long yrs), held several careers & numerous jobs. But ultimately I was born into the entrepreneur spirit & always knew who I wanted to become & do with my life – I am, in my own words, a professional occultist. I provide professional tarot readings over the Internet or phone or in person. You can contact me at ThelemicWaves.com or through my account on Keen Psychic Services on Keen.com. In the future I will be opening an online book/occult supply shop.
