In December 2017, authorities in Japan responded to a distress call from a couple reporting the death of their 33-year-old daughter, Airi Kakimoto. What they discovered was far more disturbing than expected Airi had been imprisoned in a windowless concrete room for 15 years, subjected to extreme neglect, malnutrition, and freezing temperatures. Airi, Towa and Aino are first grade students at Dokkyo Medical University, they took part in this podcast series called 'Implications'. They first listened to and then watched a TV advertisement/commercial that we sourced from Youtube. They weren't able to see the end of the ad, so they had to infer what was suggested/implied through the sounds, music and what they saw. They recorded themselves talking about what they had seen, and then decided what the ad was for or who the company was that made the ad. Enjoy! Rassistische und antisemitische Polizei-Chats, Machtmissbrauch im Amt, Racial Profiling, weit verzweigte rechtsextreme Netzwerke, tödliche Polizeigewalt – laut Innenministerien und Sicherheitsbehörden alles nur Einzelfälle.  Das Buch und der Song zeichnen sich durch ihre grundsätzliche Kritik an den Verhältnissen aus und teilen die Forderung, dass die Gesellschaft sich dem Problem des systemischen Rassismus stellen muss.  Nina Simone besingt es in ihrem Lied – die rassistischen Strukturen sind offensichtlich, aber viele machen die Augen zu. So sagt Nina Simone zu Mississippi Goddam: „Ich hatte die Wahl zu den Waffen zu greifen oder einen Song zu schreiben“. Die rassistische Gewalt, die andere verübt hatten, den Lynchmord an einem Schwarzen 14-jährigen, die tödlichen Schüsse auf einen Bürgerrechtsaktivisten, das Bombenattentat auf eine Kirche bei dem vier Mädchen starben – all diese Taten verarbeitete sie in einem Lied: Mississippi Goddam – einem großen – leider unterschätzten – Protestsong.  Der Text ist eine Anklage – „Everybody knows“ – jeder weiß es – und ich selbst bin Berufsschulpfarrer und meine Schülerinnen und Schüler berichten mir regelmäßig von Ereignissen, die jede und jeder wissen kann, wenn die Augen offen sind. Agarimo de Sillobre, a Banda de Gaitas Tradicional Airiños de Fene celebrará a súa XXXVI Xuntanza de Gaiteiros, actividade que se organiza todos os anos desde 1988. Nestas xuntanzas, ademais da participación de distintas bandas, grupos ou músicos, realizan unha homenaxe a algunha persoa, grupo ou entidade que se caracterizou por gardar, recoller, recuperar e dar a coñecer a música tradicional galega. Nesta XXXVI Xuntanza homenaxearase a Luar na Lubre. O grupo, constituído na Coruña no ano 1985, editou vinte discos, con vendas que superan as 350.000 unidades, e actuou en máis de corenta países de Europa, América e Asia.

El teatro Jofre sirvió de escenario para promover la Donación de Órganos de la mano de la Asociación Gallega de Trasplantes Airiños, formada por trasplantados, familiares y población en general. La entidad presidida por el ferrolano Abelardo Sánchez trata de concienciar de la importancia de ser donante de órganos. Acompañado por Marisol Cancio y Eva Cela, Abelardo se dirigió al público asistente al Festival de Outono para contar su propia historia vital. Señaló su gratitud como receptor de un trasplante de hígado, que le permite seguir viviendo desde hace 21 años. En el acceso al teatro, donde también se encontraba otro compañero de la asociación, Ignacio Beojardín, pusieron a disposición de todos los asistentes unos trípticos con toda la información sobre donación de órganos, ofreciendo además la posibilidad de solicitar la tarjeta de donante, útil para expresar en vida el deseo de donar.

The biggest news for us this weeks is that the talents of Socks Vtubing Agency are all now available for simping! I mean viewing. Both. Whatever.
