„Mal sehen was passiert, wenn ich eine Stunde lang ununterbrochen lese.“ Julia Friese (*1985) studierte Geschichte, Germanistik, Publizistik und Kommunikationswissenschaft in Bochum und Berlin. Ihre Kolumne “Gedanken zum Gegenwärtigen” wurde 2021 mit dem International Music Journalism ausgezeichnet. 2022 erschien ihr Debütroman „MTTR“ im Wallstein Verlag, der 2023 für den Clemens-Brentano-Preis nominiert wurde. Sie lebt als freie Schriftstellerin in Berlin. Der Buchtitel MTTR steht nicht etwa für Mutter, sondern für Meantime to Recover und meint damit die gemittelte Reparaturzeit nach einem Systemcrash.  Teresa Borsig ist eine junge Selbständige um die Dreißig, die heimlich Folsäure nimmt und immer wieder Schwangerschaftstests macht, obwohl sie, jedenfalls redet sie sich das ein, keine Kinder will. Dann passiert es doch, sie ist schwanger. Obwohl ihr Freund Erk der Idee eines Kindes nicht abgeneigt zu sein scheint, entschließt sie sich dagegen aus Angst, die Fehler ihrer eigenen Nachkriegseltern zu wiederholen.  In der Abtreibungsklinik zum Schlucken der Tablette gedrängt, geht Teresa in den Widerstand: Sie will doch Mutter werden.  Was Schwangerschaft mit dem Selbstverständnis einer jungen Frau innerhalb ihrer Lebensrealität zwischen Job, sozialem Leben und eigenen Eltern macht, welche Erdverschiebungen in dieser Zeit vor, während und nach der Geburt stattfinden, das beschreibt das Buch minutiös und mit sezierendem Blick. Julia Friese fegt eine Stunde lang durch ihr Buch, hämmert die Wörter in den vollbesetzten Saal wie die Kickdrum eines unsichtbaren Schlagzeugs. Das Experiment ist gelungen.

Ein weiser Mensch sagte einmal: "HipHop schmeckt, wie Pizza, besser selbst gemacht". Das dachte sich wohl auch Klein-Yannick, der schon früh sich selbst das Produzieren beibrachte und dabei mit HipHop begann. Aber es gibt ja nicht nur eine Art von Pizza und wie es sich für gute Pizzabäcker gehört, hat er noch viele Sorten ausprobiert bevor er letztendlich bei der Techno-Pizza hängen geblieben ist. Und seine Techno-Pizzen können sich hören lassen! Yannick schafft mit seinen Tracks und Livesets den Spagat den geneigten Feinschmecker anzutreiben, ohne aber zu stressen. Der Bass rollt, die Kickdrum drückt wie ein Herzschlag, aber das ganze wird so wunderbar in wabernde und sphärische Klänge eingebettet, dass man kaum mitkriegt hier grad mit über 130 BPM über den Dancefloor zu fegen. Dazu würzt er gekonnt mit Melodiefetzen, die einen entweder ganz psychedelisch einsaugen oder noch weiter antreiben. Seit 2016 hat er dabei seine eigene Berliner Pizza Crew @dasMoment am Start, die auch mehrere Geschmacksrichtungen anbietet. Über dasMoment released er auch immer wieder eine besten Leckerstücke, die er u.a. hier in einem phänomenal köstlichen Techno-LiveSet präsentiert. Chiara is a music composer and producer born and raised in Torino, Italy but now based in Australia. DJing under the moniker Chiara Kickdrum, she might just be one of the most decorated DJs currently operating out of Melbourne. She has performed at a range of venues across Australia and overseas, supporting international acts such as Kiasmos, Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz, Dopplereffekt, DJ Stingray and Underground Resistance, as well as appearing at Pitch Music Festival, Melbourne Music Week, Meredith Music Festival and Dark Mofo in Hobart. DJ-Sets (auch Mix, Podcast) angeht. Stilistisch auf einem ausholenden Schlenkerkurs rund um die gerade Kickdrum unterwegs („4 to the Floor“: House, Minimal u.ä.; in diesem speziellen Fall eher selten sog. „richtiger Techno“) hat er dieses Mal versucht, einen Treffer ganz weit unten zu landen: Musik mit ordentlich Bass und fein ziselierten Rhythmen, jedoch durch das Bestreben der afterhourigen Entspannung weniger überladen und eher atmosphärisch ausgerichtet. This episode is full of Dutty Bass.  There are so many good tunes out there at the moment and this is my pick of the crop.
