“We were a small fish in a big pond. Now we can focus on our niche and what we're good at.” – Chris Robinson, Director of Sales, Vault CPS At Navigate 25, Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, sat down with Chris Robinson, Director of Sales at Vault CPS, to discuss the launch of a new brand built on decades of expertise. Formerly part of Ingram Micro under names such as NetXUSA and CSS, Vault CPS (Vault Communication and Payment Solutions) is now operating as an independent company specializing in hardware lifecycle fulfillment, provisioning, configuration, and payment solutions. Robinson explained that Vault CPS serves large enterprises, service providers, MSPs, and payment processors with critical behind-the-scenes services—such as device configuration, key injection, and software loads—that ensure seamless communication and payment experiences. With one of the industry's most extensive key libraries, Vault CPS delivers value by managing the complex touch points others avoid. The decision to debut the brand at Navigate reflects the company's longstanding role in enabling service providers through platforms like Broadsoft and Metaswitch. Robinson praised Alianza's forward-looking vision, noting that the event emphasized ecosystem thinking—solutions that extend beyond endpoints to include the full technology stack. Vault CPS carries forward the systems, people, and expertise from its Ingram Micro heritage but now has the freedom to sharpen its focus on customer needs. “It's an exciting time,” Robinson said. “We can take all of that legacy knowledge and build a brand for the future.” Learn more about Vault CPS at www.netxusa.com.

The Wolf has had a complicated relationship with The Black Crowes. As a young man, he felt the music industry had conspired to anoint the Crowes as the next big thing in rock. MTV, rock radio, Rolling Stone, etc all seemed to be on the Crowes bandwagon and were shoving them down our throats (or that's what it seemed like). The fact that their first single was a cover and Chris Robinson's cocky attitude just didn't jibe with what our host was looking for in the early 90s. However, after seeing them open for the Grateful Dead in 1995, he bore witness to what a great live band they were. So while he still may have had issues with their front man and his attitude, the fact of the matter were they were the real deal live. But when his idol Jimmy Page joined the Crowes for a tour and eventually released a live album with them, again he was despondent that his biggest guitar hero had taken up with this band he didn't love. BTW - the newly released deluxe edition of them Live at the Greek is a killer Crowes or Zeppelin collectible. in 2024, Aerosmith was supposed to do one final tour and the Black Crowes were slated to open for them. When Aerosmith was forced to cancel the tour, The Wolf found himself more disappointed in missing the Crowes than the last gasp of Aerosmith. So when the Black Crowes came to town as a headliner, The Wolf wasn't going to miss his chance and he wasn't disappointed. Hear him discuss with Action Jackson the band, their show, the power of Chris Robinson's voice, the guitar porn, the stuff he didn't know and the Rolling Stones cover that he wasn't expecting. Authentic Leadership and People-First Culture with Chris Robinson of Maxwell LeadershipIn this episode of The Thoughtful Entrepreneur, host Josh Elledge speaks with Chris Robinson, Executive Vice President of the Maxwell Leadership Institute and founder of chrisrobinsonspeaker.com. Chris shares a transformative approach to leadership rooted in authenticity, empathy, and personal connection. This episode explores how leaders can foster a culture that retains talent, inspires teams, and builds lasting impact by putting people first.Leadership That Connects: How to Build Culture Through Trust and CareChris Robinson believes that effective leadership comes down to three critical questions every team member asks: Can I trust you? Can you help me? Do you care for me? When leaders can genuinely answer “yes” to all three, they foster deeper relationships and stronger organizational cultures. Building trust starts with transparency and consistency, while being helpful means actively supporting team growth with resources, guidance, and encouragement. Most importantly, caring for your team goes beyond metrics—it requires recognizing their aspirations, listening to their concerns, and showing genuine appreciation. The cost of poor leadership, Chris warns, is high—and turnover is just the beginning. Financial losses, low morale, and declining productivity often stem from leaders who fail to connect or invest in their people. He recommends using a “retention calculator” to understand the true cost of losing a team member and encourages proactive practices like stay interviews and real-time feedback to keep teams engaged. Leaders who create a safe, responsive environment ultimately retain top talent and reduce disruption. To build a sustainable, people-first leadership culture, Chris uses tools like the “My Favorite Things” survey—gathering personal insights about team members' interests, motivators, and milestones. Recognizing employees in small but meaningful ways—like remembering birthdays or rewarding them with their favorite treat—creates a culture of appreciation. Consistency is key: leaders must model the behavior they expect, train mid-level managers to do the same, and build common language and values across the organization using proven frameworks like those from John Maxwell.About Chris RobinsonChris Robinson is the Executive Vice President of the Maxwell Leadership Institute, an international speaker, coach, and entrepreneur. Chris Robinson, Executive Vice President of Maxwell Leadership, shares his powerful framework for breaking out of business complacency in his new book "From Drift to Drive." He reveals how successful entrepreneurs often drift into "careless security" where they stop doing the things that made them successful in the first place. Chris outlines his seven-step process to help business owners regain clarity, build community, and take intentional action toward their goals. Key Takeaways Complacency isn't laziness - it's "careless security" where you become comfortable and stop sharpening the skills that got you where you are Start with clarity - consistently ask yourself "What do I want?" because your goals should evolve as you grow Align your daily actions with your annual goals - check if your weekly to-do list matches what you said you wanted at the beginning of the year Community beats competition - surrounding yourself with like-minded people opens more doors than trying to protect your "secrets" About Chris Robinson Chris Robinson is the Executive Vice President of Maxwell Leadership and author of From Drift to Drive. Ever found yourself stuck in a comfortable rut? Turns out, that's not laziness—it's complacency, and it might be the biggest barrier between you and your true potential.Chris Robinson, Executive Vice President of Maxwell Leadership, joins us to completely reframe how we understand complacency. Forget what you thought you knew—complacency isn't about being lazy or apathetic. It's what Robinson calls "secret places of satisfactory success" where we've become content with being good but not great."Complacency looks like busyness, feels like comfort, and sounds like excuses," Robinson explains, detailing how this subtle enemy has been the downfall of empires, companies like Kodak, and even racing legends. The most dangerous part? We often don't recognize it in ourselves because we're still productive, just not intentionally growing toward our potential.Drawing from his upcoming book "From Fifth to Drive," Robinson shares his powerful seven-step framework for breaking free from complacency: clarity, gathering information, filtering, guidance, relationships, action, and evaluation. Each step builds upon the last to create momentum toward true excellence. The simplest version? "Learn a little bit, do a little bit"—an iterative process that, when combined with specific mentorship, creates breakthrough growth.Whether you lead a multinational company, a small team, or just yourself, this conversation challenges you to identify your own "rumble strips"—those warning signals that you're drifting off course. Are you allowing routine to replace reflection? Saying "later" more than "now"? Losing energy for what once inspired you? These might be signs that you're settling for good enough when greatness awaits.Ready to move from drift to drive in your career and life? Take Robinson's complacency quiz at drifttodrivequiz.com and pre-order his book, releasing September 2nd. Your potential is waiting—don't let complacency keep you from reaching it.Contact Chris: ChrisRobinsonSpeaker.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/speakerchrisrobinson/I'd love to hear from you! It's a wild one. • The Dolphins and Steelers are out here trading like it's a fantasy league. • Darren Waller might be back… or maybe not? • EA Sports is bringing back a college basketball game, and 2K is firing shots. Are we getting a new video game war? • Marcus Freeman to the Steelers?! What would it take for Mike to be okay with that? • The Bucks waived Dame Lillard(?!), and Malik Beasley is under investigation. • March Madness might expand again, NHL's got a new CBA, and Chris Robinson's junk led to an endorsement deal. Also: Moon Mammoths, robot soccer, Coach O at weddings, and the greatest Sip, Chug, Drainpour of all time (Maury, Springer, Dr. Phil).

Nina's What's Trending dives into the backlash surrounding Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet album cover. After criticism of the original “dog collar” artwork, Sabrina released a toned-down “God-approved” version—prompting debate over whether she’s trolling or just doubling down on her aesthetic. The segment also covers the viral TikTok trend of savoring raw onions and Chris Robinson’s now-infamous wardrobe malfunction during a 400-meter hurdles race… which didn’t stop him from winning.
Chris Robinson Wins Race Despite Wardrobe MalfunctionU.S. hurdler Chris Robinson didn’t let a wardrobe malfunction stop him from dominating the 400-meter hurdles at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet in Czechia. Mid-race, Robinson experienced a full pop-out, but instead of adjusting his shorts, he powered through to win in 48.60 seconds. The photos from the event had to be blurred for obvious reasons, but his determination (and confidence) are what’s going viral.
