Earwiggle welcomes a debut on the label from Brian Gibbs, aka GUNJACK!!! A string of dynamite early releases on Birmingham's Sheep Records and his own Deafmosaic imprint, set this LA producer out from the crowd in the early to mid-'00s, quickly amassing a long list of in-your-face EPs across a range of scene-leading labels. His dark, percussive techno stylings coupled with a larger-than-life character made him one of the community's most colourful personalities, who we've always greatly appreciated. Renewing his deep connection with techno in recent times and following on from a run of high-pressure dub techno offerings via his new label and collective Dubwars, Gunjack supplies us with four crunching club tracks in "Purple Room Trax Volume 1". Here he employs spiralling FM leads on the a-side with “Arson ‘78” and “Plastic Horns” while alternating between the suspenseful sirens of “Stormbells” and swarming, looped up the power of “Liquid Crystals” on the flip. Unlike many one-take live techno recordings, Gunjack's meticulously tweaked style leaves no fat, with a dynamic force that'll send the dancefloor into pandemonium. My beautiful guest for today's show is the lovely Lucy Proud! Lucy is an awakener of Peace, wisdom, and the sacred light within. A spiritual teacher, soul guide, healer, medicine woman, and walker between worlds, she guides others into awareness of the soul self, the whole self, and the natural flow of self in life. A gifted medium, Lucy works with energy and pure connection to spirit and soul. She teaches intuitively, empowering each person into their own awakening, knowing and truth. Inspired by nature and its cycles of life, Lucy believes all health and well-being arise from our ability to live in conscious connection with the natural cycles. She now fuses her love of meditation and the celestial worlds with her passion for women's well-being, natural birthing, heart-centered parenting, creating community, and the sharing of forgotten wisdom, that when embraced, allows us to live in alignment with the sacred self and walk the path of Peace on Earth. See the show notes below for some of the main points (in order) we covered and dived deep into together: What is HEART-CENTRED and conscious parenting? What is the first we can take to open up to this as a parent? Past Lives as conscious parents A new world we live in and the DANGERS we need to watch out for Remembering your soul and spirit as a child Being a STARSEED or STARCHILD Providing safety, support, and security How do we attract a divinely aligned partner to parent with? The Inner Child coming up as a parent Learning to distinguish between your wounds and your child Why is NOURISHMENT so powerful as a parent? Having loving devotional practices Overcoming the limiting belief of SELF-SACRIFICE Moving out of and into different parenting archetypes that do not and will serve us more Children have a primary language of FREQUENCY What are Liquid Crystals and how do they support heart-centered parenting? Dr Tim Wilkinson is combining liquid crystals with nanotechnology to try and create 3D displays which would look like real life. Dr Wilkinson: “Liquid crystal displays are now a commonplace technology from mobile phone displays to wide screen televisions. They are, however, still limited by the shape, size and speed of their pixels when they are used to display video images. This video shows microscope sequences of a new nanotechnology based liquid crystal pixel structure that will allow much higher resolution displays and even true 3D holographic displays to be fabricated in the future.” The videos are all in real time. The scale varies from video to video, but the little dots which form a grid in most of them are all 10 μm apart (10th of diameter of a hair).
