A investigação começa agora.

In March of 2002, a seventeen year old girl bursts into a police station in Kitakyushu, Japan, to make a startling report. She tells the authorities about a man, an apartment, and about the people who were brought inside but never made it out alive. She tells them that the dead were dismembered and boiled and disposed of so thoroughly that nothing remained. She tells them that the man who orchestrated all of it did not do the killing himself but coerced others do it. She tells them she is the only one left who can say any of this, because everyone else is dead. Today on the show, we welcome Scott Kiloby and Toshi Matsunaga, authors of Awake But Sick, to explore the hidden emotional pain that can persist even after profound spiritual awakening. Their work challenges the common myths of nonduality and mindfulness, offering a deeper path through emotional repression, physical illness, and the illusion of immediate freedom. In this conversation, we explore the gap between awakening and true healing, the dangers of spiritual bypassing, and how to reconnect with the body's wisdom to find lasting peace. In this episode, Scott and Toshi talk about how emotional repression can cause you to see, hear, and believe only what feels safe—protecting you from feeling or expressing certain emotions. This can make it difficult to hear or understand work that addresses emotional repression, as the mind filters out anything that might threaten the protective barrier against those emotions. To work with Toshi, book a clarity call:https://kiloby.com/toshiMonthly Nonduality & KI Meeting with Toshi:https://kiloby.com/nonduality-ki

Shogo Matsunaga's practice covers legal advice and representation before courts in patent infringement disputes in the ICT and semiconductor technology sectors, trademark infringement disputes including anti-counterfeiting measures. Shogo is one of the most influential SEP experts in Japan, one of the organizers of the so-called “SEP study group in Japan,” and a Partner at Sonderhoff & Einsel, where he has worked on many SEP cases in the past. At Sonderhoff & Einsel, a law firm with German roots that has quite some history and is over 100 years in practice, Shogo represents Japanese clients in their worldwide SEP licensing negotiations and SEP litigation disputes. Japan has experienced only a handful of SEP cases thus far, including the Apple v. Samsung case, which saw a verdict delivered on May 16, 2014. Shogo discusses and expands upon the court ruling in the podcast because he feels that the outcome of the cases is often misinterpreted. He explains that Japanese courts are too often perceived as standards implementer friendly, which he explains is different. Shogo reveals that he was several times very close to being part of another SEP case in Japan, but when after all, the parties settled. But Shogo believes we will soon see the next SEP case litigated in Japan, maybe later this year. This also makes sense because Shogo explains that Japanese courts are efficient and that the Japanese smartphone market is huge, with strong sales numbers for high-end smartphone generations and brands.Japanese government agencies like the JPO or the METI have published guidelines for SEP licensing negotiations and fair value calculations. These guidelines, Shogo explains, are, however, not binding for courts and, in practice, only used sometimes. Like the JPO “Manual of Hantei”, a service by the JPO to claim chart Japanese patents – a service that was hardly ever used because claim chart results would be published.Shogo elaborates and compares the German court systems with the Japanese court systems, which have similarities because the Japanese patent system used the German system as the foundation. Even today, German courts have developed to handle multiple SEP cases per year, which differs from Japanese courts. Shogo explains the reason for that is that, as of today, the definition of a willing licensee in Japan could be clearer. SEP enforcing parties fear losing the case or only getting low royalties when litigating in Japanese courts. Again, Shogo does not see it that way and encourages SEP holders to try the courts again.Shogo describes how the Japanese industries have been behind in terms of SEP licensing. Also, in Japan, many suppliers indemnify OEMs when shipping connectivity solutions. Indemnification is decreasing, but Shogo feels the industry needs to change faster. Shogo, however, has a good feeling about the rising IoT industry in Japan and is eager to learn about SEP licensing and engage in understanding it early on. Shogo regularly meets with the Japanese IP industry experts in a group organized by METI called “SEP study group”. This group comprises over 150 member experts from various industries like Telecom, Automotive, Manufacturing, Home Appliances and many more. The Japanese community is well organized. However, Shogo explains when it's about SEPs, the different points of view, e.g., between automotive OEMs and the SEP owners, are often not openly discussed. Shogo would love to see more contrivers discussions. After all, Japan remains an exciting market and may soon become another important SEP litigation venue.

Well dear listeners, it didn't take long for ol' Timmy G to take his revenge for the Mesrine episode. We're off to Japan, the land of anime, robots, and public transit gropers, to talk about Futoshi Matsunaga. His story started off seemingly pretty normal, but it didn't take long for him to become the fucking worst. And every time you think, "Surely somebody is going to stop him now," he just. Keeps. Going. I hate him. Anyways, come for the scumnut, stay for the rage. Enjoy!

Welcome to Episode #67 of the Wild Yoga Tribe Podcast! This week, I welcome Michel Uranga Briñas onto the show. My conversation with Michel Uranga Briñas, a yoga teacher from Cuba, was so vibrant as we took a deep dive into what Kundalini yoga is, and the history behind it. I hope that this conversation made you also curious about shiatsu massage and Thai massage, and how they are different and similar. If you're looking to tune into a podcast episode that is all about yoga in Cuba then this is the conversation for you. Support the podcast: https://www.patreon.com/wildyogatribe Tell me more about Michel Uranga Briñas Michel Uranga Briñas is a yoga teacher from Cuba who mainly teaches Kundalini yoga, though he occasionally does teach haha yoga. He used to own a yoga studio in Havana, though since the pandemic, his work has been directed towards spiritual retreats on mountain beaches. He has been teaching yoga in Cuba for nine years. Michel began his studies in East Asian therapies and fell in love with Thai massage. He began studying yoga to understand the origin and nature of yogic massage. A short time later, Michel joined a Kundalini Yoga Teach Training in Mexico and then a Hatha yoga teacher training course. In Cuba, as Michel obtained a university degree in Therapeutic Physical Culture. He has also studied Japanese medicine, the Matsunaga shiatsu method, for three years. He then founded AgataYoga, which involves some yoga teachers and therapists who work alongside Michel and offer spiritual retreats. What to expect in the Yoga In Cuba episode of the Wild Yoga Tribe Podcast On the podcast, we talked about what is Kundalini yoga, and why out of all the types of yoga out there, he chose to study Kundalini. Michel feels that Kundalini yoga offers the maximum amount of benefits in the shortest amount of time. Personally, Michel shared that he only practices 5-10 minutes of Kundalini yoga a day, and that is enough to provide the benefits he needs. As he said, “Yoga teachers have more secrets than yoga students— more knowledge.” These secrets help him to get the benefits he needs in mere minutes, just as he finds that his students need an hour or more to really soak up the magic of the practice. I was also grateful that Michel shared with us what it is like to live in Cuba, and the difficulties that creates for him, as a yoga teacher, and for his country as a whole. He was very transparent about what the reality in Cuba is like, and he expressed excitement that yoga in Cuba has been slowly and steadily growing as more and more people are coming to the practice. Tariq and Jim have both had encounters with animals but Tariq's encounters with animals will leave you in stitches. He talks about being attacked by cats, dogs, and even fish! And the reason why we are talking about animals attacks this week is because the premise of this week's match is that the loser MUST be attacked by animals. Yes you read that correctly! And… the loser is not being attacked by just any ordinary animal, the loser will be attacked by a shoal of Piranhas! This week we get to talk about the infamous Piranha death match and this is definitely not for the faint at heart. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/sixmantagpodcast/support

I have wanted Kevin Matsunaga on my podcast for a long, long time. Kevin never imagined he would follow in his father's footsteps and become a teacher. He found his calling as the digital media teacher, coach and guide at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School on the island of Kauaʻi, and his students have won too many national video competitions to count. In 2007, the Hawai'i Department of Education recognized Kevin with a Kauaʻi District Teacher of the Year award. The impact he has had on kids in our public schools since 2007 is simply staggering. This episode was edited by the talented Evan Kurohara. Our theme music comes from the vast catalogue of pianist, Michael Sloan.
