We're back for an epic episode this week as Ralph Viera of Rock & Metal Combat Podcast joins us to discuss The Best and Worst of 70's Black Sabbath! With their debut release in 1970, Black Sabbath's self-titled debut would set the music world on it's ear and help birth multiple bands and genres. In the same year, they'd release the iconic 'Paranoid' album to much acclaim. Those landmark albums would be followed up by other highly recognized albums such as 'Master of Reality,' 'Volume 4,' 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,' and 'Sabotage.' Things take unexpected turns with the releases 'Technical Ecstasy,' and 'Never Say Die;' mostly fueled by band drama and addiction issues. In this episode, we each give our thoughts on Black Sabbath, these albums, and pick our favorite and least favorite track of each. Ralph also provides some informative and entertaining stories of Sabbath history throughout. It's a fun, no-holds-barred discussion of some of the most impactful albums in music history. Coming in at No. 4 on Rolling Stones greatest grunge albums list is the second Hole record, Live Through This. Joining Bakko to breakdown this album is former host of the Rock & Metal Combat Podcast, Ian Wadley. Ian and Bakko go track by track. Dissecting this grunge classic. Live Through This is the second studio album by American alternative rock band Hole, released on April 12, 1994, by DGC Records. Recorded in late 1993, it departed from the band's unpolished hardcore aesthetics to more refined melodies and song structure. Frontwoman Courtney Love said that she wanted the record to be "shocking to the people who think that we don't have a soft edge", but maintain a harsh sensibility.

This week is Wayne's pick and he chose My Chemical Romance "The Black Parade" vs. Rise Against "Wolves". Both albums were what got Wayne into these bands. The Black Parade was My Chemical Romances 3rd album released in 2006 and would be different from their previous albums as this would be a rock opera ala Bowie/Queen but still kept their punk/emo style intact. Wolves is Rise Against 8th album released in 2017 and self produced by the band. It featured the singles The Violence, House On Fire and Welcome To The Breakdown. Greg previously stated on an earlier show his disgust for My Chemical Romance and vowed to never listen to them, well he didn't have a choice this time. Will Greg actually like them, or will he induce vomit all over youtube? This week, Bushy was in Nashville, TN, for the 3rd Annual Rock and Pod Expo. He was fortunate enough to be able to sit down and chat with some great people. First, you'll hear an amazing interview with Michael Sweet, front man of Stryper, with assistance from Mr. Ralph Viera from Rock and Metal Combat Podcast. Next, Bushy has a great, candid talk with Mr. Kenny Olson, that went so well, he told Bushy he wants to do our show AFTER the expo, when time could be arranged. And then, Bushy was able to chat with a young band out of Memphis, TN, Land/Divided. They did a great job, and you'll hear one of their songs right after the interview. An amazing weekend all around, and we hope that some of that was captured in these talks. Special thanks to Michael Sweet, Kenny Olson and Land/Divided for sitting down with me.
Ralph Viera from the Rock and Metal Combat Podcast and The Viera Vault returns to chat all-things movies on this episode! He covers all the past topics from earlier DGMM episodes and drops in a few exclusive stories he's never told on any of his amazing podcasts or YouTube channels. Enjoy!
DGMM is honored to have the dynamic duo of Ralph Viera and Ian Wadley from the Rock and Metal Combat Podcast to discuss our favorite films from the mid-to-late 1970s. This is a must listen episode and includes exclusive stories never before told by both Ralph and Ian!
We're back this week with a humdinger of an episode that features Ralph Viera (aka Dr. Fukk) picking six songs he thinks you should hear! Ralph is a true renaissance man of rock metal. He hosts multiple live shows on That Metal Station and fronts multiple bands including Thrash or Die. Additionally, Ralph is well known in podcasting circles as the host of the Rock and Metal Combat Podcast. Each week Ralph and co-host Ian Wadley bring great knowledge and humor with an edge. We highly recommend it. [caption id="attachment_39318" align="alignright" width="350"] Ralph Viera [/caption] Equally interesting this week is our discussion at the top of the show of Vinnie Vincent. As we announced a couple months ago, Vinnie was confirmed and announced as a guest for the Nashville Rock n Pod Expo. A lot of work went into promoting his appearance and things were about to go into overdrive. However, things started changing over the past week and ultimately, Vinnie's appearance was cancelled. We share with you the story of what went down and our take on it. The Nashville invasion is now an aborted mission. Such a shame. The Nashville Rock n Pod Expo is moving forward and is expected to be a big success. Current/former members of KISS, Korn, Winger, ACCEPT, Joan Jett, Loudness, Bang Tango, Kik Tracee and more will be there. Additionally, producing legends Michael Wagener and Toby Wright are returning. More great guest and event announcements are coming soon. I became a faithful listener about a year ago for several reasons. 1) The Music: I always get to listen to great music. The variety of tunes featured is top notch. Into some of the bands more than others, but the exposure to music I haven't heard before is always appreciated. 2) The Guests: Chris and Aaron have what it takes to make an interview worth listening to. The stars and guest that are on are always entertaining. The insight and humor is always appreciated. I learn something I didn't know almost every time. 3) The Variety: I love themed shows, Toddzilla, KISSmas in July, The featured shows (RUSH, AC/DC) and especially the Radio Sucks episodes. One episode was not enough for our special guest Ian Wadley from the Rock and Metal Combat Podcast and Wadzilla’s World! If you loved part 1, you have to hear the conclusion of this hilarious interview.
Our special guest this week is Ian Wadley from the Rock and Metal Combat Podcast and Wadzilla’s World! Ian is not just a music lover, but a huge movie buff and answers every question we throw at him. He loved being on the show so much we had to make it a double episode!
This week on the Plug, we are joined by the 2nd half of the Rock and Metal Combat Podcast, and we dive into the 2nd studio album by British band The Cure. Mountain Man sounds a little off this week, and is in rare form, Sin stays quiet, Wadzilla does not! All this and more on The Plug with Bushy Sin and the Mountain Man!
This week, we were honored to have a VERY special guest. Mr Ralph Viera, aka Dr Fukk, of Thrash Or Die, Combat, Ripjaw, Old Leather and other bands, and co host of the Rock and Metal Combat Podcast, joined us to discuss all things...NOT metal! That's right, he delves deep into his music library, to discuss the music he loves that is NOT heavy metal! First time insight into all things Viera! And this is only Part 1! Also, we talk about Las Vegas! We talk about his music projects. Mountain Man swoons in the presence of Dr Fukk. And, at the very end, I pay tribute to Tom Petty, as this news hit us AFTER recording! All this and MORE, on the PLUG!

"Rare Hair" was killer. This week was just phenomenal as is every week. Even when they banter incessantly about KISS they are still entertaining and informative. Never seems to disappoint. Makes me look forward to every upcoming week to get the new episodes!! They constantly remind us that there are more to the bands we love beside "The Hits"! Rare Hair got down to the meat and potatoes of why we love the bands we do. The Hits brought us the band, Rare Hair showed is why they are still in our hearts. Keep the flag flying guys!!! Producer and longtime friend of Ace Frehley, Crazy Joe Renda stops by to share Ace Stories about everyone's favorite spaceman. Joe first came to prominence in KISS fan circles with the novelty song, 'Eugene' released under the moniker of Crazy Joe & The Variable Speed Band. The song would go down in KISSTORY as Ace Frehley's first musical project outside of the band as he's a co-writer and co-producer of the song. Joe also founded and ran North Lake Sound studio in White Plains, NY along with fellow songwriter Chip Taylor (known for ' Wild Thing', 'Rock Soldiers' and 'Angel of the Morning'). Joe is also the producer for prank phone call legends The Jerky Boys. Ace Stories with Crazy Joe Renda In this long-form conversation, Joe shares some incredible stories of hanging out with Ace Frehley and being around the business of KISS. Stories of the interpersonal relationships between Ace and the other members of the band are shared including the dynamic between the "2 camps" of Simmons and Stanley vs Criss and Frehley. Also included are Joe's recollections of Ace's decision to quit KISS and how Gene Simmons pleaded with Joe to attempt to keep Ace on as a member of the band. Other stories involving a testy meeting between Peter Criss and Eric Carr, loads of stories of Ace truly being a rock n' roll wild man and so much more including the story of how 'Eugene' was created and how it connects to KISS (not in the way you would expect). It's an hour-plus of jaw dropping stories about Jendell's favorite son. We hope you enjoy Ace Stories with Crazy Joe Renda and SHARE with a friend! In this long form discussion and music episode, the guys each pick 5 songs from all of KISStory that they think shoulda been a single. These could be songs that would have rescued ill-fated albums in the KISS catalog as well as songs that could have made a successful album even more successful. KISS Shoulda Been a Single 15 different KISS albums are used as sources; from the early days all the way to 2012 so there's a lot of variety on this one. Accept drummer Christopher Williams stops by this week to discuss his lifelong love affair with the Hottest Band in the Land. In this long-form talk, Williams talks about his discovery of KISS via the MTV Unplugged appearance in 1995. He also talks about the MTV Video Music Awards performance that the reunited band gave under the Brooklyn Bridge as the clincher in his fandom. Christopher is no ordinary KISS fan. In this hour-plus discussion he describes the scenario which led him seek and acquire one of Peter Criss' reunion era drum sets. It's a great story that has many twists and turns. He also relives his first KISS concert and how he had interactions with each band member throughout the set. Christopher Williams Aside from playing with metal legends ACCEPT, Christopher works steadily in numerous other musical endeavors including performances with a local group of musicians known as Blonder Than Hell. This group features bassist ET Brown, Williams, and Thee Rock N' Roll Residency founders (and former guests on this show) Jeremy Asbrock and Phillip Shouse. This KISS tribute is absolutely incredible and is not afraid to deliver the rarities that the official product shies away from. This year, they are performing a KISSMAS in July gig in Nashville, TN at Exit/In. This special show will feature the band in full makeup and costume performing, in their entirety, the Hotter Than Hell and Destroyer albums. It's sure to be a great night so join Chris and Aaron if you can. More info can be found HERE. After having full intention of recording a new Year in Review episode, life got in the way but something more fun came from it; talking to you! Aaron and Chris call an audible this week. Instead of an intended Year in Review show (don't worry, it'll still happen), the guys get on the blower and talk to you! In this hour-plus interactive episode, your hosts have quick chats with friends of the show including listeners, musicians, and hosts of other great podcasts; all answering one important question. You'll hear from folks including Mitch Lafon (One on One with Mitch Lafon), Victor Ruiz (Mars Attacks Podcast), Joe Polo (Podcast Rock City), Ian Wadley (Rock and Metal Combat Podcast), Roch Vallaincourt (Radioactive Metal Podcast), Ryan Cook (Big Rock Show/Hair of the Dog), Chip Z'nuff (Enuff Z'nuff), and many others including numerous Decibel Geek listeners. This was a bit of an experiment but it was a lot of fun to record. We hope you enjoy Rock n Rolodex!
