Etwas müde, aber mit vielen frischen Eindrücken von der gerade beendeten SPIEL in Essen, bilanzieren die Hosts Manuel Fritsch und Stefan Ducksch im spielboxcast 28 ihre Messe-Erlebnisse. Beide waren vier Messetage plus den vorgeschalteten Pressetag in den Hallen unterwegs, um Neues aufzustöbern – gar nicht so leicht, bei mittlerweile 220.000 Besuchern auf der noch einmal um eine weitere Halle angewachsenen Messe. Für den veranstaltenden Merz Verlag, der sowohl bei den Eintrittskarten als auch den Standflächen komplett ausverkauft war, ein schöner Erfolg. Entsprechend positiv fiel die Bilanz auch bei Carol Rapp, Geschäftsführerin des veranstaltenden Merz Verlages, in unserem Gespräch aus. Bei der Diskussion über die eigenen Erfahrungen mit Spiele-Neuheiten blicken Manuel und Stefan auch auf die beiden Besucherumfragen auf der Messe. Das deutsche Fachmagazin Fairplay und die US-Website BoardGameGeek hatten ihre Leser aufgerufen, sich zu beteiligen. US-Spielzeugriese Hasbro hat Avalon Hill schon vor einigen Jahren reanimiert und versucht sich jetzt auch wieder auf dem europäischen Markt mit Autorenbrettspielen. So ist in diesem Jahr bereits COSMOLANCER von Reiner Knizia erschienen (Neuauflage von AUF HELLER UND PFENNIG), für das kommende Jahr ist SANIBEL von Elisabeth Hargrave angekündigt, dazu MARKET FRESH, eine Überarbeitung von JUBAKO (Ravensburger) von Wolfgang Kramer und Michael Kiesling. Wir sprachen auf der Neuheitenschau mit Pia Blum, Senior Brand Manager bei Hasbro, über die Pläne mit Avalon Hill. Kurz vor der Messe hatte Ravensburger angekündigt, dass unter seiner Vielspielermarke alea im kommenden Jahr erstmals lokalisierte Spiele herausgebracht werden, nämlich PROPOLIS (Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin, Shawn Stankewich; Flatout Games) und MOON COLONY BLOODBATH (Donald X. Con Enrique haremos un repaso a todo su recorrido profesional, tanto del lado del periodismo como de la comunicación, donde ha sido parte del equipo que ha logrado un BAFTA de los videojuegos, todo un hito que nos va a contar con detalle.El apartado de actualidad de esta semana lo cubrimos hablando de Double Dragon, un juego que ya sabes cuanto nos gusta y que cumple 35 años. También de la salida de F1 2022, que llegará pronto a nuestras consolas. Nos hacemos eco de los 3,2 millones de copias que Lego: The Skywalker Saga ha conseguido vender en sus primeras semanas, de la posibilidad de jugar a God of War en una Xbox (sí, en serio) o de como Xbox trabaja en algo revolucionario con desarrolladores japoneses. Hablamos también de las primeras imágenes de Skate 4, de los Uncharted que están por llegar y del anuncio de un nuevo juego de Star Wars. Una semana con noticias que nos han encantado.El bloque central de esta semana lo dedicamos a hablar con Enrique García, un periodista de los de cuna que a pesar de su juventud lleva toda una vida dedicada a los videojuegos. Después de su paso por Meristation o Vandal entre otras, ahora dedica sus horas a la comunicación en ICO Partners, y con ellos ha conseguido que uno de los juegos que ellos representan haya logrado un BAFTA de los videojuegos, todo un hito del que nos va a dar detalles y nos va a contar curiosidades. Con Enrique repasaremos la actualidad y hablaremos de un montón de anécdotas sucedidas a lo largo de su carrera.Esta semana tenemos análisis doble. Por un lado hablamos de Espías en la Sombra, que llega de la mano de TCG Factory. Un juego en el que nos pondremos al mando de un equipo de espías por toda Europa con la intención de cumplir el mayor número de misiones posibles antes que nuestros oponentes. Para ello contaremos con un equipo de ayudantes que deberemos gestionar bien sea colocando por el tablero o utilizando para cumplir esas misiones, con un componente estratégico que nos exigirá lo justo en un juego sencillo y que puede disfrutar toda la familia.También tendremos en nuestra sección de análisis el juego de mesa Sabana Park, de Maldito Games, un juego con una temática y unas mecánicas muy adecuadas para disfrutarlo con toda la familia. Con él nos haremos cargo de una reserva africana repleta de animales salvajes, a los que tendremos que cuidar, dar de beber y proteger de los incendios. Un juego que nos invita a jugar sin descanso. El diseño del juego, a cargo de Michael Kiesling y Wolfgang Kramer es una garantía de éxito, y demuestra estar a la altura de lo que esperamos.
