After 13 years of podcasting, I have found tools I rely on. My two favorites are Podmatch - It is kind of like a dating application. Instead of finding dates I use it to book podcast interviews on high profile shows and interesting guests . And now, they have rolled out a new feature that allows me to get paid to host guests on my show. Learn more at : https://www.joinpodmatch.com/mtfw For recording interviews, I love Zencastr It is a great all in one tool. Audio only or audio and video are possible. I use if to record because it creates transcripts of every conversation which saves me tons of time on production. Learn more at https://zencastr.com/ And finally, if you want to be a guest on a podcast you will want to pay attention to what Kelly Mosser has to say about pitches. The biggest mistake most potential guest make is the emphasis of the pitch. The message boils down to “I want airtime on your show. Here's why I deserve it. Here's why you should give it to me.” This one-sided approach misses the key detail that podcasts are a business collaboration. When you focus on what you can get, and what the audience might take away, the host and the show are kind of forgotten. Put yourself in the shoes of the host. Why would they want someone on their show who doesn't care about them. If you understand you are entering a business partnership with the host together it is easier to think about how can you help the host achieve his/her goals. Then you need to explain what you bring to the audience. When you start with that approach you are much more likely to be invited to be a guest on the show. Listen to the entire conversation https://morethanafewwords.com/kelly-mosser/

Management of advanced/metastatic urothelial cancer has undergone a significant transformation with the addition of PD-1– and PD-L1–targeting immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) to the treatment armamentarium. These advances are quickly moving into early-stage disease, including emerging bladder-sparing and perioperative approaches, which has recently led to the first regulatory approval of an ICI as adjuvant therapy in high-risk muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). In this activity, based on a recent live symposium, experts use real-world cases and mini lectures to illustrate practical tips and treatment selection strategies for patients with MIBC or NMIBC (non–muscle-invasive bladder cancer), including clinical trial opportunities, bladder-preservation options, and perioperative regimens. This activity also examines approaches for personalized care in metastatic urothelial cancer (mUC), both in the frontline setting and in progressive disease. Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: Assess new evidence on therapeutic strategies for bladder cancer management across the disease continuum based on innovative drug delivery approaches, modern immunotherapy regimens, and novel targeted agents; Implement novel and emerging therapeutic approaches into personalized treatment plans for patients with varying stages of bladder cancer considering the available evidence, current guidelines, and principles of multidisciplinary and patient-centered care; and Integrate evidence- and team-based management protocols to address the unique suite of adverse events associated with novel therapeutics for bladder cancer

On this week's episode of Soaring Child, Ashley Gobeil shares specific tools to help kids with ADHD. When an ADHD child is reacting to a situation emotionally, their brain has a “flipped lid” and the upstairs and downstairs parts of the brain aren't working together. One way to deal with it is to name the emotion (name it to tame it) to validate the child's feelings until they can calm down so the two parts of the brain come together again. Try to ride the wave of emotion with your child and maintain relational safety without judgment. Then your child will be able to access their problem-solving, logical side. Another strategy is “connection before correction.” Use relational connection first to change behavior before trying to correct the behavior and deliver consequences. Do it with a level of kindness and empathy while holding firm to your parenting boundaries. These strategies require practice and consistency to rewire both the parent's and child's brain over time, but they are effective tools to keep in your ADHD toolkit to support your child's nervous system. Key Takeaways: [4:04] How ADHD kids get a flipped lid [6:28] Validating your child's emotions [14:20] Using connection before correction to change behavior [17:58] How to avoid the reactive parenting brain [21:36] How to reconnect and repair after a rupture [24:40] What to do if there are no natural consequences around a behavior [29:35] Why consistency is important How To Connect With Ashley Gobeil: Jumpstart for Parenting: https://adhdthrivemethod.com/adhd-thrive-jump-start-parenting-4-adhd Memorable Quotes: “It doesn't really matter if you don't get to the root of what is driving bad behavior. It's just showing them that you see it.” “I try to step away from punishment and consequences because we know that it won't land. When the upstairs brain is gone, the logic's gone.” “It's important as parents to become really self-aware of what our triggers are.” “What does repair look like? It's not just saying sorry; it's much more about connecting and having a calm conversation.” “Consequences and punishments have very short-lived shelf lives. They often don't work sustainably in terms of regulation and behavioral change.” Dana Kay Resources: Website - https://adhdthriveinstitute.com/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/adhdthriveinstitute Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/adhdthriveinstitute/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/c/ADHDThriveInstitute LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/74302454/ Pinterest - https://www.pinterest.com/adhdthriveinstitute/ Tiktok - https://www.tiktok.com/@adhd_thriveinstitute International Best Selling Book, Thriving with ADHD - https://adhdthriveinstitute.com/book/ Free Reduce ADHD Symptoms Naturally Masterclass - https://info.adhdthriveinstitute.com/25min-webinar-registration ADHD Parenting Course - https://adhdthrivemethod.com/adhd-thrive-jump-start-parenting-4-adhd ADHD Thrive Method 4 Kids Program - https://adhdthriveinstitute.com/packages/
