Watch NOW: https://youtu.be/z95pMkW24GkHey family, Willie Moore Jr here, and welcome back to the Love You More Show. This episode is for anybody who's ever been in a relationship where you were doing everything… but still felt unseen. I sat down with Myesha Chaney, author, speaker, singer, and yes… a former First Lady who lived her life in front of the world on platforms like Preachers of L.A.And she kept it all the way honest: the pressure, the identity, the performance… and the moment she realized she couldn't keep surviving off optics. We talk about:• Why counseling “too late” can't undo years of emotional neglect• The difference between love and love with action• How childhood trauma shows up in marriage• Why church culture can celebrate you one day, then forget you the next• And what it really takes to heal until you don't have a scab… you've got a scarAnd family… in a season where the internet has been loud about pastors, platforms, and marriages, including what people have been discussing publicly around Jamal Bryant and his wife, I wanted this conversation to bring balance: accountability, healing, and truth… without the gimmicks. If this episode blesses you, do me a favor:✅ Subscribe✅ Leave a comment✅ Share this with somebody who needs hopeAnd remember… don't just love people. In this episode, I talk to Myesha Evon Gardner, a New York-based photographer and art director originally from Cleveland, Ohio. We cover topics such as Myesha's approach to photography, including influences, gear, experimentation, shooting analog and working in the darkroom, her mindsets about growth and finances, lessons she learned from her father, who is a musician, the importance of patience and passion, risk-taking, her most essential rituals, and much more.BiographyMyesha Evon Gardner is a New York-based photographer and art director originally from Cleveland, Ohio. She holds a BFA degree in photography and graphic design from the Parsons School of Design in New York City.As a photographer and storyteller, Myesha examines truth by documenting and redefining themes of legacy, labor, the perception of beauty, and familial love in underrepresented communities. Through the subjects of vanity, body image, and self-care, she studies the profoundly complex role of the Black woman, who, she observes, as people and individuals, are often stripped down to singular value. Gardner investigates the socioeconomic structure and negotiation of power between these visual embodiments and what it means to exist in and move up into the ranks of American society. Her commercial work is inspired by the materiality of cultural influences as expressed through music, history, sports, and fashion. Myesha's clients include Nike, Jordan, Beats by Dre, Nordstrom, Beyoncé, Parkwood Entertainment, Saint Heron, HBO, RCA Records, Sony Music, The New Yorker, and The New York Times, to name a few.Over the years, she participated in several group exhibitions, and her work has been published in publications such as HYPEBAE, WIRED, Cosmopolitan, The Brooklyn Circus, Vouge, V Man and TIME.Selected Links From the EpisodeMyesha's WebsiteMyesha's InstagramGordon ParksHelmut NewtonIrving PennDarkroomJamaica, Montego BayAlbumen PrintSusan MeiselasPrince Street Girls by Susan MeiselasMagnum PhotographersA Choice of Weapons by Gordon ParksLife MagazineHand-Printing (Photographic Process)Pinhole CameraMedium FormatPhotogravureShow NotesIntroduction [00:00:00]The Mindful Creative Year [00:01:02]Episode Introduction [00:05:06]On Becoming a Creative Professional [00:07:26]Advice for Young Creatives [00:21:05]Work Routines of a Professional Freelance Photographer [00:30:05]Short Episode Break – Support the Podcast [00:45:43]Financial Mindsets for Creative Professionals [00:46:25]Importance of Personal and Professional Growth [00:49:53]Myesha's Approach to Photography and Direction [01:01:13]Challenges on Myesha's Creative Journey [01:21:11]How to Be a Better Creative Professional [01:26:35]Episode Outro [01:30:13]Full transcript and more at https://creative.voyage/

Myesha and Maya are probably the ones that have the most in common because both of their younger brothers were murdered, so they were left looking for answers. The call that changed Myesha's life forever, the one where they told her her little brother, Tony, had passed, was the beginning of a nightmare. It wasn't until years later that she began her grief journey, and one of the ways she has decided to honor her brother is by creating SAVED. In this week's episode, I am sharing Myesha and Tony's story, how she felt after she received “The Call” and what she wanted to do, her relationship with her mother, how she has decided to honor her brother like SAVED, and Love Notes to Heaven and so much more In this episode I'm covering: Intro [00:00:00] Myesha and Antonio's story [00:01:57] Myesha's feelings after “The Call” [00:13:33] Family dynamics [00:17:10] Looking for answers [00:22:17] Myesha's grief journey [00:27:16] Carrying out Tony's legacy [00:31:15] Love Notes to Heaven [00:46:55] Advice for Young Myesha and Surviving Siblings [00:50:39] For full episode show notes and transcript, click here. Myesha Williams was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee and currently resides in Los Angeles California. Myesha graduated from the University of Memphis in 2017 with a degree in theatre. Not only is Myesha a southern girl but she is also a theatre kid. In her last semester of college, Myesha started her bartending career at Coyote Ugly Saloon on Beale Street in Downtown Memphis. During that time, Myesha bartended, promoted and performed body shots during the shifts, and danced Coyote Ugly routines in the bar. Myesha also traveled to wok at several other Coyote Ugly locations in Austin, San Antonio, New York, and Nashville. In the summer of 2019, Myesha moved to LA to pursue her acting career. While in LA, Myesha landed a few gigs being a mobile bartender. This was a quick change in the dynamics from crazy dive bars to elegant weddings, birthday parties, memorials, and more. Myesha decided to create bartender content on social media platforms to keep the creative and performance side of her active. She has also bartendeded at Don Quixote numerous times for events. Myesha is now a full-time bartender for the new location of Soho House on Holloway street in West Hollywood. It's our final trek into the off-the-grid shenanigans...hopefully just for this season though because we are obsessed with this show. It's the Love off the Grid finale and it is full of unseen footage and absolutely absurd mealtime antics. We continue to discuss our undying love for Charlie, we meet Spence's family, we learn Josh's huge secret, and Joe and Myesha are NOT starting a cult (Myesha has won us over so maybe we'd be willing to join their not-cult now?). Come hang with us for the final episode of Love off the Grid season one! Exciting announcement...we're starting a Patreon so we can cover more trash tv!! Pastor Dan began a series the previous week on the Making of a Prophetic Generation. Being prophetic is inseparable from being the actual body of Christ. As you follow Jesus as Lord, the unction of the Holy Spirit through you is inevitable. As we grow into the depths of walking in the Spirit, an important part of the process is being renewed to better understand our identity in Christ. Myesha speaks on being a dear child accepted by the Father. Pastor Tim Kirschenmann closes out the message on identity and the Father's love. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/dsmhollywood/support
