Chinggay and Patty fixate on their current Hallmark kinks: Patagonia sad dads and crumbs from a kind friend-to-lover. This week's movies fall under No Man's Land season, where random themes reign supreme — female empowerment care of fighter pilot moms and car mechanic daughters. Two favourite actresses, Erin Cahill and Rachel Boston, return for less than stellar movies; and two favourite Hallmark hunks Niall Matter and Tyler Hynes battle it out (and fail). At the end of the day, it's the dude who scratches the dependability itch that trumps all.John Mayer dependability kinkA Taste of Love (Erin Cahill, Martin Kove) The More Love Grows (Rachel Boston, Warren Christie)Come Fly with Me (Heather Hemmes, Niall Matter)Shifting Gears (Katherine Barrell, Tyler Hynes)Guiding Emily (Sarah Drew, Antonio Cupo)Thanks to Pietro Lazatin for our music and Paola Lazatin for our cover artFollow us on Twitter: @makeithallmark and on Instagram: @butmakeithallmark

"Love at First Dance" Hallmark Trailer About "Love at First Dance" "Love at First Dance" first premiered on June 16, 2018. Mark Jean directed "Love at First Dance." Mark as 65 directing credits including, most recently, "Holiday Hotline" from 2023. His directing career dates back to 1985 where his first directorial project was an episode of “Tales from the Darkside” - a horror anthology series. Nina Weinman wrote the script. Everyone knows Nina. She currently has 32 writing credits including "Catch Me If You Claus" from last year's Countdown Christmas. She also wrote another movie starring Niall Matter - “Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater” in 2020. Becca Tobin stars as Hope. Becca has just 15 acting credits but also appeared in 49 episodes of the FOX series "Glee" as Kitty Wilde. For Hallmark, she was most recently in "The Wedding Contract" from the summer of 2023. Fan favorite Niall Matter plays Eric. Niall currently has 64 acting credits. We last saw him in “Holiday Hotline” and as DJ Ginger Jeff in “A Santa Summit.” We'd like to see Niall reprise his role as Jackson in the "Family History Mysteries" franchise. Cecilia Deacon plays fiancé Adrianna. Cecilia has 15 acting credits and appeared in “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Home Again” and “A Timeless Christmas” for Hallmark. Also noteworthy, she has appeared in 2 episodes of the CW series “Nancy Drew” - BINGO. Call to add a square to the GGH BINGO card: Laura Soltis. Laura plays Leona. She appears in a lot of Hallmark movies and currently has 61 acting credits. We last saw her in “A Season for Family” during Countdown to Christmas. I'm ready for Laura to have a lead role for Hallmark. There aren't enough roles for women of a certain age and Barbara Niven needs a vacation. Niall Matter told Media Village in 2018 that this movie was filmed in both Victoria, B.C. as well as New York, saying “No green screen, it was real!” Other filming location included the Royal Theatre in Victoria as well as the Empress Hotel. Filming took place from late April to early May 2018. IMDB ratings are kind of low for this movie with 6.5/10. What's Coming to Girls Gone Hallmark in February?
Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, the podcast where we discuss all things Hallmark movies! In this week's episode, we are excited to review "Holiday Hotline" starring the charming Niall Matter and Emily Tennant. Julie Sherman Wolfe has written a delightful addition to your Thanksgiving and Christmas movie lineup. So sit back, relax, and let's talk turkey! Chinggay and Patty trudge through the holiday sludge before getting to the cream of the crop of this week. Nikki deLoach gets crowned as Queen of all Couples In Trouble ™, Lucas Bryant and Stephen Huszar are nominated as Dead Eyes Sr. and Jr., and Lacey Chabert looks fab in off-shoulder tops. The cameo to end all cameos happens this week, plus a callback to “You've Got Mail” that makes Niall Matter one of our top DILFs.Navigating Christmas (Chelsea Hobbs, Stephen Huszar)A World Record Christmas (Nikki DeLoach, Lucas Bryant, Aias Dalman)A Merry Scottish Christmas (Lacey Chabert, Scott Wolf)Holiday Hotline (Emily Tennant, Niall Matter)Thanks to Pietro Lazatin for our music and Paola Lazatin for our cover artFollow us on Twitter: @makeithallmark and on Instagram: @butmakeithallmark
Merry Thanksgiving from The Hallmark Cafe! In this episode, we travel to Scotland, where Michael visits his roots, for A Merry Scottish Christmas. Lacey Chabert is paired with one time co-star Scott Wolf in a story of royalty and romance in Scotland. The story takes pace in a Scottish castle where the pipes are gently calling (and we're not talking about the hundreds of years old plumbing) Throw in a scene stealing cameo from a fellow Hallmark star and it's whimsy galore in the highlands. For dessert, we talk movies and turkey with our own call-in to the very funny, Holiday Hotline. Emily Tennant and Niall Matter cook up some steam in this homage to the classic films, The Shop Around The Corner and You've Got Mail by putting a modern spin on a timeless plot. Your place at the table is ready!

Happy Thanksgiving to our American Listeners. Hope you enjoy your time with your family today. This week we are reviewing Nantucket Noel starring Trevor Donovan and Sarah Powers as well as A Christmas Together with You starring Niall Matter, Laura Vandervoort and Harry Linux. Not going to lie, both movies were duds for us this week. Nantucket Noel was boring. It is the same story trope Hallmark has done a million times of evil developer comes to tear down a landmark, and local business owner fights them. I do have to say the ending was different. Unlike the other movies with the same trope, the developer still had to tear down the wharf. There were some points that had us cracking up though, like a topless mermaid on the mural of a children's toy store and grandpa was a Grinch. lol. A Christmas Together with You was only slightly better. The storyline of the older couple was much better and in our opinion, Steve and Megan was an afterthought. Come on Hallmark, just tell the love story of an older couple without the younger one as a lead. It's a surprise. I give Nantucket Noel 1 star, Kayla gives it 2.5 stars. A Christmas Together with you got 2 stars from me. 3 from Kayla November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. Kayla has epilepsy. It's our 10th episode, y'all! To celebrate, Lori & Jane are covering a niche topic this week. We know this may not appeal to all our listeners, but we also know it'll appeal to a LOT of TV movie fans. This week, we're covering our favorite Hallmark movies, in honor of the start of 2019's Countdown to Christmas.Note: We know we had some discrepancies in this episode. We pronounced Niall Matter's name wrong, we messed up some of the plot points of the movies, and who knows what else. We admit we recorded this episode after a long day of podcasting, and it shows - we were tired. Forgive us for getting some things wrong!
Niall Matter grew up on a dairy farm and worked on oil rigs until an accident forced him to confront the fact that he really wanted to be was an actor. Fast-forward a few years, and Niall is living his dream. He played a bad-boy genius on Eureka and a bad boy inventor on Primeval New World. In recent years, Niall has become a go-to leading man in the Hallmark realm. He portrays a college professor named Nick Miller in the Aurora Teagarden movies, acting opposite Candace Cameron Bure (Full House) – and earlier this year, he won the Leo Award for Best Lead Performance By A Male in a Television Movie for Frozen in Love. Niall spoke with Sabrina Furminger about his remarkable origin story, working in sci-fi and on the Hallmark Channel, and why he considers himself a member of the crew first and foremost.
Hallmark aired this movie originally on June 16, 2018 and Katie went to school with the lead, so of course we had to discuss "Love at First Dance." Even though, was it? Is it? That's not a thing, right?
Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete join Erin Krakow and Niall Matter in a special “Meet the Peetes” episode of Hallmark Channels’ Official Podcast. Holly and Rodney offer an inside look at the Peete family and share their stories of love, family and inspiration.

We also are thrilled to gain further insight into the Studio 54 Disco Ball thanks to our first ever Artifact Expert Email Correspondent, New York music journalist Prof. Carol Cooper. Part 108B will be out ASAP, and over there, we have an in-person interview with an award-winning historian of mathematics. We can't wait to see you on the other side!

Yay! @happilyneverafter is back in full effect! For episode 19, we are bringing you Love at First Dance from the June Weddings series! Becca Tobin, from the late (and not as great) Glee seasons, plays rejection-fatigued dance instructor, Hope Maze and Niall Matter, of other Hallmark pursuits, is Eric Gunderson, an up and coming financial executive. Eric’s getting married to his super hot financial robot fiancé, Adriana, and this wedding is all business. Also, Eric can’t dance. How on earth is a high society wedding gonna fly without a professionally choreographed dance by the bride and groom? Enter Hope, her fabulous dance outfits and maybe the first four steps of the waltz. As Eric spends more time with Hope, he begins to reconnect with his artsy side which does not bode well for his business dealings, uh we mean undying love, for fiancé Adriana. Turns out falling in love with your dance instructor is easy when she’s the only one willing to hang out with you for several days in a row and is getting paid to do it. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Welcome to our Hallmark movie podcast where a friend and I watch one of these ridiculous movies, get together and proceed to dismantle them trope by trope and stereotype upon stereotype...until there is nothing left. Oh, while we drink. This time, we bring you Frozen in Love to close out our Hallmark Winterfest recaps. Rachel Leigh Cook – remember She’s All That? Heck yeah you do! – is the owner of a failing bookstore who’s oddly attached to the classics and has never left her parents’ dinner table. Niall Matter is Adam Claiborne, a pro hockey player who can’t control his well-intended temper tantrums on the ice. Thanks to old college connections, a smokin’ hot, but she’s ethnic so we ignore it, PR lady comes up with a genius idea to pair these two up in an effort to rehab professional images and save bookstores. Brace yourself for the gratuitous Tom and Huck references and sled along with us to the politics and murder-free sleepy town of DENVER, COLORADO where these antics apparently qualify as front page news. Although Mary and Adam’s first encounter starts off pretty rocky (shocker), they grow and mature just enough to set aside their differences about whether bookstores really are just coffee shops with books and what hockey actually is. And by the end of roughly four weeks, Anna and Kristoff…err, Mary and Adam, fall Frozen in Love. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Natalie Moretti (Chicago Actress/Musician) joins Patrick Serrano to discuss Busy Phillips Instagram account (Specifically, how it is superior to Candace Cameron Bure's.) and of course, Hallmark Channel's Engaging Father Christmas (Starring Erin Krakow, Niall Matter, and Wendie Malick.) --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/lifetime-uncorked/message
From 2011: Bad news for former “Ugly Betty” actor Christopher Gorham -- Buddy TV just named Niall Matter “the hunkiest nerd in the history of TV.” That’s right: the man who plays Deputy Sheriff Jo’s love interest, Zane Donovan, on the Syfy hit “Eureka,” is officially hot.
Today's Guest: Actor Colin Ferguson, star of Syfy's "Eureka" and "Haven" EUREKA -- Season:4 -- Pictured: (l-r) Salli Richardson-Whitfield as Allison Blake, Niall Matter as Zane Donovan, Joe Morton as Henry Deacon, Erica Cerra as Jo Lupo, Neil Grayston as Douglas Fargo, Colin Ferguson as Jack Carter, James Callis as Dr. Grant -- (Photo: Art Streiber/Syfy) As Sheriff Carter on the Syfy series “Eureka,” now in its fourth season, Colin Ferguson is the kind of guy I’d like to be: a manly man but a technological doofus who the ladies nonetheless find endearing and sexy. Seriously, Carter is the kind of doofus you wouldn’t mind owning up to if real life came with the charm and earnestness with which Ferguson embues the role. COLIN FERGUSON podcast excerpt: "Carter and Allison still have problems. It's not a done deal: 'They're dating, so the show is over.' Everybody was saying if you hook them up, it's the death of the show. But critically, and by the numbers, it was our best season ever." Order 'Eureka: The Complete Series' (Amazon Exclusive), available from Amazon.com by clicking on the DVDs above! “Eureka” is one of the great hidden gems of all cable television. I caught a few minutes of it early in season three for the first time while switching channels in the kitchen one night and was hooked by a contentious discussion between Sheriff Carter and his kickass deputy, Jo. Shortly thereafter, my wife ordered the show on Netflix and we watched every episode with my daughter until we caught up. It is one of our favorite all-time shows and one of the few TV programs around which we will all rearrange our schedules. Until you see an episode, this may sound crazy, but “Eureka” is kind of an earthbound “Star Trek: The Next Generation” with streaks of “Moonlighting” and “The Big Bang Theory” thrown in. When it crossed over with another SyFy network favorite, “Warehouse 13” a few months ago, we were in heaven; I keep hoping NBC can figure out a way to let it eventually cross paths with the tech nerds of “Chuck.” “Eureka” is back for an all-new Christmas episode on Tuesday, December 7th at 9 p.m. We can’t wait! Today's Guest: Eric Wallace, "Eureka," executive story editor,Mister Terrific, comic book writer Writer Eric Wallace talks about Syfy's 'Eureka! (1 of 2) Order 'Eureka: Season 4.5,' available from Amazon.com by clicking on the DVD cover above! Mr. Media is recorded live before a studio audience that exists in a timeline that closely parallels your own… in the new new media capital of the world, St. Petersburg, Florida! I would have written this introduction hours ago and had plenty of time to polish it, except – as usual – my wife and daughter insisted I drop everything and watch the latest episode of the Syfy original series “Eureka.” Not that it’s ever a tough sell with me – “Eureka” is, after all one of the smartest and most entertaining shows on TV. I know this cable sweet spot doesn’t attract the word of mouth of shows on the networks or on HBO, but trust me, it’s worth your time. On previous shows, I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with several stars of “Eureka,” including Colin Ferguson, Niall Matter and Neil Grayston. But today us fans of the show get an extra dimension: a behind-the-scenes peek with writer and executive story editor Eric Wallace. The Cast of the Syfy original series 'Eureka' ERIC WALLACE audio excerpt: "We made a bold choice to revamp things. We like what we're doing, we feel strongly about it -- let's stick with it. This is the real universe. We're staying here and not going back. We thought the best way to do it was just not to comment. Syfy said, 'Go for it and don't ever go back.'" DC Comics' Mister Terrific #1, written by Eric Wallace Wallace joined the show in season one as an assistant before joining the writing stuff full time. Now he’s one of the most visible faces of the show’s writing room and his work is featured on the August 8 episode. And when he’s not writing for “Eureka,” Wallace has a second gig as a comic book writer. He’s behind “Mister Terrific,” one of the titles DC Comics is launching as a first issue this fall (Sept. 14).
