Parece un trabalenguas, pero con esta verdad absoluta el cantante, tresero y compositor Faustino Oramas, reconocido con el nombre artístico de "el Guayabero", sostuvo una extensa andadura repartiendo décimas y sabiduría popular por toda la isla. La picaresca y la gracia criollas fueron ingredientes esenciales de un vastisimo repertorio donde reinó el son montuno, poderosa llave musical con la que el incansable juglar abrió las puertas de la alegría en todos los escenarios posibles. Falleció a los 95 años en Holguín, su ciudad natal, el 27 de marzo del 2007. Los cantos, toques y alambres centenarios de los soneros cubanos nos siguen conduciendo por los caminos de la memoria. Los albores del siglo XX llegaron con la invención del fonógrafo, desafiando definitivamente al olvido. Nos acompañarán Abelardo Barroso como parte del sexteto del tresero, guitarrista y percusionista Alfredo Boloña; Miguelito García y María Teresa Vera con el sexteto "Occidente" y las voces del Terceto "Yoyo". En 1925 lo integraban Yoyo Rodríguez (güiro), Chucho Aristola (marimbula) y Celedonio Rodríguez (guitarra). En la memoria los antológicos sones de la nación cubana: "Quiéreme Camagüeyana", "Miguel, los hombres no lloran" y "El cangrejito". Unos minutos para revivir la fiebre arrolladora del tango a través de las antológicas señales de la radio independiente cubana. Los máximos intérpretes del género porteño, precedidos por numerosas producciones discograficas y fílmicas, llegaban a la isla para ser recibidos por un público emocionado. Los fanáticos que se habían quedado esperando la visita de Gardel en 1935, frustrada la anunciada llegada del ídolo a la isla por el fatal accidente de aviación que segó su vida en Colombia, recibieron entusiasmados en 1941 al cantor Alberto Gómez. "Los Románticos Gauchos" bajo la conducción del maestro Adolfo Guzmán y las guitarras de Canet, Landa, Llerena y Tabranes, acompañaron al que fuera bautizado por los cubanos de la época como "el cantor del pueblo". Dos emisoras en pugna: RHC Cadena Azul y CMQ. En los estudios de esta última Hugo del Carril presentaba credenciales. ¿ Y qué fuera del feeling sin sus guitarristas acompañantes ?Elena Burke durante años contó con el acompañamiento de Froilán Amézaga. Con estos registros recordamos a este excelente músico quien falleció en La Habana el 28 de junio de 2004 a los 66 años de edad. Unos minutos junto al recuerdo de Elena y Froilán y ciertos clásicos de la canción y el bolero cubanos. Y del feeling nos movemos al mundo del rock de comienzos de los años 70. En la memoria: "Los Barba", una de las bandas veteranas del rock cubano, fundada a finales de 1967. Contra viento y marea, durante uno de los puntos más álgidos de esa década, en ciernes la llamada "ofensiva revolucionaria" que puso punto final a la vida nocturna de los cubanos, la banda salió a la palestra gracias al empeño de un grupo de jóvenes músicos donde fue crucial la dupla del guitarrista Alfonso Fleitas, conocido como "Quicutis", y el pianista José Luis Pérez Cartaya, ambos arreglistas y compositores. El 24 de febrero de 1975, de regreso a La Habana luego de una presentación en Pinar del Río, sus integrantes sufrieron un fatal accidente de carretera donde perdieron la vida José Luis su director, el trompetista Víctor Rodríguez y el percusionista Jorge Vázquez "el muela".

Viajamos a la 29 edición del Festival de Málaga, un festival que cada año busca nuevas miradas y que en esta edición vuelve a apostar por el talento emergente y la presencia femenina en la dirección. Allí nos espera su director Juan Antonio Vigar y muchas de las películas que pasan por el certamen. Uno de los títulos que ha despertado más expectación es La mujer de la fila, la vuelta al cine de Benjamín Ávila una historia desgarradora basada en hechos reales que nos muestra la situación penitenciaria en Argentina, de todo hablamos con su director y su actriz protagonista, Natalia Oreiro. Otro de los títulos muy esperados es “Cada día nace un listo”, la nueva comedia negra de Arantxa Echevarría que pasa por la sección oficial fuera de concurso antes de llegar a salas, con ella y los actores protagonistas charlamos.
