Do you want to know why sex workers and human rights organisations are against the ‘Nordic Model' of sex work criminalisation, even though it claims to decriminalise the sex worker? As you may or may not know, there is currently a government consultation on the UK Police and Crime Bill. Some of the proposed amendments to this bill would mean the introduction of something called the ‘Nordic Model' of criminalising sex work. On the surface this model (sometimes called the ‘End Demand' model) is pitched as a ‘feminist' way to criminalise sex work, because it claims to decriminalise the sex seller and criminalise the sex buyers. However, the Nordic Model has been proven to increase violence against workers every where it has been introduced. This law being implemented in the UK would be incredibly dangerous for sex workers, and would make it easier for perpetrators of violence to harm this already-marginalised group of workers. I invited writer, performer, activist and ex-stripper Stacey Clare to do this emergency episode of RGE so that listeners could not only learn about the Nordic Model, and why it is so dangerous, but also so that they could find information on how to write to the government opposing these proposed amendments to the Police and Crime Bill before the deadline of the 13th May. Un sujet qui concerne nombreux d'entre nous, et en tout cas toutes les personnes qui ont à prévoir dans leur rénovation, des travaux d'isolation, de menuiseries extérieures, ou de chauffage. Dans cet épisode, j'ai voulu vous éclairer sur la rénovation énergétique et notamment sur le sujet qui peut être un peu compliqué : les aides financières que l'on peut obtenir.  Nicolas de Synerciel, que vous connaissez déjà puisqu'il s'agit d'un partenaire du podcast, et Olivier de Rénolib, ont répondu à toutes mes questions sur le sujet. On a parlé des types de travaux qui entrent dans le cadre d'une rénovation énergétique, de DPE, d'artisans certifiés RGE, de primes CEE, de Ma Prime Renov… si tout ça c'est du chinois pour vous, ne vous inquiétez pas vous allez tout très vite comprendre grâce à cet épisode ! On a aussi parlé d'isolation par l'intérieur ou l'extérieur, de changement de menuiseries, de pompe à chaleur et poêle à granules, de VMC, de comment monter vos dossiers de demandes d'aides pour qu'ils soient acceptés, de comment faire pour ne pas devoir avancer l'argent,  de comment éviter le fameux labyrinthe administratif, et des ressources en ligne sur lesquelles s'informer, en plus de ce podcast.  J'espère vraiment que cet épisode va vous aider et vous éclairer sur ce sujet parfois trop compliqué, mais je ne vous en dis pas plus, et je laisse place à ma conversation avec Nicolas et Olivier.
