Clare's electorate is being urged to excercise it's "hard won" democratic right today. Since 7 o'clock this morning, voters here have been beginning to arrive at the 102 polling stations across the county to have their say on the family and care referendums. On the white paper, voters will be asked if they are in favour of broadening the constitutional definition of family to recognise it's foundation on durable relationships as well as marriages. While the green paper will propose replacing the reference to a "women's life within the home" with a recognition of family carers. Pat Wallace, who is now serving his twentieth year as Clare's Returning Officer, says every ballot adds up.

Today we're joined by Auron MacIntyre, BlazeTV host of "The Auron MacIntyre Show," to discuss why the Right isn't winning and the "Total State" takeover of the religion of LGBTQ. We discuss the rainbow brigade's insistence on exposing children to sexuality early on and how this is the key to predation. If you aren't able to stand up against the active destruction of children, you can't stand up against anything — but is the Right really up for this fight? We talk about how most people on the Right are terrified of being labeled anti-gay and the classic "LGB without the T" argument. We argue that you either have a cohesive moral vision or you don't, and if you don't, you'll be picked apart by those who do. We also discuss Ted Cruz tweeting out against Uganda's new anti-homosexuality law (of all humanitarian issues to speak up about) and how he bought into the rainbow narrative. We also discuss what the "Total State" is and whether there's any good news that can come of any of this. --- Timecodes: (01:35) Predators & indoctrinating children (09:27) Pride events and the push to involve children (12:11) "LGB without the T" / Right vs. Left (24:27) Ted Cruz Uganda tweet (32:20) "Phobic" words and the Left's dialectic tactics (38:10) Radical Left vs. radical Right (45:40) DeSantis (48:53) Total State & examples (54:49) Why is LGBTQ the state religion? Welcome to Day 1854 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Do It Right Today – Daily Wisdom Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1854 of our Trek, and it's time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today's trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today's trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16&version=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let's jump right in with today's nugget: Today's quote is from an Unknown Source, and it is: A thing done right today means less trouble tomorrow. Do It Right Today If we don't have the time to do something right today, why do we think we will have the time tomorrow. That is just not logical. Yet, all too often, we race through a project, work, or other activity because we are so busy. Still, we end up not doing it correctly, which takes us even longer when we have to redo what was already done, albeit incorrectly. The key is to slow down, analyze the situation and then work through the problem or project thoughtfully and focus on the details. As my dad told us dozens of times growing up, we should be slow and methodical as we were racing through our activities. It reminds me of the professional photographer who rushed through his photoshoot and said he did not have time to focus his cameras; he had pictures to take. So take time to do it right the first time today, and you will save yourself a lot of trouble in all of your tomorrows. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Peter%203%3A9&version=NLT (2 Peter 3:9) The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.' If you would like to listen to any of our past 1853 treks or read the Wisdom Journal, they are available at Wisdom-Trek.com. I encourage you to subscribe to Wisdom-Trek on your favorite podcast player so that each day's trek will be downloaded automatically. If you would also like to receive our weekly newsletter called ‘Wisdom Notes,' please email me at guthrie@wisdom-trek.com. Thank you so much for allowing me to be your guide, mentor, and, most of all, your friend as I serve you through this Wisdom-Trek podcast and journal. As we take this Trek together, let us always: Live Abundantly (Fully) Love Unconditionally Listen Intentionally Learn Continuously Lend to others Generously Lead with Integrity Leave a Living Legacy Each Day I am Guthrie Chamberlain….reminding you to 'Keep Moving Forward,' ‘Enjoy your Journey,' and ‘Create a Great Day…Everyday'! See you Tomorrow for more daily wisdom!

Pastor Rick continues the series James – Living Right in a Wrong World! There is a lot about this wrong way world that is frustrating and disturbing. James reminds us of the attitude we should have as we walk through this wrong way world. He says, ‘be patient'. That is not easy, but it is possible. The world is not the way it should be – it is wrong. It is wrong because most people in the world are not living by faith in God. You can't be right and be wrong with God. Trials are the inevitable results of a world that is wrong. Trials are unavoidable but they can also be useful if we allow God to do the work only He can do through. What is the difference between Jean-Marie Le Pen’s National Front and Donald Trump’s election as U.S. president? Why should we understand Trump as part of a dangerous “fourth wave” of radical right politicians? Dr. Cas Mudde’s new book The Far Right Today (Polity, 2019) argues that politicians like Le Pen represented a 20th-century marginalized populist radical right party but Trump (and others across the globe) represent a fourth wave in which the 21st-century radical right parties are normalized and mainstreamed all over the world such that three of the world’s largest democracies (India, the United States, and Brazil) have or have had radical right leaders. It is this normalization that Mudde identifies as crucial to our understanding of the radical right around the globe – and any possible responses available from liberal democracies. Cas Mudde is the Stanley Wade Shelton UGAF Professor in the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia and a Professor II in the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo. Mudde has written numerous scholarly books published in 23 languages (many of which focus on extremism and populism) and regularly publishes in popular outlets such as The Guardian. He hosts Radikaal, a podcast about the radical aspects politics, music, and sports. Susan Liebell is an associate professor of political science at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. There's something about the word persuasion that makes your skin crawl. Right? Today, we're going to rant about why that is and how to fix it. Because the truth is: you need persuasion for career advancement. Jason Harris, CEO of Mekanism and Author of The Soulful Art of Persuasion joins the roundtable with his take on the issue. His book is a revolutionary guide to becoming a master influencer in an age of distrust through the cultivation of character-building habits that are essential to both personal growth and sustained business success. This isn’t a book full of tips and life-hacks. Instead, The Soulful Art of Persuasion will develop the habits that others want to be influenced by. This book is based on a radical idea: Persuasion isn’t about facts and argument. It’s all about personal character. Do you ever argue with your partner, with your roommate, with your mother, or whoever you are living with. Yes? Maybe? I am sure you noticed that what you argue about is never really the reason for the argument. Couples don’t break up because one of them did not empty the dishwasher... It seems there is always something bigger, something unacknowledged that is overshadowing the apparent topic of the argument. Right? Today we are featuring the Sculpture “Migratory Soul” by Josh Keyes which you can find here: https://www.instagram.com/joshkeyes.art/ Thank you for tuning in, Camille.

How is the US economy performing today? How should we think about the turn against free markets by prominent figures of the Left and the Right? What economic policies might spur innovation and growth in the future? In this Conversation, Harvard economist N. Gregory Mankiw analyzes the current moment and shares his perspective on the major economic policies and ideas of the Left and the Right. According to Mankiw, the American economy remains robust and dynamic, despite only good (rather than excellent) economic growth in recent years and increased consternation about the rise of inequality. Criticizing policies that rely excessively on central planning, Mankiw calls for high-skilled immigration, innovative approaches to education, and maintaining incentives that yield investment in research and development. He also suggests some alterations in tax and welfare policies that might help ameliorate problems we face in the short and long term.

Mudde makes the explicit call to the mainstream right that they need to consider the limits of what and who they are willing to work with.

Got Guilt? If you are like most caregivers, you probably feel a wee bit guilty taking a little time for yourself. Right? Today, I would like to address the issue of guilt in the context of caregiving. Caregiving is hard enough without adding the extra burden of guilt. Perhaps by recognizing the common sources of guilt, we can begin to intentionally lighten the load.

In the aftermath of the Paris attacks, it's easy to focus on what's not working. But my question to you is what went right today?
“What may be right today, may not be right tomorrow” is how today's guest, Tony Gimple, describes how things can change, as we evolve and develop our property portfolios. The only constant is change and so we need to adapt to these changes, being flexible and agile as we do. Equally, we need a plan and to understand where we want to end up eventually. So, how do we pull this apparently moving target and shifting landscape together then? Well, we shall discuss how and why things change and what we can do about it as they do. Tony, also offers us some advice on how best to structure our affairs as we do.
