During the fourth hour of The Charlie James Show on Monday, June 8, 2026, guest host Heidi Harris covered sports controversies, pop culture, and a final push for the upcoming local elections. She opened with the heavy backlash surrounding Donald Trump's disruptive attendance at the New York Knicks game that night, followed by a discussion on the first public photos of New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel since the Rossini scandal broke. Harris then urged listeners to vote in tomorrow's election before diving into a segment titled "Judging Jews 1," which focused on cultural commentary. Finally, she closed the hour by addressing the controversy surrounding Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Treinen's decision not to wear the team's pride-themed hat during a recent game.

The Cancer Society's asking political parties to stop tinkering around the edges and unite to more strongly fight the disease. It's joined with the Government to each commit another $1 million towards the Sun Smart skin cancer prevention programme. But the Society is also calling for more cervical and lung cancer screening, and to bring down the bowel cancer screening age. Chief Executive Nicola Coom told Mike Hosking skin cancer prevention has been underinvested in for decades, despite being the country's biggest killer. She says there's no doubt we've made a bit of progress in the last few years, but it's not enough to respond to the large number of cancer diagnoses New Zealand is currently facing. In this week's episode, Jennifer dives into parallels between George Orwell’s "1984" and Massachusetts Senate Bill 2246. She explores the newly introduced Senate Bill 2246, which seeks to align Massachusetts’ transportation plan with strict climate mandates by potentially imposing monitored limits on driving miles for residents. She challenges the controversial bill as an infringement on personal freedom and draws unsettling comparisons to Orwellian concepts of mass surveillance, government control, and groupthink. Jennifer takes aim at both the rationale and practicality of basing Massachusetts law on Colorado and Minnesota precedents, sharply criticizing the inefficiency of local public transportation systems and voicing concern over the expanding reach of state authority. This episode is a call for civic action, urging listeners to oppose what she describes as an intrusive and coercive approach to climate policy. “We have some state senator who is acting in a manner and setting up a surveillance commission to monitor how much we drive.” ~Jennifer Nassour This week on Political Contessa: Legislation introduced to monitor and limit driving miles in Massachusetts Comparison of Massachusetts Senate Bill 2246 to George Orwell’s "1984" Basing state laws on Colorado and Minnesota transportation models Concerns over the inadequacy of Massachusetts public transportation Sharp criticism of the state’s management of transportation funds Allegations of groupthink and enforced conformity by the Democratic Party Reflection on the expansion of surveillance technology in daily life Urging civic action to oppose intrusive climate policy initiatives Resources mentioned: Massachusetts Senate Bill 2246 (An Act Aligning the Commonwealth’s transportation plans with its mandates and goals for reducing emissions and vehicle miles traveled) George Orwell’s novel, "1984" Awaken Your Inner Political Contessa Thanks for tuning into this week’s episode of Political Contessa. The second hour of The Charlie James Show focused on the economic and geopolitical fallout of rising oil and gas prices, linking the surge to current foreign policy and the "America First" conservative movement. Charlie contrasted Donald Trump's aggressive stance on Iran and domestic energy production with current costs, fueling a discussion on the whisper campaign targeting U.S. Senate candidate Mark Lynch. After taking caller feedback on the global energy crisis, the hour concluded with a call to action regarding state legislation, specifically urging listeners to contact their representatives to vote "no" on bills H.3831 and H.5071, which critics argue would negatively impact South Carolina taxpayers and infrastructure.
When was the last time you took a bowel cancer screening test? Recent research reveals a significant gap in participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program, with just 24–31 per cent of people who speak a language other than English at home taking part compared to 44–47 per cent of English speakers. Dr Pallavi Sharma says early detection can save lives and calls for culturally tailored campaigns to boost participation among Hindi-speaking communities.
On this episode of the podcast, Amanda Head talks with George Pond, founder of the 7:14 Initiative, to unpack a growing national movement centered on prayer, repentance, and spiritual renewal in America.Inspired by the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and rooted in 2 Chronicles 7:14, Pond explains how the initiative launched in 2022 with a mission to mobilize daily prayer across all 50 states and even internationally, with participation spanning multiple time zones, including Pakistan. The conversation comes as momentum builds around calls for President Trump to issue a formal proclamation of national repentance, echoing Abraham Lincoln's 1863 declaration during one of the most divided periods in American history. With March 30, 2026 (aligned with the Hebrew calendar's 12th of Nisan) approaching as a key moment for coordinated prayer, Pond outlines what this movement hopes to achieve and why its supporters believe America is at a critical crossroads. You can learn more about Pond's 7:14 Initiative by clicking here: https://the714initiative.com/See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Nolan Higdon, author and Disinfo Detox host, dismantles the "aberration" myth surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, exposing his deep ties to US/Israeli/Russian intelligence, insider trading, and elite blackmail networks spanning politics (Trump, Dershowitz), tech (Thiel, Palantir), academia (Chomsky, Summers), and media. Higdon reveals how partial Epstein file releases coincide suspiciously with Trump's Iran strikes—launched amid 30% approval and domestic scandals involving ICE—serving as potential distraction from scrutiny over unreleased files and foreign influence (Adelson/AIPAC). He contrasts US corporate media's sanitised narratives of regime changes (Venezuela's Maduro/Flores kidnapping echoing Panama 1989) with international reporting showing Iran's technological resilience and Israeli military setbacks. He critiques NATO's militarised "media literacy" weaponising education against disinformation while shielding Israel-led wars, Gaza genocide denial, and DARVO "self-defence" claims. Higdon warns of AI surveillance eroding youth cognition/social bonds, big tech's eugenics ideology (Yarvin/Thiel), economic fallout from oil spikes, Greenland piracy, and empire's dehumanising normalisation of child trafficking. Urging diverse sourcing beyond legacy media's Politburo-style control, he reveals 2026's fractures—war profiteering and unaccountable power elites. This sermon presents a prophetic call to the Church to move beyond mere religious association and into a lived, transformative resurrection life in Christ, illustrated through the story of Lazarus. Centered on John 12:1–2, 9, 11 and reinforced by Romans 8:11, 19–22 and Hebrews 3:15, it argues that the world is not drawn to religious routines but to authentic testimonies of divine restoration—where death has been overcome by Christ's power. The preacher distinguishes between the 'first table' of passive faith and the 'second table' of radical, visible resurrection life, challenging believers to embrace their own spiritual deadness as the very place where God's power is most evident. Urging a response to God's voice even in utter helplessness, the message emphasizes that salvation is not earned by effort but received through surrender, and that the Church's greatest witness lies not in doctrine but in the undeniable reality of lives transformed by Christ's resurrection power. The call culminates in a powerful altar invitation, affirming that God still speaks, still raises the dead, and still invites His people to come forth—no matter how wrapped in sin or despair they may be.

Criminals are calling bank customers. A lot. And those calls often are successfully cloaked as originating from banks themselves. Increasingly, these calls are originating from vast operation centers, often overseas, where the objective is to fool bank customers to hand over personal data and information. There are some steps banks, their customers, federal agencies and even Congress can take to address this growing problem. Joining ABA's Paul Benda to discuss these issues on this edition of the ABA Fraudcast are Mike Rudolph, chief technology officer at YouMail, and Jonathan Thessin, VP and senior counsel at ABA, whose portfolio focuses on the telecom ecosystem, FCC, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and all efforts to assist banks and bank customers confronted with this threat. Highlights: 2:00 — Technology as part of a protective ecosystem used by many banks, to short-circuit threats to customers. 13:00 — Defining the "robocall mitigation obligation." 16:00 — The challenge of vetting a telecom company. 18:00 — The difference between an imposter call and spoofed call. 28:00 — How the telecom ecosystem works. 29:00 — Protecting lawful bank calls, while addressing the problem of calls from bad-actors impersonating banks. And what is the extent of ABA's advocacy on these issues? 31:00 — Urging the FCC to take an important final step. 32:53 — What can Congress do. 36:25 — Shout out to Fraudcast episode 1, where bank CEO Dan Robb describes a mass call spoofing campaign with thousands of calls targeting customers of his bank. 42:00 — Thessin on how do bad guys place hundreds of thousands of phone calls very cheaply. 47:00 — Looking into steps banks can take, such as branding tools for caller ID displays. Also referenced is STIR/SHAKEN, the acronym for the framework allowing verification that a call is in fact from the number displayed on caller ID. Learn more from the FCC site. The ABA Fraudcast will be published every three weeks, here and wherever you listen to and subscribe to your favorite podcasts, such as Apple and Spotify. Please follow! ABA offers resources to help banks prevent, identify, measure and report fraud, and to serve and protect consumers and their financial data. 1. Trip Recap & Foreign Relations El Salvador:Cruz praises President Nayib Bukele for drastically reducing homicide rates by aggressively targeting gangs like MS-13 and 18th Street. He contrasts El Salvador’s success with U.S. crime and immigration challenges. Panama:He toured the Panama Canal and highlighted U.S. concerns about China’s growing influence there, including ports, bridges, and tunnels near the canal. Cruz warns that China could disrupt canal traffic in a future conflict, threatening U.S. national and economic security. Mexico:Cruz met with senior Mexican officials (Foreign Secretary, Defense Secretary, Agriculture Secretary). He urged cooperation on border security and dismantling drug cartels, stressing Trump’s policies and a reported 99% drop in illegal border crossings. Mexican leaders, including President Claudia Sheinbaum, rejected U.S. military involvement, citing “sovereignty.” Cruz compared Mexico’s stance to El Salvador’s crackdown and Colombia’s Plan Colombia (early 2000s), arguing that success requires political will. He warned that if Mexico refuses, the U.S. may still act militarily against cartels under Trump’s leadership. 2. Domestic Politics & Crime Cruz and Ferguson shift focus to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, criticizing him for downplaying crime in Chicago. Cruz cites statistics on Chicago’s murder rate (highest in the U.S. for 13 consecutive years) and argues Democrats prioritize criminals over victims. He frames Democrat policies in Illinois, California, and nationally as failures comparable to Mexico’s refusal to confront cartels. 3. Broader Political Commentary Cruz claims Democrats have become the “party of criminals,” siding with offenders over law-abiding citizens. He notes polling showing Americans are highly concerned about crime in cities. Discussion touches on 2025 midterm elections: Republicans may benefit from Democrat extremism. But Cruz worries about a GOP “enthusiasm gap,” citing a special election loss in Iowa. He stresses the need for Republican voter turnout despite Trump’s early policy “successes.” Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now.
