Episode 135 is on the scene and while most of the Mid Atlantic did not race due to rain, the zMAX CARS Tour and Ace Speedway dodged the rain drops just enough to get the entire Late Model race in and over half the Pro Late Model show in to make that official. Landen Lewis picked up his second career win on tour on Saturday and he joins us this week from the shops of Kevin Harvick Incorporated. We discuss racing vs the rain, having legendary crew chief Rodney Childers in his pit stall, the continued support given to him by Hall of Famer Ron Hornaday and what has been the key to getting this team within five points of Connor Hall in the championship points race.Speaking of which, we give exclusive breakdowns of both the Late Model and Pro Late model event from Ace, should penalties had been assessed to some teams who had flat tires that brought out yellows, and give a state of the Tour following the first third of the season with three drivers separated by five points in the title hunt. The Cup Series ran at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday and we review the roller coaster day that saw Joey Logano end up in victory lane from his 27th starting spot. Does Penske Racing seem to have gotten their groove back with two straight wins? How about this racing we see at Texas? Did the boys like what they saw? Nathan Byrd obtained his career best finish on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driving for Young's Motorsports on Friday at Texas.  The Arizona turned Indiana native joins us to tell us about his career that started off as male cheerleader with racing not being on his radar. His radar eventually led him to karting and after running many disciplines of racing, he had dreams of running the Indy 500 which his family either sponsored entries or owned them. That dream did not come to pass but an entry into the fast speedways of NASCAR opened up and his story is one of the best we have ever told on this program! We serve up a few dubs from the weekend, tell you who's racing in the Mid Atlantic this weekend while we preview the action from Kansas & much more fun this week on DLN!

In a shocking announcement, co-owners Tony Stewart and Gene Haas revealed that Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) will cease operations at the conclusion of the 2024 NASCAR season, marking the end of an era for the championship-winning team. The decision did not come lightly, as Stewart and Haas acknowledged the immense commitment and resources required to compete at the highest level of motorsports. Despite their success, which includes two NASCAR Cup Series titles in 2011 and 2014, the duo felt it was time to "pass the torch" due to the demanding nature of the sport. Established in 2009 through a partnership between Stewart and Haas, SHR quickly rose to prominence, with Stewart capturing the team's inaugural NASCAR Cup Series win at Pocono Raceway that same year. The following seasons saw the team expand to a four-car operation, adding drivers like Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, and Danica Patrick to their roster. Harvick's arrival in 2014 proved to be a pivotal moment, as he and crew chief Rodney Childers delivered SHR's second Cup championship that same year. SHR's impact on the sport is undeniable. The team has collected 69 Cup wins, 339 top-five finishes, and 695 top-ten finishes throughout its tenure. Despite the impending closure, Stewart and Haas have vowed to maintain their commitment to their personnel, partners, and fans through the 2024 season finale at Phoenix Raceway. The team will work diligently to assist their employees in finding new opportunities beyond the 2024 race season.

Legendary broadcaster Barney Hall passed away Tuesday night at the age of 83. We'll talk about how we'll remember Mr. Hall and his legendary career.  Regan Smith got a ride at Tommy Baldwin Racing over the past week in a surprising move that saw young driver Alex Bowman lose his ride. We'll discuss what the future holds for Bowman and what we expect from Regan Smith in 2016.  David Ragan also found a ride, driving the No. 23 Toyota for BK Racing in 2016. Ragan will join teammate Matt DiBenedetto in the No. 83 Toyota. We discuss what we expect from BK Racing and if this was the right move or not.  Also we discuss what rides are still avaiable as there are some key names still not locked into a ride for 2016.  JD Motorsports announced their plans for the 2016 season announcing that Ryan Preece and Ross Chastain will run a full season for the team and Eric McClure will run Daytona for the organization. The team is ready for the Chase.  Also Clayton is furious at that there has not been a solution for the Charter system as of yet. We are two weeks from teams going to Daytona and teams should know whether or not they're going to Daytona or not.  Blake Koch announced his plans with a new team for the 2016 season. It's good to see a new team start up in the XFINITY Series.  Kevin Harvick's crew chief Rodney Childers said that he thinks his team peaked too soon in the season last year. We'll discuss what those comments mean and whether or not there are any critics to the format we'd like to see.  Tony Stewart's comments on Brian France not being visable in the garage area. Not a surprise.  Plus we take your phone calls at 917-889-8280 on any other topics you would like to discuss.
