#039 BBB - Entrepreneurs Can Party Jeannette being interviewed by Scott Stockdale   DESCRIPTION In this episode, Jeannette is being interviewed by Scott Stockdale from Entrepreneurs Can Party. They discuss her mentoring work. But the majority of this podcast focuses on the property development side of Jeannette´s business. Including, why she started it. As well as the path she followed to gain the knowledge she needed to make it a success.   She explains what their five-year plan is and how that will be achieved. They talk about the buy to let, how to use refurbish-refinance models that Jeannette and her partner are using and how all of this is done in a hand´s off way.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Property development is a good way to build long-term wealth. Certain kinds of property development can also create short-term cashflow. Educating yourself properly before starting a property business is wise. Using a mentor enables you to bounce ideas off of them and avoid taking wrong turns and making expensive mistakes. Being prepared to hire the right people to cover any skill gaps enables you to grow much faster. You need to put a lot of effort into establishing your team. Make sure you build in sufficient redundancy into your team, so things don´t collapse if someone goes sick. Re-investing what you earn into buying more properties enables you to build a stock of high-value assets surprisingly quickly. You need to be clear at the outset about what you are planning to do with each property. You do not necessarily have to deal with builders or tenants. Property can be a hand´s off business. Once you have got your processes in place things move faster. You should only use a mentor if you are ready to act. As a mentor, you need to be a good listener. If you are not you cannot understand your client and provide them with sound guidance. Understanding what you want from life, is critical, it is the first step to success.   BEST MOMENTS ‘I wanted to create multiple streams of income, long term wealth, short term cash flow, and to be my own boss. Property development has been a part of that.’ ‘The best investment you can make is in yourself.´ ‘If you know where you´re heading, then it is much easier to get there. ’ ‘Believe in yourself and live your life so that you won’t have any regrets at the end of your life. ’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Brave, Bold, Brilliant podcast series   Links to Episode on Entrepreneurs Can Party: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/entrepreneurs-can-party/id1500768698 https://open.spotify.com/show/2R5JpRT1klKvcxuYXsxK8x https://overcast.fm/itunes1500768698/entrepreneurs-can-party   ABOUT SCOTT STOCKDALE Scott Stockdale is an SEO executive at THG and host of Entrepreneurs Can Party: a top 10 rated podcast on which Scott chats with inspiring entrepreneurs who are showing that business can and should be fun! Taking her first steps into the world of business at just 14 she has since built herself up quite the career. Making it to the final five of The Apprentice season 13 wasn’t the first time she’d experienced success, as prior to becoming a household name she had escalated her tennis events company to become the leading player in its field. Solving issues with shopping during COVID via her new online ordering platform, Shopping Slot, and lending a hand to budding entrepreneurs through a new coaching scheme, there’s little this individual can’t do. And it's not me helping them out. It's all about them because it's their business. And I think, especially if you're not an established business person, which you know, I'm not I'm still I'm still young, I'm still a baby business, I'm still a baby businesswoman. If I start taking on too many things, I lose the focus on what she really matters, and that's growing my business."I chat to Sabrina Stocker, best known for appearing on the BBC One show The Apprentice. Welcome to the trailer for Episode #7, Season 2 of the Festival Of Enterprise podcast 2020."I'm really happy where it is at the moment. We've got a team of 42. We've got 10 venues with, you know, the biggest event company in the UK. I'm happy where it is. And again, I think the true spirit of an entrepreneur is that you just don't want to have one business. You want to have several. And if I spent the next 10 years really investing into this tennis business, and there's only you know, there is only so much a tennis business can grow. Then if everything falls apart, I'd have nothing else to go on to. So I'm in a place now where I'm launching a new business but allowing the current one to keep running in the background."Join me later this week for the full episode with Sabrina Stocker, Founder of My Tennis Events and best known for appearing on the BBC One show The Apprentice. 082LL Never Being Average; Interview with Sabrina Stocker, Semi-Finalist on The Apprentice 2018 & Founder of My tennis Events, The Largest Provider of Tennis Events in the UK.    DESCRIPTION  ‘Don’t ever settle on average, when it comes to business, friendships, relationships don’t settle on average’  Catherine is in conversation with Sabrina Stocker, Finalist on The Apprentice 2018 and Founder of My tennis Events, the largest provider of tennis events in the UK.  Sabrina started her first business at the age of 14 and encapsulates what it is to be entrepreneurial in every sense. In this in-depth interview, she talks with Catherine about taking part in The Apprentice, women in business, listening to Tony Robbins as a teenager, and why she would have loved an A to Z of how to start a business when she began.  This is a great listen with loads of value, tune in     KEY TAKEAWAYS  What happens to people after the apprentice?  There are only a handful of us who are still in business or have followed through with their business ideas, the majority have gone back into their jobs because running a business is hard.  My biggest drive was if I don’t do it now when will I do it?  Coupled with ‘if I do what everyone else is doing then I will be as average as everyone else’ and I have a fear of being average.  What made you stand out?  My energetic character and positive personality coupled with my business mind and my unique aspect of being someone in the business of sport was key.  How have you kept the momentum?  I have been very active on social media. The reason I have become successful is ‘yes I’ve been on a TV show but I also have a 6 figure business’.  I want to grow my business but also diversify; to run entrepreneurial workshops, develop my public  speaking and create courses that allow others to start  businesses  If I had won I’d be spending 80 hours on my tennis business instead of 20 hours on that business with the other 60 hours on passion projects.  What is the key first hire for a business?  Its somebody to do the jobs that take up the time but have to be done. This allows you to move from the day to day activities and start working strategically growing the business.  There is nothing behind a good entrepreneur other than a good team.  What makes an entrepreneur?  If you have created yourself a lifestyle where you are in complete control and  you have a business where you are providing value with the team then you can say you are an entrepreneur.      BEST MOMENTS  ‘I thought if I don’t win the apprentice I’ll utilise the media as much as I can and its opened up lots of opportunities but only because I’ve made that happen’  ‘You’ve got to find that fire in yourself’  ‘ Anyone can talk but have they got something to talk about?’  ‘So glad I didn’t win because the business plan I submitted was the wrong one’     VALUABLE RESOURCES  Sabrina Stocker website  Sabrina Stocker Instagram  Sabrina Stocker LinkedIn  The Leveraged Lifestyle Podcast  Leveraged Lifestyle Community: bit.ly/llocfbgroup  www.theviva.club  Leveraged Lifestyle Summit VIP Priority Notification List: bit.ly/llsummit2019  LLOM - Life Leverage Online Masterclass bit.ly/ctfbgroup  https://www.turnerinvest.co.uk/  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGS2wM9QEqg  Ideal Media: www.ideal-collective.com/socialagency  Women Building Wealth Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/993747404052781/      ABOUT THE HOST  Catherine Turner  Catherine is an iTunes No.1 podcast host of Leveraged Lifestyle, entrepreneur, businesswoman, an Inspirational Speaker, world record holder, Co-Director of Ideal-Collective.com and a mum of 2!  Catherine quit being an employee in 2013, after working more than 50+ hours on average a week, over 3 jobs. Jobs, hours and a lifestyle which led to a diagnosis of clinical depression before the age of 25.  In 2011/12 Catherine discovered the power of investing in property, and tried many different property investment strategies over the years, finally settling on Serviced Accommodation in 2015, which has now grown from one unit in her home town of Chelmsford, Essex to over 50 across the UK, helping investors, landlords and developers create a better return on their money or property.  This year, Catherine and her husband Stephen, also her business partner, joined forces with the Directors of LoLite Homes to create the Ideal-Collective.com, which is all about leveraging the services and knowledge of all four Directors when it comes to Serviced Accommodation, Social Media, Finance & Virtual Assistants.  Catherine started Leveraged Lifestyle podcast to give business owners and those not leading their ideal lifestyle, to learn the mindset and skillset it takes to create a lifestyle of Freedom, by leveraging time, money & knowledge and using outsourcing and systemisation.    CONTACT METHOD  Media@ideal-collective.com    http://www.ideal-collective.com   www.instagram.com/catherineannt   www.facebook.com/catherineturnerspeaker   www.linkedin.com/in/catherineturnerspeaker
