The Asshole UmpiresBlake and Gabe tackle high magnetic resonance in the atmosphere, tech issues, we explore Shin Soo Choo's alcoholism, Shelly Winters' tits, The 2010 box office, and we are served a stark reminder of how EVERYTHING used to be better. Strap in, its a bumpy one, but you must embrace the pain. S2, E4: Kolten Wong is a Brewer! The Brewers finally make a move to bolster their roster heading into the 2021 campaign, and it’s the top defensive second baseman and former divisional foe. Was the Wong signing the right move to make for a cash-strapped Crew? How will he fit in with the thin crop of position players? Will Hiura be able to handle first base in light of the move? This takes the Brewers out of the running for Justin Turner, right? Reports have surfaced that they’re still interested in Turner, and first baseman/right fielder Shin-Soo Choo. Does this mean Ryan Braun’s career is all but over? And lastly, how does the Brewers’ current roster stack up against their division rivals? Are the Cardinals now the team to beat? What can we make of the Cubs sans Darvish, Lester, and Schwarber? We cover a lot in today’s episode, from the biggest offseason move to the low-profile Blaine Hardy acquisition. Despite the fact that the 2019 MLB trade deadline is a mere days away, the teams have been suspiciously quiet on the transaction market. With far too few trades to report on, today's episode is devoted to the game theory aspect of fantasy baseball.Scott Pianowski is joined by Sammy Reid of RotoGrinders to talk about his experiences playing poker full-time and how all fantasy owners can apply poker strategy and game theory to their seasonal leagues (2:15).Next, Scott and Sammy talk about fantasy football's "zero RB" strategy and how it relates to the supply and demand of starting pitchers in fantasy baseball (19:50). Sammy offers some advice as to where a lot of owners go wrong when drafting pitchers and offers some ways to out-game your competitors when it comes to finding pitching.Scott later asks Sammy how he feels about a pair of Texas Rangers in Shin-Soo Choo and Joey Gallo (30:20).Later, the guys wrap up the show discussing the strategic differences between DFS and seasonal fantasy leagues (35:10) and close out the podcast drafting their favorite things from the movie Rounders (38:50).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Scott @Scott_PianowskiCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

We saw Prince Fielder in the stands! He used to be a Ranger! Weird! Look, the trade deadline is ever-looming, so we’re ever-gonna talk about it. There was also a skirmish in Los Angeles the other day, in case you hadn’t heard. Later, Hayden and Max start talking about the life of a bullpen catcher and jump headlong into a rabbit hole as to what makes baseball so real, beautiful, messy, and human. We would be committing a crime to Shin-Soo Choo and his wife if we didn’t talk about how he’s literally twice as good as the average baseball player, and oh yeah, the Rockies are in town. Were you interested in hearing about the 80s classic The Goonies? Well, we went there. But we needed something positive to talk about and baseball simply wasn’t providing that positivity. We discuss all the injuries. The big name is Kyle Schwarber. We discuss who on the Cubs could benefit from that. In the outfield, we like Colby Rasmus, Nick Markakis, Michael Saunders and Drew Stubbs as possible replacements. Other injuries that we talk about are Robinson Chirinos, Shin-Soo Choo, Carl Crawford, and DeGrom. On the batting side, there were a couple kids to think about. For keeper leagues, Gary Sanchez and Wilson Conteras are interesting catchers. In the outfield, Max Kepler nad Mallex Smith got the call and have interesting tools. But if you do one thing, PICK UP NICK MAZARA. Todd thinks he’s going to be an instant superstar and in his first game, he went 3 for 4 with a homer. This guy can help you immediate, run do not walk to go pick this guy up. Todd’s bold call is ROY, future all-star, “next big thing”, just do it. Mazara’s bat intrigues all the scouts. Todd likes him as a 35hr - .300 average guy. Perhaps not this year, but he’s got that kind of potential. As always, check us out on Twitter @2020AllStars, Instagram 2020AllStars, and iTunes.
