I sit down with the Butterchicken' Ass-kickin' Bollywood Boyz as they talk about their wrestling career as individuals and as a tag team. Die WWE wird am kommenden Sonntag zum sinnbildlichen Schlachtfeld. Bei WWE Battleground treffen die Superstars von SmackDown! aufeinander und kämpfen um Ruhm, Ehre und Titel. Wir schauen voraus auf diese Großveranstaltung. Kevin Scheuren (@KS_0811) und Thomas Steuer (@Steuerkreuz) tun das für euch und sie beginnen mit der großen Story von Monday Night RAW diese Woche. Denn Jason Jordan ist der Sohn von RAW-General Manager Kurt Angle. Nach monatelangen Andeutungen, verschwörerischen SMS und Twitter-Nachrichten, wurde die Katze am Montag aus dem Sack gelassen. Der Modellathlet Jason Jordan, ehemals Teil von American Alpha, wurde das Kind einer Liebschaft des Olympiasiegers von 1996. Aber ist Jason Jordan die richtige Wahl? Wäre Chad Gable nicht viel sinniger gewesen? Überwiegt bei Jordan das Risiko oder die Chance? Dann starten wir durch mit der Vorschau auf Battleground. Dort trifft Jinder Mahal auf Randy Orton. In einem Punjabi Prison Match will er seinen WWE Championtitel verteidigen. Aber ist bei Mahal nicht Hopfen und Malz endgültig verloren? In seinen Promos wirkt er nach wie vor Fehl am Platz. Randy Orton hat bei SmackDown! eindrucksvoll gezeigt, wie Intensität vor so einem Match auszusehen hat. Haben selbst die Singh Brothers den Champ überflügelt? Wie sieht es mit einem Cash-In von Baron Corbin aus, wenn Orton gewinnen sollte? Sinn würde es schon machen. Bei Battleground werden die Fragen beantwortet, vorher wird bei uns alles ausdiskutiert. AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens und auch Rusev sind zukünftige Topstars für den SmackDown!-Kader. Sie verbinden gute Fähigkeiten im Ring mit Charisma und Talent am Mikrofon. Sie alle haben ein Match bei Battleground. Aber alle hängen irgendwie auch durch, es fehlt die Charakterentwicklung und auch sonst setzen die WWE-Entscheider nicht wirklich auf sie. Woran liegt das? Wie kann man das ändern? Wo sehen wir die vier im Laufe des Jahres? Wir sind uns da auch nicht so ganz einig. Wie sieht das bei euch aus? It’s a tale of two WWE shows… You’ve got Smackdown which has set up a lot of stars, including Jinder Mahal, The Singh Brothers and Breezango, for the spotlight that’s eluded them in their careers. But is that push coming too fast and too soon? We’ll take a look.
