President Biden is preparing for a much-anticipated State of the Union address, as many observers focus on his cognitive abilities rather than his rhetoric.

Prior to President Joe Biden's recent State of the Union address, an unexpected showdown transpired as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) urged the leader of the nation to specifically acknowledge Laken Riley, a youthful college scholar whose life sadly came to an end under tragic circumstances. Tragically, her life was allegedly taken away by an individual named Jose Antonio Ibarra, a person suspected to lack legal authorization to reside in the country. The President, during his speech, made a passing mention of the young victim. However, this resulted in some controversy due to a mistake in her first name and his choice of terminology when referring to the person believed to be responsible for her death. The language utilized by the President incited critical feedback predominantly from the left-leaning members of the political sphere. One phrase that lifted some eyebrows, in particular, was the term 'illegal', used when referring to the accused, Ibarra. This phrase garnered substantial attention and pushback from the left. A host of progressively minded politicians, including members of the well-known 'Squad' faction and Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, were among those who vocally disagreed. In his address to the nation, the President remarked, 'Lincoln Riley, a young woman who sadly fell at the hands of an illegal.' This comment, made while brandishing a pin bearing her name - a symbol adopted by many Republicans - led to further controversy. Here the President committed a notable faux-pas - He wrongfully assumed that Riley's parents were present at the event, extending his sympathies to them - 'To her parents, I acknowledge your unbearable loss.
