(The Center Square) – As the government shutdown drags into its 38th day and forced flight reductions begin taking effect, the number of daily flight cancellations Americans are experiencing has skyrocketed. By noon Friday, airlines had slashed 850 flights within, into, or out of the United States – quadruple the number of cancellations made the previous day. The numbers will only increase over the coming days as 40 major U.S. airports implement the Federal Aviation Administration's order to reduce flight volume by 10%, a necessary safety measure as staffing shortages become more severe.Support this podcast: https://secure.anedot.com/franklin-news-foundation/ce052532-b1e4-41c4-945c-d7ce2f52c38a?source_code=xxxxxx Read more: https://www.thecentersquare.com/national/article_e865f9aa-b10a-472d-85bf-4fd9eac4a92b.html Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. When the US Federal Reserve reduced its interest rate by a quarter percentage point last week, establishing the target range at 3.75-4 percent, it was not a bold stimulus but rather a cautious act of navigation. A prolonged government shutdown has left the Fed operating with limited information on inflation and jobs. For India, this development influences the global cost of capital, investor behaviour, and the overall pace of trade. The rate cut was determined under extraordinary conditions. US GDP grew at an annualised rate of 3.8 percent in the second quarter, but more recent indicators suggest a cooling trend. Unemployment has risen to 4.3 percent, job creation has decelerated, and consumer spending is stabilising. Although inflation has decreased to approximately 3 percent year-on-year, it still exceeds the Federal Reserve's 2 per cent target. Typically, policymakers would review fresh September data before making decisions, but since those reports never came, the Federal Reserve had to rely on August data. (The Center Square) – Senate Democrats are set to block Republicans' government funding bill for the 12th time Wednesday, keeping the federal government shut down despite tens of millions of low-income Americans at risk of losing food stamps or early childhood education assistance. Although the U.S. Department of Agriculture will resume core Farm Service Agency financial services Thursday, the unfunded agency cannot provide money to support SNAP or WIC benefits for the month of November, which together serve up to 49 million people. Donate (no account necessary) | Subscribe (account required) Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this episode of The Wright Report, Bryan covers the nearing end of the government shutdown, Trump's legal win allowing National Guard deployments to Portland, a Supreme Court case testing whether drug users can own guns, and international developments involving Chinese espionage, satellite security, auto industry sabotage, and Bolivia's rejection of socialism. Shutdown Nears Its End: White House advisor Kevin Hassett says the government shutdown will likely end this week as Democrats feel pressure from bad polling and looming state budget crises. Trump's Triple B funding bill cut Medicaid loopholes that helped finance health care for illegal immigrants, forcing blue states to raise taxes unless a deal is reached. Court Clears Trump to Deploy the Guard: The Ninth Circuit ruled that Trump can federalize Oregon's National Guard to protect Portland's federal buildings from Antifa violence. Democrats argued the protests were “mostly peaceful,” with one judge claiming the frog-costumed rioters were “having fun.” Bryan calls the decision a reality check against political theater. Immigration and America's Workforce: NPR reports activists in Chicago are blocking ICE operations while a new study projects Trump's deportation policies could reduce the U.S. population by 15 million over the next decade. Bryan argues higher wages and affordable housing will follow, saying, “We don't need to import our workforce — we can build our own.” Supreme Court Weighs Gun Rights for Drug Users: The Court will decide whether people who use marijuana or other drugs can legally own firearms. The case follows a lower court ruling that found “no historical justification” for disarming sober citizens. Bryan invites listeners to weigh in on whether gun ownership and substance use should mix. China's Atomic Clock Breach: Beijing accused the NSA of hacking its national atomic clock, which could disrupt GPS, banking, and military systems. The alleged cyber breach used the cell phones of Chinese scientists to access secure servers. Bryan calls it “proof that nothing online is truly offline.” Satellites Leaking Secrets: U.S. researchers found that half of global satellite transmissions can be intercepted with basic equipment, exposing phone calls, texts, and even military data. Bryan warns listeners to “keep sensitive conversations offline.” Dutch Seize Chinese-Owned Chipmaker: The Netherlands took control of Nexperia, a critical auto-chip supplier, after U.S. intelligence warned China planned to move production back home. The move could disrupt global car manufacturing and tighten supply chains further. Bolivia Rejects Socialism: Voters ousted socialist leaders and elected conservative Rodrigo Paz, who vowed to restore ties with the U.S. and rebuild Bolivia's lithium-rich economy. Bryan says, “Bolivia's victory over socialism should be a warning to voters in New York City.” "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: government shutdown Kevin Hassett, Trump Triple B Medicaid reform, Ninth Circuit National Guard Portland, Antifa Oregon violence, NPR ICE protests Chicago, deportation workforce study, Supreme Court drug users gun rights, NSA China atomic clock hack, satellites data leak UC San Diego, Netherlands Nexperia chip takeover, Bolivia Rodrigo Paz conservative election

Britain's Prince Andrew says he will no longer use his royal titles amid renewed scrutiny over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The move follows allegations detailed in accuser Virginia Giuffre's upcoming posthumous memoir, as King Charles and Prince William reportedly urged him to step back further from royal duties. In a statement, Prince Andrew said “continued accusations” “distract from the work of the royal family,” though he continues to deny the allegations against him. Don Allison and Marcus Cheffen's paths first crossed during a violent robbery in 1996. Years later, they reconnected through a restorative justice program, finding common ground in faith, empathy, and a mission to help others reenter society. Sen. Bernie Sanders joins “CBS Mornings” to talk about the funding fight in Congress as the government shutdown enters day 20, how people should harness the energy of the "No Kings" protests and his new book, “Fight Oligarchy.” Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who served under Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, joins "CBS Mornings" to discuss her new book "Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines." She explains why she left the Democratic Party after two decades to become an Independent. I had to wait a couple days to actually make sure the story of the Superintendent of the Des Moines School District is true. It's so outrageously unbelievable that ICE picked him up and arrested him that it can only be the beginning of many, many more white collar scammers in our country getting caught.
